Do these go on sale? I love these tiny one on my key chain but TSA took it from me. I can afford one without discount but it’s more about discipline.. but do these go on sale ever?

Die grinder suggestions

1d ago

For context, I have a husky 60 gallon 175 PSI standing compressor so running air tools is no problem for me. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this die grinder or any McGraw air tools and what their thoughts are. Reviews seem good but would like some extra input or maybe some recommendations on some decent die grinders. Don’t want to cheap out and get absolute junk, but I also don’t want to be spending $400 on a snap on lol. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

Welder help!

1d ago

Buying a HF welder tomorrow, currently shopping this one. Will be used for project car. Think body repair, light subframe work, and a few other items like that. Any recommendations or am I on the right spot? I just don’t know if the 240v will ever be necessary or if it’s a good idea even if it’s just in case things ‘heat up’ Edit: thoughts on HF PPE or go somewhere else?

Is my Avanti airless sprayer toast?

2d ago

Sprayed about 60 gallons of PVA and superpaint in my shop interior. On the last bucket of paint I realized the mesh screen had broken off the suction inlet. Sprayed just fine the whole project. As I was cleaning the sprayer I could no longer get it to prime or spray, even after priming with mineral spirits and water. Cleaned out all filters and discovered a small shred of a paint rag in the inlet elbow. Now I’m getting a burning smell when attempting to prime or spray. Can I replace the pump? Is the motor serviceable? I’d take it back but I already am on my warranty replacement on this unit.

Maddox OBD2 reader options

3d ago

Upcoming sale has all Maddox auto tools 35% off starting Monday for ITC members. So I'm trying to decide between these 2 cheapest scanners. Only difference other than screen size I see is the $45 one 'displays' live data while the $90 one has 'streaming' live data. Any other differences? Which would you pick/do you have? Not a professional, just want it for my personal Jeep Cherokee XJ.

Maybe a silly question

4d ago

Was hoping to find a site or service that would alert me when certain things are on sale. There's a few items I'd like to get that don't go on sale very often, and there's no way to set an alert in the harbor freight app or website. Sorry if this has been discussed before I didn't see it. I'm familiar with the flip coupon tracking sites but they can't offer individual item tracking. Anyone know of a way other than religiously checking the hundreds of coupons every week?

How does this one conpare

How does this set compare to the martin body hammer set? I know its not going to be close quality wise but would it be good enough for a while till I get the monies to buy the martin ones. Like im starting in autobody and already buying a bunch of stuff so im just very curious if anyone on this subreddit has used this set alot.

Clearance…replacement inbound? Or just discontinued.

Stopped by a store today and saw this marked as clearance for like $80 off. Anyone know if there will be a replacement or if it’s just done? At this price it’s a decent deal.

Feedback on Hercules router

5d ago

So I have my Dewalt trim router but looking for a full size one to stick in table and use on a slab flattening sled. Harbor Freight has their Hercules on saw now with the plunge base for $109.99 and I’m thinking about getting it but would appreciate some feedback from owners especially. In the end a router is a motor spinning a bit at bat out of **** speeds so I’m thinking this would work for me. I use the trim for most things now anyway. Someone in another community said it’s not powerful enough for a flattening sled but it’s the same HP as a Bosch which I know people use for this. What say ye?

Harbor freight tool box for h2s?

5d ago

I’m picking up an h2s soon, and I need a good Stan to place it on that won’t break the bank. I limited on space, but I’ve found a harbor freight tool box that \*should\* work. Just wondering if any of yall have used one of these for the H2 series?

Best stand for H2S

11d ago

I’m ordering an H2S here soon, but I want to have everything set up prior to it arriving. With that in mind, the location I have my current printer won’t work for the H2S due to its size. I also do not have a ton of space to work with. I’ve been seeing people use the harbor freight 27” x 22” tool box for their printers but I haven’t seen anyone use one for the H2 series. What do you guys recommend for a sturdy, mostly cost effective stand that doesn’t take up a ton of space?

Can I stack the 15% on this?

LSA registration systematically fails, every time. That's not an accident.

12d ago

RIDGID is on my bad-guy list for wasting my time, again. EVERY time I register a new tool (typically a few times a year, every year), the RIDGID LSA registration processs goes badly, and without one, or two, or three interventions would fail, as RIDGID and their insurer intends. It is just downright fraud, and frankly, I am sick of it. I am drafting an enema letter to the CA state Attorney General (a complaint) to ask that this systematic fraud be charged. (All the officers of the company.) Except you can't really even figure out who's selling the tool anymore (also on purpose.) Is it Home Depot? Nope, its their house brand, but no real involvement anymore. Is it Emerson El...

If You Like Watching Grime Melt, You’ll Love This Steam Cleaner

17d ago

I picked up the Central Machinery 1500-watt steam cleaner from Harbor Freight during the Black Friday sale and finally put it to work the other day. First use was cleaning a Roomba, which worked great so I decided to try something bigger which was a deep clean on my car. The car was previously owned, and the headrests and center console had a LOT of visible wear. I genuinely couldn’t tell if the standard cloth upholstery in my Altima was actually worn down or just absolutely filthy. I’ve tried cleaning it before with normal cleaners and didn’t have much luck, so expectations were pretty low. For prep, I lightly pre-sprayed vinegar on the headrests and used Purple Stuff on the center ...
