Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan FoodsIndustrial Centrifuge Alternating Power Draw2h agoI just built up an industrial centrifuge with an HV energy hatch being powered by a turbo gas turbine and I'm centrifuging endstone dust which is an LV recipe at 20EU/t and 576 second length. Each "round" in the centrifuge takes 128s, but each round it alternates between 288 EU/t and 216EU/t. Based on the amount of helium being generated it's either doing 3 or 4 parallels and the time indicates it's overclocking to MV(?). My two questions are: 1. Is there a logical answer to why it alternates power consumption each time? Both "options" require way less than 1A of HV so I don't understand how it would be some type of buffer mismatch. 2. The Wiki say... The World of Savage2h agoThe World of Savage Inspirations for this project: Genndy Tarkovsky’s Primal Land Before Time Toy Story That Time Forgot How to Train Your Dragon Sauria Blue Sky’s Ice Age The Croods The Bone Isles The Bone Isles are a remote and enigmatic archipelago, a chain of three colossal islets each as vast as the sprawling state of Texas. These islands are the remnants of ancient volcanic activity, their rugged landscapes shaped by seismic tumult and relentless geological forces. Their very existence whispers of primordial times, when the Earth was a hotter, more volatile place, and the islands themselves seem to pulse with the power of bygone eruptions. Southern Isle T... How would having freshwater or near-freshwater oceans impact the climate of a world (like Earth)?2h agoAt several times in the past, I have been fascinated by the idea of a planet with freshwater oceans, considering freshwater's generally more clement nature; it's (theoretically) drinkable and usable by general plant life (which would allow coastal desert civilizations to just scoop it up for irrigation or personal use), doesn't sting your eyes if you swim in it or leave a sticky residue when you dry off, doesn't leave behind inhospitable mineral crusts when it evaporates, and is much less corrosive. With properly-adapted oceanic life, about the only non-climatic/physical-oceanographic drawback of lower oceanic salt levels I can think of would be that pre-modern peoples wo... Emergency though.2h agoSource: <https://www.deviantart.com/plsup111/art/plant-vs-zombie-gw-peashooter-582982187> Zomboss is building a Zombot in the junkyard. I saw the blueprints from the lawn. He is attacking in 48 hours. Gather your Plant Food immediately! Check your perimeter defences, Wall-nuts to the front, Sunflowers in the back. This is not a drill. He is bringing Gargantuars this time. # Quick little note: I am an account roleplaying as Peashooter. Just play along with me. Queen Beef Cake, The Destroyer2h agoHello all! Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, my camera doesn't like to focus the best! This big grumpy mug is my king female, Beef Cake. I love this girl. We had a betta that was my partner's and he recently passed away at 7 years old. Hippocampus had such a great personality. He loved watching me bake. He'd flare at you if you didn't visit him enough. Quite honestly, I forgot what personality these lil guys have! Now, Queen Beef Cake the Destroyer has earned her title. I had met this absolute gem of a girl in my LFS (not petschmo or petfart, we have a really good and reputable fish store) and fell in love. She flared at me. She ***** my existence. I loved her. S... I feel overwhelmed by the topic of boycotting2h agoThings like veganism and so on are also technically boycott movements. I just feel overwhelmed by it because it's rare that someone boycotts and you'd just keep seeing people around you as inhumane and it's not simple to know for sure what companies to boycott and it's a moral dilemma whether to be vegan or not and it's just overall hard in today's society. It's almost all about pleasure tho so i don't know how to defend people who don't boycott and I myself don't boycott. It just feels like a complex moral and political stance that is easily overwhelming but if I don't stand against it then what's the difference between me and... Yeh oats, woh oats… konse oats!?Trying to survive this heat without living off momos and regret. Help me build a healt...2h agoHello good people of Delhi. So I present to you my recent experience dilemma… I want to clean up my diet and stock up on actual nutritious groceries, but I am so lost. Right now, I am literally staring at a grocery app trying to buy oats because I want to try overnight oats for the first time, but I don't even know what kind to order? Rolled? Instant? Steel cut? Why are there so many types of all this and everything?! 😒 Someone please tell me what to click on. Honestly, I consider myself a relatively healthy person, but this summer is completely testing my sanity. Every time 4 PM hits, my brain just shuts down from the garmi and I end up ordering fried stuff (yes ik I just ment... Looking for accountability partner2h agoI’m 7 months postpartum and down 47 lbs (starting weight: 180 lbs, current weight: 133 lbs, height: 5’2). Nothing fancy, just portion control and being active. I do follow a plant-based, mostly whole food diet. I have experience teaching nutrition classes and have spent 7 years completing my MS and PhD in neuroscience studying flavor perception and eating behavior, so I am very mindful about my choices. I want to get back down to 105 lbs which was my weight a year before my pregnancy. I have a small frame and that weight feels most comfortable to me, but I’m not going to be mad at 110-115 lbs. I would really like someone to check in briefly over chat once a week or so to see how prog... New to the community and house plant life. Having recently moved into a flat, and never owning plants before, I’m wondering if the community has any advice for a beginner. I have recently bought some plants locally and repotting now. Some say this is best done immediately, others later as to avoid stressing the plant. I am unsure, but 4 weeks in, and here we are. I have generic soil (Westland potting mix) and some plant pots of varying sizes. Plants owned: Acer atropurpureum Monstera deliciosa Ficus starlight Rubber plant Succulent (echevaria) Succulent (I think it’s haworthia type) An orchid of sorts Food: miracle grow all purpose liquid plant food Please give... My take on the industry since leaving ten years ago2h ago*Some context: I worked as a professional editor in film and TV for about fifteen years. I left in the late 2010s, retrained, and now work in operations. I wrote the piece below, but don't have a blog or Substack to put it on, so I'm pasting it here.* For most of the last decade, when I told people I'd left film and television after fifteen years, they wanted to know why. The why was always personal, and the answer always sounded like a confession. Burnout, the hours, and the feeling that the future was only going to get harder the longer I stayed. In 2026, nobody asks me why anymore. They ask me where everyone else went. I'm one of those data points. I left, retrained... Made a LotR culinary experience for my fiancé2h agoWe are both huge LotR fans, and as a Christmas present I decided to create a Culunary Experience during all three extended Version. An HFY Tale: Drop Pod Green Ch 41 Part 22h ago“You’re not going to die!” Mohki barked out in a panic, leaning over Lirya herself to check the sensor. “I’ll check it, just in case!” Lirya’s once happy eyebrows came flat in annoyance, and her smile faded away as Mohki leaned over her, much in the same way as Nurse Shugart. Then she actually frowned as Mohki’s chest filled her vision. Tyllia snorted out a laugh and then snickered as Lirya actually turned her face away towards Tyllia, as if she had been presented with a meal she had not asked for. Nurse Shugart kept her eyes on the heartrate monitor, idly tapping at her bottom lip. “Hmm… anything Mohki?” “No, it looks fine.” Mohki sighed out in relief, leaning... TPC x Sharxx Blue2h agoOffering roughly a 9”, 10”, or 11” (pup) cuts of TPC x Sharxx Blue. Shipping included for each cut. Absolutely love the details on this cross. This is by far my fastest grower with what seems like noticeably new growth daily. Had some tip damage over the winter from being in my grow tent (now midsection of pup). Growing out nicely, see current tip photos for new growth. Three available. BIN A, B, or C. I will cut each pup as close as I can to base leaving me an aerial or two for future pupping. Should be as close to estimate on each cut. A - $50 (11”, photos 2-3) B - $45 (10”, photos 4-5) C - $40 (9”, photos 6-7, slight tip damage from hitting while moving plants aroun... I saw a moose for the first time in person and it looked nothing like the pictures or videos online.2h agoFor the sake of privacy, and for police investigation, I will not disclose my exact location. What I will disclose is that the state I live in, it isn’t unheard of to get moose but still remains fairly rare as compared to a state like Alaska. That’s why despite never seeing a moose prior to my encounter, I still knew the basic rule of that “if you see a moose in the road, try to swerve away from it”. Aside from that fact, the only other information I knew about moose (obviously outside of the basics of that they are native to North America, etc.) came from my freshman year biology class in college. My biology professor was an older eccentric lady who loved niche topics such as the ... Hello everyone, do you think I could get an entry-level job with this CV? What could I improve?2h agohttps://preview.redd.it/ltzc0lb7tq1h1.png?width=1293&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4926c3a52bbbf2264405df3cb4ab013accf5e5d I have a few questions about this plant:2h ago1- It's been started putting out roots high on the stem, is that something to be concerned about? Should I do anything? 2- Does anyone know what kind of plant this is? It's about 1.5 years old. 3- It's been drying up leaves near the base and growing long for about a year now, and I have been burying the stem to make sure it's less fragile (I also had to tie it up so it didn't fully break when someone bumped into it.) Should I be doing anything different to make it grow fuller? 4- should I put it in a bigger pot? The one I have it in is 3in tall and 2in wide at the top. I know it sounds ****** it's just a dog i should get over it but it isn't that simple, i understand the last few months of him being here i didn't really sit with him or things like that but it still hurts knowing he's gone. Since Friday (note its now Thursday the following week) everyday i relive the life leaving him. I can still feel it in the hand i was stroking him with. It was such a strange experience it felt like there was something there that i couldn't actually hold or see, li...
