Five steps to get and evaluate startup ideas

2h ago

Stewart Butterfield didn’t set out to build Flickr or Slack. Instead, he started by building video games. Twice. His first game, *Game Neverending*, failed. But inside it was a small photo-sharing tool players loved. Stewart killed the game, but salvaged the feature that became Flickr. Years later, he tried again with *Glitch*, another imaginative multiplayer world. It also failed. However, the team’s internal messaging system (built to help them collaborate) became Slack, later acquired by Salesforce for $28 billion. Stewart didn’t succeed because he had great startup ideas. He succeeded because he focused on problems, paid attention to what people actually needed and kept following...

Head Canons Part 2

1. Pamela has definitely tried to set up Sam with someone of their social class and standing. 2. Tucker has installed some NSFW mods in his games to get lucky. 3. Paulina Sanchez's family got their wealth from grocery stores 4. Amity Park is located in Illinois. 5. Ember McClain, Kitty, and Johnny have definitely stole alcohol and drank it as ghosts 6. The Fentons definitely would support Danielle after finding out that she's Sam's and Danny's biological daughter, along with Ida (Sam's grandmother) Pamela and Jeremy would disown Sam. 7. Jazz and Tucker would get married and she would keep her last name. 8. If Ember and Danny got together they would be child f...

What’s the hardest part of building your project?

2h ago

What’s the hardest part of building your project right now? For me, launching my first app on the Play Store taught me that polishing UI across different screen sizes is way harder than I expected 😅 If you want to take a look at the app I'm talking about: [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tervi1.darkreads2027]() Now I’m working on two browser-based projects, and I’m curious: What challenge are *you* currently dealing with design, users, marketing, scaling, features?

Snow storm

It’s the first one this season. I know it’s wrong, but I wish I was with you. Rushing to the grocery store for ingredients and wine, taking the long way home and looking at Christmas lights. A cozy evening with candles, records, blankets, and laughter. I want to be slow dancing in your living room while Bing is singing White Christmas. I want to lean in close and rest my head on your chest, your hand tracing over my back. I want to look up into those amazing glittering eyes and know that everything between us is ok and how it’s supposed to be. Even if it’s just for tonight. I want it with you. I miss you.

Part history book, part cookbook, never read anything like this

2h ago

My son got me this cookbook for Christmas last year because he knows I’m a bit of a prepper. I don’t have a bunker or anything, but I do keep shelves stocked with canned food and other essentials. Seeing all the hurricanes, floods, and power outages over the past few years have made me a lot more cautious. This isn’t your regular cookbook. Every recipe is designed to last months or even years without refrigeration, and the author includes the backstory behind each dish. It’s part cookbook, part history lesson, like a little window into how people used to survive when grocery stores and fridges didn’t exist. I’ve been cooking my way through it the past few weeks. Some of the rec...

Need help finding plums or a good plum flavor

2h ago

For the past few years, I’ve been making macaron gift boxes for Christmas gifts for coworkers and other people around me. I get to experiment and have fun baking, and they get a decent sampler of macarons; win-win. This year, the theme I’m going with is fruit forward flavors, so I’m prepping a bunch of jams for my fillings. I have flavors planned like: caramel apple pie, white chocolate cranberry, guava cream cheese, dark chocolate orange, spiced bourbon pear, banana bread, and blueberry cobbler. And I think another flavor that would be perfect for Christmas would be sugar plum, but no stores near me sell plums!!! I live in a pretty rural area. For some reason the local grocery store...

East or West? And Neighborhood Advice??

2h ago

EAST OR WEST SIDE OF THE RIVER?? Are the East side or west side neighborhoods more "walk friendly" if you are going to live without a car? And which specific neighborhoods are most walkable? My priorities are access to parks (I have a dog), grocery stores, and a few coffee shops. Bars are of zero priority and I do not go to restaurants that much so they are also low priority. I prefer also to be able to take walks just around the neighborhood with my dog without it being completely chaotic... Thanks for your recommendations and advice!

What are these brown spots?

Bought this rosemary plant from the grocery store a few days ago. It’s been thriving but today I noticed these brown spots on the leaves. What does it mean?

The impossible condition (Hyperacusis)

2h ago

I-have a condition called Hyperacusis which makes me allergic to sound, I had a year where I could speak now I can wear earmuffs to the grocery store etc, I have severe tinnitus and I haven’t been able to take a shower in 2 years because the water sounds like coins hitting tile. Imagine life but 1000x louder and also every sound causes pain, my family recently gave me an ultimatum, admit you’re a horrific person and this condition is a mild experience at best or die. My condition has a high suicide rate because it completely isolates you from outside life, I tried to build a life on social media, bullies were always there around the corner to destroy it, plus the ambiguity of everyone’...

[Mod] 1935 to 2025 fictionnal but realistic scenario [Work-In-Progress]

2h ago

Hey everyone! I’m working on a new mod/scenario for TEW9 and wanted to share the concept. **The idea:** For every TEW release, I usually make a minimalist 1935 database and let the game organically generate wrestlers and companies over time. I love watching the world evolve naturally. With AI tools being so accessible now, I decided to take it a step further by building a small but more detailed universe, complete with images for future workers and several companies and wrestlers scheduled to debut later on. **The scenario:** The game begins in 1935 with nine companies worldwide, all starting at the smallest size. TV won't be available until the 40s. Pre-created companies and w...

I achieved an equifax 850 and then it was reduced to 831 because Fidelity had a glitch. Here is my story.

2h ago

Throwaway for obvious reasons. I achieved an 850 after years of steady effort. On Nov. 21, 2025 it became official. And then, because of an error with Fidelity, Equifax took my perfect score away. From 2020 through 2025 my score steadily climbed from the 700s to 800s, then finally hit 850. I was surprised to say the least. I took screenshots. My partner and I had a little back-and-forth thing going on for years where their score was always slightly ahead of mine. Then the company I work for was bought out. Fidelity sent me an email. The 401k loan I had, which was earning 10% back in repayments I made to it with nearly no fees, had a glitch. They couldn’t move the payroll withdr...

A Cop's Diary 📝

Prelude: The clips were going viral all over instagram, Of the beast who was supposedly over 300 kilograms, And his face eerily resembled Uncle Sam's. Plot: Witnesses first saw it victimizing a local tram, they said it was lifting buildings just to perform downslams. . Me and my rookie answered the distress call and left. For the past few days he had been looking depressed, but now he trembled with excitement, this would be his first arrest. . We checked and secured our anti hulk round, because if it failed there might not be a next time around. . As we neared the scene, we heard a loud metal bang, and just then, our secret radio rang. . Armed with new ...

Prepare for what’s coming II (Thai GL for 2026/2027)

3h ago

**Last update: 29/11/2025** Thai GL is not slowing down at all — if anything, it’s getting even wilder. After all the recent announcements I think it is finally time for a new edition of "**Prepare for what's coming**" for 2026/2027. If there’s anything missing, any status that has changed, or a project that’s been quietly canceled, please let me know so I can update it! # Old Announcements That Are Clearly Moving Forward These are projects announced a while ago that are very much alive: filming, in post-production, openly aiming for an early 2026 release, etc. **4 Elements \[32 Episodes\]:** A sapphic mega project that will adapt the "4 Elements" saga b...
