My persian cat is 9 months old and this is first time I had to go and leave him alone in the house. I have a really big house so there is no neighbours nearby nor any of my friends are in the city. No relatives and I am going with my parents so my cat will be all alone can anyone give any advice, tips, suggestions as to what to do and what prep I should make for him before leaving, should I also buy a smart cam to keep an eye on him?

My Syrian has a plastic wheel from pets at home (the 30cm one) and I loved it, it was easy to clean and looked nice but it makes this clicking noise that disturbs me sometimes. I ignore it most of the time but I’ve noticed my hamster doesn’t use it much and stayed in his burrow a lot, I put his wooden wheel back into his enclosure to see if it was the wheel or something else making him not want to come out and it’s been 2 hours of non stop running since changing it. Is it the clicking that’s bothering him too? I imagine since he’s running it must be louder for him. The only reason I switched from the wooden was because he peed on it and I didn’t like the way it stained the wood/ ...

I've had my Syrian female hamster for 2 days, she is already so so friendly. I was unfortunately given some poor advice by pets at home regarding enclosure size it's 95cmx41cmx57cm which I'm now realising is too small and want to upgrade asap. I've made sure there is lots of enrichment in there and deep bedding. She just wants to come out all the time, hops straight into my hands for me to get her out, she's happy to have a cuddle but wants to roam around the room. Is this a sign she's unhappy in her enclosure? She's roaming around happily and not running fast or hiding. Is she just sociable or is she unhappy?

First post!! So we just got these beautiful female rats two days ago. They have a huge cage, plenty of water and food. They even came out and let me handle them on the first day. For some reason, both of them have become very attached to using this tunnel for their bed. We have quietly and patiently put treats outside of their home, and in the process have been attacked. To give a bit of background, these rats were stored in a fish tank in Pets at Home (if you're British you would know) and probably haven't been in the best living conditions. Whether it has something to do with that or the bed? Im not too sure. I just want them to be happy and not feel threatened by my presence....

I’ve had my rats for about 5 months now, Yuna (white) is very skittish and Slinky (brown) is partially okay with being picked up but only when she feels like it. I need to take them to the vets as I suspect a possible early respiratory infection, and they are not tame at all and I cannot get them into their carrier.
