Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan FoodsThe soil in my aquarium looks like its rotting?2h agoHello! Not sure how else to describe it. Tank has been running for around 6 months and the parameters look good, plants are flourishing, inhabitants are breeding. Recently I've noticed the soil (fluval stratum) turning orange from the side of the tank, if it was food I'd say it was rotting. Any idea whats happening? I had a dream about bannerlord cultures and now I’m mad.2h agoLong story short I had a dream that your player culture had a much bigger impact than just city stability or a mild movement perk. In this dream Imperials could recruit from anywhere non native imperial troops became imperial auxillia. You could recruit from anywhere, but since the empire had standardized troops (I know it’s based more on the byzantines and they had a much less standardized force, bite me) you could recruit from anywhere, for a slightly higher cost (for their issued equipment) and end up with a mostly uniform imperial force. The Vlandians were masters of fortification, on offense and defense, with more siege weapon slots on defense or offense, more siege weapon options, ... Dark Roux Hack2h agoI see a lot of people on her commenting about roux color and shaming people who don’t cook their roux dark enough. I grew up on the gulf coast and have eaten thousands of bowls of gumbo. Color doesn’t make a gumbo memorable but taste does. In my opinion a really dark roux can work against taste because the roux begins to have a burnt taste. But if you are a newbie in search of that black coffee colored roux go buy a bottle of Kitchen Bouquet and add a little bit to your gumbo. It adds taste as well as creates that dark color. Just don’t overdo it. Kitchen Bouquet is the cheat code for a lot of southern dishes. Here is my roux recipe One cup of flour. One cup fat. (I comb... StrenghtAnalytis Update on the Beta (Waiting on Apple) + A question about Nutrition tracking2h agoHey everyone, Just wanted to give a quick update to everyone who signed up for the beta in this thread. **Status:** The build is done. We are currently sitting in the "Waiting for Review" queue with Apple. As soon as they approve the TestFlight, the invites will hit your inbox. **What’s coming:** While we wait, I wanted to share two specific things we focused on for V1 based on the convos here: 1. **The "Two-Way" Hybrid View:** A lot of apps show how running hurts your gains. We decided to flip it and show the full picture. We are tracking how your cardio impacts your strength **AND** how your strength training is impacting your run times. +2 2. **Fuel Matters... Does cattle grazing undo the carbon-trapping of plants?2h agoI once debated a vegan who in response to being told that the carbon produced by cows is ultimately part of a natural cycle, they said that while technically true, if the plants eaten by cows stayed intact, then the carbon would be trapped inside the plant and wouldn't enter the athmosphere, so by eating plants cows are undoing the work of plants to trap carbon and thereby undermining efforts to stop climate change. **They used the analogy of someone scooping back water inside a flooding boat because "it was inside the boat in the first place".** What's your opinion on their argument? Does it hold any water? Because plants, especially grass that is eaten quickly grow ba... How hard should I work to get people to understand me?2h agoI've found I often avoid having intellectual discussions entirely because they typically just frustrate me or result in people calling me "resistant" or getting annoyed with me in general. For example, I'm a therapist, and I was at a networking event with therapists the other day. I met someone and was asking her about her practice, philosophy, etc. She went into how she uses a holistic approach, which includes diet and exercise but that some clients aren't interested because they're on medication and say that's good enough. I asked her if that ever frustrates her, and she went on this tangent about how medication can be a good thing and that we are... What are your best go to dinner recipes?2h agoWhat are some really good dinner recipes? I’m trying to open my horizon with different food options and different dinners to make. My fiancé has opened my horizon with foods tremendously but what are some of your go to dinners to make? Using 100% pond/river soil as aquarium substrate instead of Father Fish mix – good or not ? What i can do further?2h agoTank substrate details for discussion: I’m currently running an aquarium with a natural soil substrate collected from a pond/river, not following the standard Father Fish method. Substrate layers: ~1.5 inches of 100% pond/river soil (no garden soil, no compost, no additives) ~2 inches of soil cap The soil was not mixed with sand or garden soil (unlike the common 25% garden and so on.. soil approach) Key points: Soil was taken from a natural water body (pond/river), already biologically active No commercial substrates used No fertilizers or root tabs added What I’m trying to understand: Long-term stability of using pure wild soil Risks of anaerobic pockets, ammonia spikes, or nutrient ... Found this absolute unit of a plant care chart in the wild… someone send help2h ago"I'm based in Indonesia, so this is mostly for tropical/hot climate gardening." I think I’ve been majorly overthinking while compiling this guide... honestly, I might have gone a bit overboard. It started as some quick tips for growing tomatoes and chilies in this insane heat, but it spiraled into THIS MONSTER. Someone please tell me: Is this legit god-tier knowledge or did I just dive too deep into the rabbit hole? Do people actually follow something this detailed? Or am I just over-engineering the simple act of "planting stuff"? Screenshot attached Help. Send coffee. So through a quite long AI prompt this app takes some info of you (status, goal, diet preferences) and gives you a weekly meal plan with recipes and shopping list not that I was having a poor diet before, but I was almost ignoring some categories like beans, and I realised I was never going to build some muscles with the amount of protein I was eating before lol. also,... Should I Replace for Damage?2h agoI have a trip upcoming in the summertime, so I have plenty of time, but I was wondering if this would be considered damaged and would warrant replacement? I know the official site lists water damage. I found it in a puddle of water from a glass that my cat probably knocked over. The information page is completely legible and doesn’t have any visible damage. The pages are also rippled/wavy.
