I’m an apprentice in a Fine dining kitchen. My task is to create my own pre dessert. I want to make a pisco sorbet on a verjus base. My recipe for the sorbet looks as follows: \- 450g water \- 150g verjus \- 180g castar sugar \- 40g glucose \- 95g pisco \- 1,5g xanthan \- 0,5g gellan \- 1g sucro My prep looked as following: Mix 200g of water and glucose on a stove till combined. Add Sugar, xanthan, gellan and sucro, bring to a Boil. Now add the verjus, rest of the water and the pisco. Let it cool down and then in the freezer. Today was my first try and the sorbet been in the blast freezer for 2 hours now. There has formed a layer of foam on top of the sorbet. The sorbet is almos...

I work in general outpt nutrition at a hospital, so mostly diabetes and weight management, but I've been treating more GI like celiac, IBS, gastroparesis, etc. Does anyone have good courses/lectures on protocols for GI and functional health? I have helped people a lot with my basic knowledge but I'd love to learn more to help my patients beyond symptom management! Hi all, I'm not "new" to container gardening, but I have never been very successful at it. Trying again this year, I have several food grade 5 gallon buckets and a barrel that I'm going to cut in half lengthwise for a raised bed. I've been pricing pre-mixed potting soil and holy ****, it is expensive for the amount that I need. I'm wanting to find a "recipe" for growing vegetables using bags of cheap top soil and amending it with vermiculite, worm castings, etc possibly filling the bottoms with leaves, gravel for drainage, etc, but I'm reading mixed things about that. Apparently several people are not aware just how easy it is to obtain pretty much every resource in the game nowadays and still struggle with rarer resources. So for those that are not aware, do your due diligence and look into sorcerous alchemy. It's never been easier to obtain practically every resource in the game. There's even a way to get diluted sorcerous blood and sacrificial blood for free so you don't even have to keep farming thralls to take to the altar.
