(Nearly) Full English Breakfast from popular sausages roll dispenser chain.

2d ago

They said if couldn't be done. They used words like "no", and "*****", and "I don't care", but I proved them wrong. I managed to get a sort of full English out of Greggs. Yes, there are no mushrooms, black pudding or the presence of anything fried, but I am taking this as a win. Photo taken on nearby bench as I was too embarrassed to let the customers and staff see that this is what I decided to do with my morning.

Picked one up this morning in King’s Cross, was only £3.20. Delicious too. Quorn sausage but honestly, really tasty. Well done Greggs

If Elis and John had to present one modern radio show together in 2026, which would be the funniest disaster?

13d ago

Imagine them taking over any current BBC 5 Live or Radio 2 slot for a day. I reckon Breakfast with Greg James would be carnage. Elis trying to do the serious news bits while John interrupts or they get the drivetime slot and spend 40 minutes debating whether Greggs sausage rolls are better hot or cold. Which existing show do you think would collapse fastest if they were in charge? Or is there a podcast they could guest host that would break the internet?

Anyone else's managers being absolute pains recently? (rant)

I work as a sandwich maker the busiest shop in my city. We're a pretty big shop as well and spread over three floors, with our own separate sandwich room as well. For context, we're usually two sandwich makers working the shift most days, with one being put on the shop floor after a few hours. We also make 250+ sandwiches on weekdays, and over 300 most weekends/busy days. Since just before Christmas though, our area manager has somehow gotten the idea that we're being "too slow" and has been making us time ourselves. She's now pushing to cut down our shifts and have just the one sandwich maker make 250+ sandwiches in 5-6 hours. If this seems doable, bear in mi...

Extreme weather help for those in need. There are a number of places that are offering now extended hours/shelters.

23d ago

If you know anyone that could benefit from this, whether they are currently homeless, potentially homeless, or whatever, please pass this on/share it however, you wanna do it. There are a number of places that are offering now extended hours and also shelters as well have adjusted their normal operating hours/procedures to help. It is quite literally deathly cold outside, so just wanted to put this on here so those that need it or those that know others that may need it, can be aware of their options. It’s not listed on here for whatever reason, but there is also a place called Hope Faith homeless campus/ministries that is providing overnight shelter for both women and men.

Tesco One week‘s brunch for myself £17.5

23d ago

This is my first time trying to make breakfast myself. Normally I just buy one cup of coffee and a bread roll from Greggs everyday as my breakfast. But I found this is costly because it is really easy to be hungry after 1pm and I have to buy some snacks for the day. Is this enough for one person to deal with one week’s breakfast?

Is there any hope?!

What am I going to do?! I couldn't make it to Greggs this morning.

Good Service Hamilton Quarry Street

25d ago

Hiya. I've recently been coming to Hamilton now on a regular basis due to my involvement with a local community project. When I arrive in town I have a bit of a tight turn around to get there on time. I order ahead for a click and collect on the app. The staff are brilliant and have started to recognise me as a Monday regular. I order on the app as my usual order of the vegan sausage roll that you usually pick up from the hot hold is never there. If I order ahead I know I'm guaranteed one to be made up specially for me. The shop does explain they don't sell enough to always have stock in the hot hold. If the hot hold always had a vegan breakfast sausage roll I wouldn&#...

Greggs order refund.

26d ago

The other day we had a customer come in for a collection they had ordered through the app. They had ordered a breakfast deal. We filled it out and handed it to them and they walked off. All seemed grand in that moment. They then come back a few minutes later to complain because we had substitute some sausage instead of bacon because it the point of the morning where we were gearing up stop serving breakfast. Naturally we can't prepare the hot items in an order until the customers or delivery driver arrive in the shop. We explained to them about the substitute and they went on to ask for a refund because they didn't like greggs sausages. Even though they are no different to saus...

Before we get started, a quick belated happy birthday shout out to long time reader Tom in Detroit, Michigan, who turned 90 years young last Monday. Happy birthday Tom, it won't be long now until the lovely and enchanting Mrs. Tom (Shirley) is pushing you around in a wheelchair and spoon feeding you breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ok, seriously….happy birthday….there’s no way I make it even remotely close to 90. **Fair Grounds** **Race: 10 (5:30 PM EST)** **Silverbulletday Stakes** **1) Atropa** is a good looking, $450,000 daughter of Into Mischief who rallied from 11 lengths back to miss by half a length vs much tougher last time out. Greggs breakfast deal is still the best in the UK!

32d ago

Regular Breakfast Roll with Hot Drink at £3.40 and Double Breakfast Roll deals at £3.75. It’s been carrying me through rushed mornings for 3 years now and still feels like daylight robbery in the best way. Even with prices creeping up everywhere else, nothing else comes close for quick, hot, satisfying fuel that actually fills you up.

The best meal so far - NHS Fife

35d ago

I survived the yeeterus surgery! Total hysterectomy and cancerous cyst removal. I’m now 4 days post-surgery and finally eating solid food again. I dislike most soups so have spent three days surviving on yogurts and icecream which is fine, i’ve not had much of an appetite. ANYWAY after a mid breakfast and lunch, along comes supper with this absolute banger of a sausage roll which might take the title of the best hospital meal i’ve ever had. I’m probably vastly overselling it but it was nicely spiced, not greasy and hotter than the sun - vastly better than any greggs sausage roll. Wedges could have had a bit of spice but still tasty. the beans were good and thick too, but I couldn’t...

Making On Cinema Shirt

40d ago

Hello all! So my girlfriend got us tickets to the VFA tour in April of this year, and I can’t even believe it. I’m so excited that I decided to make a sure to try and give to Gregg Turkington while I’m there. Basically it’s hard to get only like 2 or 10 shirts made, most printing places have a minimum. So I wanted to reach out and see if anybody else would be interested in buying a shirt (if they even get made). The quote I got was for a minimum of 36 shirts to be printed. At $10 a shirt, and $25 per screens used in process. So around $410 with some tax added on top. I would price each shirt out so that i break even for the most part. Not really trying to make money off this, just ...

Short story - does the shift at the end work?

True Story by G. Isaac Bell Frankly, Gregg wasn't even a real writer. He'd tell you that himself, he'd say, “Oh, I'm no Stephen King. I just like to scribble a bit sometimes for fun, you know.” If it came up at all that is, his writing, and it usually didn't, for a couple reasons. Firstly, because most of what Gregg wrote was poetry; he knew that as a general rule poems were rarely of interest to anyone besides their author and didn't presume his own would be exceptions, though he liked a few of them quite well. (Sometimes at night he'd dare to think, maybe it was only the wrong time - all the celebrity poets had been dead for ages, even celebr...
