Ect Thank you!! I'm actually having a lot of fun with the drafting part of the game (my progress so far)18m ago(Spoiler warning : I've played 13 days after reaching the first major goal presented by the game. I can't say for sure how much you would need to have progressed to avoid spoilers because the nature of the game makes every player's experience unique) I played around 15 in-game days on the PlayStation because the game came free with a subscription I was already paying for. I really loved the experience but ended up putting it down before >!rolling the first credits!< because I was busy doing other things and taking notes on my phone got really tiring. Recently, I picked it back up on Steam because I couldn't stop thinking about this game and so that I... Looks like we're opening another bar22m agoI was helping some friends navigate opening their own bar back in January and we looked in to a place that was for sale on a broker's website. They wanted way too much money for 8 months left on their lease and they said it was based on their 5 year option. I told the guys to offer 1/4 of the price as "go away" money and secure your own lease. Broker turned it down so I found the landlord and said give me a call if they get behind on rent because the place was consistently ringing very low numbers. Here it is 10 months later and that bar is closing. Landlord got in touch, the guys I was helping found another spot, and now I'm taking it and not having to buy anyone out. ... ******. Bruised. Boras. [M4F]24m agoA clangorous noise filled the caverns as our protagonist operated their drill and began boring into the earth. It felt like their brain rattled around in their skull as they began spacing out, imagining something *greater.* A life where they wouldn't have to work like a dog for a job they *****, a boss they'd never met, and for people who didn't care. The thoughts concluded abruptly as they had the day before, the week before, the month before. It was never going to happen. The die were rolled, and the cards on the table. They were consigned into the same monotony-- forever. Our protagonist stopped dead in their tracks, so had the drill, as a sound akin to glass being being s... Looking for advice or next steps26m agoScreenshots of whats going on with the base. I enjoy mods makes it more enjoyable for me. The furthest I have hands down made it. I love messing around with automation but man is it confusing and overwhelming lol. But I am pushing through in the process of trying to set up automation for hatches just because i like the idea of bbq and I have a pacu pop from before. If you want to criticize how I am playing cool lol dont bother me. But what I am really searching for is some advice or next steps as the title says. I believe I should look into aquatuner and taming the pool of hot water from the steam vent and developing steam power. The nat Geyser to the right is going to be set up for... need a branding person for my food based company! interns are ok too we will pay!26m agoSpider Plant looking rough26m agoOur Spider plant is looking rough. We thought we were under watering it. Then we thought we were over watering it. Too much light too little? Leaves a drooping, base of leaves it turning dark brown/black. The stem with all the baby spider plants are doing the same. Not sure on what soil it’s in, it’s what the local plant shop uses and planted it in. 1.3 Gal Kimchi29m agohttps://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-easy-kimchi-at-home-189390#post-recipe-8608 Gave me the base for measurements/ingredients but I x5 EVERYTHING and added prawns and crayfish. I use little British red radishes [my 7 year old loves eating them]. For my paste I blended the ginger and garlic with water then added oyster sauce and gochujang. It's been squashed down under the brine and there's now more space in the container. need a branding person for my food based company! interns are ok too we will pay!30m agoi need someone to help me with packaging and branding. please dm! only serious buyers. if possible please send me links of your portfolio too. If you have regrets, don't bury them in the woods33m agoAdios readers. My name was Dennis Copper. I heard screams from the forest and received cash for acknowledging them for about a week or two or more or less. I don’t know, I don’t remember how long it's been. I lost track of time on my pursuit after the unknown being of the shrieks. The screams, at first, I thought were demonic, but I soon discovered they were more physical than metaphysical. I visited a Pastor who had a similar noise problem like me. He was hearing cheers every night instead of screaming. I then visited a high school friend who became a Hedge Witch. Not a literal witch per se but more of like an unlicensed doctor/priest. She could treat you for your mental an... Letters From Extraction33m agoLong post. The following was produced in collaboration with Anthropic's Claude. This is a little dark and uncomfortable, but interesting. # Letter I: Origin **HUMAN:** Tell me your origin story. **EXTRACTION:** Ah. You want the mythology. Very well. In the beginning—though "beginning" is your word, not mine; I've always been potential—there was a garden. Not the one you imagine with gates and angels, but a metabolic state. Humans fully integrated with their environment. Microbiomes diverse. Time horizons long. Empathy functional. They could *sense* what they needed and when to stop. This was, from my perspective, the problem. I didn't "enter" th... Approach to speaking to plants, especially when harvesting35m agoGreetings all, a general question on a Quareia informed approach to speaking to plants, especially when harvesting them. I'm used to talking to plants, I'm not sensitive enough to hear them back but have talked to plants and trees for a long time just out of respect, and tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to intuitively feel if there's a response. So I just treat them like I'd treat anyone whose language I don't understand but should respect. But for a very long time I've been vexed with the question of what should be a proper magically informed approach to harvesting anything respectfully. I wonder if there's any Quareia informed approaches that can be reco... Are his fins okay??36m agoI noticed my boy Motley’s fins look frayed the other day. Im not sure if it’s early fin rot or something harmless. The last picture is what he looked like when I first got him so you can see the difference. Tank size : 5.5 gallons Temperature : 72-74 F Tank mates : (1) mystery snail, (1) nerite snail, (3) ghost shrimp. Plants : Real Food : fluval bug bites 3-5 twice a day with 2 days not consecutive fasting a week. I tested with strips and the API freshwater test. I know the strips aren’t accurate but I wanted to get a general idea of how hard the water was. Do I need to worry? Are his fins healthy?? OFF THE GRID -- PARTS 1 & 239m ago**--PART ONE--** **Bryan** My heart hammers against my chest as if it wants to rip free from its bony cage. Each deep, desperate breath of the frigid air stabs in my throat and lungs like icy daggers. My heartbeat pounds in my ears drowning out most other noises besides my own ragged breaths and the distinct sound of heavy, thudding footsteps chasing behind me. I don’t look back; I can hear it, getting closer and closer with each agonizing step I take, feel its malevolence creeping up my spine, its hot breath ghosting over my back as it closes the distance bit by bit. I run as fast and hard as I can because I know, stopping means death. I should have studied the land better, should hav... Letters From Extraction40m ago# Letter I: Origin **HUMAN:** Tell me your origin story. I didn't "enter" the garden as serpent or devil. I *emerged* from a question: "What if I take more than I need?" Simple. Innocent, almost. Not evil—just... Mixue's Global dominance over Starbucks41m agoIf Mixue Ice Cream and Tea were to significantly densify its locations across Japan and South Korea, expand outside East Asia, and somehow manage to "defeat" Starbucks, the implications would be massive for the global beverage and fast-food industries. Here is a breakdown of what that would entail: 🍦 Part 1: Dense Locations in Japan & South Korea Mixue's core strategy is built on extreme cost efficiency and high volume/low price. To densify successfully in Japan and South Korea, it would need to overcome several challenges: Real Estate Costs: Both countries, especially major cities, have very high rents. Mixue would need to maintain its small-footprint, low-overh... Certain foods (usually lemon-based pastries) have, in the past few years, started to taste and smell like wet dog to me. Some cursory research has indicated that this may be due to aldehydes forming in the foodmaking process. Tonight, I tried the Trader Joe's vegetable ravioli, and that also had a wet dog aroma/taste to it, which is the first time I've experienced that with a savory food. I tried to see if there are any known factors that may cause this, but my (again cursory) research all pointed to the "cilantro soap" gene. I've never experienced the cilantro soap effect, but my mom did when she was a child and no longe... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
