It is no surprise that restaurant prices has gone up significantly in the recent years around GTA. Today, I answer the question of BY HOW MUCH? Since 2020, Restaurant food prices has gone up by \~40% (depending on the categories and a bunch of caveats). **Viet/Dim Sum/Korean** saw the highest price increase in the realm of 50%+. This aligns with my spider sense, as a bowl of Pho or Korean soup could easily cost $20 nowadays, while back in 2020, it would cost around $13. And 2020 is not even that long ago... Was absolutely ******* heaving inside with delivery drivers, could not get anyone’s attention to get a refund or order remade. Completely done with McDonalds now. Hi! First, thank you to whomever created this group. I was starting to feel like i'm the only person with a canola allergy! I wanted to ask if anyone in the US knows of fast food places that do not use canola oil? I do not eat fast food often, but on occasion, a need does arrive for hectic day where I don't feel like cooking nor do I want to go to any sit down place. It is also useful to know for road trips. My instructions say deliver to me. The driver left my food outside on the ground in the snow in 11°F weather instead. He left it on my door threshold so I do believe he was just being a total *******. I wanted to cancel the tip but I wasn’t presented with the option to do that. Maybe my mistake was paying with Apple Cash. Never again because I can’t even do a chargeback. Anyway, I reached out to support explaining exactly what happened. It took them 2 days to respond. These are the responses I received. I guess they’re just not in the business of making things right.

I feel like ever since Covid I hardly never see a restaurant with more than 20% of their capacity taken up. Is everyone taking their food home to watch with youtube / agoraphobic? Am I the only one? The only places I cant ever get a table for are Starbucks. Just 15 years ago Potbelly used to have musicians play music during lunch and now that feels like that could never happen.
