Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan Foodsladies, what are we eating everyday?2h agoas I’ve become a girl in her 20s living on her own, I’ve realized I am the WORST at making lunches for myself, and dinners as well. whenever I don’t know what to eat for breakfast or lunch, I almost always make boiled or scrambled eggs with some sourdough toast (or avocado toast) because I literally don’t know what else to make or because I don’t know what groceries to buy to give me something easy to make. same thing goes for dinner, if I don’t make an actual whole recipe / meal, the only other thing I ever eat is mac n cheese lol i’m struggling HARD ladies. I live with my bf so I try to cook dinners for us, but like I said I don’t have any ideas for the nights when we are... Bean Recipes2h agoNot sure if this is the right sub for this but my food bank keeps giving me cans of beans and I don’t know what to do with them. And it’s like random beans, literally all kinds of beans. The only thing I know how to make is black bean soup but they don’t always give me black beans. Does anyone have recipes for various types of beans like white beans, kidney beans, etc.? Biscuits and Gravy That's Worth the Weekend Effort2h ago**Biscuits and gravy** represents everything wonderful about Southern comfort food – flaky, buttery biscuits smothered in rich, savory sausage gravy that sticks to your ribs and warms your soul. While this recipe takes about 75 minutes total (including some inactive time), the result is absolutely worth the effort. At 450 calories per serving, it's definitely an indulgent breakfast or brunch dish, but sometimes you need that kind of comfort food satisfaction. https://preview.redd.it/bsdou06ulu7f1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0bca86123dc81a95c7339af684fdb8ec3b3b38b3 The secret to exceptional biscuits lies in keeping your ingredients cold and not over... I think next time I will add breakfast potatoes #food #recipe #glutenfree #healthy2h agoHelp with focaccia rise2h agoHi! I started this sourdough focaccia this morning and I’m now about 3 hours past the recipes proofing instructions because it just doesn’t seem like it’s as bubbly as it should be. It has risen the last 2-3 hours but I’m just not seeing many bubbles. It’s been in a warm place the entire time. I was sure my levain was nice and ripe based on the bubbles and rise. Also, would it be okay to store in the fridge and bake tomorrow? It’s starting to get late 😭 Positive Encouragement: Envy is Information You Can Work With.2h agoGoogle tells me I'm the first person to use the phrase, "Envy is Information You Can Work With". Hard to believe someone hasn't said it before, frankly. Vegan GF NYC recommendations from my visit March '262h agoI'm always in search of recs, so I thought I'd post my Vegan GF recs from my visit to NYC this March '26. Photos: 1. Beyond Sushi 2. The Butcher's Daughter 3. Planta Queen 4. NY Dosas 5. HAGS 6. Soda Club 7. Confectionery! 8. HAGS Trip was with my mom and sister (both of which were omnivores). Here is where we ate: * Peacefood (Upper West Side - but they have 2 locations) * Have been dreaming of the raw lasagna for 2 years (when I last had it) and it was just as incredible as I remembered. They have a large selection of VGF baked goods as well including a *gigantic* grasshopper sandwich cookie! This was my fam's fav meal, which surprised me. We went for lunc... Chile Relleno?2h agoHello, Of all the Mexican restaurants near me, this is the only one that offers a side dish they call Chile Relleno Regular. I'm trying to find a recipe to make it at home, but I can't find it. Is not like the typical stuffed, fried pepper. This one is like a base layer of meat, topped with refried beans(?) that has a rough chopped bell pepper in it. Then it's covered with a good portion of white cheese. It's maybe baked to let the cheese melt? Any clue what else it may be called so I can locate a recipe? The spices & flavor are phenomenal. I've included the menu description; sorry I didn't include a pic of the dish. Visually, it basically looks li... Newly diagnosed, 520 BG yesterday, almost panicking2h agoSo our 13yo male cat Chubbs was diagnosed yesterday. For a tiny bit of background, he had dental surgery last month and was fine when he came home but not long after, he started drinking and peeing way too much and his legs got weak. The vet prescribed Bexacat, but didn't have any and had to order it. He told us most people he sees just put the cat to sleep instead = ( Anyway, the meds won't be in until tomorrow or Friday. Everywhere I look, anything over 300 blood glucose seems to be a GET THE CAT TO THE VET RIGHT NOW kind of emergency but our vet didn't seem phased at all about 520? He told us to try the bexacat. I asked about monitoring and he said it wasn't necessar... Girdling root?2h agoThis is the root flare of a 20 foot tall valley oak tree that was nursery grown. It’s sitting in an 8 ft box and will be transplanted into the ground tomorrow. I discovered today that two of the roots are growing perpendicular to the tank. Does this look like a girdling root situation, and based on the size of the roots they should be pruned? Since the tree will be undergoing stress from being planted soon, I am thinking of pruning one of the roots this winter and the other one to fall in winter if necessary. Senior male cat with recurring urinary issues (crystals, blood) - how do I know when it's an emergency?2h agoHi everyone, I'm feeling really overwhelmed and could use some advice or reassurance about my cat, Walter. Walter is 12+ years old and started off as a stray my boyfriend noticed around 2020. I moved in with him in fall 2024, and Walter was still coming around. I bonded with him pretty quickly, and by October 2025 we brought him inside full-time. Since then, he's been an amazing house cat and seems to genuinely enjoy indoor life. We first noticed urinary symptoms around September 2025 (frequent trips, urgency), but since he was still outside at that point, I couldn't tell if there was blood. We gave him some leftover urinary wet food and the symptoms went away. Fast forward... Suggestions needed – How to reach college hostel / PG students for a healthy meal service?2h agoHi everyone, I’m starting a small home-based healthy meal service for college students living in hostels/PGs who don’t get good food in mess. The idea is to provide affordable, simple, healthy options. I wanted suggestions — **How can I connect with hostel / PG students in the city?** **Are there any WhatsApp groups, college groups, or common places where students are active?** Not promoting here, just looking for guidance from locals. Thanks in advance 🙏 Height maintenance.2h agoPlease tell me if you think it’s better to perform height maintenance pruning in April or July? Can consistent height maintenance alone promote a wider growth profile? Will an additional 2 months of apical dominance (July pruning) promote noticeable effects in the growth habit of lateral branches? Some specifics; I’m cultivating a dense hedge (10 trees) and I want my arbs to fill in the gaps. I “adopted” these trees from a terrible nursery a few years ago and planted the trees with irregular spacing on center, basing spacing decisions on the hedge’s appearance when the trees each had 3-4 leads. The decision to train single leads came after their first winter in my yard. I p... wanted to join in with the trend2h agohttps://preview.redd.it/f4fji6uw5wpg1.png?width=808&format=png&auto=webp&s=a8d086a043a4e8e3d1fca4867de5682bbd4c2895 A witch cast a spell on me2h agoTLDR: Im afraid I fumbled after a date that was going well and I got hooked I (m/54) got a second date after a coffee date with a hippie chick (53f) who is a freelance rabbi, buddhist and maybe a witch (good, hopefully). She’s a world traveler with friends and lovers in many places, I think. I however, am 3 months out of a difficult relationship of 5 years that broke and changed me for the better. Currently broke, semi homeless, and watching my ex stepkids a few days a week (trying to phase that out. Ive never left the USA. I have potential tho. Takes time. Sigh. I had plans that didn’t happen because I got the date of the event wrong, so we decided to improvise and see what happens... You get to bring back 1 menu item back full-time, what do you choose?2h agorules 1. it can't be some secret menu thing. 2. it can't be some hack like "if you add a to b it tastes just like c" 3. it has to be brought back EXACTLY how it was, no "but first I'd tweak it a bit" 4. seasonal items are fine 5. it can't be a food that still exists on the menu but with a different recipe. (so no "i'd bring back the old eggs") Am I ****? This game confuses me2h agoObjective says to route from port to plant but the end point is to the warehouse. Also no option to dispatch vehicles after the route is completed. I'm so lost, seems like when I activate an objective the directions say something different. The only other infrastructure options are to fix 2 broken pipes. Do I need to fix the pipes first? I feel more lost than I ever did in Snowrunner. The instructions to function and advance on both these games are horrible. I was doing fine building roads and running machinery but now I'm just lost again when it comes to infrastructure menus. Please help. Also I have no idea how to build bridges. Will be googling that part soon once needed lol she... Just some happy today2h agoI am vegetarian, my husband and 5yo daughter are not. We all coexist peacefully and I cook all the meals. I choose not to eat animals because that’s my personal thing, but I don’t put it on my family because it’s also their personal choices. Anyway, our 5yo has been asking about stuff I eat, how my “chicken nuggies” are ok but I won’t eat Chikfila. I explained that because I don’t want to eat animals, the “meats” I eat are made from plants. She made a face and said “gross” and we all moved on. This past weekend we were in the car and passing a chicken truck headed for the Tyson plant. She said “mom? I don’t want to eat animals anymore. I think I want to eat plant... Raspberries and Vegetables for Garden2h agoWe’re looking to plant some raspberries and vegetables this year and are looking for non-big box garden center/nursery recommendations. We’re based in Cranston but happy to travel. We’re pretty new to the gardening game so bonus points for places that have nice people that don’t mind getting asked a bunch of questions! Starter seed, with everything you need?2h agoI dont know if its my RNG or im not creative with words or what.. But i keep finding "strips" instead of landmasses.. And i nowhere in the area can i find Bees or much animals.. Does anyone know of a Beautiful seed, that will allow me to build a Beautiful coastal Base, where i wont have to swim or sail just to get food\\supplies? \+ Bonus points if its a little flat or easy to flatten out once first boss is dead. \_ The dream would be to gert a seed big enough for "kattegat" -vikings-, type of vibe eventually.. But that might be asking to much .. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
