I think I cursed myself… the other day I was thinking “wow I’m so grateful I haven’t had an eczema flare in years” (used to get them badly, usually on my legs, back of hands and back). Well, no more than 3 days later a flare on my lips/cheek started. Yay jinxing! Every time I open my mouth more than a centimeter it hurts.and cracks the skin. I haven’t had eczema in years so I don’t recall what worked last time. I have tried: - Whipped shea butter (which also has coconut oil and vitamin E in it) - pure coconut oil - natural lip balm with a base of safflower oil, These things help it temporarily by coating it and making it less raw, but usually wears off within a few hours ...

I posted a few days ago about a really tall (seems close to 9 feet from floor) but thin fiddle leaf fig plant I inherited a few months ago from previous tenants of my house. Based on advice here, I’ve put her outside in my yard for waaay more sunshine, and tried “notching” to promote some new growth to fill in the verrrrry long trunk. I also added a lot more soil, as the pot was only about half full and roots were exposed, then gave her a real good water. Current temps here are around ~18C during the day and ~10-12C at night (zone 10b). What else can I do to help promote growth and revive her? How often should I be watering?
