Predictions for Mormons Becoming more Christianized

1h ago

I predict that as Mormons push harder to be mainstream Christians attendance will plummet more not go up. I'm sure they see data showing that membership goes up due to their christianizing. But I think that will level off and crash the image that mormons are better than everyone else. I see that the more you become Christian the more members will see the Bible, Coffee, Christian philosophy like the Trinity, Jesus and Apostles saying food does not defile you and people who tell you certain foods are bad are devils. Mingling with Christians who Mormons feel Mormonism has the same structure will learn that the Christian structure is much more successful than Mormonism. They will see peo...

I am Legally Sane…(Ch 1-3)

Chapter 1: The Other Side of the Floor Tick. Tick. Detective Gannon’s wristwatch is the only audible sound in this studio apartment as I make my way around the room. Stepping slowly and listening for the creaks in floorboards. Hoping that one will sound hollow. Tick. Tick. As I move towards the kitchen, the floorboards remain silent and firm. I scan the countertops and appliances looking for anything out of place. My eyes glance over to the small scratches in front of the refrigerator. Tick. Tick. I attempt to move the mass of metal and plastic to no avail. “We’re not going to find anything here,” Gannon says. “We combed this place like a **** with crabs. This Jackson guy may ...

Should you be a Starbucks Barista or a Doctor of Physical Therapy?

1h ago

Found this graph that was posted on some Facebook pages for the United Physical Therapists Association. This is based, apparently, on 16/hr Starbucks Barista straight out of high school vs a 150k tuition PT with loans and an 80k starting salary. Obviously, your situation and pay may vary. Food for thought.

Updated Planting Guide

1h ago

Hello! I recreated u/CoralBible's planting guide from [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/coralisland/comments/yz5oxo/planting_guide/) with updated information as of December 2025. Because lol, I absolutely lost so much cauliflower. I -believe- this is right to the best of my knowledge using [coral.guide](http://coral.guide) If not please *gently* let me know. I've made it to Summer Year One, so I am by no means an expert. All 'best' crops are based on total profit per tile assuming a minimum unprocessed harvest. Calculations account for: * Number of possible harvests (replanting for non-regrowers, continuous for regrowers) * Seed cost vs. sell price * Multi-season ...

Zone 6 Food Forest plants

1h ago

Hi there, here is a pic of our ever expanding food forest/forest garden in New Jersey zone 6b. Looking for fellow food foresters in similar hardiness zones. We grow a lot of varieties of all the usual mulberry/persimmon/paw paw etc but would love to hear what everyone is growing, more so the weird stuff or lesser known/utilized edible natives. We have a small nursery as well and would love to hear about cool stuff to grow for ourselves and neighbors. This year we added schisandra and will be grafting some kousa, shellbark hickory, shipova, but I’m sure there’s even stranger hardy stuff out there that folks are just starting to grow 👀

Rampant abuses of the Circle of Life by Scar and the hyenas rapidly depopulated prey in the Pride Lands. Upon the successful revolution, Simba inherited a vastly poorer kingdom with a support base that was willing to uphold the traditional monarchist government, but also was previously on the verge of abandoning the Pride Lands. A radical new ideology was needed to pacify the already high tensions and address looming starvation crisis. Additionally, Simba’s greatest allies, Timon and Pumba, were prey animals. The only way to protect his allies and feed the troops was to promote Hakuna Matata as a new state religion. With many hyena and lioness bodies remaining across the battlefield, the...

Vietnam is amazing to visit. Living here is a very different story. Here are my two cents.

1h ago

Vietnam is amazing to visit. It’s easy to fall in love with the food, the energy, the affordability, and how welcoming people feel. But living here long-term is a different story, because the daily friction becomes real. Pollution and traffic are probably the biggest long-term issues, especially in Hanoi. The real problem isn’t just “bad AQI numbers”, it’s the fact that you’re breathing dirty air every day, dealing with constant noise, and navigating chaotic traffic, which slowly wears you down. On a short trip, it’s manageable. When it’s your normal routine, it hits very differently. I once read a comment where someone said that on really bad air days, they even sleep with...

AmazingCo Mystery picnic service experience-nothing "amazing"

1h ago

As far as I can see, this is the only in-depth review of this activity on Reddit, while questions about it pop up every now and again. I saw an international company [Amazingco.me](http://Amazingco.me) advertising Mystery Picnics in NZ, - you go around places, solving puzzles, which lead you to different food outlets, where you collect bits of food for your picnic, you then enjoy your picnic in a designated spot. It seemed like a wonderful idea. The company seemed well established with branches around the world and plenty of positive reviews, so I decided to book it. I paid extra for "cool it down" experience at the Auckland's North Shore. The gift card is only for the exp...

Fun, Sustainable Activities for Your MBTI Type

1h ago

The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator offers a way of understanding how different minds naturally enjoy engaging with the world. When sustainability aligns with our cognitive preferences, it feels playful, energizing, and fulfilling. ISTJ 🌼 ISTJs tend to experience fun through reliability, order, and doing things the right way. Sustainable activities feel satisfying when they are practical, proven, and quietly effective, such as maintaining community gardens, organizing recycling or compost systems, tracking energy or water savings, or helping preserve local natural areas through long-term stewardship. ISFJ 🌼 ISFJs find fun in caring for others and preserving what matters. Sustainability...

Do males grow out of aggression?

1h ago

So I have a few questions along with that. Is aggression a really bad thing? Every time I even pass by the tank he starts flaring. Ive had him for a few months and hes only been doing this recently. He has also been making bubble nests in this ONE spot. And he just got really upset bcs I put in some new plants and it moved the nest…. Okay my questions. \-do I just leave the bubble nests? \-am I stressing him out? Or is it excitement? \-if im stressing him out, should I stay away from his tank as much as I can other than partial water changes and food? \-is there anything I can do to help him if hes stressed ? For context hes in a 10 gallon , heavily planted with some silk hammocks u...

Does anyone remember this cartoon?

1h ago

To those who are into Brazilian cartoons, this is actually a Brazilian cartoon that is based on the book "Jujubalandia" and was a reboot to the '98 TV Puppet adaptation. I was first introduced to it by surfing Ideas Wiki. Plus, this show was apart of Cartoon Network/Boomerang. The show is about a kingdom where everything is made of food. The neighborhoods are made of fruits, candies, vegetables, sushi, cheese and other delicious treats. The main character is a bee called Zuzu, who dreams of being a famous singer even though she has a terrible voice. The Grannies are magic cooks that protect their land.

Fun, Sustainable Activities for Your Enneagram Type

1h ago

When sustainability speaks to our core motivations - our need for purpose, connection, creativity, or peace - caring for the planet becomes a form of self-care and self-expression rather than duty. Enneagram One – The Reformer 🌼 Ones have fun when they’re improving the world and aligning actions with deeply held values. Sustainable activities feel joyful when they clearly reduce harm or create ethical systems, such as helping set up zero-waste programs, advocating for better environmental policies, or refining community sustainability plans so they work better and more fairly. Enneagram Two – The Helper 🌼 Twos experience fun through connection, generosity, and feeling genuinely...

Mother-in-Laws-Tongue or Snake plant.

1h ago

As you can see the best way to take cuttings from this plant is by leaf. Pull leaf off the main plant, place in a glass of rain water, (preferably) and a long time later the roots will start to appear. Leave this in the same water or do regular changes, I find the same water to be best, once the roots appear you can plant it up in a well drained soil. I also find it better to let the actual shoots come out before planting in a small pot. These plants don’t like too much space around the base so keep them in small tight pots all their lives. Out of direct sun. These were rooted in an east facing window and will be left until around March which is eight weeks away.

looking for foods similar to my current diet to help me slowly become a vegan (with ARFID)

1h ago

Hello! i have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) related to my autistic sensory issues with taste. even though I really will want to eat a new food, if i eat a food that is too new or causes me sensory problems I instantly start choking and splutter it out. it is not an anxiety thing for me, because I really want to eat the things, but it doesnt work! my arfid has gotten so bad before I had to see a dietician as i was underweight with deficiencies. i am healthy now, so will experiment new foods until i have found new sources of important dietary needs in the rest of my life, I am ""vegan"" - no leather, for example. what works best for me is finding very...
