[Bangalore Cafe](https://www.bangalorecafe.sg/) in Little India has the answer, serving up freshly prepared meals that are ideal for a quick lunch or a quick stop. When you look you will hear the same generic statements and guidelines for feeding any other fish such as use a variety of veggie flakes and then real veggies. This led me to doing extensive research on mbuna diet, digestion times and the best foods and i would just like to share some of my findings while also asking if anyone knows more to help me adjust and perfect my rotation of foods. I am obviously just going based off the foods i have tried myself and would like to note my bias that as a pet owner i have always been a check the label kinda guy so i stopped buying brands in which most their fo... I love hitting clearance section1h agoI got all of these for 75% off 😄 Cold Brew Concentrate $2.24 Pho packet $1.74 Pad Thai packet $1.74 What new (to me) cheese should I try?1h agoMy family members are not exactly adventurous when it comes to food. They like cheddar, mozz, provolone etc. feta, blue, and even recipes with ricotta took a while but they've gotten a lot better. I love making the occasional charcuterie board for dinner and usually include Colby Jack, horseradish white cheddar, and a wild card. What should I hit them with this weekend? Didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I have1h agoMy son picked this book up for me a little while back because he knows I’m a bit of a prepping nerd. Nothing extreme but I do like having shelves stocked and knowing we’d be okay if the power went out for a while. I honestly thought it would just be another survival style cookbook but it’s not. Every recipe is built around food that lasts months or even years without refrigeration, and each one comes with the story behind it. It’s half cookbook, half history lesson. Basically how people fed themselves before fridges, supermarkets, or Amazon deliveries were a thing. I’ve been slowly working my way through it. Some of the recipes are definitely different from what we’re used to, ... Eating dirt???1h agoI have 2 big brown girls— both healthy, happy, no major issues (no jinxes!) But in the last 2 weeks, my 4.5yo has been actively eating dirt?? She’s making a mess with the house plants, grazing the courtyard garden, and munching grass and soil on walks. WHYYYY? Nothing has changed with food, supplements, or routine. But she’s eating enough that I can see it significantly in her poop. Also the indoor houseplant mess is driving me crazy. I know that it can be due to anxiety or diet. But it’s just confusing since everything is the same as it’s always been. Any thoughts??? Home made corn tortilla favourite things to make with them1h agoBest thing since diagnosed with Celiac disease! I found a tortilla press in the op shop and bought masa harina (actually masa lista) and watched a million you tube clips and yesterday I made my first corn tortillas and they even puffed up a bit. (Australian here, so not very used to Mexican and Central American food). Now I am feeling more confident I am thinking about all the things I can make with them and keen to ask other people who make them what gluten free recipes you use them for. Especially things I can use for bulk cooking. Thanks. From a failed app to 60+ edge functions: Building ForageFix, a next-gen recipe app1h ago\# The Story About a year ago, I was working on a project called \*\*Slay Space\*\* - an ambitious idea that ultimately didn't work out. But buried in that project was a feature I couldn't stop thinking about: a smarter way to cook with what you already have. I've always felt like recipe apps were stuck in the past. You search for "chicken recipes" and get 10,000 results - none of which account for what's actually in your fridge. Meanwhile, food waste is a $400 billion problem. So I built \*\*ForageFix\*\* - a recipe app designed around real life, not fantasy kitchens. \--- \# What Makes It Different \## 📷 Multi-Photo Ingredient Scanning Most apps let ... I have been writing a compendium of Malaysian food for 5 years1h agoHi all, I’ve been lurking and modding this subreddit since we were just a tiny group of 300 people, and seeing us grow to this size has been wild. I’m posting today to promote a website that I created 5 years ago. It started because of a personal grudge with Netflix I had during the pandemic. Not sure if you guys remember that Street Food: Asia documentary on Netflix? Almost every one of our neighbors got a spotlight, but Malaysia was completely left out. It felt like a big slap in the face for us Malaysians. It made me realize that if we don’t document and promote our own food stories, the rest of the world is just going to keep overlooking us. So, I started a website called [**ikan... Why have I never seen anyone else set up their camp in an electrical tower?1h agoIt’s like, the perfect base. You have the tower house and then room under it for plants, collectors and your allies living quarters. 2 weeks with a 4.5 month old. Too ambitious?1h agoHi all, We are a family of 3 Canadians who are now tired and sick of our winter that looks like it’s going to last 84 years. We are thinking of visiting Southern Spain in the February end/beginning of March for 2 weeks. We are looking at it being a relaxed vacation scheduled around our baby’s nap times and wake windows and have a few questions: 1) our itinerary would look like — arrive in Madrid >> train to Seville >> train to Malaga >> back in Madrid ->> fly back home. How does it sound? We have 2 weeks — what can we add/remove? 2) how do we find the closest nursing/changing rooms for the baby? Is there an app that people u... My Local Charity Put Something Alive Inside Me1h agoI’m making this post because I can't sleep, or eat, or do anything in my day to day life anymore. I have tremors in my hands, a constant taste of pennies in the back of my throat, and a scar on my ribcage that opens when I press it. I’m writing it down because the second I stop thinking about it, it forces me to remember it with everything I do. I got the job because I needed the money. That’s it. I was broke, my lease was up, and I couldn't keep digging through my couch for loose change to try and eat everyday. My cousin knew a guy who knew a guy who managed a place called Briar Hollow Outreach. It sounded like a church but with better branding. They did “community suppo... Chicken Korma Recommendations1h agoHey all! So I really love to cook and I have recently wanted to start adding more Indian dishes to my repertoire. One of my favorite dishes is a good Chicken korma. Specifically, one of the local Indian restaurants does a phenomenal job cooking the dish, describing it as the following: *"Aromatic cashew-based sauce with a touch of cream & golden raisins"* That being said, I was wondering if anyone had any suggested recipes or tips for making a delicious rich, spiced korma sauce that can be used for chicken or other dishes. [This one](https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/chicken-korma-recipe/) seems to be decent but looking for thoughts from the experts themselves! The Pale White “Absolute Cinema” Intimate Objects of the 21st Century (03-27-2026)1h agoCinema as a near-religious obsession, where watching films becomes a ritualistic escape from reality and physical discomfort. By referencing iconic directors and unforgettable movie moments, the song celebrates shared film culture as a kind of modern mythology. At the same time, it gently satirizes binge-watching and choice paralysis, showing cinema as both comforting and consuming. It’s “a love letter to the big screen. When we were kids in the mid-2000s, ‘going to the pictures’ with a tenner would get you your film ticket, fast food, and the bus fare home. Packed to the rafters with film heads who had eagerly anticipated that week’s new release, you’d take in every second... (To be clear, I don’t do all this food prep all the time but always have one of these in fridge or freezer. It really alleviates some of the stress I might otherwise feel at an unexpected reaction…): Here’s what I keep around to either navigate eating gluten-free everyday or handle getting glutened: gf pasta, cereal, ginger tea, veggie & chicken bouillion, probiotic soda (more helpful prob when not having a reaction), started keeping a kombucha in fridge, yogurt (always plain, sometimes stock flavored, too), eggs. Things I keep in mind with this list is healthy, easy to make, easily-digestable, and just something i enj... Stressed Yoyo loach?2h agoHi guys, I really need some advice I have a yoyo loach that suddenly stopped eating on sunday, she has rapid breathing general lethargy no appetite She has one other loach with her ive had them both for 3 years and no issues until now. I believe they have been fighting each other id see them body each other and go super pale afterwards Shes a proper quirky loach constantly moving stealing all the food and plants and doing laps of the tank so this isnt normal at all. Once she stopped eating I tested the water and everything was normal Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate:0 PH- 7.5 KH-5 GH- 10 I separated them both to see if that made any difference. It hasn't. Its now Tuesday going on wednesd... Korean soups - is there any equivalent shortcuts like miso, dashi, tsuyu for Japanese soups?2h agoWant to make more Korean food but I don’t have the patience/kitchen storage space to buy beef bones and boil my own stock. Are there any products (similar to Japanese miso, dashi, tsuyu) where you can just add it to water and have a decent soup base? I really like seollongtang, gomtang, recently tried kalgusku as well. I already have bought the spicy tofu soup packs, looking for stuff like that but haven’t found good products for the bone broth type soups, aside from the fully prepared packets that you can heat up and eat directly. I’m wondering if there’s like a powder or paste version instead. Also, any tips for cooking radish in soups without it being bitter? Is there a spec... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
