Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Marshalls Latest Community Discussions About MarshallsGood deal?24m agoToday I did last minute Christmas shopping and did not have any clue what to gift my mother. My mom is a rock collector and loves anything shiny and pretty. I found myself at JCPenny today looking for a gift that she could remember and keep for a lifetime. Now keep in mind we are not a flashy family. But this Christmas I wanted to gift her something special for helping me get on my toes in life. Today i found myself looking at a 10K White Gold 18” Necklace with a 1CT Lab grown diamond. The Original sticker price says $1,749.98, but I ended up paying $647.82. I know it’s a department store necklace but is it only worth like $500 bucks or is it really worth the $1500+. I’m just curious. ... Any retro game stores in the city?25m agoHi Everyone, I'm currently living here long term while I pursue my PhD, and was wondering if there was any recommended retro game stores in the city that I could go visit? Of course there's shopping online, but I like seeing physical copies of older games in-person. Plus searching through bins or shelves for a hidden treasure or a good deal is always exciting. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What kind of prep/maintenance is needed for this wok27m agoPurchased this wok as a christmas gift for my husband at a restaurant supply store in Chinatown (i tried!) but realizing it’s not carbon steel. There was language barrier at shop and all the descriptions were in Chinese so was hard to tell what to get, but this looked the sturdiest. From what I can tell it’s a mix of pig iron and stainless steel. At this point I’d rather not exchange unless it’s a big no go - and instead just understand how to initially prep it and take care of it. Does it require regular seasoning? Can you clean it with soap? Assuming not oven safe due to handles. Thank you Bayshore — December 14, 197132m agoBack then the site was largely open fields, with just a lone Steinberg grocery store. Construction of the shopping centre began not long after this image was taken, and it would officially open in August 1973, with a relocated Steinberg store inside. Kubrick's intention behind EWS43m agoThe essence of the film is revealed by the line "the end of the rainbow." I am sure this has been discussed before, but the movie, apart from being a pretty faithful adaptation of a novel, is a critique of how materialistic society has become. The movie is set during Christmas, but the only indication of this are presents, parties, and ornaments. The only ritual is one which endorses unrestraint rather than piety. Bill fantasizes that if he pursues "the end of the rainbow," and attains the luxuries and acceptance of the members at the party, then his insecurities, including those towards Alice will evaporate. Every person in the movie basically serves some transactional p... Last Minute Christmas, Gift Cards Referrals That Actually Save You Money46m agoWhen you are out of time for Christmas shopping, gift cards are the easiest solution. They are instant, work for everyone, and avoid shipping delays completely. What most people overlook is that gift cards are one of the few last minute gifts where you can still save money or get something back if you buy them the right way. Instead of purchasing gift cards directly from a store, you can use a mix of gift card marketplaces and reward sites to either get instant discounts or earn cashback or miles after the purchase. That means you finish your Christmas shopping and still keep some value for yourself. If you are picking up gift cards, these are some of the easiest ways to save money or ea... Any tips on getting O'Reward stats up?51m agoObviously cropped out any identifying information about myself or my store. And for reference, I am the bottom red line. My sale numbers are low since I let my people get sales as I work on projects around the store. I pitch in when needed but as my SM says, I manage the front, ISS the back, and he's there for backup. (Or to pick up the pieces lol) I'm an ASM and I know my stats should be one of the best in the store since I should know policy and how to get things done the "right" way. That being said, it depends on the month. How am I supposed to get O'Reward transactions up if people don't want to give phone numbers? I have a few fake numbers I was using for... aitah for feeling like this ruined the start of my college life56m agothe first semester of college ended the other day for me, and i feel like it got ruined by this whole situation its getting to the point where im crying multiple times about this. i havent been able to let this go since august is my reaction warranted? or am i doing too much? i have bawled my eyes about this multiple times, i've called several hotlines in tears, and i dont know if that's normal considering this isn't on purpose. this has bothered me everyday since august. i was hanging out with my sister the other and we were playing and my hand accidentally touched her chest. it wasnt my intention at all or sexually motivated, and ive been freaking out. i pulled my hand back... Customers aren’t perfect either. Let’s bridge the gap and talk about it.58m agoThis is a rant. The Internet is a thing now. The consumer has no excuse to not know what they want with what’s available. As far as the deal goes, if you get a bad deal, you the consumer are to blame. You can see what every single comparable is selling for. Be a decent human and your sales person will be more willing to work with you. A lot of dealerships are flats based payplans so their only incentive to not give you discounts is to not get bitched at by the managers. The whole ignore the monthly payment only negotiate the otd doesnt make much sense either. if you’re financing, the payments mean everything. The average consumer has no idea what their ridiculous discount will a... MvC Roguelite: the Grand Tower ep 21h agoJust bought MvC for PSX in a retro game store. I'm doing a challenge run. Start with 2 random characters, neither of which can use special moves or supers, and build your team up over dozens of runs until you can beat the arcade 8 times in a row at increasing difficulty without getting your party killed. Each time you clear one of the eight "floors", you visit the shop and can get upgrades and recruit fighters. You can also gain permanent character level ups that unlock specials and supers for different fighters. The goal is to clear the tower in as few runs as possible. Looking for feedback on the design! Especially creative unlocks I can add to the shop. Episode 2: https:/... SAS Gameplan1h agoThis is going to be my first SAS in 5 years. Just recently getting back into fragrance and Bath and Body Works as a whole. ( I used to be heavy into the BBW candle community though lol.) I want to know your SAS gameplan, especially from the vets lol. Do you go in the first day as soon as the store opens? Do you go multiple times throughout the sale? Do you make a list beforehand or just go in and see what’s on sale before making definite decisions? Do you bother shopping online during the sale or strictly online only? Let me know! SAS is 2 days away and I am so excited!!! What are your tips? How do they get away with this?1h agoMy first Christmas gift is a truly rare item1h agoToday is Christmas Eve here in NZ and at 2pm the arrival of the NZ Post van meant I could stop worrying about a parcel that had stopped any tracking updates around a week ago. In the parcel was a rare 2006 limited edition set of hand-painted pewter Teuber Robbers. While the pewter robbers were available in larger numbers through the Catan shop, only 300 were made with special packing and numbered to be given away by Klaus Teuber himself. Even rarer this set is not only signed, but on the back it has a handwriiten dedication! So how did this package come about? In mid November I got a message from a German lady called Annette who had seen my collection and offered to help me find items I ma... I got Glisten as an early Christmas gift!1h agoSo for the past few years I've been wanting to visit my local BAB but for various reasons I hadn't gotten around to it, but anyways I was out with family getting some last minute gift shopping done earlier and they wanted to get me an early gift while we were out. I immediately thought of Glisten who I have been wanting to get for the past 3 years and we were heading in that direction anyways, so off to BAB we went! As a first timer (not counting my two trips this year to Great Wolf Lodge since they aren't official full-sized stores), I absolutely loved it especially as my local store is still of the classic design which is so much nicer than the newer ones. Now with the cont... What aesthetic would I be?1h agoSo I tend to wear shortsleeved graphic tees, basketball shorts/jean shorts, socks, and cheap sneakers or flip flops in the spring and summer, and long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts/hoodies over top, jean pants/sweatpants, and the same cheap sneakers for fall/winter unless I absolutely have to wear boots that I find at thrift stores and get new stuff occasionally from them or a local Walmart or wherever someone goes to shop but mostly thrift stores or Walmart. The only piece of clothing I have that’s different is I wear a newsboy hat one for fall and winter and one for spring and summer (I have 2) so I’m curious what aesthetic would that be if there is one? I’m very much into animation ... There are hundreds of items, with a huge number new in original boxes, many never opened. The collection includes locomotives, rolling stock, accessories, and track from well-known brands, all carefully stored on shelving in a dedicated space. This was a serious hobby. not a few random pieces and it’s clear a lot of care went into acquiring and preserving everything. We’d love for the collection to go to collectors or dealers who truly appreciate it. Question: What’s the best place to take a collection of this size to downsize it properly? A reputable train shop, auction house, or sp... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
