Am I able to save these Vining tomatoes?

1h ago

I moved these tomatoes I grew inside outdoors and they stay in consistent sun and get watered often. Am I able to cut them/prune them to start again so they grow stronger? The top seems really leggy but I have gotten lots of new growth towards the bottom/base of the plant. If I can cut them where can I cut them?

Need help hitting protein goal

1h ago

Hey everyone, I'm now 3 months post op gastric bypass and am having a very difficult time hitting my protein goal. I was told by my surgeon that I should be getting between 60 to 85gr per day, but even getting to 60 is a challenge. Any type of shake makes me nauseous, whether it be pre-made or the ones I make with pp, so I'm looking to get in as much protein from food as possible. I already feel like I'm forcing myself to eat as often as possible to get in as much protein as possible, to the point that I'll be eating even if I don't want to. I also don't eat any breakfast as eating when I've recently woken up makes my stomach hurt. Anyone have any tips...

If You Can't Control Your Urges You'll Be Controlled The Psychology of Self Regulation Science Based

1h ago

Nobody talks about this, but most of us are basically just walking sacks of impulses pretending to be adults. I started noticing this pattern everywhere after reading about dopamine regulation and behavioral psychology. We're living in an era designed to hijack our attention and keep us hooked on instant gratification. Social media apps, **** sites, junk food companies… they've all studied human neuroscience to figure out exactly how to make us addicted. And it's working. The average person checks their phone 96 times per day. We're not weak or broken, we just never learned how to regulate our nervous system in a world engineered to exploit it. The science behind this ...

Still painful on day 13? :(

1h ago

I’m so ready to be over this!! My follow up is Thursday, and tomorrow is officially two weeks from my surgery. I was curious if a lot of others still had significant pain at this point? How long did it take to actually go away for good? I felt GREAT a few days ago but the steroids and oxy they gave me had instructions for tapering off, and since doing so it’s definitely felt like a back step. I’m just using ibuprofen/tylenol now, but I have swelling in my tongue that makes it feel cut up, throat is still really tender, still really not able to do much in the way of solid food. My scabs are mostly gone and I know progress isn’t linear on this, but I can’t help feeling like based ...

38 [F4M] UK / Anywhere - Soft hearted romantic looking for old-fashioned love that feels like home

1h ago

Hello stranger After some soul-searching (and retiring from my brief career as “cool girl who accepts confusion”), I know this: I’m not meant to do life alone. I’m independent, financially stable, emotionally literate and I bloom best in love. Not chaos. Not breadcrumbs. The good kind: morning coffee, inside jokes, shared silence, gentle hands, and that unmistakable feeling of home. I’m looking for companionship, affection, and a love that feels chosen daily, never questioned or hidden. ⸻ About me London-based work in Product management. Three degrees, loved them all, barely use them…. go figure. Well-travelled and hungry for more. Food matters. A lot. Bleeding-hear...

Just finished my first game in Highguard

1h ago

(before "diving in" i would like to address the sad part of this community that whenever they see a thing they don't like they just start using any excuse to **** on it. WE GET IT there too many hero shooters. i **** hero shooters as much as the next guy. but the game just released and you use the resolution "bug" as an excuse to say the game is ****? and that queue time is too long? (even though i got into a game under 10 seconds) get a grip. the game just released. unless you're expecting a AAA game from playstation or Nintendo there are going to be issues and bugs to be dealt with. and an online game that just released wouldn't have 100k players on the s...

Raised by a radfem vegan mom, guilted myself into vegetarianism, and wrecked my body to the point of developing an ED

1h ago

I’m 19 now and ex-vegan/ex-vegetarian/ex-reducetarian, and this feels like the only place I can say this without being told I’m evil or lying. My parents had me really young, mom was 18, dad was 19. They married after I was born, divorced when I was around 5, and shared custody for years. I was mostly with my mom during the week and my dad on weekends, until I was about 12 and everything fell apart. That’s when my mom went vegan and deep into radfem stuff. She constantly talked about men being inherently unsafe, how women and girls are always in danger, even from fathers. She told me she regretted having a child with a man, including my dad, and said that wasn’t abusive because it w...

Characters with mostly support abilities that are some of the strongest in the verse Because of how they use them along ...

1h ago

Samura from Kagurabachi uses Tobimune a blade that has three abilities. crow : which allows him to teleport by replacing himself with one howl : which lets him analyze an entire field to detect spiritual energy. suzaku : which allows him to heal himself and others (although it does have an attack mode). non of those are outright offensive abilities (except for Suzaku). but what makes him deadly is how he uses them. Samura is a swordsman who is mostly based on speed more then anything else with his use of the Iai white purity style. so his teleporting makes him one of the most annoying people to fight against pair that up with him using the wings from tobimune to fly like a black ang...

This game is incredible.

1h ago

So I bought this game back in April 2020. I think it was pretty fresh in early access. I played for a day or two, got my *** kicked, and then I'm pretty sure I got to the end of the "story" where it said the caravan was still in development. There was basically no content at the time, and a lot of mixed reviews. I doubt I even got past level 3. Put it down and never touched it again. Just got a steam deck recently, and went through my library. Saw this game and scratched my head. Maybe I'd give it another shot. Surely 5+ years of development changed the game in some way. I have not been able to put the game down. I'm not sure what exactly has changed, but the gamep...

Air bubbles at top of loaf

1h ago

I’m a beginner at bread making. This is the King Arthur Everyday Bread recipe, and this loaf is my second attempt. My first attempt was okay, but a bit dense and the loaf didn’t rise like I wanted it to. This time, I tried adding more time during bulk fermentation and the pan rise step. I was going based on the dough’s visual cues because my house is cold, and the rise times were quite a bit longer than the recipe stated. I am not sure what caused the top middle of the loaf to have these large air bubbles. Does anyone have advice or thoughts? Thank you!

so yeah, it's a short story I had to write last year, I just thought it'd be interesting to ppl on this sub and I find it funny how like every other story was like a new kid at a school and **** and yes my teacher was fine with swears that weren't like really bad but anyways, here it is (but not in the cool fonts and **** I used): **OPERATION EAGLE NINE** **BEST DRAFT** **2011, Iraq.**  **“Yo, Logan, can you turn on the radio?” I said, just having a feeling we might need it,**  **“Derik, we haven't seen nothin for a while.”** ***Shhhhhhhhhpppppppppp BOOM*****.** **“Shit!” I yelled.**  **“They got a **** RPG! Found this signed 1996 "A Tribute to Sparky" Benefit Event Program

1h ago

I think I identified all of the autographs on the cover. Jim Brandstatter (bottom). Bo Schembechler(middle right). Alan Trammel (middle left). Chuck Daley (top Right) and then Sparky on top left. Kind of a neat random find, including a thank you from UPN 50, The Home of the Tigers! (I forgot that UPN existed!)

Learnings from cooking for my Celiac girlfriend

1h ago

I met one of the most amazing women in my life a few months ago. We've had a fantastic time, and as a home cook, Celiac has been a very fun and interesting challenge! TLDR: work with your ingredients, don't imitate "normal" food. I initially began with imitation recipes, like pancakes (savoury and sweet) and brownies (my serenade dish). I really had to work on things like the chewiness and using additives like either xantham or lentils to get a better texture. I was very much thinking of cooking in terms of swapping gluten products for alternatives. Soon we began to do many more rice dishes and then many Asian styled curries. Her favorite is Thai green, and I often mad...

The Harrison Report

1h ago

**What was the Harrison report?**  The Harrison report was written by Earl G. Harrison, the U.S. Commissioner for Immigration and Naturalization, under the direction of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, after Harrison was appointed the U.S. representative to the International Commission on Refugees. It was published in August 1945, and became a landmark report on the treatment and condition of Holocaust survivors post-liberation who were still living in displaced persons (DPs) camps in Europe. Harrison personally delivered the report to President Harry S. Truman in August of 1945.  The report was commissioned following reports from private organizations on the plight of Holocaust survivor...

OC Feedback Request (Redo)

1h ago

So, recently, I've started brainstorming a concept for an X-Men Evolution fanfic called "What Makes A King?" This story follows a protagonist who is from the ancient hidden Chinese kingdom of Qin, established by the last remaining members of the Qin Dynasty in the mountains of China thousands of years ago, and also slowly incorporated other people from other parts of Asia into the Kingdom as well. Think of it like a Chinese version of Wakanda. And I'm thinking that the kingdom of Qin could be deep into the mystic arts just as much as technologically advanced, to the point where Jinshi actually knows how to knock a person's soul from their body, Dr. Strange style, wh...

In need of help with food

1h ago

My girlfriend was diagnosed with endo prior to us coming together and I have been doing so much research on how to help and understand it as much as I can. I am just curious since her favorite type of food is BBQ, what kinds of things can I make to help her with this and to keep that belly happy. she's a picky eater and I'm just trying to accommodate as much as I can for her. links to recipes or sites would be amazing too. thanks in advance.

A Guide to Internal Signatures

1h ago

_This is a mirror of [a post on our website](https://feastingwithghosts.com/creations/essays/plurality/internalsignatures). Any updates will happen there._ (With thanks to Pax\^Wonderbeasts for suggesting the word "signature", and the Otherconnect Discord for proofreading!) So this is a guide on a thing that my system and several other systems do that helps us a lot with intentional switching, internal communication, and so forth. We kind of cultivate for every member of the system a "bundle" of associations and sensory impressions as a way for the rest of the system to reach them or as a way for them to reach out. For ease of discussion, I'll refer to these associ...

‘Dieting’ Shilajit. Men’s Health. Long Post.

1h ago

I wrote this in December and felt it belonged here (being a plant medicine) as many men might be interested in exploring this Diet. You can easily access all the herbs listed and you don’t need to travel or pay a Shaman to achieve beautiful results that I truly felt were very similar to my Ajo Sacha and Tobacco Diets. Drawing from my history utilizing Eastern medicine and Ayahuasca practices or what we once referred to as our Somaya program, I have developed a unique perspective on how herbs, ritual and carefully chosen dietary adjustments can dramatically enhance the intelligence and effectiveness of a single plant or mineral medicine. This was something I’ve seen before within Curan...
