Lol I tried s&s and ace hardware but can’t find any TYIA ! Found this interesting1d agoWhile searching for the new spring redbull in door dash to see if any stores had it, I found other listings for old redbulls. Weird Gemini Experience - OPINIONS?3d agoOk, I need some input here. I had a weird experience with Gemini tonight. I was driving in my car and asked a question about where to buy hardware for the storm door on my house. Gemini proceeded to ask for guidance from something/someone named Noah to determine how to answer my question and it sounded like it's "stream of thought" (or whatever you want to call it) was being fed to me. It went on for like 2 minutes having a one-sided conversation, "talking" to something besides me. Then it denied even knowing what this "Noah" was or that it was conversing with a 3rd person of any kind. This felt kind of spooky. I pulled up the transcript in Gemini w... Owner of cleaner company has me between rock and hard place4d agoOk I’ve been employed with this company for just about a year and a half. I work shipyard in the day and I clean 3 different buildings at night. This one particular building I’m talking about is an electrical building so the inside is kind of like an ace hardware store. The floor is made of concrete and the electrical company has been complaining about the floor for about a week. Problem is I’m cleaning the floor with some company floor cleaner inside of a weed killer tank and a darn surfer type mop. The company keeps complaining and are ready to end contract but as I’ve stated in first paragraph the building is only done once a week because the company dosent want to pay my boss co... 32 ways to resist Trump (besides protesting)5d agoThere is no single solution to fighting fascism. Each way we resist adds pressure. When enough pressure is applied, rats will start fleeing that sinking ship. 1. Boost pro-democracy social media posts (upvote, comment, share). 2. Boost pro-democracy websites and businesses by clicking on their link in the search results and not the ad. This will save them money and boost them in search results (you can also do the opposite with pro Trump websites and businesses). 3. [Boycott local businesses and national businesses supporting MAGA.](https://www.chicodemocracy.com/boycotts.html) Also, leave online reviews for companies on the boycott list. I've tried Lowe's and Ace Hardware in Puyallup and both places told me that they don't do this and to call a locksmith. I called several I found on Google that told me they also don't do that and one guy told me it would cost me over $100 and to go to a hardware store. I'm going to try Home Depot in Puyallup and McClendon on Canyon but would love to hear a success story so I don't have to keep calling and stopping in places. App doesn’t work6d agoThe Ace Hardware app has not worked in weeks. Every time I try to search for something I get the error in the attached screenshot. I have deleted and reinstalled the app without success. Furthermore, I’ve tried to contact someone through the apps customer support. I am unable to do that either. There is a web form, but the submit button does not work …and in the chat bot it ask for a phone number in xxx-xxx-xxxx format before reaching a person, but the keypad provided for the form does not have dashes (and it won’t accept a phone number without dashed. It really seems like someone got fired in the IT department at Ace Hardware and did some maliciousness on the way out. Thank you, Vermont7d agoAs a flat lander, you guys are so nice and helpful and eager to share the greatness of your state. It’s bananas out there this weekend with so many tourists, and every person, every local, every worker I’ve interacted with has been fantastic. So patient, so friendly, so welcoming. I hope everyone is kind or at least reasonable to y’all in return. The grocery store, the gas station, the propane stove store, Walmart, Ace Hardware, the dispensary, the creamee place…you Vermonters are a truly wonderful group of people. Keep that **** up. Thank you. Weber Pulse 2000 Electric Grill (Black)7d agoTraeger Ranger + Pelican iM29757d agoOutstanding solution for a grill/pellet smoker that you can store small and airtight. The Pelican perfectly fits the smoker, a bag of pellets, extension cord, and accessories like tongs. You do have the take the handle off the grill each time(2 screws). The pelican is sealed so no smells at all when storing. It is a pretty heavy/big lift, so if you’re not strong it’ll take 2 people. Used this setup for a couple years now with no issues. Cheers Substrate8d agoAnyone have a different substrate they use? I love my 50/50ish eco earth & repti bark but it’s become so expensive where I live. Was hoping someone found a similar thing at an ace hardware or likewise store. Looking for a specific type of item and I don't want to go to a big box store9d agoAre there any local stores that sell kitchen organizing stuff? Like shelf dividers, containers, the shelves you can put spices on in cabinets, that kind of thing? I'll do an Ace hardware if there are no other options but I really don't want to go to Target or Home Depot. And I don't want to order from Amazon. Favorite independent coffee (or other) businesses9d agoOn a morning walk, partner and I decided to get coffee and then decided against just going to Starbucks or Bluestone Lane or any other corporate or private equity backed coffee chain. We decided on Slipstream but had to google if they were PE backed ~~and they are :/~~. Edit: they’re not! ChatGPT was wrong :/ After thinking of all the spots we frequent and doing a little research, sharing a list of places that also fit the bill in case it’s of interest. I’m interested in hearing other’s favorite independent spots! \- DUA \- Zeke’s \- Three Fifty \- Allelo Coffee (the guy running this spot is sourcing coffee beans from his/friend’s farms in Brazil) \- Cafe Joy \- The Coffee... Best glue likely available locally?9d agoBear with me. I live in a remote area and the stores available to me are Walmart, ACE Hardware, Tractor Supply, and Safeway. I noticed that the glues people often recommend are PVA glues that cannot be frozen and, well, it's February. So shipping in EcoFlow or similar isn't an option. What's my best bet I can likely pick up locally? DIY Venture Heat Battery Switch Guard10d agoAn inexpensive, effective DIY guard to prevent Venture Heat batteries from turning on in transit. I was surprised to find one of my vest batteries was turned on when getting to a dive site and determined it was from the battery being jostled about in my gear case. The solution is simple: Materials: - One foot of 1/2" ID Tygon / vinyl tubing, commonly available at hardware stores (I got mine at Ace Hardware). Inexpensive, costing about $1.70 USD per foot (Feb 2026). - Hot water (boiling hot) - Fine-point Sharpie - Scissors Steps: - True-up an end of the tubing, trimming it square. - Swirl about 1" of the end in very hot water until it is very soft and pliable. This takes less t... Looking for a fastener size11d agoDid a speaker swap on my otherwise bone stock AC15 last week. It's not any of the fancier hand wired model. Just probably what you'd find in a guitar center. I want to say it's a C1 model? Anywho...One of the fasteners that holds the chassis in got stripped. I think it was just a low quality one. The other three were removed/replaced just fine. Where can I get another one? I went to a local hardware store (Ace Hardware) to get a fastener that was the same size, and I thought I did, but this new one does not fit. Even though I brought the stripped one and tested it out for size. Where could I get another one that's guaranteed to work? parking tips for teenage bottlerocket, authority zero, and more at conduit (winter park 02/11)12d agohey everyone, figured i'd share some parking tips for the teenage bottlerocket show at conduit on sunday, 02/11. since the venue is located in that busy aloma square shopping center, parking can get seriously chaotic, especially since the 7:00 pm start time is right when everyone is out doing their evening shopping or hitting the sunday night rush hour traffic. honestly, your absolute best bet to skip the headache entirely is checking out Prked. it's an app where people in the nearby residential-ish areas rent out their private driveways or garage spots, and since conduit is right next to some houses, you can usually find a spot just a short walk away for way cheaper tha... Stores that are not big box stores selling indoor and outdoor gardening/bird seed type products?13d agoI need perlite, cactus mix, moss bark, vermicullite, mealworms, bird seed. My usual go tos have closed and I don't want to go to Lowes, Walmart, or Home Depot. The Grow shop on route 9 going into Hadley was closed Saturday when I tried to go there, I'm not a fan of Gardeners Supply. Gardeners, bird people, where are you getting your supplies these days? Edit: thanks all; this was helpful. Wound up getting some stuff at Ace Hardware but will get up to the cooperative in Greenfield soon. parking tips for temple of love at conduit (winter park 02/09)13d agohey everyone, figured i'd share some parking tips for the temple of love show with conduit on friday, 02/09. since the venue is located in a shopping plaza at 6700 aloma ave, parking can get seriously chaotic, especially with the 7:00 pm start time hitting that central florida evening rush hour traffic head-on. getting into and out of that lot is often a total nightmare. honestly, your absolute best bet to skip the headache entirely is checking out Prked. it's an app where people in the nearby residential-ish areas rent out their private driveways or garage spots, and since conduit is right next to some houses, you can usually find a spot just a short walk away for way c... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
