Epic Universe is amazing! (Trip report) [Stardust Racers][Epic Universe]

1h ago

We had one of our best theme park days at Epic this Friday. It was the first visit and I planned to hit the park early with our early admission (we're staying in the Stella Nova and Universal for three days) and then leave during the peak to another universal park and return in the evening when the crowds usually die down. However, we managed to do all of Nintendo World just during the early admission and then we did everything besides Curse of the Werewolf with some rerides and all the shows (even dining in the Blue Dragon and going to the hotel for check-in and a brief respite of about 2 hours). All that even while the park was slammed, the queue of Minecart madness ...

Day 1 afternoon (post-lunch → evening/night) 2. Day 2 afternoon (post-lunch → \~6 PM before heading to airport) Looking for budget-friendly suggestions to fill these slots — ideally a mix of: • Chill experiences ...

Why does my food always taste bland?

1h ago

Ive been cooking more at home recently, but my food tends to turn out bland no matter what recipe I follow. I do add salt and some basic seasonings, but it still feels like something's missing. Is this normal?

Nutellamaxxing 😤🌰🍫

Anyone else tried the new vegan Nutella?? Tastes like childhood!!! I made some protein “Nutella” oat balls to eat with it and am having this cocoa hazelnut milk in my iced coffee 😋😋 Cocoa hazelnut proat balls recipe\*: \*I don’t actually use recipes, but here’s a list of ingredients in an approximate order of amount high to low \- oats \- soy flakes, chopped \- hazelnut flour, roasted for added aroma 😌👌🏻 \- Lidl’s hazelnut flavoured High Protein Loops, chopped (crushed probs would’ve been better) \- cocoa powder \- Lidl’s hazelnut cocoa drink \- syrup (I make my own low GI one with date syrup, sucralose\*\* & vanilla flavouring dissolved in boi...

A Few Things I've Learned

1h ago

My boss told me don't complain, just figure it out and fix it, and and then share with the broader group. So here I go but focusing on Crimson Desert instead of work (killing some time before breakfast): I am on Chapter 9 currently. \~Assuming everyone reading already understands that in order to solve a lot of puzzles you will need to unlock certain core abilities, I thought I'd share a few things\~ \- You can bring Damaine / Oongka with you by using the summoning function. They don't do much in battle but they will do a little and can distract a few enemies. You can't bring them for everything like MSQs, but It can be fun to bring them with while you expl...

Recipes that don’t have milk/egg/butter/cheese substitutes or nuts?

1h ago

I’d like to learn more vegan recipes, but they all have nuts in them or they use some replica of animal products. I can’t buy the fake milk, eggs, and whatever where I live and I can’t afford nuts in high amounts like that

UCPA Tignes review

1h ago

UCPA Tignes Review (Val Claret) – April Trip Before going, I couldn’t find many Reddit reviews about going to UCPA Tignes, so now I’m back I thought I’d write one. I’ve just returned from a week in Tignes, France. I went with one other person who had used UCPA before and couldn’t praise it enough. It was a fairly last-minute trip—we only booked about 6 weeks in advance. We chose Tignes because it’s high altitude and near the end of the season, so snow was pretty much guaranteed. Booking & What’s Included The website was straightforward to use, but all lessons (full-time and half-time) were already booked up. So if lessons are important to you, definitely book ea...

Is anyone here actually using the Black Primer>Waagh! Flesh>Warpstone Glow color recipe?

1h ago

Hi fellow Salamander enjoyers! I am a beginner painter and recently got back into the hobby after a long break. So far I’ve only painted one squad of aggressors and while they took me forever to paint I was quite pleased with the result for my first attempt. After getting back into the hobby however I just cannot get over the time it takes me to finish the green armor of my salamanders (especially considering the big pile of shame I’ve been amassing during the painting break). I am using the recommended color recipe of black primer -> Waaagh Flesh base -> Warpstone Glow layer and I need at least two thin coats of both greens to get anything close to decent coverage. So my...

Questions about zoology!

1h ago

I’ve wanted to work in zoology for a while and I’m really intreated in doing so but I’d like to get some word from people who work in it rather than just Google! I want to work in feild reasearch and natural history 1. how long are you living out in the field I’ve seen people say 3 months, 6 months, and so on and where do you stay during that time, tents, hotels? 2. I have seen diffent amounts of payment but I usually see from 150,00-200,000 USD is that true or do only the higher ups get that much 3. I’m a vegan, will that affect my work? how are you supplied food if you are working far out in nature. 4. do you have a house, or do you just live where work takes...

Cooking like our ancestors for fun and learning a lot

1h ago

I started cooking through this old school cookbook mostly out of curiosity and ended up learning way more than I expected. Shoutout to whoever posted about it here a few months back, I couldn't find your post but I appreciate you for putting me on to something awesome. Every recipe is based around food that lasts without refrigeration, and each one includes a bit of history about where it came from and why it existed. It’s basically how people fed themselves when grocery stores, fridges, and constant resupply weren’t a thing. I’ve been trying a couple recipes a week just for fun. Some are pretty unusual by today’s standards, but it’s fascinating to see how much thought went ...

Anyone making homemade dry shampoo?

2h ago

TL;DR: Do you have a spray bottle you recommend? Details: I have been on a dry shampoo \*journey\*. the store bought ones worked but I felt like they had a lot of build up and I needed a ton of it, so I started using rice starch and putting it straight on my hair. That worked pretty great in a lot of ways, but the white cast was a bit too much and it is hard to get it all the way down to my roots. So I have recently started trying out a homemade dry shampoo using water, vodka, and rice starch that I spray on. Oh my god I love it! It's a little wet, so I need to be careful so I don't end up with super limp hair, so I've been trying to find the right spray bottle that wi...

RFC: What if AI agent workflows were just Markdown files?

2h ago

I've been building AI agents for the past year and kept running into the same problem: I'd figure out a great multi-step workflow (research → summarize → review → send), but it lived in my head or buried in chat history. No way to share it with someone else, version it, or guarantee it runs the same way next time. Existing solutions are either too heavy (Airflow, Temporal) or too rigid (Zapier, IFTTT). And custom DSLs or YAML-based formats have a fundamental problem: LLMs can't reliably generate them because they're not in the training data. I'm proposing **Recipe** — a Markdown-based spec for describing shareable, executable agent workflows. Here&#...

Tips for transitioning

2h ago

Hi all! I’m a 39yo female who is gluten free. I’ve been thinking about transitioning to a vegan diet for some time. I currently do CrossFit and run. I’m looking to also drop around 20lbs . What is your best tips for transitioning, staying in a A deficit, and getting the best use out of your meals. I’m a super simple food girl. I’m not really into Ike cassaroles or things like that. Normal meals are lots of fruits and veggies, gf bread, rice, or potatoes, and a protein source. I do also eat oatmeal occasionally .

Why implement a useless Ship Inventory?

2h ago

Sup, Back after 2 years of trying to find a new passion for this game, and a couple of hours in, I realize that there is no more "open" Ship Inventory. Turns out you have to access it via the lockers - for the sake of "realism", as if that wasn't hilarious enough already. Our group loved to use the Carrack as a flying base to respawn and re-gear, get right back into the action, restock on food etc... And now? The locker to access the ship inventory is on the 2nd floor, hidden behind super small doors that cannot be reached with cargo boxes to properly fill them up, without making it a lifetime task? What the **** is wrong with these terrible terrible terrible game...

Liquid egg yolks

Has anyone tried the liquid egg yolks from Gordon Food Service? If so, do they act any differently than hand-separated egg yolks in your ice cream recipes?

Napoleon's BEAN SALAD

2h ago

**Napoleon Bonaparte**’s diet was characterized by simplicity, speed, and irregularity, often eating plain foods like roast chicken, lentils, and potatoes within 15–20 minutes to save time. He preferred simple, hot, "peasant-style" food over complex cuisine, frequently skipping meals and relying on diluted Chambertin wine. Among other things, he loved potatoes, lentils, beans, and white bread.

I used the same base recipe of ground lamb with seven spices and onions to make two dishes: [stuffed eggplant in garlic yoghurt sauce](https://www.omayahcooks.com/blog/2019/7/14/fried-stuffed-eggplants-in-yogurt-sauce-sheikh-mshatah?rq=eggplant) and [stewed spinach with ground meat and rice. ](https://www.omayahcooks.com/blog/sabanekh?rq=spinach)
