Hot sauce

5h ago

I am not entrepreneurially inclined, have an established career that's very far from the food industry, and I most certainly do not need a startup. Mostly posting this because of what I felt was a semi-surreal conversation with friends. A few years ago I came up with a recipe for a hot sauce. I make it at home and it is like nothing I've ever been able to find in stores. Today someone with a serious appreciation and knowledge of hot sauces tried it and stated that this was unique and they'd certainly seek something like this in stores. I doubt this was politeness. This quickly developed into brand development brainstorming and after a few Gemini prompts we got pretty hilarious...

Website down across multiple devices

Anyone else had the same problem with coles website? error page appears everytime I try to browse something, been happening for the past few months, seems to fix after cache and history clear, but breaks right after 1 click Haven't tested in public computers but considering this has been ongoing for months for me, I'm guessing it's only happening to me?

PCOS and autism time for a lifestyle change. Food is hard

5h ago

A couple years ago I read Women and Girls with autism spectrum disorder by Sarah Hendrickx. The first edition I found it on Libby. PCOS was mentioned in chapter 14 Health and well-being under menstruation. When I first read that I was like hey I have PCOS. In 2024 when the 2nd edition came out Women and Girls on the autism spectrum it mentioned PCOS again in the summary between menopause and hyper mobility/ehlers danlos. I would cite the chapter, but my copy is an audiobook. Anyway all that to say PCOS and autism are often co-occuring. Certainly for me. So PCOS just became PMOS. This happened like two days before I went to my Doctor. This was a follow up for high triglycerides. Dyslipide...

Idea for an operator: Vladrss. Let me know what you think

5h ago

I just had this idea and it doesn't seem bad, but I'd like to get your feedback. I really like thinking about and imagining operators; it reminds me of the old days when I was a nerd for this game. Nationality: Russia (Novosibirsk, Siberia) Height: 178cm Age: 37 years old Brief story: Vlad was born in Novosibirsk, but his parents moved to the mountains when he was 5 to escape the frenzy of the city. There, Vlad went to school, dedicating his free time to gardening, cutting down trees, and studying history and the arts. His mother was a very important figure to him since his father was often absent and violent. At 17, Vlad's father came home late at night after drinking too...

Pokopia Research - Cloud Islands

5h ago

First in the style of a series of sorts involving info regarding specific parts of Pokopia and it's mechanics, based on personal experience and research from the last 2+ months. I had intended for this to all be one big list for reference, but turns out it ends up being more than 5 times the character limit, so thought I'd post it in relevant, more compact chunks instead (which also makes it easier to update if needed). Apologies if it's a bit of a text wall, as Reddit *really* doesn't like more than 2 layers for lists, I tried to format it to be as reader-friendly as I could make it. If you have any other info that's relevant, please do let me know. Today'...

UK owners food mix suggestions

5h ago

Hi, Can UK based owners share their hamsters diet! My male syrian likes red pepper, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to give him that daily. What veggies are safe for him to eat daily? What food mix is considered best? I know this seems to be quite controversial with people making tier lists of which to avoid, which seems to be all the ones in pet shops. He hasn't been interested in mealworms and won't eat them, but most suggested 'safe' mixes I've seen online have those in. Feel a bit stuck. What are these protein lab blocks people talk about? I've seen people suggest needing Whimzees blocks for their teeth too, is that okay? Mine doesn't chew o...

My current lineup of commanders I will typically pull out as of this year.

5h ago

Ive been playing for over a year and a half and have made more decks than this, but in the last four and a half months these are the decks I have found myself most gravitated towards. Shiko and Narset is just the base precon, usually keep this on hand in case the pod wants some lower power. Nothing special here. Urza, Lord Protector is an artifact deck, and I believe I have only successfully melded him in games maybe twice, and not for a lack of trying. Definitely not the strongest deck out there, but he has his moments in the sun. I think the few games he has won has been via upsets through resolving \[\[Cyberdrive Awakener\]\]. Eluge is my most recent deck I have made, and he is a brac...

[MF] I started this as a first chapter, then I hit a brick wall. Can this stand as a short story?

5h ago

**Four Seconds in April** Kevin had been sitting in his car, in the parking lot, long enough for it to become a place. Not a car anymore, but a small, beige, depreciating room with vents that rattled, old coffee stains and candy wrappers huddled in the cupholder, and one middle-aged man slowly converting oxygen into regret. The place was getting hot again. The engine was on and the air conditioning was fighting hard to stay useful. Sweat had gathered under his chest, behind his ears, and at the backs of his knees, which seemed unnecessary, and he sat with his eyes closed, head back, letting the part of him that wanted to go inside argue with the part that already knew the route to Portillo...

Volume 9 Extra: Our Former Selves

**1. Shrimp Tempura (Sendai PoV)** The thing I loved was my older sister. She wasn’t an object, of course, but she had always been my number one. But now that I was in my second year of middle school— “Onee-chan.” I gathered a reasonable amount of courage before speaking. Mom was in the living room—someone I would rather not have there—but she didn’t look at me. Still, my sister, who came out of the kitchen holding a glass of barley tea, did look at me. “What is it, Hazuki?” Her voice was neither soft nor harsh. Mom didn’t move. It was uncomfortable. The moment I spoke, the air in the living room turned cold. Maybe it was because Mom refu...

Parkinson’s Specialist Dr. Paresh Doshi Shares Tips for Managing Constipation in Parkinson’s Disease

5h ago

Constipation is a very common non-motor symptom in Parkinson’s Disease, but many patients and caregivers don’t realize how much it can affect daily life and even medication response. Dr. Paresh Doshi explains that constipation in Parkinson’s often happens because the digestive system slows down due to changes in the nervous system. Looking for a truly authentic Mexican cookbook (gift idea)

6h ago

Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a really authentic Mexican cookbook. I’m first-generation Mexican, so I already grew up with traditional recipes, but my boyfriend is Puerto Rican and loves Mexican food. I want to gift him a cookbook that feels as *authentic and true to Mexican cooking as possible* not Tex-Mex or overly Americanized. Something that really captures regional dishes, traditional techniques, and real flavors. I’m open to books in English or Spanish, and bonus points if it’s a beautiful gift too. What would you recommend?

eating problems, tension, emotional affair

6h ago

Ever since about the beginning of March or maybe the end of February. I've been struggling eating only about 800 to 1,200 calories a day. Or usually I might skip days entirely. So today I had about 1,300 calories or so. To me it feels like I've been binging and I feel like I've lost track of myself. And I'm trying to lose weight but at the same time food feels wrong a lot lately. Tomorrow I'm probably not going to have anything. Typically I'll put food off for as long as I can. I've recently switched back to being vegan/vegetarian. I have meat sometimes but not all the time. Barely less than once a week maybe. I used to be vegan for about 10 years. More so ...

HOT TAKE: Super Late Model engines should be allowed in ARCA and Truck

6h ago

Currently in the trucks and ARCA series, the premier power plant is the ILMOR NT1 396. An LS based, fuel injected engine that is limited to around 550 horsepower. This made the racing far more equal across the trucks and ARCA series but it came with unintended consequences. For 1, the NT1 is an expensive engine to buy new, last I heard at over 60,000 dollars and is usually good for 15 races before needing a rebuild. To also ensure competition was fair when it entered the ARCA series in 2014, the legacy 358s were excessively capped and rendered impossible to compete against the ILMORs. ARCA has a secondary option with the Roush Yates spec engine that has been proven to be strong but also ...

Translation: A Chinese player's opinion of the current state of EU5 mechanics

6h ago

**TL;DR:** 1. EU5 shouldn't try to break up more empires – rather, it needs to organically create more empires. 2. EU5 doesn't have too few mechanics, but too many meaningless ones. 3. EU5 has too much technical debt from EU4 that conflicts with the new mechanics from Tinto's EU5. I.e., there's often a mechanic from EU4 and an original that overlap and conflict. Best Vegetable Seed Kits for Hydroponic Growing (Beginner-Friendly Guide)

6h ago

I’ve been getting into hydroponics recently and one thing I didn’t expect to matter so much was seed selection. I assumed any vegetable seed works, but in reality, some kits just perform way better in water-based systems in terms of germination speed, consistency, and overall plant health. From what I’ve seen, the best hydroponic seed kits usually focus on leafy greens and fast-growing vegetables, since they adapt really well to nutrient solution systems and don’t need heavy pollination or deep root structures. Some commonly recommended options include: * Lettuce varieties (butterhead, romaine, oakleaf) * Spinach and kale * Arugula and microgreens * Basil, cilantro, and other herb...

New Friends

6h ago

Hi everyone, I'm Natalie and will be in Chandigarh for 1 month starting today. I'm here specifically to join an exercise program as after breaking 2 toes recently I realised how unfit I am and am determined to change that. I have an interest in: \- books - observational drawing - urban decay and dilapidation - understanding people and cultures - raw vegan food and plant based food - good coffee - live music including Bhajan and anything chill/relaxing/healing/introspective - diorama building - self-reflection And many other things that escape me at this moment. I'm 37 and looking for new friends. I get along with all age ranges so it doesn't matter to me if you...
