I quit a NorCal Safeway job last October and things have only gotten better. Found a job in an industry I like and started making $10 more an hour right off the bat with way more hours. Don’t let these union and Albertsons fuckers rip you off out of benefits, hours, and wages. These people don’t give a **** about you. For me, it's shrimp (or prawn) crackers. When we were in Indonesia, it was served with every meal and I got hooked. Very grateful I live in a big city with local Asian grocery stores, can pick them up whenever I get a craving. What other non-local foods is everyone snacking on? What kind of effort does it take to source it at home?

I lived in Illinois for most of my life and Woodman's was THE BEST grocery store. Now I've been in central Florida (gulf coast) for about 3 months and I'm losing my mind trying to find an equivalent. Publix is ok but limited, Walmart is meh, Whole Foods is good for vegan stuff but that's it. If you're familiar with Woodman's, is there anything like it around here? couple days ago i sent in my pre-employment CVSA form to my local sheriffs office. answered all the questions completely and honestly. just got a call saying i’m being disqualified before even taking the actual CVSA test because i put on my form that i’ve stolen from walmart/winndixie deli in the past. what i think messed me up was admitting i was a employer of both grocery stores when i stole from the deli. thoughts? i just thought admitting was the best thing to do and as long as it wasn’t any serious theft then there was nothing to worry about.

So I'm 40m, my parents are in their upper 70's and early 90's. Dad is the older one, and is in surprisingly good shape for his age - but he is over 90. Mom has mobility issues and health problems.
