I planted this fig last spring. We had an unusually cold winter. Maybe 10F degrees outside for multiple days. You can see that there's new growth at the base but not on any of the branches (except for 1 lil dangler). My question is, should I cut all of these branches back because they're dead? Hi everyone - I live in the Bay Area in California and didn't have room to bring my container garden inside during the winter, so I just let everything do its thing with plans to start again in the spring. My jalapeno plant survived and has green leaves growing at its base while the old plant looks like dead twigs. I know it is possible to overwinter a pepper plant by trimming it and bringing it indoors, but I didn't do that. Do any pepper growers know if this plant will just sprout leaves and no pepper at this point, or should I hold out and hopefully see some peppers this summer? Thanks! I’ve been ordering from DD and Uber for years and while it used to be less expensive we all know the fees have increased to a ridiculous level and the quality of service has gotten worse.
