Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Vegan Foods Latest Community Discussions About Vegan FoodsSubtle signs you're addicted to stimulation and the COMPLETE guide to actually fixing it28m agoi've spent the last 6 months going down the rabbit hole on overstimulation, dopamine, and why our brains feel like scrambled eggs. read the books, listened to the podcasts, watched way too many neuroscience youtube videos at 1am. every guide i found was either "just put your phone down lol" or some 5000 word academic paper. so here's everything that actually matters, organized so you can stop wondering why you feel fried all the time. - **You can't sit in silence without reaching for something:** this is the big one. if waiting in line without your phone feels physically uncomfortable, that's not impatience. that's withdrawal. your brain has literally ad... ARFID?30m agoHi everyone, Just looking for some input from anyone who has worked with suspected ARFID. I had parents reach out about their 13-year-old who is only eating about 2 to 3 foods, and even then not a lot. Otherwise no diagnoses or medical history, and no swallowing concerns. The family doctor isn’t too familiar with ARFID, so parents are kind of wondering about it based on their own research. I haven’t assessed yet, just did a quick phone call with mom. Parents shared that growing up they were often told he would “grow out of it” since his weight and growth were okay, so they haven’t accessed any therapy up until now. They’ve tried different strategies at home over time, but are... There a better way to label chest?32m agoAny Add Ons that can help? Likelihood of getting the interview for a quant internship at the end of the year?32m agoI'm so afraid of these doomsday/end times prophecies fulfilling that i almost took on my own life - now trying to r...32m agoHi everyone. I’m 19 years old, I’m from Brazil, and I’m writing this because I honestly don’t know where else to talk about this. Before all of this, I was a happy person. I was cheerful, affectionate, friendly, and socially normal. I was baptized Catholic, but over time I became more of a deist. Religion wasn’t something that controlled my life. I wasn’t obsessed with politics, fear, or the end of the world. That changed around 2020 - and by 2022, things completely spiraled. Out of nowhere, I became deeply paranoid and mentally overwhelmed by Christian conspiracy theories, especially QAnon-style narratives, far-right content, and end-times prophecies. What scares me is how... Joo Hyun-Young Joins Park Min-Young & Yook Sung-Jae in Talks for New Romance Drama 'Nine to Six'33m ago>*Joo Hyun-Young* may be joining the upcoming romance drama **'Nine to Six'**! >MyDaily reported that *Joo Hyun-Young* would be starring in the upcoming drama **'Nine to Six'** (literal title). >In response, a representative from her agency stated, “*Joo Hyun-Young* is positively reviewing an offer to appear in SBS’s new drama **'Nine to Six'**.” >Based on the Chinese drama **'The Rational Life'**, **'Nine to Six'** tells the story of a woman who, after prioritizing work over romance, experiences change and personal growth in both her career and love life when she meets a thoughtful and warm-hearted man. *... Cheap way to make my own potting mix for containers?36m agoWe're planning to grow 2 tomato plants, 1 pepper plant, and 5-6 herbs. We have three 8 gallon grow bags and are going to get five 1 gallon grow bags. Google says I will need 32 quarts of potting mix per 8 gallon bag and 4 quarts potting mix per 1 gallon bag, so 116 quarts or 29 gallons total. 29 gallons of the cheapest potting mix I can find is from Miracle Gro for about $35. Decently affordable but still more expensive than we expected. The recipes I've seen for homemade potting mix use like 7-8 different things which quickly adds up to be more than the miracle go, so before I give up on that I'm wondering if there is a cheaper way to do that or if we should just stick w... Storage totes for container farming? Tomatos and Sweet Peppers38m agoThese are HDX plastic storage containers from home Depot. they are all #5 pp food safe. I have 2 27 gallon totes, 1 12 gallon tote. right now I have 1 sungold tomato plant, 1 Cherokee purple tomato, and 1 love gourmansum sunrise. I also have 2 yolo bell peppers, 1 lunchbox pepper, and 1 sweet banana pepper. the 27 gallons have a depth of 15 inches, and the 12 gallon has a depth of 12.5 in. wondering what the kost optimal layouts for these are? I'm also worried about the depth, I've heard that tomatoes, especially indeterminate, can need like 18+ inches and I saw a picture of a single tomato plant that filled a full tote lol. However I've seen lots of people talk about... I’m becoming exhausted with the internet39m agoI don’t know if this is the right subreddit? I just wanted to ramble and see if there’s shared sentiment out there. I’ve been on the internet for a long time, since the mid-00s. I’ve seen the generations rise as user bases grew from Gen X, to millennial to Gen Z. This place was already hostile, but it felt bigger. There were more ways to escape to where you wanted to go. I frequented ScrewAttacj and GameTrailers after I got my laptop. I found weird content creators making videos about old games from the Vektrex. I had my own opinions on the Star Wars Prequels questioned by the vitriol, as I was too young to to have self assurance in my options. There were flash games, Music forums fo... Marmalade to be re-branded in post-Brexit food deal40m agoMarmalade okay Vegan marmalade NOT OKAY 'A short tale of a traditional food item that is allowed to expand its definition & compositional horizons; and if it's a vegan version just **** you, it's not allowed, it's confusing people!' RIP EU vegan sausages, burgers, milk, and all the other food shapes included in the EU whiny ******* farmer originated sissy fit shite fest. The Enshittification of Tipping40m agoAnybody else feel that tipping used to be an enjoyable, or at least a not annoying, experience, that actually mattered? There was something about calculating 15% after a special occasion and manually writing it in the receipt, or leaving cash in the binder with the corner sticking out a little bit, so they know you tipped. As a kid, it felt like being an Adult meeting the pizza delivery guy at the door and giving them a few bucks, and if we didn’t have cash that day, we were still getting our order, occasionally tipping when we had the cash was fine. At the coffee shop, just the change in the tip jar was fine and appreciated, even just the nickels and dimes because you needed the quarters ... Seasoning plant based foods with seaweed powder40m agoAm I crazy?42m agoMy husband and I are currently living with his mother and younger sister on a temporary basis. Due to my mother-in-law’s back problems, she needed support, and we agreed to share the household. In terms of responsibilities, my husband and I cover the majority of the household expenses — approximately 90%. We are the ones who consistently purchase the heavier and essential items, such as cleaning products and general household supplies. Groceries are technically bought separately, but I often cook for everyone when I prepare larger meals, so in practice, food is frequently shared on my side. However, one issue that has been deeply frustrating for me is related to food boundaries. I fee... [SP] Agentic Date47m ago“Hi, I’m Romeo,” he said, sitting down quickly. “Juliet.” She extended her hand. He shook it, smelled her perfume—dafodils, white wine, raisins—and felt a surge of electricity. “Nice avatar.” “Yours too,” she said, smiling. “I’m not going to tell you my real name,” Romeo said. “Right, yeah, don’t do it. I won’t tell you mine either,” Juliet said. “Good.” He leaned in and whispered. “Our agents.” “Why are you whispering?” she asked. “Best not to say too much, right?” He glanced up at the ceiling of Greenfeld’s, scanning it, nudging her attention there. The vegan tapas bistro on Fairmount Avenue made you feel like you were dining i... Back at the food bank49m agoQuick recipes and snacks!52m agoGday fellas! Just cooking my daughter a batch of her favourite pancakes for a snack/snacks ready to go for the next few days. I love this recipe dubbed “monster pancakes” in a baby food book we bought when she was born because they’re super easy to make, tasty and healthy. Plus it usually makes about 20ish little pancakes so we have tones leftover for quick snacks for the next few days. Id love to hear your best quick/tasty/healthy meals for your young ones. Your go to signature easy dish that you know your kids will love each time. I’ll start with my Monster Pancakes 1 banana 1 cup of spinach 3/4 cup of rolled oats 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/4 cup of tinned coconut ... Need Help finding equivalent Ramen52m agoThis is going to sound crazy, but my son is 6 and autistic with ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). He has eaten the brand Ramen Express by Chef Woo noodles since he was 2, they are literally a staple in his life every day. I bought my last batch in February and went to restock today to find them sold out everywhere. I could at least usually get a few packets from Walmart, but they are all gone too. I would get the beef ones for him, and the chicken ones he could tolerate, but beef was his go to. I need to find something that is similar taste and texture wise. He doesn't like the "yellow" type noodles, as they seem to be a bit too chewy for him and he will just... Tonsillitis - can a gluten reaction cause it/something mistakable for it?53m agoHi all. on Sunday afternoon (now Thursday night) I came out in what I thought was a gluten reaction shortly after I ate food someone else prepared for me. I was confused because trust this person 100% to handle my food as they have done for over a year now and are very well educated on coeliacs, but still i could only assume i had a reaction based on my symptoms. That night (Sunday) I had joint pain, aches, headaches, fatigue and a fever. Tuesday i got told I had severe tonsillitis and am now on the mend with antibiotics. But im confused because I only had the joint pain and body aches, a very coeliac symptom, for the 1st night and my tonsils weren't abnormal until the next night. My ... Is it really honest critism?54m agoi often here people argue against Caine defenders by saying the cast was just giving honest criticism to Caine before he started torturing them. Lets look at what they actually say and see if it's true. You can debate my interpretations if you'd like. "we think your ideas ****" is can be true depending on how you interpret it, they obviously didn't like his current ideas that torture them, but they all don't **** all his ideas. Zooble enjoyed his ****** sauce idea, pomni liked Gummigoo, Jax seemed to enjoy a lot of the adventures, Ragitha and Gangle seemingly had no issue with the mildenhall manor adventure, Kinger liked Caine's Chinese room bit, all of t... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
