Starting Wegovy

1d ago

I recently got accepted for Wegovy 0.25mg through Superdrug Pharmacy UK. I did have to pay for it but it was cheaper than Monjauro. This is my first time using this. I won't go into detail about weight struggles but I'm 33, 5ft 9 and over 15st. Now considered in the obese mark 😭 im struggling to shift it naturally so that's why I decided to try it but my nerves are through the roof. I have very bad health anxiety but I know my weight is a huge problem and I need to something about. I'm curious to hear others experiences with it. 😀

UK Mounjaro providers – best pharmacy for support? (Type 1 diabetic asking cautiously)

3d ago

Hi everyone. I’m based in the UK and researching starting Mounjaro privately later this year. I have type 1 diabetes so I’ll be approaching it cautiously and monitoring closely. I weigh around 114kg and tried everything this is the next step before weight loss surgery. Unfortunately being diabetic is making it harder to naturally loose the weight. I’m mainly looking for experiences with UK providers – which pharmacies or services people have found the most reliable and supportive. Things I’m interested in: • which UK pharmacy you used • how good their support / communication was • price vs service • whether subscription services (Voy / Juniper etc) were worth it vs Boot...

How to get 12.5 from a 15 pen?

12d ago

I have been on MJ since May 2025. Went from 17 stone to 13 stone. The weight has been slowly coming off which I don’t mind. I started out with Superdrug’s, then Asda then local pharmacy. My local pharmacy was reasonable priced so I stick with them. Currently on 12.5 as the satiety wasn’t working anymore on the 10. I’ve only done one month on the 12.5 and I’m loving it. I wish to stay on this dosage for a while yet, but my issue is that my local pharmacy only has the 15 in stock. Today is my jab day and I don’t really want to take the 15 but my question is, how do I get 12.5 from a 15 pen? If I do, how many 12.5 could I get from the 15?

My (27M) boyfriend got me horrible gifts for valentines… and I’m so upset (27F) am I being ungrateful?

26d ago

I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but for valentines gifts, we exchanged gifts and I got my boyfriend: A dressing gown from M&S Car refresher from Rituals Nike socks t shirt from Uniqlo A beard trimmer Valentines bento cake from a bakery And in exchange, seems like my boyfriend just went to one store (Superdrug; basically a service that sells affordable make up/skincare and pharmacy services) and got me two face masks, supplement, candle, shampoo, and a plushie from league of legends (that still hasn’t arrived yet) It seems like, he didn’t put much thought into valentines for me.. yes he booked a hotel that has a pool, and a dinner at a Thai chain restaurant, but I don...

Swift Doctor

31d ago

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a quick review of my recent experience moving providers for maintenance, as I know this is a huge topic of discussion here right now. The Backstory I started my weight loss journey with Superdrug. As a 'newbie,' I really wanted the confidence and safety net of a 'big name' pharmacy. However, I emailed them twice in the first two months to ask about their stance on maintenance and they failed to even reply. The lack of support made me look elsewhere. I then moved to Oushk. I honestly had no issues with their service, though I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of their social media presence. Moving to Maintenance Now that I am at the point o...

Private weight loss dispensing nearly quadruples

Community pharmacies are using more wholesalers to find the best prices and reduce margin pressures, according to data from IQVIA. Speaking at the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) annual conference last week , IQVIA UK market intelligence senior director Chris Pilsbury said 79% of community pharmacies are using four or more wholesalers in the year to November 2025. More than 70% of independent pharmacies used six or more, the result of margin pressures “causing community pharmacy to shop around,” said Pilsbury. **Read more:** [**BREAKING: Lilly hikes Mounjaro price to address ‘inconsistencies’**](https://www.chemistanddruggist.co.uk/news/clinical/breaking-lilly-hikes-mounja...

I AM AT MY WITS END

46d ago

it’s getting so much worse as I get older! I’ve been using gycolic acid and it’s doing nothing, the bumps aren’t AS bad but the plus/dots are horrible. i’m tattooed and they are ruining the ✨effect✨ and i’m furious! i’m in the UK on a budget (aren’t we all on this island), and work long hours, if anyone can recommend a no holds barred routine that i can pickup at boots or superdrug or even a pharmacy, including if possible in shower products to simplify the process? sorry if this sub is spammed with similar Qs but i am losing my mind.

Best provider in the uk for wegovy above 1mg?

48d ago

I currently use an online pharmacy called VOY for my wegovy, currently on week 1 of the 0.25mg dose. The main problem with this pharmacy is that it seems to be the most expensive one I’ve looked at (compared to Asda pharmacy or Superdrug) however those pharmacies don’t offer anything above 1mg on their website, while voy does. Does anyone have any better suggestions? currently can’t get it from the gp as while i have an overweight (bordering obese) bmi and can take it, i don’t have any other conditions that would allow me to get it through nhs as they are quite strict at giving it out.

UK: Experience with non at-home injections, without NHS declared deficiency?

58d ago

I really don't like needles, there is no way I'll be able to self inject. I know Superdrug and some pharmacies will inject for you, but it looks like you need a GP note. My B12 floats around 200 and is technically in range, and doubt my GP will sign it off. I have iron deficiency anaemia and want to rule out B12 being the problem, and AFAIK you can't overdose on B12 so thought I'd give an injection a *shot*? Have got majority of B12 deficiency symptoms, though there are so many and they're so broad that I think they probably apply to all sorts of illnesses. I don't want to jump the gun and make assumptions here but figured worth a try. Any advice please -- ...

Are the pills making doses cheaper?

58d ago

Feels like the competition from potential oral GLP-1s might be pushing providers to drop prices on injections. Makes it a bit more accessible for private buyers. * Shemed – £75 * Pharmacy Planet – £80 * Zava – £99 * Pharmacy2U – £99 * Superdrug – £109

Question about Saturday delivery / parcel collection options

64d ago

Hello Everyone, I’m looking for some advice on delivery options with pharmacies, I’d like to have a parcel delivered on a Saturday, as I don’t want it to be delivered to my workplace, and home delivery isn’t ideal as no one will be home to receive it. Collection from a pharmacy isn’t an option as these pharmacies (Asda,Boots,Superdrug) are on the higher price range and why to pay that much more. Are there any other affordable options for collecting parcels on the same day—such as lockers, pickup points, or depots—rather than home delivery? Or did you contacted your pharmacy and let them know if they can schedule your delivery on Saturday? Any suggestions or experiences wo...

Wegovy Price After Discount – Price Update

80d ago

Hi everyone, I’ve put together a quick price comparison for Wegovy after discounts from different UK providers. Prices seem to change often, so I wanted one place to check the latest discounted costs for all doses. Sharing the chart here in case it helps anyone who’s trying to find the cheapest option. If you’ve seen better prices anywhere, please update in the comments!

Babydoll (2/3)

I wake up, get dressed, brush my teeth, and send Anna one of Ruthie’s photoshoot pictures. Clearly, she’s enjoying her time away; I get short messages back - some variation of ‘my cute/lovely/pretty daughter/Ruthie/baby girl’, and a ‘thank you so much for taking such good care of her!’ By day four, her responses are just emoji reactions. Fine with me.  I’m not going through the rigmarole of changing a doll’s nappy twice a day, so I le...

ordering online prescriptions?

101d ago

im trying to re-order my long term meds via online & seem to be running into a number of issues (unlike the last time i ordered online approx 6 months ago) firstly i dont seem to be able to do an online consultation & order 6 month supply (168 tablets) anywhere anymore- is this correct? i've tried using my nhs app & whilst i can request a 1month repeat prescription i dont seem to be able to nominate an online pharmacy to deliver them? superdrug offer an online consultation (for 3 month supply only) but require blood test results, which i have on the app but can't download my results & screen shots dont have all the relevant data they are asking fo...

BlackFriday offers that you cannot miss!

105d ago

Just came across this Black Friday comparison chart and honestly had to do a double take. I didn’t realise how wildly different the offers across weight-loss providers are this year. Shemed is literally doing £64 off your first TWO orders, which is way bigger than what most places are doing. Superdrug is at 15% off consultations, ASDA doing £30 off weight loss, Numan giving £100 off the first month, Chemist4u doing 80% off your order… and then some clinics didn’t even bother with a BF deal at all. If anyone is shopping around or trying to start GLP-1s without spending a fortune, this chart actually makes the whole landscape so much easier to understand. I had no idea the gap betwe...

All the GPhC inspection outcomes in one table

117d ago

I've put all the pharmacies in one table and ordered them by their last inspection date. It's interesting, there's a few that have been inspected recently and met all the standards at the initial inspection. I think we'll add this to a wiki page and keep it updated in case anyone has a burning interest. I might make a list of CQC info for the CQC registered clinics. |Company|GPhC|Pharmacy|Initial Inspection|Original Outcome|Reinspection| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Pills2U|[9012634](https://inspections.pharmacyregulation.org/pharmacy/detail/pills2u-9012634)||2025-10-14|Standards met|| |PillSphere|[9012694](https://inspections.pharmacyregulation.org/pharmacy/detail/pill-spher...
