I recently replaced an IAC valve on a 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 automatic with a part from Amazon, replaced again after returning it, then replaced AGAIN with a part gotten from a local parts store to make sure I was getting vehicle-specific (turns out the ones from Amazon had a longer non-adjustable stem whereas the parts store part was adjustable and included instructions for initial adjustment). The third replacement worked fine for about a week then the vehicle went back to having problems just like with the original old sensor.
