For much of its length, Signs Road borders the 814-acre William T. Davis Wildlife Refuge, once a notorious dumping grou... Upcoming Donation Drive2h agoIndivisible Inland Empire is hosting a donation drive this Sunday, November 9 from 10am to 1pm at Kenyon Park in Rancho Cucamonga. The park is across the street from Albertsons, so you can do your weekly grocery shopping and then easily drop off a donation. We just hosted a donation drive yesterday and had an amazing turn out! We’re hoping this one will be even bigger! All donations go to local groups who distribute directly to IE residents in need. We’re collecting: Non-perishable food New, unwrapped toys Grocery store gift cards Cash (goes directly to food banks who are able to stretch each dollar further) Kettleman’s cream cheese2h agoTL;DR: what does Kettleman’s use as their base cream cheese? I’ve been on the hunt for a decent cream cheese to replace the fallen Western/Liberté cream cheese that was discontinued a few years ago. I’ve tried all the domestic and foodservice brands I’ve been able to get my hands on. The closest I’ve been able to find in grocery stores is the President Rondelé, which is quite pricy and hard to find, and in foodservice the closest is Elite Dairy but that’s also hard to get around here and only comes in large format. The next best is the flavoured cream cheeses at Kettleman’s. Kettleman’s says their cream cheese is “produced within 100km of our stores”. I assume this... Is my site's security only as strong as my weakest 3rd party app?2h agoRunning a Shopify store and something's been bugging me. I've got about 15 apps installed, each running their own scripts on my site. Analytics, marketing tools, review apps, chat widgets, etc. If one of these apps gets hacked, does that compromise my site? Like, they're injecting code into my pages and accessing customer data? Is this actually how it works? Or does Shopify isolate these apps somehow so one bad app can't take down everything? Question Of The Day: NYC Government run Grocery Stores? What could go wrong right?2h agoGee what could go wrong the Government running the Grocery Stores and YOU are at Their mercy to what You can and cannot buy or find in the Store and the quality too. People tell me to not risk it on opened containers. What's the risk? A dumpster diving acquaintance "cut off" the top of a guacamole that was was slightly bulging out of the plastic that I didn't bother with but I'm curious how bad it is So here's some items I debate eating when opened or not sealed: \-opened bag of chips (slight tear or fully opened) \-parsley crackers \-garlic hummus (with the lid but no plastic) \-meat (opened bag and also temperature sensitive?) \- jars when you can press the button on the lid \-veggies in the compost (green) bin. jus... How my app gained 50+ downloads just after launching...🥳🥳2h agoI recently launched PicTick, an Android app that automatically refreshes your wallpaper daily as part of a visual motivation challenge. In the first 7 days, it crossed 50 downloads—zero paid marketing, just organic word of mouth and sharing among friends and a few posts in relevant communities.Would love to hear what you think helped or hurt this early traction, and open to any feedback on taking it further! Just joking. OK so it's just me, my husband and our kindergartener, she's on the spectrum and has limited vocabulary. We don't have any family or help, so I'm the primary caregiver, I take care of mornings, dropping her off and picking her up from school. There is a wait list for before/after school programs but I really don't want to do that to her anyways. She's never been with a babysitter but the cost is wild and it would stress me out too much, I don't have anyone in mind. My husband works long and hard hours and sometimes Saturday mornings too. OK so I really want to be a cashier, w... WorldFans Update: We're Almost There! 🌍✨2h agoHey Worldcoin community! [H]The China Plug (Reposted)2h agoHi everyone, I’m new here so don’t mind me if this is the wrong place to post. I never used Reddit in my life haha. I moved to China from the UK and started collecting China-simplified cards. Particularly only Gen-1 cards as I collected cards back from 1999-2003 and stopped when I hit secondary/high school. So my knowledge about Pokemon in Gen-2 upwards is beyond existent. Hence why I only collect the 151a-c sets. Since looking over prices of Chinese simplified cards on cardmarket, eBay and etc. I have came across providing a service where I can source, buy for you and sell Chinese simplified cards and booster boxes. As you know 151a-151c is going for outrageous prices and I can sourc... How a skincare brand turned post-purchase silence of 26% to 49% repeat customers using AI agents2h agoThere’s this mid-sized skincare brand we’ve been working with. They were doing okay like good product line, decent website, strong marketing. But after that first order? People bought once and disappeared. The founder literally said, “We spend a fortune getting them to buy and then we ghost them.” So we decided to fix just one thing and what happens after checkout. Without new ads or discounts, we introduced a system of follow ups which are smarter. A **post-purchase ecosystem** that runs itself. Here’s what happens now after someone buys a skincare routine kit 👇 1. **Firstly, The Routine Suggestion Agent which** immediately sends a tailored 4-week routine based on the ... The grocery store hack that cut my shopping time to 20 minutes and my food waste to zero2h agoFound out why I was wasting so much of my food and my grocery money, because I was meal shopping rather than category shopping. **The perimeter-only rule:** Produce section → Meat section → Dairy section → Done. Skip all middle aisles except one pass for rice, pasta, and canned beans. In-store time: 20 minutes max. You use a timer on your phone, and when it goes off, you leave. “Protein Math that Nobody Explains” In reality, your body is only capable of processing 25 to 30g of proteins per meal when it comes to muscle formation. Consuming 60g of proteins at one time is just a waste of your money - it will just become expensive Breakfast= 25g, Lunch= 25g, Dinner= 25g. Total= ... Requesting some help with a school assignment2h agoTaking a Public Health course that’s emphasizing food safety and I wanted to see if anyone here had any photos of their kitchens or work areas that could help. The assignment is asking to: Find 5 or so photos of different food-related settings. Examples might include: - A farmers market or grocery store - A restaurant kitchen (with permission) - Signs related to food safety (e.g., inspection grades, “organic” labels, hygiene notices) Focus on aspects of food safety or regulation, including strengths (e.g., clear labeling, clean environments) and weaknesses (e.g., poor hygiene, unclear labeling). Thank you guys! How a skincare brand turned post-purchase silence of 26% to 49% repeat customers using AI agents2h agoThere’s this mid-sized skincare brand we’ve been working with. When do you have to give ID to buy groceries? Has he ever been to a grocery store?2h agoSource - https://x.com/atrupar/status/1986065100931801302?s=46 Should I️ just stop trying?2h agoThis is a screen shot of our family group chat with my husband’s parents and sister. I’ve blocked out names for privacy reasons (not that I️ think they’d ever see this and if they did I’m not really sure it would matter). My husband’s family always complains they don’t see our daughter enough because we don’t come visit them. My husband is in his last year of medical training. In his fellowship he works 6-7 days a week so it’s not like he has weeks off (as mentioned in the text above - he’s doing a sports medicine fellowship so he has to be on the sidelines at all basketball and football games). I️ work full time and I’m 18 weeks pregnant with our second (yay!). O... 10 Free Tools Every Canadian Small Biz Should Know2h agoRunning a business in Canada is expensive enough, so I'm always on the lookout for free (or almost free) tools to make life easier. Here are 10 I've personally found useful (all are either completely free or offer a generous free tier), and I'd love to hear what other entrepreneurs here are using as well. *(Feel free to add your own go-to tools in the comments!)* 1. **Google Business Profile**: Free tool to get your business on Google Maps and Search (so customers can actually find you!). Let's you manage your listing (hours, photos, reviews, etc.) at no cost. This one’s a no-brainer if you serve local customers. 2. **Wave Accounting**: Totally free invoicing and boo... Where can I shop for this style?2h agoHi everyone! My girlfriend and I will be moving into an apartment in April. We have been looking at furniture and designs and have settled on a look combining the two pictures I’ve attached. (Sorry for AI!) I am curious on websites and locations I can find furniture and decorations to fit this style (we are already looking on tt shop, temu, yard sales/flea markets and thrift stores). We are college students and cannot afford to spend $500+ on one piece of furniture. Any recommendations are appreciated!!! (Also, if anyone knows what this style would be called please let me know) Cutting hours finally2h agoI've been waiting on it at my store, and it's finally happening. Was asked last week to take Friday off, so I did. And now this week, I was already taking Friday off, but was asked to take tomorrow as well, and I left today after only 2 hours. I originally said no, but realized I have a lot of PTO that I can use, so I jumped on it. 4 day weekend, woohoo! And at least in my market, it's because of the government shutdown, according to my SM. He actually said that was the reason today. ***** for those that don't have the PTO to use though. I'm at least lucky enough to be in a position that I have some I can use, and even if I didn't, it wouldn't ... 🛡︠Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
