The Chronicles of Koduma, Ch. 53h agoThe door opened, and Vesik was brought in. Raud switched on the light. “You’ve been gone a long time, Vesik,” he said. “Prison food, you know, Colonel, does nothing good for one’s digestion.” “Times are hard for everyone now.” “And that only proves that the military cannot run a state!” Despite his defiant tone, Vesik perched on the very edge of the chair. “Before your mutiny, the kodumans lived differently, but on the whole they were well-fed and prosperous. Now everyone lives the same—half-starved. Where are you putting all the resources, Colonel? I simply don’t understand how much more you need to gorge yourselves.” “I’ve already had my fill, Vesik. Th... How to Get Intimate At-Home Portraits in Nano Banana 2 Without Losing Realism using Nano Banana 2? Prompt Included!3h agoWhat I like about this kind of Nano Banana 2 prompt is that it doesn’t rely on a perfect setup. The image works because it feels slightly imperfect in the right way. # Prompt: "{ "subject": { "description": "An adult East Asian woman with long straight black hair sits on the floor in a real home interior, giving a calm intimate look to the camera; she has a slim frame with a visibly full bust emphasized by a black lace bustier, creating a grounded, lived-in, sensual-but-real social media portrait.", "mirror\_rules": "Not a mirror selfie; no reflected phone, no mirrored text logic, keep the framing like a direct casual smartphon... Budget-Friendly Swimming Pool Installation Ideas3h agoInstalling a swimming pool is a great way to enhance your home, but many homeowners hesitate because of the cost. The good news is that with smart planning and practical decisions, you can enjoy a beautiful swimming pool without overspending. By focusing on affordability, efficiency, and long-term value, you can turn your backyard into a relaxing space while staying within budget. One of the most important factors in reducing costs is choosing the right type of pool. Above-ground pools are typically the most affordable and quickest to install, making them ideal for budget-conscious homeowners. Vinyl liner pools are another cost-effective option, offering customization without the high expen... Attn NJ shoppers: Your local ShopRite might have thes on sale for $4.99.3h agoSpotted a chest freezer filled with Di Fara pies on sale. Very good pie with a tasty crust. Impressed. Great value at half price. I hadn’t seen Di Fara frozen pies before. There’s an infection spreading… Please read3h agoFebruary 20, 2020 — I got this laptop for my birthday a couple months ago. Never really used it, so I figured I’d start blogging. Why? I don’t know. Boredom, probably. Maybe loneliness. Could be both. I guess I’ll start with an introduction or something. I’m not gonna give my full name. That just feels like common sense. For this, I’ll just go by my middle name, Shane. I’m 18, supposed to graduate in May (thank ******* God). I’ve always been kind of a loner. I had a friend group, but lately we’ve all drifted apart. Jobs, responsibilities… all that adult life stuff creeping in. I never really had that kind of ambition. I just want to get school over with and move into ... Must do mountain biking and paddle adventures in April3h agoHello Santa Fe community - my wife and I are coming from Durango, CO, and heading to Santa Fe and are in our 23' RV., I'd be very grateful to get some local recommendations on the must-do outdoor adventures and local spots to hit. **MTB trails** (intermediate, advanced, expert level). We can climb forever (even if its slow) and looking for anything from post-ride to all-day rides. Love techy stuff, up or down. \- Would love to find trails that you can bike to from a camping spot. This woule be amazing! **Paddling:** We also have our SUPs and packraft with so would love to get recommendations on sections of rivers (class 1-3), lakes or areas to paddle. We love swi... 6 days of Van Life in Iceland3h agoAlthough it's been a few months since I was traveling around Iceland in a van with 3 friends I never got the chance to give a full recap and telling of the trip. It was definitely one of the most fun, beautiful, tiring, and awe inspiring trips I have ever been on. Tons of planning and research went into the route and adventures, which all worked out in the end. So here is my experience spending a week in a van traveling around Iceland. The full recap with all pictures is in the link. Day 1: Ian and I are up early in my brother's apartment on the north coast of France in Boulogne Sur Mer. We hop in the car and race a train an hour south, barely stepping onto the platform a... This cookbook made me think about how our great grandparents ate3h agoI stumbled across this book from another post recently that completely changed how I think about food. We’re so used to fridges, supermarkets, and next day delivery that I honestly never stopped to think about how people actually ate before all that existed. This book is basically a collection of old recipes that were designed to last months or even years without refrigeration. The same kind of food our great grandparents (and great great grandparents) relied on. What surprised me most wasn’t even the recipes, it was the mindset. Everything was about making food stretch, using what you had, and not relying on systems that could disappear overnight. Reading it made me realize how depend... How to make bubble tea for kids3h agoMy kids like to get bubble tea from the mall, but it’s quite expensive, so I have bought ingredients, cups, straws, etc. to be able to make it at home as a treat. I’ve been looking online for recipes, but am getting a bit lost. I need some advice on how to get started with the tea-less, milk-less, fruit-based bubble teas. I have the passion fruit popping balls, and I would like to make a yummy “tea” for the whole experience. Any advice? Bingo Card 2025: LGBTQIA+ Board3h agoMy third Bingo Board is complete! I posted my Canadian Authors board earlier and tried to post my BIPOC Authors board, but something seems to have gone wrong with that post. I'll have to figure it out later. While the previous boards were focused on the author's identity, this board is focused on the identity of the characters. To qualify for this board, either a main character and/or love interest needs to be established as LGBTQIA+ on page. **Knights and Paladins: The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman** Excellent literary Arthuriana that slides one foot into history, while resting the bulk of the narrative weight firmly in the realm of the anachronistically fantastical. The characte... You're Not My Mother (Fever Dream)3h agoI'm not currently caught up on episodes as I started listening this past year, so I had to check and I'm glad to see people are still sharing their weird dreams on here! Feel free to read this on an episode (although it may be rather lengthy), and thanks to the boys for the good quality listens. Anyway, here's a dream I had about 3 years ago that I like to tell people about because of how bonkers it is. Hope you enjoy. To preface, I am somewhat able to lucid dream, at least to the extent of being able to realize I am in a dream and voluntarily wake myself up, which happens often. A handy skill to have when my brain shows me freaky nightmares but didn't help me in this... Should I think about moving back to Canada for retirement3h ago35M Canadian currently working in finance, based in Asia, and have been for the past 10+ years. Recently had a baby, and am starting to think about the long term future for me and my family. I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while to try and get a sense of how the economy and the people are doing, and growing up in Canada myself I’d love for my daughter to also experience the country and perhaps even get her higher education in Canada. How are things going - do you think in 10-15 years Canada will be a good spot to retire? We have decent nest egg built up between my wife and I: we own a handful of rental properties in Southwestern Ontario, with mortgages on them all paid for by t... Iron Panel/Ferritin Reference: What it does, what it misses, and how to not waste money.3h ago**Mission Brief - What This Test Is** An iron panel measures how much iron is in your blood and how well your body is moving it around. It typically includes serum iron (how much is circulating right now), TIBC (total iron-binding capacity, how much room your blood has to carry more iron), and ferritin (your stored iron, the reserves your body pulls from when it needs more). Think of it like a fuel system. Serum iron is the gas currently in the engine. TIBC is the size of the fuel line. Ferritin is the gas tank. A CBC can tell you the fuel warning light is on (low hemoglobin), but the iron panel tells you why and how empty the tank actually is. This is one of the most under-ordered tests ... Adding Salt to the current wound and a very, very old wound(Crafted Defenses)3h agoFirst I want to say that I actually like that builder base is getting “some” love. Honestly that trio is pretty solid(All you all drag spammers better watch out for that air bomb. Wish you all 1 stars!) Anyways some are making fun of supercell for “running out of ideas” and I think it’s a gray area. I am sure they are taking their time making the next set solid and just use these builder base ones to buy more time. But yeah, call it laziness or whatever. What is the salt to the current wound? I am here to give an idea for future crafted defenses: Someone on adifferent post mentioned a barb cannon that throws barbs similar to the clan capital goblin thrower thing. And it reminded... Skin issue3h agoThis is my sweet kitty Luna. 2yo female. We adopted her from a shelter as a kitten. Being a shelter baby she unfortunately got feline herpes which she now receives a vaccine for every 4 months after an eye ulcer incident. She did have a flare up and we had to give her eye drops and antibiotic ointment for 2 weeks prescribed by an ophthalmologist. At the end of the 2 weeks she started scratching excessively on the left side of her face, particularly her cheek and above the left eye so we took her back to our primary vet. They suggested possible food allergies and tested her for ringworm, they also said they were not concerned about any eye issues. The ringworm was negative so we went with a p... CMP/Comprehensive Metabolic Panel Reference: What it does, what it misses, and how to not waste money.3h ago**CMP/Comprehensive Metabolic Panel: What it does, what it misses, and how to not waste money** **Mission Brief - What This Test Is** CMP stands for comprehensive metabolic panel. It is 14 individual measurements in one blood draw that check how well your kidneys, liver, and metabolism are functioning, plus your blood sugar and electrolyte balance. If a CBC is a headcount of your blood cells, a CMP is a status report on your organs and chemistry. It tells you whether the machinery is running within spec. Together, a CBC and CMP form the backbone of almost every routine lab order in medicine. If you have ever had bloodwork done at a physical, you almost certainly had both. **Recon Snap... 54 [M4F] #Ohio #Online - Seeking my Beloved, Local or Long Distance4h agoI know you're out there somewhere. And I'm fine with long distance, as long as there's a reasonable expectation that we might meet in person someday. I could see myself relocating someday if that's the way things worked out. I'm a bookish sort. I know neighboring towns (and even towns some distance away) by their bookstores, and I always want to stop in to browse. I get books like I get groceries, and I love cooking too, though food is meant to be shared. I love losing myself in a story. I mainly read speculative fiction, but I branch out a lot. I cook everything, but I mainly like using lots of fresh ingredients and herbs and seasonings. I like having a juicer an... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
