Ex’s friend slides up on Snapchat story

44m ago

My ex bf ( been broken up for 20 mos) has a friend who is the first to slide up on my Snapchat story whenever I post. I never even liked this friend and he knew it. Like WTF. Why would he care so much about my life that he has notifications on for my stories. I mean I never see or talk to my ex. I actually saw him in the grocery store 2 weeks ago and he turned around to walk the other way. He was the *******. I broke up with him and he fought to keep me. Said ‘he’d change and knew he was been treating me bad. Anyone else think his friend stalking me on Snapchat and my bf not able to look at me or say hi after 20 mos is weird? These people are not mentally well. I’ve moved on, A...

Is my sister in law the AH?

45m ago

Hi! Long time reader, first time poster. This story isn’t about me but my sister in law (25F) we will call her Cassie and her husband (25M) we will call him Carter. Little backstory…my brother in law joined the Marines right out of high school and they got married as soon as he got out of basic training. They moved out of our state to where he was stationed and My wife and I went a couple of years without talking to her but we reconnected about 5 months ago. My brother in law is a piece of work to say the least who believes a woman needs to be doing “wifely duties” and is just a very rude guy to everyone in general. My sister in law always excused it but a couple of months ago (not ...

ambitious little kid project - can anyone help?

46m ago

I have two little kids (3 and 5) who are really really into art, and I'm looking for a type of cold process natural dye I can use to get results quickly for their short attention spans. I've been reading up on batik using glue or soy wax, and I have all these little cotton circles from another project that I'd like to use up. They are NOT to be trusted around anything toxic, so I would probably just do a natural tannin treatment on the cotton before dyeing and hope for the best. If anyone has suggestions for a quick cold process dye, any color, that's kid safe please can you let me know? This will be my first solo dye project and I'm not feeling confident. I have ...

What stereotype about your country do you feel is technically right, but exaggerated to an odd degree?

While a lot of our grocery stores sell a large amount of food at a time, I feel a lot of tourists go into bulk stores and assume that people are buying one portion. Guys, costco isn't meant for people to buy something and eat it all at once, it's meant for families, chefs who ran out of stock suddenly, and broke college students to be able to eat over a long period of time. The only single serving things round here are the stuff you buy after you get your groceries, like the hot dogs and chicken bakes

Side Hustle – Passive Income via eBay Dropshipping

52m ago

I want to share a realistic breakdown of how I make money online through eBay dropshipping, specifically for those who need a side hustle This is not a “get rich quick” post, and it’s not recycled advice for experts, this is for beginners (which is where most people go wrong). What I do (in simple terms) eBay dropshipping means: • You list products on eBay • You do not hold inventory • When a customer buys, you purchase the item from Amazon and ship it directly to the buyer No warehouse. No bulk stock. No upfront inventory sitting on shelves. ⸻ Why this works • eBay already has 135M+ buyers searching daily • You don’t need ads, a website, or ...

I Need Hooks -- Where Can I Find Them?!

57m ago

Hi all! I picked up this official Pokémon Display kiosk from a local grocery store a few months back. One of my good friends works there, and he knew I was very into Pokémon. He gave me a call and told me that I could pick it up - but when he gave it to me, there were no hooks!! I have a sizable collection of Sleeved Pack Art Sets that go all the way back to the XY Era. I would love to display them, but I obviously can’t without the hooks that came with the kiosk. I’ve looked all over to find where I can find the hooks that fit this specific kiosk. Each hole is 1/2 inches wide, and every website I find that has hooks that fit charge me $20 for shipping because I only buy 12 (the nu...

Life of A Maze Man

“Skies oddly white today, ain’t it Jim?” That was the last thing one of my groupies that day said to me before he got cut in half. Couldn’t tell you what did it, ain’t nobody see nothing. There was no sound. No warning whatsoever. While his top half fell to the cold concrete ground pretty quickly, his legs remained upright. They stood resolute, spoutin’ blood everywhere like a broken faucet. The worst part about the whole thing is, my name ain’t even Jim.  This… this is a regular occurrence. It’s like a marker, telling us that that spot is a dead end, gotta find another way around. It really ain’t shocking anymore. Got a list of last words. Could make a book outta em...

Ignored on r/NoSleep, but hopefully appreciated here - The Dog Days of Summer

1h ago

Jess was my best friend, not that I had many to choose from. We were inseparable. I spent all last summer exploring the woods around my house with her, leaving before noon and not coming back until near sundown. We found secret paths, looked for cool sticks and uncovered a waterfall that only we knew about. It felt like the time of childhood foretold in 80s coming of age films. I really wouldn't have spent those months any other way, even if I had the choice. There was no one I'd rather spend my time with. She often had the same gloomy mood as I did, but when she was outside she'd come alive, and invite me to join her. But my friendship with Jess wasn't confined just to t...

Is it normal to still think this much about your first job?

1h ago

Hey everyone, sorry if this isn’t the right place..I don’t post much, so I’m not totally sure. this is really long so I apologize in advance. I worked my first job EVER as a grocery store cashier when I was 17 (in 2024). I stayed for about 7 months, worked really hard, and honestly that job still has a chokehold on me. For context, I’m very introverted and shy. I also have a pretty serious resting face, so I think people assumed I was upset or didn’t like them when most of the time that’s just how I look. I don’t fake reactions or laugh if I don’t find something funny, so maybe people thought I was uptight or thought I carried myself like I was better than everyone else? I ...

I built an Android app to detect malicious QR codes using AI — looking for feedback

1h ago

QR-code scams have been increasing a lot lately (fake UPI payments, phishing links, malicious redirects), so I decided to build an app to help reduce that risk. I recently launched QRGuard AI, an Android-only app for now, that scans QR codes and analyzes the destination before opening the link. The idea is to catch phishing, suspicious domains, redirect chains, and scam patterns using AI-based analysis instead of blindly opening URLs. Current status: ✅ Android app available 🚧 iOS version coming soon Focused on QR security (no marketing, no ads focus) Direct link : https://app.qrguard.xyz https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.darkmechanic.qrguardscanner I’m posting he...

AITAH for opening a drawer?

1h ago

I (27F) am in town visiting my LDR boyfriend (25M) of a year and three or so months. He still lives with his mother as he’s saving up money post graduating from AE school. I have my own house in another city 3 or so hours from him. I rarely come to visit him because money is tight and visiting him at his mother’s has never been an experience where I’ve felt overly welcome. I’d like to add, I have celiac disease and do not frequently eat out because of it. Food anxiety is a sky high thing for me and while BF is great about helping me manage it, we’ve never had a meal at his house in the 8 or so times I’ve come to visit. Despite my anxieties, we’ve always gone out to eat, or I’...

Getting and transporting a bike out of Boston?

1h ago

Hi everyone, I recently moved here to work in Boston. My residence is outside of the city and it takes me quite a bit of time to walk to a T stop or a grocery store so I want to get a bike. I'm looking to get a second-hand bike somewhere in Boston (since there's a LOT more listings), but I don't know how I can bring it back to my residence since I can't bring it onto the T. It'll take me about 40 min to bike from the city to where I live. I've seen others recommend renting a UHAUL or Dolly to move things, but I don't want to spend that much money to move 1 bike. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do or where I should look? (I was looking at ...

Does American Express work in grocery stores/restaurants? TBC vs Bank of Georgia terminals

1h ago

When the cashier asks whether I want to use the TBC terminal or Bank of Georgia terminal, does AmEx work on either of these or is it basically Visa/Mastercard only?
