Just a random thought. I eat lots of fruit, veg, nuts, seeds, beans, grains and legumes, as we all should. All wholefoods. But since most plant foods contain some amount of anti-nutrients (eg. phytic acid in beans), how much would some actually need to eat (eg. a raw vegan who ways lbs of wholefoods every day, packed full of vitamins ans minerals) to come close to getting a vitamin/mineral toxicity? I'm guessing it's next to impossible. As the amount of food you'd need to eat would make you sick long before anything else. When I see fruitarians and raw vegans eat so many foods loaded with nutrients, it just makes me curious how much it'd take to make them ill.

As the title suggests I am newly vegan, after being introduced to the wonderful world of Vegan eating, being shown some absolutely delicious food (Seriously, I have had a Vegan Satay Potato Curry that blew my mind with how good it was) I am aiming to go beyond eating Vegan as something I flexibly do and in the new year fully begin the transition to Vegan eating. So, guidance and advice for a new Vegan would be incredible! I live in the UK, I have a reasonably well paying job, so I can afford ingredients, but it is full time so I am often a little time pressured. I rescued this haworthiopsis limifolia ‘Twister’ from a big box store over the summer. I think I paid $2, if that. It was practically dead. Most of the leaves had turned to mush near the base of the plant, but the crown was still firm. I cut off all of the dying stuff, along with all of the rotted roots. I planted the little stump that was left and hoped for the best. Pics are from July 2, August 9, and today. It’s slow going, but at least there’s progress.

venting, not reassurance seeking For some reason i feel a bit nauseous and my stomach is making a lot of noise which is giving me intense anxiety. I just got home from a convention so i was exposed to A LOT of people and of course my OCD planted the thought in my head that I could have caught noro. i’m also a bit worried i could have gotten food poisoning from the dennys i ate before i left.
