Howdy, so I have an on-going issue with this gym I had a membership at for a year. It was a Crunch fitness in South Carolina, I started the membership and then moved across the country after a year. I was busy and didn't try to cancel it while I was still in SC. I found out that they required a signed, physical letter while trying to cancel over the phone or email. I had my sister just write up the letter and sign in my name, I have written proof that I gave permission for her to do so. This was early 2025. Then starting in late spring, they tried to continue charging my debit card, I got a new card. I emailed this gym and they claim that they have no record of me cancelling my membe...

Anyone else confused by the $59.99 annual fee they were charged instead of the $54.99 that you agreed to pay? Allegedly they upped the annual fee and sent out emails in December 2025, but I didn't get anything. Update to add: the front desk employee said we were sent an email in December and told us to email the manager for a refund. The manager confirmed they never sent a notice via email and said there were notices posted in the club, which is not true. They refuse to send a refund and I'm considering a credit card charge back just on principle.

Hey guys, Anyone go to the new crunch fitness in East Longmeadow where staples used to be? I need a new gym and was looking into that one. If I join today there's no enrollment fee but I won't be able to make it there to check it out lol. Wondering if anyone has any reviews or opinions about it

“Broke” because I’m being taken cared of by my parents so knowing that this is their money makes me less lenient with my financial decisions. I was at crunch fitness before. Turns out they changed my account 60 days after I had signed up. I take full responsibility for not properly reading. However I also wasn’t aware of the “+5” they add a day whenever you don’t pay it and by the time they let me know , my balance was $120. I wanted to cancel but needed to pay an extra $60 (this months bill AND the 30 day notice bill). I’m in quite of a pickle. A year ago i got this gym membership, the cheapest one, at crunch fitness. Me and my girlfriend had a plan to go but we went once and it wasn’t our thing. I was 16 at the time time and i didn’t have a card or anything so i asked my mom if she could put her card on it and if she could pay she agreed and put her door dash card under it. After i stopped going i tried to cancel but they told me i couldn’t and i just had to pay for the year but my mom didn’t want to pay it so she got whole new card so she didn’t have to pay crunch. 28 a month, no initiation fee. Where I am in Southern California I can use the ymca crunch la fitness planet fitness, I pay 40 a month for La fitness alone through the gym. Really good discount for us check it out look up active and fit. Expires at the end of feb get it on it.

I always thought that there is no point being dressed "nice" with brand name hoodies, shoes or lycra (?!) **** when you go work out because we all smell like rank armpit at the end of the sessions. I just wear a plain t shirt. But most people at my local Crunch Fitness seem to be explicitly dressed for working out while I just take a clean but ugly t shirt, and now I m feeling a little embarrassed :(. thoughts?

I'll leave this simple for you guys. Tried quitting crunch for monthsssss....they told me they'd take care of it. I called multiple times, sent multiple emails, etc. Never got any help for actually cancelling it. Always just dragged through the mud. After months of charges I finally said, "screw this". I called my bank and disputed these charges...provided proof with my attempts to cancel. My bank disputed it for me, got my money back. I'm a complete noob to fitness and working out. I have no idea where to begin. Checked out the gyms in my area and the fees, 12-month commitments and supposed difficulty in cancelling is freaking me out! I want to take a step in the right direction but I need advice. Is a gym membership the way to go? My husband says physically going to a gym will motivate him but I personally would prefer a home gym. What are your pros/cons for home gym vs. gym membership? I'm trying to break into healthcare / health educator role; I been in the health & wellness industry for over 11 years and I want to continue working along healthcare professionals in a clinical setting (inpatient or outpatient) I also been thinking about becoming a EKG technician or Certified Medical Assistant, I would ideally like work in a hospital setting or in medical office to gain more experience.

I signed up at a Crunch Fitness location in Tampa after seeing their ads saying *“Join for 26¢ & 30 days FREE.”* I wasn’t 100% sure about the gym, so I told them upfront that I just wanted to try it first and decide. My Coworker just moved here. She’s trying out gyms with childcare and she told me that she wanted to try out crunch. I remember about a year ago there was a child left in the childcare center and when his mother went to pick him up he had bite marks and bruises all over him. None of the workers could answer what happened and they wouldn’t show any camera footage. They were deleting comments on. Their social media anytime anyone talked about it. When I told my coworker she was horrified. Do we know if that poor mother ever got answers?

PSA: Crunch Fitness has released internal guidance around potential ICE raids and is clearly supporting ICE and its operations in whatever may come. This puts vulnerable communities at risk.
