Great Clips Locations

i’m a student without a car on campus, need somewhere within \~40 mins walking distance. i’ve got pretty long hair (for a guy at least) and would prefer someone under 50$, but if someones worth it i’ll pay it. i’ve always just went to great clips but i don’t think there’s one near campus besides coralville. any tips are very appreciated!

Got my new system installed 2 days back. I think this is a little too much hair than my previous system. Can i get a haircut at sports clips or Great clips or is it recommeded to go back to the installer?

Are there any "old timey" independent barber shops in Denver for a middle-aged guy with a simple "just make it shorter than it was last month" need? Like, a non-corporate place that doesn't charge $60 for a trim? I **** Great Clips and Floyd's, but have to go there out of necessity. Any suggestions?

Hello Sac Reddit, I am in search of a barbershop in the area that has knowledgeable “old school” barbers. A shop that has guys who know how to cut longer hair, maybe the hot towel and shave treatment. Somewhere that has a relaxed ambience and quality cuts. In my experience a lot of these shops w younger guys do a great job at fades but they’ll leave the top all chopped and uneven. Plus they can be a little expensive ($50+ tip) I’ve heard a lot of horror stories of places like great clips, sports clips, etc. so I would like to avoid them. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. TYIA🙏

I just recently got my license and was hired at great clips, it's been near a month and I'm pretty sure they might kick me off soon due to the fact that I unfortunately can't do full haircuts in under fifteen minutes and often I still take at least 30-40 and still need help sometimes to get it done quick, the gm talked to me about it and said I have a week, I don't know why people think it's beginner friendly because it is NOT it *****. I work at great clips right now, so since the haircuts are cheap, it brings in a lot of people. We also don't usually do shampoos, and they cost extra. I feel like there's this idea that professionals (whether that be doctors or any other kind of personal care workers) are desensitized, and won't be bothered by nasty things., but I **** that. Hey, I just needed some advice and glad I found a community to do so with. I got my license I August and haven’t done anything with it. School was a terrible experience for me and now I can’t find anything that sounds interesting to me. Plus I don’t feel like I’m good at anything I was “taught”. My ex did my hair for 6 years. She did a ******* fantastic job. Of course we are no longer together and the great clips by the liquor store off Shugart left me wanting to bang my head against a wall. Like. Holy fuckin **** it was bad and honestly I felt like this woman was just saying **** the haircut I’m trying to smoke…. But I was genuinely out of options.
