Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan FoodsHow to ACTUALLY Stop Binge Eating: The Science-Based Strategies That Work2h agoI spent way too much time researching this because binge eating is one of those things everyone whispers about but nobody really talks about openly. And honestly, the advice out there is either complete garbage or just "eat more protein and drink water lol." So here's what I found after diving into actual research, books, podcasts, and talking to people who've been through it. First off, this isn't about willpower. Like, at all. Your brain is literally wired to seek out high calorie foods when it feels deprived or stressed. It's biology. The food industry knows this and designs products specifically to hijack your dopamine receptors. So if you've been blam... Batteries at $78/MWh Are Rewriting the Grid Playbook2h agoBig data dropped today from BloombergNEF: the global benchmark cost for a four-hour battery project fell 27% in 2025, down to $78/MWh - the lowest since 2009. Meanwhile, developers added 87 GW of solar + storage last year, delivering power at an average of $57/MWh. At the same time, new-build gas turbines got pricier, up 16% to $102/MWh. Gas still sees strong demand, especially from data centers, but the cost math for storage is now starting to look way more attractive. This is why storage is moving from a “nice-to-have” to a default part of project design. Cheaper batteries + expensive gas make renewable firming easier to finance and less about “what if it works?” and more about e... PSA: Organic Produce Can Still Contain Harmful Pesticides!!! (Bacillus thuringiensis)2h agoHello fellow beetle lovers. I have seen many posts with sick beetles recently, so I'm inspired to make this PSA and hopefully help warn the community about organic pesticides. I had an experience where one of my beetles became I'll after feeding a variety of things. She luckily recovered, but I was never able to pinpoint the source of the sickness. After that I decided to switch to fish foods and other processed foods that are guaranteed invert safe. Check out this article if you'd like a more in depth explanation: https://npic.orst.edu/factsheets/btgen.html It's not common knowledge that organic produce is often treated with organic pesticides. These OMRI approved produ... Looking for fresh grad/junior remote backend developer roles2h agoHello recruiters, as the title says, I am open for remote backend roles. I am currently based in Egypt and would love to have an opportunity to gain international experience. If you have any suggestions about my resume please let me know about them in the comments Try this if you're struggling to get your senior cat to eat! (This is Lemon, 19)2h agoI wanted to share a little feeding hack that’s saved our sanity the past couple of weeks, in case it helps anyone else with a senior or poorly cat. This is Old Man Lemon. He’s 19, almost entirely toothless, has CKD, and a facial tumour that’s made eating increasingly difficult. Because of his CKD we've also been having some trouble keeping him well hydrated, which made things even trickier. The hardest part was that he still typically really wanted to eat, he just couldn’t manage it on his own anymore and had started to get a bit scared of his bowl. :( Meals had turned into 20 minutes of spoon-feeding frustration, and to honest quite a lot of tears on our end. But - Lemon abs... What is the most ethical thing to do here?2h agoMy grandfather is 80 years old. He has Type II diabetes, a bad knee, and balance issues. I saw him this past December during Christmas, and he was different than when I had last seen him. He talked less and slept more. He couldn't really go on outings with us like he used to - he tried to take my family out to a restaurant, but had diarrhea in the restaurant near the end of dinner. There were things that brought him joy - seeing his grandkids, eating good food - but he also complained a lot about how helpless and dependent he was becoming, saying, "I **** living like this." A few days after Christmas, my grandfather tripped and fell (which he does a lot). Three days lat... My pants don't fit. Am I doing it wrong?2h agoHey all. Hopefully some folks can help me. So I started with strongman sandbags around 4-½ months ago. I am pretty thin in general with a pretty crazy metabolism and come from a long-distance running background. I also ate primarily a plant-based diet (probably 85% non-mean, no dairy, etc.) Mid-50s. Excellent health. When I started with sandbags I was wearing around 30" trousers in the waist. Along with strength training I re-introduced lean meat, protein for post-workout recovery and switched back to whole milk in the mornings. Nothing crazy. Maybe 3/4-cup of whole milk, mostly skinless boneless chicken, turkey and 90% lean ground beef sometimes but not often. I have a job intervie... ☢️ DZM ☢️ - Hardcore Survival Realism | AI | Missions - dsc.gg/dzm [PC | EU | Chernarus]2h ago**Prepare for one of the hardest survival experiences you'll ever have in DayZ!** This server will challenge your skills and test your limits like no other. Need help with my ginger beer2h agoI've been trying to ferment my own ginger beer but it seems like i can't get it to carbonate properly. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I followed Joshua Weissman recipe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqPko6a3Wh4), for both the ginger bug and ginger beer. I only did a couple of changes: added aromathics (fresh rosemary and cloves) and added a couple of raisins per bottle (i was told they feed the starter and they functiona s a natural indicator for carbonation: if they float it's ready) i fed my ginger bug for 7 days and it was really active when i bottled the soda. I now have 6 66cl PET bottles in my pantry, they have been fermenting 4 days now but the gi... Positive movement with citrus bergamot and plant sterols2h agoCholesterol numbers had moved up with last lipid panel in October 2025. I'm 63, excellent health, good diet, loads of exercise. No alcohol or smoking. Doctor said no statin (yet), noting my zero score on the CAC. Did a bit of research, and for last 3.5 months I've been taking 500mg of citrus bergamot and 2g of plant sterols 2x per day. I also made modest changes to diet: eliminated mayonnaise from my "health chicken salad" lunch recipe (now 100% nonfat greek yogurt), added some oatmeal and flaxseed, and removed agave, from my morning blueberrries and yogurt breakfast. I just did a retest, and saw these results (October 2025 numbers first, yesterday's test seco... (25 non-binary) neurodivergent friends?2h agoHi! I’ve lived in the city for a few years now and originally moved here to live with a partner who is now just a friend. I moved out of the city this past June to reset and find myself again after the breakup and now I am looking to move back into the GTA by April 1st. I used to be an incredibly social person but in the last few years due to health and personal reasons have become quite introverted. While I was living in TO originally, I did meet one friend who I still have to this day as we have become very close but I’d like to branch out again/start living/meeting others specifically neurodivergent where possible! If you’ve read this far, thanks! A bit about me: I will be 26 in Ma... Week 4: Meringue - Pecan & Brown Sugar Cinnamon Meringues2h agoPecan meringues - https://www.food.com/recipe/pecan-meringues-469595 Brown sugar cinnamon meringues - https://fayesfood.com/brown-sugar-meringues/#recipe-video I had a vague memory of pecan meringues from childhood family Christmas parties, so I wanted to try to recreate those this week. They turned out exactly like my memories! But I also wanted to try some classic meringue cookies and I’m so glad I did. These tasted like freeze dried brown sugar pop-tarts and my kids demolished them in a day. 🎉 EXPLORING — Why menus change and items disappear2h agoForeigners expect menus to be fixed. In Mexico, they’re **fluid**. What’s available today might be gone tomorrow. Not because of chaos — but because of **seasonality and supply**. Restaurants often cook based on: • What arrived that morning • What’s in season • What suppliers could actually deliver This is why: • A favorite dish suddenly vanishes • Menus are short • Servers say “no hay” without apology It’s not bad service. It’s **real-time adjustment**. Mexico’s food system is closer to a market than a factory. Freshness beats consistency. Once you expect menus to change, disappointment turns into understanding — and better meals. ... 10 Best Android App Development Companies You Can Hire in 20262h agoAndroid continues to dominate the global mobile operating system market, making it a powerful platform for startups, enterprises, and fast-scaling businesses alike. Not the best way to describe it, but that's the gist2h agoBasically, in my worldbuilding projects, Beastkins are a natural race that has a culture around respecting nature because I always assumed Beastkins originated from Slavic folktales of talking animals, which embodied parts of nature. In Mythica Earth, Beastkins or Turra'Varrans were the original natives of Rus before any humans arrived. They had a culture centered on nature, like many cultures, and when Slavs arrived, Beastkin became the origin for many tales, like the Leshy. In Latoria, Beastkins were the original natives of the continent of Autonomia and were a mostly tribal people whose culture was centered on spirits and the value of life. They believed everything had a spirit f... How on Earth do I build a grad app with no mention of my ED...2h agoHi everyone! I am currently a junior in my undergraduate degree in dietetics. I have an interesting past. I was at Michigan State University for my undergraduate degree in Human Biology beginning in 2019. I thought I maybe wanted to be a doctor. I knew that I just wanted to serve people, and I absolutely loved all things science, but no job I was discovering/looking into felt like the right fit. Fast forward and BOOM pandemic. We all lived it, so I won't say much else other than it felt harder to engage with my coursework, peers, and overall just have more job shadowing/volunteer experiences. Things finally began to look up, and then, devastatingly, a mass shooting occurred on my campu... The Possessed (what I know )2h agoThey expect loyalty despite abuse.im over it not happening.
