Why is sugar-free A&W root beer so difficult to acquire despite it being an active SKU at nearly all grocery sto...

1h ago

I really like the taste of sugar-free A&W root beer, but my curiosity is more about the seemingly paradoxical supply chain dynamics that must be causing this. I must be missing something. - Everytime I go grocery shopping it's never in stock. This is over the span of several years, several regions, several stores. - When I order groceries online, it shows up as a substitution. - It's NOT discontinued, it does come back into stock. - Everyone that knows about it knows it's excellent. It's got real demand So, if this is a product with a real demand, and it's always going out of stock, why do the various bottling plants collude to not meet that demand? Y...

My birdlings looking at me whenever I open my closet

1h ago

I didn't realize some of the birdlings were so sought after! My husband surprised me with the birdlings as an anniversary gift about 3 years ago after I saw some of them in stores, except the pigeon and seagull, which I randomly found at a couple shops. The pigeon was the one I really wanted after seeing it on display from a distance while I was driving, and I wasn't able to stop to buy it. I ended up finding it by chance somewhere else. Not really a jellycat collector, I just love birds and happened to see these cute little birdlings so I wanted to get as many as I could. Kinda kicking myself for not getting the rest of them when they were readily available at the kid's...

Will the Quik-Lok system have more of a sale for "Spring Cleanup?"

1h ago

Any thoughts if the Quik-Lok system will have more of a sale for "Spring Cleanup?"

Too late but who cares?

2h ago

So on Friday, while shopping, we found a special offer shelf of Chateau Neuf du Pape for under 5 pounds a bottle. Yeah, right, I thought, that's normally posh and very expensive, right? Still, worth a try. Bought everything else, a store-made pizza and some regular supplies and off we went home. The wine was... really nice. A little research over the weekend suggested it should have cost, for that vineyard and that age -- 2022 -- between 25 and 30. I should buy several and drink them over the next few months. Apparently. So the bad news -- we weren't the only people to have noticed. One left. But the good news -- at least there was one left. It's mine, now.

“I Asked Questions I Shouldn’t Have Asked”

[Translated from spanish] Chapter I — Casual Curiosity I didn’t start looking into it because I thought it was dangerous. If I had, I wouldn’t have touched it at all. It came up the way these things usually do—half a conversation, not meant for me, said out loud because no one thought I’d care. My wife was talking with my mother about a friend of the family, a woman roughly our age, maybe a little older. Someone I’d met a handful of times. Quiet. Polite. The kind of person who apologizes for taking up space while very clearly taking up a lot of it. They weren’t being cruel. That’s important. They were worried. “She’s not well,” my mother said, the way people say s...

Tallaght Test Route

One of our users passed their test last week and said the examiner brought them along this route, so I’m sharing it here in hopes that it can help anyone else. https://preview.redd.it/4hs0yav1o5hg1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4d03fe6f4ed9342c844a8ab7f61fc3682c0244d Reverse is slightly uphill but apart from that I think the route is nice enough Test route (first section): [Google Maps Dirctions](https://www.google.com/maps/dir/53.2966321,-6.3615888/53.2987637,-6.3494078/53.2990301,-6.3519754/53.2945048,-6.3455894/53.2966401,-6.3615389/@53.297987,-6.3541711,683m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0!5m1!1e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDEyOC4wIKXMDSoKLDEwMDc5MjA...

Need Help With Clothing

2h ago

So I’m falling down hard figuring out what new clothing to get. I'll know it when I see it and I haven't seen it yet. I’m a cis man.  I’m bi but mostly for Fin individuals.  Not really into masculinity.  99% of my clothing today is hiking and camping friendly, in earth tones, and it screams straight guy. I want some clothing that is less… that. I want to fit in at a gay bar (the local one does really good shows) or such. Most nice men's clothing is boring. Black pants, a nice jacket. I don't wear that kind of clothing ever. I want clothing that elevates my wardrobe and helps me stand out to attract women, feminine men equally, that shows I made an eff...

Is It Better To Buy Used Baby Gear From A Thrift Store Or Online?

2h ago

Trying to decide between **buying baby gear at a thrift store vs online resale**? Both can be great, but they’re good for *different* things. **Quick breakdown from a parent-who’s-done-both perspective:** **Thrift stores are great when:** • You want super cheap basics • You don’t care about brand or matching sets • You’re okay digging and leaving empty-handed • You can inspect items in person Perfect for clothes, toys, and books. **Online resale is better when:** • You want specific brands or models • You need big items like strollers, carriers, swings, or bouncers • You want to compare condition and prices side-by-side • You don’t have time to t...

New Lego store coming

2h ago

A bigger Lego store is heading to Trinity. Not sure where, but I went for a wander tonight and the top suspects are: \* The Maths city unit close to Trinity Kitchen \* The old TGI Friday unit \* The old GBK unit on the top floor (a bit restaurant centric up there though so doubtful on that one) \* The short lived French bistro unit to the left of the toilets (lots of passing trade there, and next to a toy shop, so I think that has the strongest odds Have I missed any? Or does anyone know exactly where it will be?

Vintage workwear & Americana hunting in Texas – looking for advice 🇫🇷

2h ago

Hi everyone, I’m French and I’ll be doing a road trip through Texas in April, and I’m a big fan of vintage clothing, especially Americana and workwear (old denim, western wear, Pendleton, military pieces, ranch/work clothes, etc.). I’d love to get some local advice: * Which cities are the best for vintage hunting? (Austin, San Antonio, El Paso… or somewhere else?) * Any thrift stores, vintage shops, flea markets, or hidden gems worth checking out? * Are there areas or neighborhoods known for good vintage finds? * Even tips like estate sales, charity shops, or small towns nearby are welcome. I’m really interested in authentic places and local recommendations rather than...

Is it just me or is this a little weird?

2h ago

So I work at a grocery store rn, and one of my coworkers introduced me to one of her friends who was shopping there at one time, he apparently really likes this niche thing called potato candy which my family happens to know how to make, fast forward to today and he’s talking about buying some but he later mentions that he looked over my facebook page and idk if that’s like normal, but it’s lowkey giving me a lot of anxiety and I feel a little weirded out, I mean I’ll still make him the candy though I’m getting paid for it

My "espresso maker" moment

2h ago

It finally happened. That thing i've been waiting for, that i just couldn't make myself buy, for which i often salivate and fantasize. It finally showed up late-drop in my RFY, between an old-lady costume for kids, and a laxative for dogs.

Screwed

2h ago

Hello Dashers. Today I accepted a double shopping order for groceries. Order A: 9 items, order B 32 items. The offer was around $30, with hardly any miles. While I was pulling those orders, I received an offer for a 3rd order, same store, for an additional $17 and less than a mile in addition. So, yeah, I know a lot of you are thinking I was ****** to take the initial order, but it is what it is. So I spent a good deal of time pulling these 3 orders, where I ran into some obstacles: 1. The supermarket chain has a lot of empty shelves, allegedly because the big storm slowed down their deliveries. 2. Meat is always a messy issue because the brands asked for often differ from what the store h...

I Joined a Game of Hide-and-Seek on the Dark Web Part 10

2h ago

Terror welling up [again](https://www.reddit.com/user/DantesGhost92/comments/1egjxu1/i_joined_a_game_of_hideandseek_on_the_dark_web/), my eyes darted across my surroundings. A couple of buildings down, I saw something. It wasn’t ideal, but the slamming of those heavy combat boots reminded me it would have to do. Charging toward it, I darted inside. It was a store, an older one from the looks of things. Scaffolding coated the outer walls like a metallic spider's web, while the inside seemed stripped to its bones, the renovations nowhere near complete. I prayed to god that it was empty. If by some miracle I’d managed to avoid that masked woman, the last thing I needed was the commot...
