How to avoid overpaying for electronics in India (AC, TV, Fridge, anything)

19h ago

Most people automatically go to Vijay Sales, Croma or Reliance Digital when buying electronics. But there’s something many people don’t know 👇 I am **Sandiip Giria** from ***Giria Enterprises***, and we supply **almost any electronic item you can name** — ACs, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, kitchen appliances, basically a **one-stop electronics store**. Because we’re not a big retail chain: * We usually offer **better prices** than Vijay Sales, Croma & Reliance * More flexibility on **discounts & exchange** * **Genuine products with company warranty** * Proper guidance instead of forced upselling * **Lifetime support after purchase** (help even years la...

Please share anyother recommendations.

which controller should i buy ps5 or gamesir cyclone 2 for pc (india)

8d ago

Hi, I want to buy a controller but I’m confused between the **PS5 DualSense** and the **GameSir Cyclone 2**. Right now, the **DualSense is on sale for about $50**, and the **Cyclone 2 is around $53**, so my maximum budget is **$53**. In India, a lot of good controllers are overpriced, so I only want to choose **one** from these two. **My requirements:** * Budget: **$53** * Buying in **India** (Amazon.in or other sites — I’m currently thinking of Reliance Digital for the PS5 controller) * Use case: **PC only** * **Gyro is the most important feature** * Games I play: **Resident Evil, RDR2, The Last of Us, Souls games** I really like the PS5 controller, but I’m worried about setting...

Late to the party

Bought it yesterday from Reliance Digital at 54990 anticipating the boredom in the upcoming holidays. Wanted to play GTA 5 as a kid. Accidentally purchased the online version and then the GTA 5 version. Have requested to refund for the online one as it was purchased accidentally. Let’s see. Although it feels life was just as good without the expensive purchase 😅

Are businesses in India slowly forgetting what customer commitment means?

9d ago

I want to genuinely ask people from other cities if this is happening with you as well, or if it’s just my bad luck. These days when you buy something in Bangalore, the problem doesn’t start at payment, it starts after payment. Customer care will very politely commit a delivery slot, something like “sir, delivery between 2 and 4 PM,” and it feels like a proper agreement. Then the real trouble begins. The delivery person calls in a rushed tone saying “saar location send maadi,” so you send the location thinking maybe he doesn’t know the area, fair enough. After that, you wait. The promised time comes and goes. You try calling the delivery guy again just to be sure, but he doesn...

X300 pro demo experience

27d ago

Due to the rave reviews of x200ultra and x300pro I was interested to get one just for the camera and was waiting for its india launch. After going through all the online reviews I went to check the demo in various showrooms this Saturday and Sunday. Visited the Vivo store first and initially I was disappointed due to the infamous AI processing on humans. Next I went to Croma showroom where i could check iPhone 17 pro max and x300 pro side by side. Here the experience changed in a good way. Took number of photos of human subjects and both the phone did stunning job. iPhone till 100mm and Vivo till 85mm or even 100mm were so good that i would say its a personal choice which phone camera you...

S23 green line issue and service experience.

32d ago

Back in October, a first line came on my screen during charging, it has One UI 7 during that time. It was a very minute red line, barely noticeable. 2 weeks later, I updated to One UI 8 and within 3 days, another line came during charging, but this was a green line. Within 6 hours, it turned into a fully fledged thick green line, like a tubelight. Then last week, I got the 3rd line, which was more minute than the first red line I got. I live in India so the service centers offee free replacement for the screen for phones bought from here , with 649rs for service charge and no warranty for the screen. We also need the purchase receipt (if you don't have it, you can download the invoice ...

Telephoto extender kit will be available during January end or February in India!

33d ago

So I went to a Reliance digital store to check the demo unit of X300 pro today. When I asked about the telephoto extender kit offer, they said first 100 customers will get 4k discount on extender kit and it will be delivered only during January end or February, but we have to pay full amount of the extender kit while buying phone itself! It felt ridiculous. Why should one pay for a kit 2 months in advance? Did any of you enquire in other stores? Phone looked and felt great and felt very similar to Oppo find X9 pro when I compared side by side. Actually Oppo had better textures on faces in portrait mode. In other modes, it felt very similar but Oppo had better editing options after clickin...

The "AI PC" Tax: Are you paying extra for a button you will never use?

33d ago

Walk into a Croma or Reliance Digital today, and every new laptop has a dedicated "Copilot" key and a sticker screaming "AI Ready." But let’s cut through the marketing fluff. Is an "AI PC" actually worth the premium in India right now? I have been testing a few laptops with the new Intel Core Ultra and Snapdragon X Elite chips. Here is the reality check. **The Hardware (NPU):** These laptops come with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU). In theory, this offloads AI tasks from your CPU/GPU to save battery. In reality, unless you are a creative professional using specific features in Adobe Premiere or Audacity, that NPU is sitting idle 90% of the time. **The &qu...

Any upcoming discounts for Nord 5 (India)?

38d ago

I am planning to buy Nord 5 (8GB/256GB). Right now the price is around 32K INR (India). A few weeks ago, I saw it for around 28-29K INR. I have time to buy it until December 12, but I am confused if I should buy it now or wait for a possible price drop or sale. Do you think the price may go down again before December 12? Any suggestion? Should I check offline stores? e.g. Croma, Reliance digital... PS: I can get 5% cashback from my amazon ICICI card. _(Reposting since the original was posted at 2 AM and didn’t get many views)_

Where’s the best place to buy a brand new fridge + washing machine at the lowest price?

38d ago

Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy a brand new refrigerator and a washing machine (preferably top-load, fully automatic, 7kg). I’m looking for the best deals and lowest prices. For those who have purchased recently: Which stores or online platforms offer the cheapest prices? Any seasonal sales or bank offers worth waiting for? Is it better to buy from Croma / Bajaj Electronics / Reliance Digital / local dealers / Amazon / Flipkart? Any tips for negotiating with offline stores? Would appreciate recommendations from Bengaluru users too, but all India insights are welcome. Thanks in advance!
