Need advice6h agoI noticed a Scottish Fold cat hanging around a chicken and chips shop back in August. Didn't think much of it, asked the shop owners and they said it looks like it doesn't have a home. I assumed someone else might take it in. Went back to the chicken and chip shop this weekend. Cats still there after many months. Scruffy and dirty, smelly, limping and oddly quiet. The shop owners had been feeding him and keeping an eye on him, but weren't in a position to do much else. They said they can't take it home since they have kids (the cat hates kids). I don't have any, and asked if I could take it in to check it's microchip and give it a temp warm, dry place to s... Eczema Q&A: Unhinged itch relief8h ago[Submit your question](https://mytorial.com/r/ask) **Question:** _Hey guys, i’ve suffered from eczema since I was a newborn lol, and recently i’ve found some super helpful products (specifically Gold Bond medicated anti itch lotions and powders) for my body, and between that, and the tea tree/witch hazel mixture I make, I very rarely need to use my steroid cream anymore. The one thing that will not let up, however, is my scalp eczema😭 I have tried literally everything I can think of, medicated shampoos/conditioners, mentholated scalp sprays/treatments, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, vicks, etc. to name a few, and i’m out of ideas. The only thing that ever gets rid o... The only thing that ever gets rid of it is when I bleach my hair, and that only lasts a few weeks :(( ... Cheap cage for 21d agoWe got given two guinea pigs but the cage they're in is nowhere near big enough (it came from pets at home if that says enough), my parents think the cage is good so they won't buy a new one. I won't get a job until summer, I currently have a budget of 20 pounds and was wondering if theres any decent cage or materials for a cage around that price?? I could try to get more money through selling clothes if needed! Why Every Pet Parent Should Keep Pure CBD Oil for Pets at Home2d agoI built HelpBark - profiles, community, and QR tags for dogs. Looking for cofounder too.2d agoHelpBark is a community platform where dogs get their own profiles - whether they're pampered pets at home or street dogs you feed every morning. I built this after a lot of efforts and carefully chose tech stacks and integrations with scalability in mind. **What you can do in Helpbark:** \* Create rich dog profiles with photos, health records, vaccinations \* Share updates, milestones, and stories to a community feed \* Connect with dog lovers in your area \* Find trusted pet services (walkers, sitters, groomers, vets) \* Get a unique QR code for your dog's collar - if lost, anyone can scan it and reach you We're early stage and would genuinely appreciate feedback fro... Any pets at home discounts?2d agoI’m a bit broke and wanna upgrade my tank haha cheers! Update on tank2d agoHi everyone, i uploaded a pic and text yesterday about if my tank was okay for a gold fish and you guys told me it wasnt, which i understand now! You also told me to get live plants which i did from a real fish/aquatic shop and a heater (not pets at home lol). Is this enough/to little stuff in my tank? its 56 litre and im waiting for it to “cycle” for a few weeks :) im going to be getting a betta fish once everythings settled and just want to know if the layout/amount is all good (also got sand instead of the gravel pebble things i had) - will be getting a new table soon too!! any advice/tips would be appreciated thank youuuu!! Hairloss3d agoHi, I’m a 20-year-old woman. I’ve been vegan for the past 4 years, after being vegetarian for 11 years before that. Before going vegan, my hair was very full and thick. Since then, it has gradually become thinner, and now it’s really noticeable especially in the crown area. I take supplements, including iron, and I recently did blood work. Everything came back normal. My mom has very thin hair, but she believes this is happening because I’m vegan, since my hair was so full growing up. I’ve also been in the military for almost two years and will finish my service in about two months. It’s been a very stressful period, even though parts of it were also some of the best times of ... Fine scratches on the body, similar to cat claw marks. What could they be?3d agoI think many people have experienced the phenomenon of fine scratches all over the body that you suddenly notice in the middle of the day. It seems that most of them appear after sleep. Of course, some of them can be attributed to accidental scratches from your own nails. But honestly, I have short, normal nails, and the scratches are similar to a cat's - quite long, spongy, and very fine. The locations of the scratches on the body also vary greatly - arms, torso, legs, sometimes even the face, but rarely. A question for Redditors: have you encountered this phenomenon yourself? What do you think? Oh, I forgot to mention: there are no pets at home. Sometimes I sleep alone, sometimes not... It's never been this hard.4d agoAll my pet deaths have been hard, but I always had other pets at home to care for. This time, there's no one. This time, I'm old and alone. No one sees me anymore. I can't get any more pets. (Please don't bring up fostering.) It's unbearable. Finding bladder snails (uk newb)4d agoHey all got a real basic walstad tank going through the initial cycling process. Complete beginner at this but trying to learn as I go. Using YouTube videos, this sub and chat gpt (I know) as guidance - I’m looking to add a bladder snail to my 6.5 litre jar. I’m struggling to find anywhere that sells singles, I’m Cardiff based and pets at home only had the fancy ones. Chat gpt advised to only add one due to the size of my jar, and then two shrimps but happy to hear anyone’s else take before I start playing with wildlife. But yeah, **any recommendations of where I can find a single bladder snail to buy would be appreciated.** Pic of jar attached for any other advice, been runn... Any great dog ear wipes brands in the UK?5d agoMy labrador retriever has been getting gunky ears lately, probably all the rain we’ve had. Took him to the vet in Reading last month and they said its nothing serious but I should be cleaning them more regularly. Been using some cheap ones from Pets at Home but they dont seem to do much and leave his ears still looking a bit manky. Anyone found a brand that actually works well? Happy to order online or pick up locally if theres a decent pet shop. Recommendations for chinchilla wooden hides and toys5d agoI'm in UK not really on a budget but looking for affordability, happy to pay more for something that will last wanting something like a wooden hay net or just some enrichment toys that will keep them entertained for hours. I **** pets at home stuff so anywhere other than that. I've looked in my local pet shops and there not really chinchilla friendly Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
