Recently got laid off and considering moving here (family of 4 - young kids). It's the area flanked by Chinatown and 215 vertically and Spring Valley and the Strip horizontally. Surface level discovery makes it seem like very multicultural - lots of ethnic restaurants, boba shops, a mosque and artisan stores. Wondering what the catch is? Looks like it offers great diversity, proximity to the strip and airport. Have visited Vegas several times for work but never lived longer than a week or two. SoCal born and raised. This rant is two sided. First of all, I work there. I'll be the first to admit the company can **** at times and that it's incredibly weird that depending on where you shop (if it's in person) you can get such a wildly different experience. long story short i bought a used LG phone from a pawn shop to play music where i work they told me they were obligated to tell me that the phone had been sim locked but the wifi worked ok. i created a new google account on my pc at home. when i want to login on my phone to download youtube app on the play store, at the "add a phone number?" screen, nothing works.
