The Town of DripWood - Market Day!

43m ago

The small community of wood elves had first been established in this area many years ago, built up around a pre existing stone structure forming a massive aqueduct. Although major construction of large fortification structures like walls and castles was never completed; due to a lack of workable stone quarries in the area. An ancient stone dam, predating their own arrival had been converted into a temple of worship. It was here they communed with their nature gods and performed their rituals and rites of passage. Here, the locals partake in a ritual to bring forth the local rains and usher in the spring season. A large flowing river cuts through the town, fed from the bastion of reasvoir....

Property manager not replying about unfinished work

43m ago

Hi everyone, got a few problems with new property manager that I wanted to get advice on - but it’s a longish story!! (Based in London) \- Initially viewed in early December when they were refurbishing the flat. They gave a tenancy start date of 16th January 2026. We were flexible due to having our previous property until 9th Feb 2026. Our housemate offered to give x3 months rent for all of us upfront due to two of us being on benefits (even though it’s against the law to discriminate, but we do get put to the bottom of the pile, and this flat is ground floor with is perfect for us as we have chronic illnesses that limit our mobility.) \- went for a 2nd viewing on the 13th Jan, no floo...

Now do i think it was ttvms plan to get himself infected? Of course not but him being controlled by the astros might of just saved everyone unintentionally If duchess dint have any food to play with and taunt the alliance with, and no corefucked titans to torture them with, they probably wouldnt even bother The astros had the juggy blaster taken away from them so they had a reason to not outright destroy the base as soon as they found it They wont need wod to find the base because a specialist was the one to find it not wod even after the toilets installed spy detecting technology he was able to get one over poly the alliance wouldnt be able to prepare agaisnt something like the mothershi...

Ways to get more calories into your diet with minimal effort?

44m ago

Ever since swapping to plant-based eating, mostly eating whole foods, I've been losing more weight than I want to. I was already pretty lean with a fast metabolism and active lifestyle. The problem is I find it quite tedious to "just add another snack/meal in the afternoon". I also don't really have desserts, or sugary drinks, and things like that. It was a lot easier to get enough calories when I'd get the munchies and would pick up two double doubles from in n out twice a week lol (I've since stopped partaking as well which I believe is contributing to the weight loss via a less-altered appetite). Even though I lift and do other exercise, my protein consumpt...

I wanna be-" "Naruto, being Hokage is a very stressful job and it requires many years of-" "What no!" "No what?" "I don't wanna be Hokage! Look at how miserable you are!" "I suppose you just want to be a regular Shinobi then?" "Ew no, that's even worse! Look...

Shredded Butternut Squash

50m ago

I keep seeing the shredded Butternut Squash getting marked down at the grocery store and want to try it. The only recipes I'm seeing are for fritters, though. Is there anything else I can do with a container of it? (I have to be gluten free and don't care about meat, jsyk.) While I don't normally eat my food in fritter form, I guess maybe I could try that too, if y'all tell me it's really tasty lol

What’s the best cookbook to help me become an ingredients household?

50m ago

As the title suggests, I’m moving into a new house soon and, for the first time in my life, I’ll have a proper kitchen. I’d really love to use this as an opportunity to improve my cooking skills. I’m a fairly decent home cook. I make dinner regularly for my husband and me, but we tend to rotate the same meals, usually some variation of a quick 15-minute pasta. I’ve always admired people who can confidently mix and match ingredients and seem to have fridges full of real food rather than meal kits or pre-prepared sides. I do own a few cookbooks, but I often find they don’t help much when it comes to planning a weekly shop or building a well-stocked pantry. I’m looking for a co...

Getting to the Core: What Makes Shadowrun Work as a Mechanically and Where it Falls Apart

53m ago

Anyone who's checked out the numerous 'starting out in shadowrun' threads here has probably seen my comments about 'resource management' vs 'specialization application' game and I decided it's time to finally make a full post to elaborate on that and get some thoughts out about Shadowrun as a system. We used to have some good threads like World Builder Wednesday, Building Better Security, and the like. A lot of those are still in the side banner if you use old.reddit.com but is now buried in the wiki for reddit standard. Either way, I wanted to get some of these thoughts written out in a cohesive spot to make it easier to share and also get other'...

Is Swedish Fish candy safe for kids? Ingredients like Red 40 are banned in Europe due to hyperactivity and behavioral ri...

54m ago

Honestly, I didn't realize how deep the rabbit hole went with Swedish Fish until I used pom to scan a bag I picked up for my kids' snack time. Turns out, these chewy candies from Mondelez are loaded with artificial dyes like Red 40, which is basically a synthetic colorant linked to hyperactivity and behavioral problems in kids, based on studies from the European Food Safety Authority. What gets me is that Red 40 has been banned in Europe for years because of those health risks, but here in the US, Swedish Fish still slather it on without much fuss. Then there's Yellow 6, another dye in Swedish Fish that can cause allergic reactions and has ties to potential carcinogens accordi...

Advice for plants for school garden

56m ago

Hi! I am an avid gardener currently working at an elementary school with some kids and their garden. We will be planting out in March, and the kids could choose a fragrance, food, or art garden. The food I have covered but could use some brainstorming help from y’all on the other 2. We will have until end of April/the beginning of May to harvest/create our projects. Fragrance: So far I have lavender (transplants), lemongrass (transplants) and maybe mint from seed. I need a few more here. We will probs make soap/perfume sprays. Art: We hope to do some flower pressing- I was thinking Lantana transplants and Zinnias (from seed??), also marigolds (i can start seeds indoors and transplant?)...

Sudden extreme aggression after spay – we’re scared and don’t know what to do.

58m ago

Hi everyone, I’m really desperate for advice because my family and I are honestly terrified and heartbroken right now. Our cat was spayed about a month ago. She has always been very fearful and anxious, and while she’s never been particularly affectionate with me, she tolerated me. On the other hand, she always trusted my parents—especially my mom. My mom was her safe person. Yesterday everything changed. There were very loud noises (outside, sudden and intense), and instead of just hiding like she normally would, she completely snapped. She became aggressively defensive and started attacking everyone who came near her. Unfortunately, my mom was hurt the most. Since then, we had n...

Honey-Citrus Marinated beef and apricot skewers

1h ago

I made these Honey‑Citrus Beef and Apricot Skewers the other day thanks to MealPrepAI and its image‑based recipe generator, and honestly, I didn’t think I’d pull it off. I’m still pretty new to cooking, but the steps were super clear, and it ended up being way easier than I expected. How I did it 1. I mixed the honey, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. 2. I added the beef cubes and let them marinate for about an hour. 3. I put the beef and apricot pieces on skewers, alternating them. 4. I grilled everything until the beef was nicely browned and the apricots were caramelized. 5. I served it with couscous, and it turned out surprisingly good.
