Originally from Bangladesh, but I grew up here. When I first joined Reddit, I was hoping to meet someone serious, but now I’m simply open to genuine conversations and connections and perhaps find someone serious. No pressure — just talking and seeing where it goes. A bit about me: I’m 166 cm tall and a bit of a nerd, especially when it comes to planes. Growing up between cultures has made me fairly open-minded. Spirituality matters to me. I’m Muslim and try to stay consistent with prayer, Qur’an, and living modestly. In my free time, I’m trying to read more, watch the occasional show or movie, and I spend a ... Week 1 - Inspired by a Joke : Why are dumplings never satisfied? They’re always left wonton more…22m agoI mean. Same here. I could eat so many dumplings, wontons, shumai etc… Shrimp, pork and lemongrass wontons in a ginger lemongrass broth, baby bok choy, scallions and chili oil. My daughters helped me fold all the wontons. It’s a fun time in the kitchen. We make so many! Hi everyone! My first year doing the cooking challenge. I did all 52 weeks of r/52weeksofbaking but only lurked over here. I figured why not do both this year! I’m a long time food blogger and photographer, burnt out on all the blog writing and SEO but still love to cook and bake and photo. The baking challenge last year was such a nice break from blog work and I had so much fun. It will be exciting to come up with ... (Lichen) Warhound Drakes23m agoOriginworld: Lakröth Secondary Origin: Myrkväle Intelligence: Sentient Average Lifespan: 90 Years Status: Alive Category: Dragon Description: Warhound Drakes are a more uncommon species of Drake. Warhound Drakes were popularized during the Fragmented War by the Kingdom of Myrkväle and many warriors would ride these massive beasts into battle (Hence the name Warhound Drake). Warhound Drakes are more aggressive than other Drakes, as while they were naturally already massive and perfect for combat, they were further modified by Earthborn magic in order to be larger, more aggressive, and have more endurance against non-magical weapons. Warhound Drakes are less common due to them requiring... Need help understanding zone based crafting limitations23m agoSo i promoted myself in the riverlands but i am based out of anvil lands. My recipes are requiring ash, or example the baskets require ash, or i cant make certain anvil patterns. Is this because of that? Do i need to demote myself and lose all my levels and repromote myself in the anvils? Is there any way to be able to do anvil crafting without losing all my crafting levels and xp in my current level? Hernia 'Safe' Workout Exercises & Tips - from 3 x AI tools23m agoI want to keep exercising with a small HH, but with fear of making it worse I've asked 3 AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT and Grok) to recommend hernia 'safe' exercies, then went back and forth to de-dupe, recommend more, add in others I could think of and review them for 'safety' etc etc, the output is below, hope it helps!! Not conclusive/exhaustive, but a logical framework and some exercises that limit intra-abdominal pressure vs some of the 'bad' exercises. \*\*Please note - this is not medically confirmed data - please consult a Dr before commencing any physical activity!\*\* I trained as a PT many years ago and so have a good knowledge of physiology and b... Underweight - Suggestions + Help?24m agoHi folks, I have a question about my 2 year old pup Cooper. He's a Great Pyrenees mix - my husband and I rescued him when he was 12 weeks, and according to a doggie DNA kit, he's 93% Pyrenees and 7% American Bull Dog. We took him to the vet to update his vaccines in late December, and he weighed in at 68.5 lbs. The vet listed him as underweight. We feed him 4 cups a day of the [duck recipe from The Simple Food Project](https://www.chewy.com/simple-food-project-duck-recipe/dp/1996254) (2 cups in the morning and 2 cups in the evening). He is picky and doesn't always finish his food. We also give him a few small treats during the day. Should we cut back on the tr... Apparently28m agoA little thing I wrote with Kazumi, Bakugo, and their gremlins (mostly Hinako, Retsu would never do more than watch from a distance) \- Bakugo wakes up to the feeling of an empty bed. It's not something abnormal; far from it, actually. When you're married with two kids, it's rare when you get private time together at all. He can hear the sound of his family in the other room. Hinako, their daughter, cackling as the sounds of her feet slamming on the kitchen tile echoes through the house. He can hear Kazumi, exasperated but fond, "Hin, *please* don't use your Quirk outside of the kitchen—" The next voice was his son, Retsu, saying something softly, which ... As the leaves turn, indulge in Tinis Viral TikTok Mac and Cheese, a dish that warms the soul and brings loved ones toget...29m agoSo I stumbled across Tinis Viral TikTok Mac and Cheese when I was scrolling late at night (classic food TikTok rabbit hole), and it immediately caught my eye probably because I’ve been on a mac and cheese kick lately and this felt like such a fun twist! It’s kind of like a cross between classic mac and cheese and a creamy Alfredo, which is everything I’ve ever wanted on a cozy weeknight. I made it yesterday when I was craving something indulgent but still super easy to whip together. Let me just say: it’s going straight into my comfort food rotation. Full recipe is here if you want to check it out: [Tinis Viral TikTok Mac and Cheese Recipe You Need](https://www.amgroyal.com/tinis-vir... Why Beyond Bacon is Still in Play31m agoThe first screenshot here is from an investor deck that someone uploaded to the web. It's from late 2024. It shows a roadmap for the alt-meat product line. We now have the whole-muscle steak which saw a limited release in 2025. So, as of late 2024, bacon would be next in line. Second screenshot is from a company instagram post, and it's hinting that bacon will be released at some point. Even though the company is trying to broaden its appeal past meat alternatives, bacon is something they've been working on for [5+ years](https://www.eater.com/2019/7/26/8930827/beyond-meat-developing-bacon-plant-based) and it seems to be in-demand. I have no idea on timing, but keeping ... greater Lafayette baking club!! anyone want to join?31m agoA few months ago, I posted a feeler for a baking club based out of Lafayette. I can’t believe it, but we have had 3 meetings now averaging 20 baked goods per meeting! It has been so amazing, and since we have a bigger venue now, I wanted to publicize it again here!! The concept is that you bake one batch of baked goods that go with a certain theme (previous themes included summer berry, holidays, and childhood favorites). You bring your baked goods to the meeting, make new friends, eat a ton of food, and then go home with one of everything!! It is a great time and everyone I have met is amazing. I finally created an instagram with detailed info and meeting announcements. Our next meeting i... Vegan mom — where can I find prepared meats for my baby to try?31m agoLike the title says, I’m fully vegan, but I do believe it’s important to offer my baby as wide a variety of foods as possible because I don’t want her to develop any intolerances or GI issues simply because I didn’t expose her to the right foods. I also don’t want her to feel left out at a birthday party or at school if her peers are eating chicken nuggets or something and she’s never had them at home, etc. I can’t ask this on any vegan or vegetarian subs because they’re very judgmental spaces and I’ll be roasted alive and receive no actual help. Dairy is easy because I can give her yogurt, cheese, etc. and check the boxes without much prep on my end. But in terms of meats,... 7 top health and wellness stories from 2025, from weight loss to fitness in old age34m ago# Body transformations, scientific breakthroughs and weight-loss journeys are among your most-read health and wellness stories this year Health and wellness are areas of huge interest to people globally as they seek to live longer, healthier and happier lives. Understandably, these topics resonated strongly with Post readers in 2025. Most popular was a story in our “Decoding dementia” series about a neurologist who uses five simple tests of cognitive function, including drawing a clock, to help gauge the health of a patient’s brain. Stories about weight loss also struck a chord in 2025, reflecting a broader shift towards sustainable, medically informed approaches rather than quick... In my last role I managed a department by myself and created new processes/procedures as none existed but I was also bullied and talked down to almost on a daily basis despite automating reporting, making data readily available for everyone etc. That job life my with scars, I get told by my classmates, friends as well as my professors that I’m smart but unfortunately I’ve never been in a healthy corporate environment where there was training/mentorship/coaching or where someone saw my creative thinking as well as ideas and supported ... Not too sweet baking book35m agoI've been on my vegan baking journey with Dr. Karolina Tegelaar's book *The Vegan Baking Bible*. I love Karolina's story and her interesting recipes but the problem is that a lot of them are too sweet for my taste. Often I'm cutting some of the sugar and it's still a little too much on the sweet side, even with reduced amounts from what the recipe calls for. I am a baker looking to focus more on flavor and other ingredients besides sugar (and I'm not huge on sugary desserts). I'm wondering if anyone has felt this way about *The Vegan Baking Bible* or if there are any alternatives you'd recommend for a vegan baking book that are not so sugar heavy? Than... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
