They look roughly the same online, in terms of equipment and classes. Any recommendations or personal experiences? Mainly looking for general use: treadmill, weights, sauna.

Hello, I just recently moved to Pittsburgh. I'm living in Friendship (Bloomfield). I'm trying to find a gym for me and my girlfriend. I also like to play basketball, so a gym with a court or a league I could join would be ideal as well. I got a free workout at the LA Fitness in bakery square, and it has everything that I could want. But it's a bit pricey, busy, and overwhelming. I was going to check out the local rec center since they seem to offer $5 passes or the YMCA.

Lots of clubs in Dallas have removed or are planning to remove the racquetball courts. Gonna **** to lose these for our friend group but i don’t see any stopping it.

Is there a good court to play indoors in near creskill/tenafly? Places I've tried so far: Impact zone in Norwood have the sides lines cut short and their rims are in need of some love. LA fitness in Paramus is closed indefinitely for floor repairs. Garfield location is closed permanently. They say the one in Wayne has one but that's a little too far for as often as I want to play. Please feel free to throw out any suggestions.

Any idea what the old gym across from transit Ctr on pac hwy by 272nd is being converted into?

I need to find a gym that has a women’s 35# Olympic barbell and plates so I can continue my routine while I’m visiting family out of state. I already have my programming from my coach, so I just need space to work. What commercial gyms might have this? I called some smaller local gyms with no luck. I called the two closest LA Fitness gyms. One sounded so confused when I asked about barbell and plates and ultimately told me they only have 45# bars but didn’t know if they have weight plates. Hey #DAKatz, who was the imbecile who thought it a good idea to fabricate the charge of accusing me of sending an email threatening to murder ADABeerman.  You do understand you will need to produce this email if I’m ever in front of a judge. Your problem is, I never composed the email and thus couldn’t send what doesn’t exist.   When you had six #NCPD cops grab me while I was at LA Fitness, the reason they used was because of this non-existent email.  A few of the cops told me they read the email, when I asked to see it, I was told “their validation team had already validated it.  Really?  Why wasn’t I arrested? I was charged on Nov 18 for $60, mind you it’s my first time at LA Fitness. I got charged $60 in less than a month on December 1st. Could someone explain to me why I got charged that amount? I pay $30 per month

I'm being forced to swap off of Active and Fit since my company is switching from Cigna to UnitedHealthcare. If I'm solely using this for a normal gym access say a LA Fitness or something, it's kind of the same as Active and Fit correct? I sign up, and have access to all these normal gyms, and can go to whichever one I'd decide that day? Or is there some special check in procedure etc. I'm just trying to figure this out before I sign up for something that I'm not intending to.

Im a fat guy trying to get moving in the winter. So far woodway treadmills work best for me in that they dont skip or have issues with my weight when im jogging / running. I looked at LA fitness, YMCA and Crunch. They all have the normal treadmills. Looking for a boutique gym that has woodways. Anyone familiar? I can mention you as a referral source if you message me.

You must pay a separate contract and fee to use the machines. I called the customer service line and they told me it will only be available as a group class. What a joke.

I usually go to the LA Fitness in Crossroads to play indoor basketball, but I was surprised to hear they renovated it and replaced it with a lift room instead. Anyone know any indoor basketball courts where you can just walk in and play basketball for free or for a small membership fee? I miss this sport a lot.

I’ve been at LA Fitness for a few months now paying about $40/month. I really want to switch to Crunch since it’s way closer to my house and literally half the price. Before I cancel, I was wondering: does LA Fitness ever adjust your membership rate to keep you from leaving? If I tell them I’m switching, will they offer a lower monthly price?
