I tend to spread around my grocery shopping based on what I need so I feel like I have a decent sample size to compare across. But in the last couple of months it seems like Whole Foods is struggling to keep their shelves stocked. Today their produce dept was bereft of basics: bananas, cilantro, strawberries, among other things. In the middle section, several shelves were nearly bare. For a store owned by Amazon, the online everything store, it’s really frustrating. Is it truly a lack of items? Labor shortage? I’ve been to other WF in a handful of other cities and have not seen this issue in those places.
