I have always heard that Thou Shalt Not put tomatoes or other acidic foods in cast iron but it seems kind of absurd to me if you clean your skillet right after cooking and have a good layer of seasoning. The polymerized fats that make up the seasoning layer are not soluble in acid, and I can't imagine that the timescales required for them to break down significantly (even at cooking temperatures) would be short enough for most cooking tasks to make a difference, especially if you are cooking other things in between and replenishing the seasoning layer.
