Like I said on the title, I've been unemployed for most of the year and have burned through my savings in order to pay rent. I don't start my new job until the 2nd week of December and I was receiving EBT as a way to supplement my ability to get a meal but due to the government shut down, I haven't received benefits. There is a phone in the entryway where they dial a code to call me, and I buzz them in. I live on the third floor and have a table by my door with a note above it for them to place the groceries there. There is an elevator. There are carts downstairs if it’s a big order. Download the Too Good Too Go App - you can get food from local stores and restaurants at the end of the day with best by date that is close. Often times these bags are about $6. You don't know what you'll get bit there's a general description for example - baked goods, prepared foods, fruits/veggies. Whole Foods has started doing meat bags recently as well as deli foods too.

I know aquaponics is technically different from hydroponics but I'm working off a theory that 'living system bacteria' is a missing piece of adding a strategic mix of nutrients to each plant. Got the new Whole Foods meat bag, produce bag and tried the Amazon Fresh Prepared Foods, produce and Bakery. Overall I'm very pleased. Produce was very salad heavy as usual, but I was excited to get some fresh fruit from my Whole Foods bag. WF Meat bag $9.99 - was super excited to snag some red meat. Update for anyone interested: I made a spreadsheet with the prices of everything we regularly buy and included Trader Joe's, Amazon Fresh, Safeway, costco, target, and walmart. None of the other stores people mentioned are near us. To my surprise Amazon fresh was cheaper for almost everything by A LOT. most things were HALF the price of every other store- for meat(a third the price), produce, dairy, snacks, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels. Just in the last two months we've started being able to order perishable grocery items that aren't with Amazon Fresh and are through the same-day store. Previously it seemed like all we could order were non-perishables. It's the delivery with same-day or next day with a $25 minimum.
