Here’s how to set them up so they work now **and** next year: **1. Keep the message reusable.** Skip dates and year-specific text. Instead of: * “Post-Holiday Declutter Pickup – Jan 2026 Only” Try: * “Post-Holiday Declutter & Donation Pickup – Call/Text \[number\]” That way, you can change the dates and details on your website or what you say when people call or text, but you don’t have to buy new signs every year. **2. Say what you t... Guys!!! Thrift stores ?!!6h agoDo y'all know any thrift stores apart from "Shop thrd" jaha cheap clothes mile? Where can I find second-hand cowboy boots in Toronto?9h agoHey everyone, I’m looking for second-hand or used cowboy boots in Toronto or the GTA. Do you know any good thrift stores, vintage shops, consignment places, or local markets where I might find some? I’m not looking for anything super expensive, just decent boots with a western vibe. Any recommendations or specific stores to check out would be really helpful. Thanks! Where do you go in Thunder Bay if you want to buy records in person?9h agoDoes anyone have a list of places in Thunder Bay to look for records? I know Sunrise in the mall, but that’s the only obvious one I can think of. Are there any smaller shops, secondhand spots, or thrift stores that are actually worth checking out? Feels like there have to be a few hidden gems I’m missing. Who else collects Turkey Plates?10h agoI love finding vintage pieces like this at antique shops, flea markets, or thrift stores to use for their holiday decor or to collect as heirlooms. Also sometimes Home Goods and Marshalls have some cute ones! What was your most unexpected find in a charity shop or thrift store?10h agoI've got two albums in my collection that I think are real gems from some local charity shops. The first is "Vespertine" by Björk. I'm a little surprised she's there, because UK charity shops usually have 90s boy bands, some classical music, and if you're really lucky, maybe an early Coldplay album! The next one is "Takk..." by Sigur Rós. When I saw this album, I honestly didn't think it was a CD at first. I actually thought it was an ancient hardback book or something. When I found out it was a Sigur Rós album, it totally shocked me! I've never listened to post-rock music before, and I definitely didn't expect to find one in a chari... Drop shippers & bulk resell12h agoCan Depop please ban sellers from the above & whatever else similar ⁉️ The entire point of purchasing through the app is to keep things more sustainable. It’s basically the only place I shop for clothes other than a few other in- person thrift stores, excluding intimates. Obv a different, not so different complaint but - It’s so frustrating, I received a parcel the other day > the listing had no brand specified, only a description of the garment - (I usually ask, but didn’t, as her page had a lot of vintage clothing & other brands) low & behold, I look at the care label to wash it & it’s SHEIN. One of the biggest sins to every kind. I un... Cheap Thrift Store for Clothes except 2nd Home13h ago*2nd Street Hello there, I love to shop clothes, am looking for affordable thrift stores around the Nagoya area. I'm familiar to 2nd Street's multiple branches. Any new recommendation is welcome! Thanks. Another one13h agoThey’ve clearly never stitched, but they’ve opened an Etsy shop selling SVGs and stitch guides so that needlepoint is “more accessible.” One of their selling points is that you don’t have to figure out basketweave, but then the stitch guides suggest a dozen other stitches. Aren’t they even harder than a basic basketweave when you’ve never put needle to canvas before? Shop open less than a week and they’re already making sales, though. I’m all for accessible needlepoint, eBay and thrift stores are totally my jam. I guess I feel like needlepoint is being marketed as a disposable hobby. Oh yeah, I tried that once, never finished the project, on to the next trend. It makes me... places to buy clothes15h agowhere to buy fashionable + affordable clothes in Singapore?? other than Uniqlo, cotton on, and H&M I don’t really see any other clothing stores in sg and sometimes the stores I mentioned are so pricy, just take jeans as an example. wym I have to pay more than $50 for a pair of normal looking jeans?? I’ve been to thrift stores too, but those aren’t really my style plus I prob won’t wear it. many people recommended me online shopping, but sometimes the quality isn’t the best. it’s also hard to find good pieces as well so can anyone recommend any clothing store or places to shop for clothes? context: I’m a petite female teenager Help with the shopping16h agoI am a female and i have to attend feiend wedding to attend. Can't spend much on clothes. Suggest a good & authentic preloved or thrift store Strategies for selling full time?1d agoPeople who make decent money off of depop, what are your strategies? Is it just hunting online/in thrift stores for items to flip? Sometimes vintage shops will sell huge bulk blind boxes, does buying in bulk actually help? What about display and marketing? I’m really curious as to how this works for top sellers. For context, I have been selling for three months now and I’ve made $900. It’s nice side hustle money but I’m unemployed at the moment and I have a lot of time to dedicate to turning this into something more substantial. So far I’ve mostly been selling my own closet, with some luck here and there flipping things from the thrift (I don’t know if that is controversial but ... 38F, $70.5k Salary, $600k NW - FIRE in ~9 years1d ago^((Alt acct to share my real numbers)) # Me * 38F, single * No kids, no dependents * Missouri (LCOL) * Admin job in an office, private employer # Progress * Been on roughly the same budget for almost 10 years * Could walk out full-time work in under 5 years (projected \~$975k) * Full FI in \~8–9 years (projected $1.5M) # Gross Salary / Wages * $70,500/year salary * Annual bonus varies (last two years were \~$8.5k) * Standard 3% raises # Annual Savings * 401(k): \~20% of salary (about $14k/year (plus employer match of \~4–5%)) * IRAs maxed (will adjust for 2026 new limits) * $408/month to Roth * $175/month to Traditional * Brokerage: \~$325/month, (\~$3,900/year) * HYSA: $50... Castenada (Part 32)1d ago*Dream-Talker Ritual, 1984, by Amaya Mitchell.* In high school I was spending more time at the movies than anywhere else. There was a six-plex out on West 11th called Movieland. I learned the ushers’ rounds and the sweet spot to slide into a row without getting the flashlight. The first movie I snuck into was *Alien*. I bought a showing for *The In-Laws* and ducked into the next auditorium when the trailers started. And let me tell you, I *loved* it. People were practically biting their nails. ****, I had to walk the length of the lot afterwards to collect myself. I knew at that point that I wanted to create something very similar and tell stories of my own. After that I started sneaking... What can I add to being frugal that I have not already done, or thought of?1d agoAside from looking in the subreddit for ideas, I'm looking to actively see what I can do to boost my frugality to continue increasing margin at the end of the month. There's lots of times I haven't thought of something that otherwise is absolutely brilliant. What I do now is listed below: \- Brew my own coffee at home on a Keurig \- Batch cook chicken breasts or thighs to get 3-4 days worth of food I can just pop in the microwave \- Use cold water always when washing clothes for electricity cost \- Purchase groceries and other necessities (only if on sale) at a wholesale club to have a months supply \- Use a filter pitcher for tap water to save on bottled water \- Shop... Silver finds!1d agoThis is most of the silver that I have collected since spring of 2024. I have found a good chunk at thrift stores. A couple pieces from Facebook marketplace. Most of the coins I bought from a local pawn shop that I get good deals as I am a frequent buyer. And a small chunk I got from Ebay. Most items I have bought for around the melt value (or face value). The jewlery I paid a decent price for. Most of it I paid under its resell value. For example the red coral necklace I paid $10CAD for. This isnt my full collection. I have other jewlery. Some rings and small thin chains. And a few more earrings. Probably another $300-$500 resell value worth. I have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Favorite Local Shops?1d agoThe holiday season is upon us again and while its not always possible to get all your gifts locally, it definitely has an oversized impact on the local community and the things that make Biddeford/Saco great. There's a lot of promotions going on even on main street on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and throughout the holiday season. Definitely take advantage of those promotions especially if you're feeling a budget crunch yourself. I mean let's get real, its not like the big box stores are a great deal anymore either. Here's a short list of local businesses and feel free to shout out your favorites below, especially if they provide something that the big box stor... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
