hi! as the title says i'm vegetarian currently (going on 9 years!) and i've attempted veganism in the past but failed after a few months. i've been working on decreasing my dairy intake, such as reducing the amount of prepackaged foods i eat with dairy in it (most of my food doesn't contain eggs or milk but unfortunately i haven't fully cut it out yet) and i don't cook with milk or eggs (i also won't eat straight up milk or eggs but that's just because they gross me out). however, i reallyy struggle with getting rid of greek yogurt. i eat it like once a day for dessert and none of the vegan substitutes taste the same and are double the calories. i'...

Hello everyone! I need help in choosing my specialization for year 2. I am currently between CAPS, ISCI, Neuro, or Chem bio. As someone wanting to do graduate school after, grades do matter a lot which is why I am hesitant to make my choice. I am really interested in anatomy and physiology (pretty much all bio expect for heavy plant based courses- no **** to plants ) along with chemistry. I’ve noticed this for years. Even if I follow the exact same recipe and ingredients, food somehow tastes better when someone else cooks it for me. I’m wondering if there’s an actual psychological explanation for this or if people just naturally enjoy food more when they didn’t have to prepare it themselves.

The new recipe is awful. I saw the label, thought "maybe they made it yummier, let me not be automatically pessimistic" Noticed the difference right away. It tasted more watered down and airy. Maybe it was the batch, but there was noticeably less cookie dough too. Devastated since this was a safe food. I don't really like to eat ice cream due to the texture, but I will gladly have the tonight dough if I'm craving store bought ice cream. This is the only ice cream I would buy. So I've never had an official diagnosis of ARFID, or ASD, but I'm fairly sure both apply. Focusing on the ARFID, I am what most people would call an extremely picky eater. I have foods that I consider "safe". For instance, I can almost always eat Pizza as long as it cheese pizza, ham or Italian sausage. Exceptions are Little Caesars. I can't stomach that at all. Hamburgers are another typically safe food, with the exception of DQ, and Texas Burger, as long as they have no vegetables and only mustard, mayo, and ketchup. No special sauces. (For reference I have x2 monstera plants in water) Do the roots look fine as I’m thinking to grow this in water before transitioning to leca. Can I start putting the calloused part into the water too? - so the base of the roots are submerged in the water and I don’t have to worry about getting the calloused part wet and potential root rot. It’s been difficult to remove all brown parts of the main roots and aerial roots. I’ve removed as much as possible and as I’ve soaked the plant in water more soil matter is slowly coming out.
