Cleveland interior design is being done right, you just have to look in the right places

55m ago

After being a little spicy about the “soulless aesthetic”, I wanted to share something hopeful. Cleveland still has places that get it right. Spaces that feel warm, intentional, and personal, not copy-paste, not trend-chasing. You know that feeling when you walk into a shop and instantly feel taken care of? Like it was built for *you* and your community? That’s what good design does. It doesn’t scream for attention, it welcomes you in. Natural light on old floors. Tile that remembers another era. Shelves that feel like your grandma’s kitchen. Local goods everywhere. A space that doesn’t care about being “on trend,” because it already feels timeless. If you’ve been to Gi...

Looking for Kolo in KW

I used to live in Addis Ababa as a kid, and just started craving some kolo, even dabo kolo. Any insights if the Ethiopian grocery stores stock it locally? Thanks a lot in advance!! Considering roasting up some barley myself

Its promise is compelling: launch a professional online store in hours, not months. No server management, no payment processing headaches, no security nightmares. For many businesses, Shopify delivers exactly what it promises—a fast path to selling online with minimal technical friction. Yet beneath this simplicity lies a paradox. While Shopify makes basic e-commerce accessible, building a Sh...

Connection everyone is missing about Carol's discovery

1h ago

Grocery store stock boy checking in, and from my extensive experience in this field, it seems obvious to me that Carol is horrified to see that the hivemind isn't properly rotating their stock. Everyone seems to understand the importance of this practice, but not even the hivemind can overcome mankind's lazy tendency to just pile new stock on top of old. This fatal flaw will obviously come to backfire on them, as in a few weeks time, they will no longer have the protein sources need to make their Fight Milk crowtein powder (made for bodyguards by bodyguards).

Starch Review

1h ago

I feel like I’m drinking Faultless Heavy Finish aerosol by the gallon lately and because money isn’t growing on trees at my house I’ve been hunting for lower cost alternatives. I’m also getting tired of inhaling fragrance and propellants. I’m sure it isn’t good for us. Today I finally did my test run of commercial, home made and instant powdered starch. I compared Faultless Heavy finish, Mary Ellen’s best press, Simpli Starch (1 tsp dissolved in 1 cup of room temperature water), regular corn starch and room temperature water, and Starch made with boiling water in the same ratio. 1 tsp cornstarch to 1 cup water. Home made starches were applied with the same misting bottle ...

Energy Drinks and Blood Glucose Spikes

1h ago

**In today’s fast-paced world, energy drinks have become a go-to solution for combating fatigue, boosting productivity, and powering through long days. Marketed as quick fixes for low energy, these beverages promise an instant jolt of vitality. However, beneath the vibrant cans and bold promises lies a hidden concern: energy drinks and** [**blood glucose**](https://beautykabir.com/the-complete-guide-to-coffeetea-and-artificial-sweeteners/) **spikes. This phenomenon, where blood sugar levels surge rapidly after consumption, can have serious implications for health, particularly for those managing diabetes or prediabetes. Understanding the connection between energy drinks and blood glucose...

Businesses need skilled developers to build and maintain their digital storefronts, yet finding developers with genuine Magento expertise has become increasingly challenging. This talent scarcity isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a strategic constraint that determines which businesses can successfully execute their e-commerce ambitions and which remain stuck in perpetual underperformance. Verizon...really?

1h ago

With Verizon announcing the layoff of 13k employees, I can't help wonder.... what are they thinking? Visible is a great product. It's not fancy. It works. I don't pay for a series of add ons I don't want or need. The marketing doesn't cost much. I feel its grown word of mouth more than anything. Why not apply this model to your business? I imagine VZW could take over the market and be really profitable if they follow suit. I can't remember the last time ive sued customer care for anything. Or the VZ store fronts? Stop subsidizing phones and locking people into services. Just give good service(s). I think thats what a lot of us really want. Value for...

What retention automations do you consider “must-haves”?

Crazy Coworker Airs Her Dirty Laundry in Public and Turns Workday into Daily Comedy Routine

1h ago

Recently during my college part-time job, I had my special coworker, “Marsha” who I couldn’t believe was employed with my team. My first impression of Marsha was when my other colleague picked her up from the street corner one Monday morning. She had been out partying all night, and came into the office in her Ray-Bans to hide her hangover. My naïve 21 year old butt had never seen such a thing. Marsha was married and living separately. Her husband walked out on her in down in Wisconsin. She was a U.S. citizen who came to Toronto for some reason. She began dating a new guy (while still technically married to her husband in the USA) to try and earn citizenship via a new marriage. Her...

A sign from Bastet?

I apologize if this isn't the right flair. It's been a while since I've posted here. So I've been distant from my faith for a while now. A combination of being on constant survival mode and depression did a number on me mentally. Now, I'm in a somewhat more mentally stable position. I'm trying to better myself in all aspects of my life, my faith being one of them. Now, I used to primarily pray to Sekhmet, but while I still do honor Her, I'm wondering if I've been redirected. I've found Sobek to be a very strong force in my life during my transition (I'm FTM and bodybuild a lot since I can't go on HRT), and as I've gone back to s...

Financial Diary: Nov 2025 (M22)

Another month, another post. This month did not have any travel at all and I have decided to move to a new budgeting spreadsheet from my old Microsoft template to one made by The Measure Of A Plan: [https://themeasureofaplan.com/budget-tracking-tool/](https://themeasureofaplan.com/budget-tracking-tool/) (highly recommend) Been loving this new template where now I have charts to keep me informed about my spending and income, though I wish there were ways to show how much money I'm putting into different savings accounts and my checking account, still a very good template none the less. **Note**: Some of the changes from last month might be calculated differently as a result of Bank Acc...

VERY low effort meals?

1h ago

Hi hi! I’m a masters student who is absolutely going THROUGH it. I’ve been eating a lot of air fried foods and snacking an INSANEEE amount but I feel really gross and guilty about it. I am usually really good at meal prepping and covering all my food groups, but I genuinely just don’t have time lately. Does anyone have any low effort foods that are high protein and/or low calorie? I’d also love some fibre ideas. The drawback for me is that I eat halal and halal grocery store ready-to-go meals aren’t super accessible where I am. I am also an insanely picky eater, but usually good with fruits and veggies!! Anyway, any low effort and hopefully cheap recipes? Suggestions? Thank you...

Worried about brain fog after 40? 🤔: Rediscover your passion & sharpen your mind in retirement!

1h ago

Okay, here's a post designed to fit those requirements: **Worried about brain fog after 40? 🤔 Rediscover your passion & sharpen your mind in retirement!** Ever walk into a room and completely forget why you're there? Or stare blankly at the fridge, convinced you've forgotten what you wanted to grab? Yeah, that "brain fog" feeling is *real,* and it can be a bit unsettling, especially as we glide past the big 4-0 (or 5-0, or 6-0...you get the picture!). But here's the thing: it doesn’t have to be a one-way ticket to Dullsville. Retirement is YOUR chance to rewrite the script! Think of it less like a final chapter and more like a brand-new sequel. ...

Toriels deserts

1h ago

I kind of had a little theory that with each of the 8 humans she may have made them all different types of deserts and here’s what I think she possibly made them. ❤️: cherry tart 💙: blueberry smoothie 💚: sour apple pie 💛: churros 💜: donuts 🧡: banana ice cream 🩵: greek yogurt ❤️: butts pie (butterscotch-cinnamon pie) this is a few of the deserts I think she would’ve made for them when they arrived to welcome them, I think she would probably experiment with the ingredients she gets from the nonexistent grocery store in the ruins the froggit gives subtle hints to when Toriel brings home groceries, I would love to hear your ideas on what else she would’ve...

Lawsons is the superior konbinis.

1h ago

This was my second trip to Japan, and Lawsons is sitting firmly at the top of my konbini rankings/thoughts. My criteria are highly subjective, feel free to tear them apart. Favorite - Lawsons Lawsons pros: - Curry pan available most of the day in most locations. - Fantastic quality socks with store colors. - Least greasy to-go spicy fried chicken cutlet. - Best salted rice ball. - Wide variety of candy options. Lawsons cons: - Iced No Mi not available in all locations. - Less savory snack variety - Lowest quality toiletry products. - Low marketing budget, they could make their presence much more known. Second Place - 7-11 7-11 Pros: - Iced No Mi available in most...
