I also have food that I can feed them. Monster World! Sort of...?19m agoSo, I'm new to reddit however I've always been an avid fan of concept design be it environmental or otherwise... and I thought I would share a recent idea I've had following inspiration from games like Monster Hunter. Here's some context. Each monster is sorted into 3 types of classifications. Kinesis(Elemental Power), Class(Size), and Caliber(Danger Level). Kinesis is the monster's ability to manipulate (or create) certain elements. There are two types of this power currently. Natural Kinesis, like the name suggests, comes from natural elements. Water, Fire, Earth, Air/Wind... labelled Pura, Agnes, Tera and Neuma respectively (much cooler names, I'd say.... Make an assumption about me based on my food that I make23m ago6 reasons Private Equity annoys me: A short rant.24m agoDo you remember *The Number 23*? It’s a 2007 psychological thriller, starring Jim Carrey. In it, the protagonist, played by Carrey, becomes increasingly obsessed with the 23 enigma, noticing the number, or patterns connected to the number, everywhere in his life. The digits of his birthday add up to 23. Assigning numbers to the letters of his name equals 23. Soon he begins breaking down license plates, prices on menus, and phone numbers, rearranging them until they add up to the number 23, all while falling deeper into paranoia based on this so-called “evidence.” I don’t really remember much of the plot beyond the obsession with the number 23. Even so, lately, I’ve been feeling m... Trading base garama for la romantic recipe25m agoWhy is my trash bill going up?25m ago**Why is my trash bill going up?** **The breakdown of Long Beach’s shift from "Thermal" to "Biological" waste management.** If you’ve noticed your refuse rates climbing (specifically the adjustments in May and August 2025), it isn't just inflation. I was wondering the same thing so I dug and did some research and wrote a breakdown of the city's waste transition, *The Afterlife of Trash*, and it details exactly why the economics of picking up our garbage have fundamentally broken. (read the full article at longbeachtransparent.substack.com) Here is the data-driven answer to why the bill is going up: **1. We stopped selling electricity (The SERRF Closu... Forgotten beast got caught in its own vapors after fighting a troglodyte25m agoCaused it to fall asleep and start rotting right before reaching my staircase. It doesn't seem lethal since its been laying there for about two in game months. Is AKC the preferred provider now?26m agoI have two cats. I started them with Embrace when I adopted them as kittens. That was 4 years ago, almost 5. They are both female Manx mixes. One has half a tail and the other a bunny tail and weak back legs (indicative of possible nerve/spine weakness), which is genetic. One has a urinary stress condition that we've had treated twice. One is very overweight despite carefully controlling food access. I'm not aware of any other pre-existing conditions. I'm looking to leave Embrace for a better company not owned by private equity. My employer has Nationwide discount. I'm a Costco and USAA member. I'm thinking to just get AKC based on information about pre-existing c... Some questions from a couple of brits heading your way v soon!26m agohello!! we were lucky enough to win a competition for a san antonio adventure and will be coming over from the uk later this month!! we’ve been heavy researching for the past 6 months or so but are hoping for some advice from real life people on a few remaining bits: \- any good spots for veggie/vegan food? i appreciate that it’s v heavy on the bbq and brisket (carnivore boyf is absolutely buzzing) - I’ll be v happy to live off sides and salads while we’re there but if there are any plant based goodies that would be lovely. searched the sub and there’s not really anything recent \- neither of us drive so we’ll be relying on uber to get anywhere that’s not walkable (which we... Kitchen Appliances Be Gone26m agoHas anyone purged a significant amount of kitchen appliances? I'm about to part with three tomorrow, one is very large. I've been a vegan and have eaten mostly raw food throughout my adulthood, lots of fruit and massive salads. I worked as a private raw vegan chef in my late-20's and early 30's. During that time I began to accumulate, dun dun dun(!): THE APPLIANCES. My good friend gave me my commercial Vitamix that she salvaged from a closing restaurant, saving me hundreds of dollars. I got a 5-tray Excalibur dehydrator and eventually swapped for a 9-tray. I got the most amazing masticating slow juicer with all metal twin gears about 20 years ago. They don't eve... High protein waffles28m agoMade these this morning and they are fire. 67g of protein and 7g of fat for 464cals is insane. I topped mine with sugar free caramel syrup and some salt and they slapped. These can also be prepped, frozen and put in the toaster whenever you want them so super convenient and fantastic flavour. Will be making this staple for my daily breaky. My indoor cat of six years has been missing for four days, I've tried to look everywhere and I'm not sure what...30m agoMy cat, minti, who will turn six this year, **usually likes to go to the rooftop** which i used to take her to, to roll over on concrete (I've let her do this unsupervised a lot too since she always comes back after a few hours so I'm also wondering if she's been slowly exploring new places even though she's afraid of the outside). After she got habituated in my apartment's rooftop (I live on the second floor, it's a five story building), she used to sleep inside a small space in the rooftop few times but ***she's strictly an indoor cat.*** After months or maybe a year, **she had somehow learned to go downstairs where at the back of my apartment there are... I'm looking for a book. I remember everything except the title. / Ищу книгу, помню все кроме ...31m agoI'm looking for a book, and Reddit is my last hope. I remember everything except the title. It had a blue, slightly silly cover. It was a story that a girl wrote in a book based on her grandmother's stories. The book was about a girl who boarded, if I'm not mistaken, a liner, some kind of huge ship that carried people. It crashed, and she found herself in the water, clinging to a piano. She managed to pull another little girl onto the piano, but then she fell into the water when the girl fell asleep. This girl was picked up by a German submarine and fed “rabbit bread” (bread with mold, there was nothing else). Then they left her on an island, giving her some food and a b... looking for a feel-good ***** story that's not a romance34m agobeen in a funk lately and want to read happier more wholesome books. no genre bar but I don't want a story that's primarily a romance. side plots are okay! a bonus would be stories that are based in college settings or maybe something related to food bc those are comfort themes for me. 100+++ for found family tropes. fantasy is good too. im looking for a story with ***** characters preferably but if not that's okay tooo!! sorry for being so vague I just REALLLY want to read something and have dnf-ed like 5 books already bc nothing is hitting 😭😭😭 pls helppp Suggestions for base improvement at this point?34m agoSo, first things first - my play style is a mix of efficiency and RP/aesthetics. I love the idea of fully automated farms and less workload, but I also want it to feel comfortable (for example, I've never looked into infinite food storage because the fridges work fine, and I hide my dying critters from my dupes because it feels bad to make them witness it haha). I'm just about to get a spom started with a cool steam vent above this screenshot, close to the surface. What I'm happy with so far: \- Pacu & hatch farms are fully automated (other than food supplying and grooming, don't have a brackene source yet) \- Drecko ranches are pretty self-sufficient...I have... AITAH for wanting to take my 17yo bf to live by ourselves without his mothers consent or knowledge?36m agoTW; mentions of abuse, and childhood sexual abuse im currently 18F, and i moved in with my now boyfriend across the country two days after i turned 18. i would consider myself abused, though i wouldnt consider my parents abusive really. they both grew up in the same culture, my father was beat and grew up near addicts and my mother grew up in a war-like state while violently sick and also, near addicts. my mother grew up in extreme poverty. her body wouldnt allow her to give birth, shes had 8 miscarriages before having me. she had to have extreme medical intervention and take a ton of medications to have me. she was on a heavy dose of fentynal at the time (for pain, i dont think she abused... Who would you like to vibe and hang out with from the Look Outside crew?37m agoThere's a lot but here is my top 10: 1. Morton - he can find the beauty in just about anything. Sure he is weird but that's what makes him interesting. I could drive that dude to an antique store and he would just talk for hours in poetry about seemingly old discarded things and sort of even makes you enthused as well. He kind of has a way of bringing you into his world. Seems he'd be easy to entertain too. 2. Sam - he seemed like he could get along with just about anybody as long as you don't threaten or try to hurt him. Seems laid back like he could kinda just talk about anything. Likes good food and games. 3. Helen- she loves plants and nature. She may be a massive ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
