Help! I received a 6 gallon tank off fb marketplace that maybe only had 25% water and a betta in there. I have learned that this tank was never established or fully cycled so I am having to do a fish in cycle which I have never done. The betta is fine, he’s active, greets me, eager for food, and has new fin growth, no rapid breathing, lethargy, or gasping for air. He did previously have fin rot from the looks of it. It is not active at this time. I do 40-50% water change whenever nitrite is over .5, which has been consistent for the past week maybe a few days longer.
