Great Clips Locations

Is there anyone who does a short consult, wash, cut, & style for $50 or less? I have thin straight shoulder length hair & I’m not doing anything unusual with it. I stopped going to schools after a 50/50 success rate, along with Great Clips. I mean an actual named stylist who has a good reputation. Surely this still exists?

Anyone here from Toronto? How's your experience with Barbering gone so far? I'm a new barber and I'm at a shop that's a great learning opportunity right now as the other barbers have 20 years experience. However, I'm not getting the reps I need to excel. Is there any sort of beginner level shops with high volume you suggest I go to? I have the opportunity of working at First Choice, and I've heard places like great clips are good places to begin. Wondering if anyone can recommend anything else - I'm not picky just want the experience.

This is killing me. I just got my license in early december then got hired at great clips and they know I’m brand new at this but they already want me cutting straight away! I’ve worked there so far five days now and my manager said I should’ve already been cutting my third day. I’ve been licensed for a little over a year now and so far I have been working at Great Clips. It’s been alright, I’ve learned a lot, but I know my haircuts are quick and cheap because that’s what they want. The problem is that i really want to do more services (color, extensions, better cuts, etc), there just isn’t a lot of opportunities in my area. Hey everyone, so I just started barber school today and I’ve come to some realizations. Pretty much I know I’m not gonna learn everything I need to know in the 10 months I’ll be at the school. I’ve never really cut hair (outside of shaving my own of my homeboys head haha). I know I’ll need the practice while in school and after. Should I apply for somewhere like Great clips after school? I’d like to take my toddler to get her hair cut for the first time, but I google is so generic when you plug in hair stylists for children’s cuts, you get like great clips, super cuts, Walmarts salon. (Those places are fine- this is just her first hair cut and I wanted her to really enjoy the experience.) Recommendations? She still has a lot of her really fine baby hair and I’d like to get it trimmed to help with her wild hair through out the day.

My daughter needs a haircut, long overdue, but I have really bad anxiety about calling/texting to schedule appointments. Some of the places want you to call or text people’s private cell phones and I cannot bring myself to do that. I would love to find a salon that does walk-ins or where you can book entirely online (not just a request form). I’d prefer if it wasn’t a Supercuts or Great Clips type place because she really wants a salon experience, and I would love to grant that for her. But, if not, those places could work.

James at Great Clips Mountain Grove told me a month ago that he was highly experienced with High & Tight having had his own shop for years. He sports one himself. However, what my husband got from him was neither a fade H&T nor a marine H&T ( which James stated he was doing). When he was done James said, "I did 8 on the side and 10 on top, do ya want 8 all over?" What? Not only did he just buzz cut the hair, he didn't even do that well! It's different lengths all around and he left multiple hairs longer than an inch! He didn't even get the eyebrows well. For Pete's sake, this is grossly disrespectful to your customers!
