Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan Foodstime traveller accidentally erases girlfriend movie3h agoI was at a party 10 years back and this movie was playing in the background, never got the name of it and want to watch it properly The lead is an indian? man in dark clothing who is a time traveller with either powers or a travel device (i don't remember a big machine), he and his girlfriend (blonde american with strong country accent, annoyingly sweet and compassionate and laughing at everything) visit her past and it accidentally erases her, then he tries to fix it. He is able to move and change objects slightly with his mind and influence people by talking to them. Theres lots of scenes in different periods of her life, food court when she is a kid, high school sports day, her at ... Great protein bars3h agoBeen to MTL 3 times - help us refine our food itinerary?3h agoHi everyone! Looking for advice on our Montréal food itinerary. We’ve been to MTL three times and want to try some new spots, but also avoid places that don’t fit our taste. We **didn’t love** Salle Climatisée, Le Filet, Monarque, Liverpool House, or Yokato Yokabai Ramen (thought these were mostly mediocre). We **really enjoyed**, ranked: 1. Sushi Hidden Fish 2. L’Express 3. Chez Delmo 4. Leméac 5. Elena We love seafood, bistro/brasserie vibes, and food with character. We’re not huge on overly high-end/fine dining, but are open to somewhere in the middle. Dal recipes w/o saturated fats /cholesterol?3h agoHi everybody, I’m hoping people who are increasing healthy sources of fiber may have an answer. Someone was giving away “lentils“ but instead it was a variety of other types of grains for dal. Does anyone have tips for preparing them without saturated fats? I like regular lentils just boiled until soft. But I imagine these grains would be better in a savory recipe (like dal). But dal involves warming spices in shortening (such as ghee from butter), as far as I recall. Shall I just look for vegan dal recipes as a start? Thank you! Two important orders of business. 1. We need to have a talk about the community self diagnosis and experimentation, whic...3h agoFor literally decades, internet pretend-doctors (and some real ones) have thrown out all kinds of wild and crazy theories on the nature of PFS, as well as potential treatment options. **I know this, because I was one of them. Guilty as charged.** Yes, I am also excited. I am not ******, the community is filled with people who desperately want to get better, and they can see the writing on the wall same as the researchers did. They are exceedingly well educated on molecular biochemistry, and as a result, it's rather obvious to pretty much anyone who understands said molecular biochemistry of sex hormone signaling, my theory is probably the most comprehensive and predictive model of PFS... The Modern Fantasy World, a Low/Medium Magic Earth that's both familiar and strange pt2: Dwarves3h agoHey there glad that you decided to read this post, and as the title implies this is a pt2 to a world building thing I am trying to do! For a rough breakdown of the setting, it's a low/medium magic earth with some changes, be it locations, existing species, ect. Magic is relatively tame and rare, only about 15% of the sapient population having magic at any given time. This can range from simple lights and aromatics, to more practical spells used for war, religion, rituals, labour, ect. Region altering spells are rare, usually a ritual that's several months or years in the making. The current year is 1840, with the industrial revolution well under way in europe, and only just bleedin... Food for thought on the topic of Religion...3h agoPerhaps this will be controversial to strict followers of organised religions, but me and my best friend god pretty deep over snapchat tonight... I'm half Jewish on my dads side and half Italian on my mothers side, I was raised predominantly catholic, very familiar with both belief systems but these days I would firmly say I identify more as a secular but somewhat spiritual Jew than a catholic, my best friend is a former Jehovah's Witness as far as the religion goes but still believes in the presence of a God post exit from the organisation. Both religions subscribe to pretty much the same exact God but follow different paths, Judaism is multilayered and has many different sects ... To save the butterflies?3h agoI’m very interested and dare I say, I think I’d like to turn our old horses pasture into a native flower garden for pollinators(and colors) instead of just, random jumbled mess. So far, I’ve identified 18 plants most of which are already native or “cultivated / introduced” (I can post in comments if wanted). My current “plan” is to bush-hog the existing plants down then mow it even shorter. Then till it 2 inches deep, then down to 8 inches. Then I think I’ll spread some top soil/compost then re-till at 2 inches. I have yet to do any depth research regarding which plants would be preferred as the area I’m in is NC-7B with the clay-ish soil. Based on the trees it seems as... When to repot my new Venus Flytrap?3h agoHi, this is my first VFT I've tried growing, got it a week or two ago. I've been on the fence about repotting it, since it sounds like it's usually a shock for the plant. It seems to be in 100% peat moss and I've been keeping it in distilled water in its original pot. I got it from a local nursery who had them all sitting together in one big pool with some pings and nepenthes as well. They seem like they know what they're doing, so I assume it was distilled water they have been sitting in (going to check with them to be sure tomorrow). However, I now notice that there's a jiffy pod wrapper or something around the rhizome, and I'm starting to wonder if t... 7 days in Peru — the itinerary that actually works: Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu without wasting a single day3h agoPeru is the most common trip people put on the list and never book. If 7 days is the window you have — here is the itinerary that uses every hour of it correctly. The biggest mistakes in Peru planning are all about time allocation. Lima gets skipped entirely. Cusco gets one rushed day before Machu Picchu. And Machu Picchu itself gets a single morning slot when it genuinely needs two full days to understand. This itinerary fixes all three. DAYS 1–2 — Lima Lima does not get the credit it deserves and that is a mistake most travelers make exactly once. It is a serious food city — legitimately one of the best in South America — with neighborhoods, museums and a coastline that reward... Angry/defensive mouse behaviour3h agoHello all! I hope it's okay that I post here. I don't have mice myself, but I used to have rats! I am writing a short story for class based around this photo ("Subway Squabble" taken by Sam Rowley) and need some insight around mouse behaviour. Specifically... with rats, when they are on the defense, they get on their tippy toes and try to look really big and scary, and if that doesn't work, they throw their butt around! I have seen this from time to time when my own rats were trying to get at something tasty like an egg or if i introduced someone new to the mischief. Is this something mice do, too? How do they behave when they're on the defense? In my story, t... Welcome to the Broken Crown community!3h agoHi everyone, and welcome! I’m developing Broken Crown, an indie real-time strategy game inspired by classic RTS titles, with base building, resource management, army recruitment, tech progression, and large-scale battles. In Broken Crown, your kingdom has been devastated by an unexpected orc invasion. With the king still alive and the realm in ruins, your goal is to rebuild, gather resources, train your army, defend your settlements, and begin the reconquest. The game already includes systems such as: ⚔️ infantry, archers, spearmen, cavalry, workers, scouts, medics, and leader units 🏰 base building, houses, barracks, archery range, stables, market, farms, warehouses, walls, and... Indigenous Plant Sale Denver3h agoFavourite “convenience”foods?3h agoI am 29f mom to 2 special needs kids aged 5 and 6. My husband works out of town 25 days a month and life is BUSY. I try to make clean whole food meals daily but sometimes it can feel hard, especially with tube fed children and cooking for one person. I’ve been trying to find some filling quick and easy meal ideas to avoid eating out or grabbing higher calorie/fat options. I would love to pick your brains and get some new ideas! Right now my new favourites are Plant Up Asian Dumplings, extra lean turkey slices from the deli I can grab and go from the fridge, and pre portioned smoothie wheels from Evive.
