Green Business Idea: A Sustainable and Restorative Furniture & Décor Experiential Store Built Around Biophilic ...

2h ago

Most people now spend around 90% of their lives indoors, a reality that has profound consequences for mental health, physical well-being, and our relationship with the living world. Biophilic design research consistently shows that environments rich in natural light, plants, organic forms, and nature-based materials lower stress, regulate the nervous system, improve focus, and support emotional resilience. But when biophilic design is intentionally paired with reuse, ecological restoration, and local ecosystem awareness, it becomes more than a wellness trend. It becomes a lived experience of repair, reminding people that healing themselves and healing the planet are not separate acts. The S...

I was eating too much protein, so that I wasn't in deep ketosis

2h ago

I've been on keto for exactly one year, and it completely changed my life! Not that I had extremely large weight (169 cm woman, down from 75 kg to 60 kg), but the clarity of mind and freedom from food noise started influencing my other life areas in an extremely positive way. I started very casually, ate what I felt like here and there, like cheese, peanut butter and was shocked about the lack of any hunger. At around 10 months since I started making more and more sports, started tracking what I eat when I stalled, and started watching my protein intake too. My appetite drastically increased, to the point when I started looking at the clock waiting for my next meal. Not that I felt u...

Would you buy this?

2h ago

Hey everyone! Hope it's okay to post this here, looking for feedback from people. I work in digital marketing but my real passion is sustainable living, anxiety management, and conscious lifestyle practices. I've spent years learning yoga, energy healing, nutrition, breathwork, getting into regen farming, etc. I keep noticing that so many people **want** to live this way but get paralysed by overwhelm and information overload. It's not going to be a subscription model - it could be a phone call, a group video chat or a product/service that you can buy if you need it - I don't want to create clutter or subscription fatigue - I want to create something that people get h...

Feedback on deck

2h ago

**Hey everyone,** I used to play MTG tabletop back in the day. I played some Duels of the Planeswalkers and started Arena around 2022 where I played for 6 months (suitable for my attention span). I came back now a couple of weeks ago because I played to much ARC and Delta Force and needed a chill game to suit my busy life. So - I created a deck I called Foodworks (Historic) last time around, revolving around the infamous Feasting Troll King. Decent deck for a newbie in MTGA I think. It got revamped a bit after I came back, but I feel like it ended up pretty cool and I would like opionions from you seasoned players to what I can improve and what is not working. I created this purely from m...

New to gardening just got this plant.

2h ago

Calathea sandriana I’ve looked into it and have a rough idea of what I need to do. It’s just the coolest plant I’ve ever seen and I really really don’t want it to die so if anyone has any tips on caring for it then please help me out. I am a beginner, I just started buying and planting things this year so I don’t know much at all. I chopped a leaf that was shrivelled this morning, at the base of the stem like the internet said. I also took it out of its decorative pot to get more airflow. It’s in a spot that gets indirect light. I keep my place pretty warm but the temps swing when the heating goes off. One of the leaves has holes, I’m not sure if this was a bug in the ...

30 Looking for Connection

2h ago

I was born in the USA and somehow ended up making my life in Wales, which has suited me far better than I expected. I like a life with a bit of movement in it — physically, mentally, geographically — but also one that feels grounded. I’m curious by nature, fairly laid-back, and happiest when there’s something good simmering on the stove or a plan forming for the next trip. I love cooking and will happily spend an evening testing a new recipe or cooking for people I care about. I run regularly (usually training for something I signed up for with enthusiasm and only mild regret), because it keeps my head straight and gives me an excuse to eat well. Travel is a big part of my life too ...

No knead wheat bread-amazing

2h ago

This wheat bread took 3 minutes of work and less than 2 hours of proofing and baking. It tasted just like store bought wheat bread but better! The ratio of work to success was so low, this is going to be a weekly batch in my house! https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/no-knead-100-whole-wheat-bread-recipe I did use milk instead of water and dry milk, and I used active yeast instead of active (and I think I used slightly too little based on the conversion chart i read after 😅). I used maple syrup but i think I’ll use honey next time!

M CHAT-R test at 18 months old

2h ago

I’m a first time mom, my son is 18 months old and today we had his evaluation for developmental delay as well as an autism screening done by a child psychologist. Based on the answers we gave her as well as his own behavior exhibited in front of her, we recieved a 6/20 score for the m chat screening and he was marked in the 5 month age range for social and emotional development, 6 months for fine motor development. Early intervention reccomended we get another screening done when he turns 2, as well as occupational therapy every week until 3 years old. We aren’t new to neurodivergence, I was diagnosed with autism 5 years ago and his father was diagnosed with ADHD at 10 years old. Genet...

Tascas: Traditional Portuguese Restaurants and What to Order

2h ago

A tasca is a small, family-run Portuguese restaurant where tradition matters more than design. They’re the kind of places where the chairs might not match, but the food and atmosphere are unforgettable. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the recipes often haven’t changed in decades. There's no fancy menus, in many tascas it’s handwritten and not always translated. The dish of the day (prato do dia) is what locals usually go for, and when it’s served in a clay pot (tacho de barro), it’s almost always a winner. Dishes like arroz de cabidela (rice with chicken and its blood), favas com entrecosto (broad beans with pork ribs), feijoada (bean stew with meat), arroz...

Jurisdictional Sovereignty: A Consent-Based Critique of Divine Authority

2h ago

**Introduction** This post develops a political-philosophical framework—*jurisdictional sovereignty*—for evaluating claims of divine authority. Rather than asking whether God exists, it asks a different question: **under what conditions would any being, divine or otherwise, possess legitimate authority over rational agents?** Drawing on consent-based theories of legitimacy, intergenerational ethics, and political accountability, the framework treats divine rule as a governance claim subject to the same standards we apply to human authority. The argument is ontologically neutral: even if God exists, authority must still be justified. What follows is an outline of the core axioms, their...

AI, energy and data centers fast forward post (if you are catching up with AI boom)

2h ago

**TLDR:** Been researching AI/data/energy sectors more and more since April 2025. The more I look into it, the more I realize this isn’t really about chips only. Its about power infrastructure and some physical constraints most people aren’t tracking. Here's what I’ve found.  What I saw happen through 2025 Started paying attention to this space around April when i had time to really dive in. Everyone was focused on NVDA earnings which made sense cause the numbers were insane. But as I dug deeper into the data center buildout plans, something didn’t add up. US data centers used about 200 TWh of electricity in 2024. Projections I was reading from the IEA showed that going to 4...

Which Forms of Biomass Are Truly Sustainable (and Worth Doing Right Now)

2h ago

Biomass is often described as renewable, but in practice only a narrow subset of biomass pathways genuinely help us in the overlapping climate, biodiversity, soil, and pollution crises we are facing. When done right, truly sustainable biomass can reduce methane emissions, lock carbon safely into soils, improve ecosystem health, and provide useful energy or materials with minimal trade-offs. The good news is that these best options already exist and are in use around the world, though they remain far less widespread than destructive biomass approaches that rely on cutting forests or shipping fuel long distances. Organic waste converted through anaerobic digestion Food waste, manure, and se...
