Looking for suggestions for a gym that has a sauna available for use with any membership. I used to go to Bailey’s years ago when I first got stationed here and loved using the sauna after a good workout. Going to start back up after the New Year. Haven’t tried Chuze Fitness or any others and wanted to know the best place to go to based on others experiences. I’ve always wanted to get a membership at L.A Fitness or Crunch for the nostalgia (my mother and I used to do the Crunch Fitness Pilates/Abs workouts on DVD lol). Anyway, I’m open to suggestions!

Who has experience with the classes at Crunch Fitness? What do you like or dislike about them?

At Crunch Fitness, my current gym, I've been working out in the gym and taking classes for pilates and TRX. I've also seen four types of classes for HIIT. If my current goals are muscle building, strength training, and bulking, is there one class that would be best suited? These are what they are:

I recently signed up & still need to buy work out attire, etc. Do you think they’d frown upon me if in the interim I just use the Hydro Massage Chairs & tanning? Even athletic shoes are way more than I thought! 🫶🏻

Re-rack the weights and dumbells.

I went to one of the locations and lo- it was open. I asked the staff at the desk what was going on They told me that a very poorly notice was sent to all members that all the Boise locations were closing. They explained that the notice failed to mention that each Crunch will now be Villa Sport, they aren't closing all the current locations. The staff were very gracious and said they'd spent the entire day explaining what had happened. I suppose it's a good thing Crunch sold out because that was a terrible letter to have passed through corporate.

Does anyone have experience going to Villa? Personally, I have only been to Planet Fitness, YMCA and Crunch, and I am sad I have to transfer to another gym.

With the recent brutally cold weather, I was thinking about starting a month-to-month membership at Crunch Fitness Brook Road location (closest to me) and coincidentally saw that they just completed a renovation. I think they just reopened today actually. To current members, could you please share your thoughts on the improvements and overall value for their $25/mo membership? I’d mostly be using it for access to a treadmill and the weight machines (no classes). Also, I’d probably only go 1-2x/wk on weekends, since I work longer hours during the week. Normally, I get up really early to do Pilates at home on weekdays and take a 30min walk at lunchtime. TIA!

So this has been an ongoing situation but to make a long story short, I went to crunch to sign up for their higher membership options, i was told about a promotion that was going on that basically said pay 1 cent and get the month for free. At the time i signed up around the end of the month, i clarified with the employee that I signed up with the promotion and he said yes, when i get to the gym 2 days later i was told about an overdue balance and a late fee on my account. I was confused cause i thought i got a month free than start paying, the person at the desk said that the promotion that was put on my account was sign up for 1 cent and get the rest of the month free. Anyone know what's going on with the MBS fitness on Weston rd (plaza with the Popeyes and Burgers priest behind the home depot)? Was looking into a new gym and was between the MBS or the new Crunch fitness (that is now delayed until spring 2026) but last week saw that the gym was completely stripped on the inside. Yet not seeing anything on their website or socials? Anyone know if they're just renovating or if that location is closing?

I'm really tempted to join my local PF as they have a deal for $19.99 for the black card, $1 down and a $49/annual fee, as there's a new PF opening next month in the next county over. How often does this come up? I joined crunch fitness back in July, and am paying $11.99/month. I can cancel but have to fork over the remaining $75 ish bucks. Should I do that now, or does this deal usually come around every so often?

I’ve been an in person personal trainer for the last two years, spending the first year at a crunch fitness and then moving up to another commercial gym I currently work for. I’ve been with this new gym since about April and while upper management is as hopped up on sales koolaid as you can expect, they’ve also been trying to railroad our trainers with a **** ‘ new policy ‘. Hey everyone! I’m looking for a gym buddy at CrunchFit Dresden. I usually go in the mornings (2x/week) and sometimes afternoons. I mostly work with weights and want to try short runs too (probably at Großer garden) just starting out, so no pressure. I’m just starting my journey in the gym and realized I really struggle with staying consistent on my own. Context: My best friend and I live over an hour apart (I’m in the Brampton/Mississauga area, they are in SW Ontario). To stay connected, we’ve decided to start "gym-ing together" via FaceTime. I’m a gym vet, but after moving, I lost my "grandfathered" $20/month LA Fitness rate (RIP). We are looking for a new base, ideally a franchise with locations in both our regions, that is cost-effective but doesn't feel like a basement dungeon.
