I’m currently abroad and my Jio SIM suddenly got deactivated on October 26. I had recharged it on July 19, and I never received any message or warning about expiration. I’ve contacted Jio support multiple times but they keep repeating the same thing that I need to visit a Jio store in India with my Aadhaar card to reactivate it. Since I’m an nri and right now I can't travel and that’s not possible for me. Has anyone faced a similar situation or found a way to reactivate or at least retrieve OTPs remotely? Edit: I had to go to India, visit Jio store. They forced me to call Jio Care and get a TAG number (I don’t know why it wasn’t possible for them to do as I was in their office. I didn’t have any SIM card to even call Jio care - so take a live indian sim with you to make offline calls). Then they took my Aadhar number, got OTP and took my picture and gave me a new SIM card with 340Rs recharge. The idea is old SIM card is dead. May be e-sim works? Not sure.
