![]() Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Starbucks Coffee Latest Community Discussions About Starbucks CoffeeFavorite coffee shops (and why you love them)?2h agoGood riddance to the Starbucks on Ocean (and my apologies to the hardworking employees). We have so many great coffee shops in town. What are some of your favorites and why? I often find myself at a place with great outdoor seating: either of the 11th Hour locations or Cat & Cloud westside. I like the other Cat & Cloud locations (Aptos is beautiful if the fog clears a bit), but the fresh breakfast burrito at the westside location can't be beat. Verve easily has the best iced matcha latte, but since I stopped working downtown, I don't really go there anymore. Also don't love the ambience at any of their locations. I'd love to go back to the Abbey but I r... What is bitcoin and why is it the anti riba money - TLDR3h agoWhen Ken Griffin, Citadel CEO called Bitcoin a “financial jihad” I think no one got more confused by that statement than muslims! There is some good literature out there on bitcoin that could help understand and relate to what Griffin thought was an insult (‘Bitcoin Standard’ by Saifedean Ammous, ‘The anti riba money’ by the muslim bitcoiner, and ‘Broken money’ by Lyn Alden) For those that dont have the time to read all that, i wanted to write a very short summary on what bitcoin is and why people say it is the anti riba money - and hopefully agree for once with Ken Griffin 😂 **What is money.** before defining bitcoin, let’s define money. money is a medium o... What TH is up with Wheaton, Glenmont, Twinbrook & Aspen Hill?4h agoReally I don't think there is a safer & better area in the country right now to live in than in this region, but it seems like this area is marked as "off limits" by many businesses that set up elsewhere frequently... There are no modern gas station/convenience stores like WaWa, Buckee's, or Royal Farms... No 24/7 Diners like Waffle House, or novelty (less expensive) restaurants like Cracker Barrel, Very few "destination" restaurants, No great Jamaican, Ramen, Pho, & Sushi spots, Very few new drive throughs... The area is dominated by old & overpriced Exxon, BP, & Shell gas stations for some strange reason, and most of them are... Any date ideas?5h agoSo after years of married life, I find myself in need of date ideas again. I used to have a stock set of places or things to do I could pull on as needed but sadly a lot of them are gone or changed now. I'm also in Milwaukie versus NE which makes things more complicated. I can recommend Genie's (by OMSI) as a breakfast place, but I need a go to coffee option that is comfy like how Starbucks used to be. I could also use some nice dinner locations. Thanks! Starbucks coffee at BJ5h agoI bought the, I think Cafe Verona, Starbucks brand at BJ's. Cafe Verona at Starbucks (I have asked at times which dark roast they used that day) is heavenly delicious. Much of the coffee I make at home is fantastic, even Folgers, I use a french press and dont over burn the water. Anyway the BJ's purchased Cafe Verona was awful. Ok there are certain factors that can affect coffee taste. The whole bag was awful. Got to be a fluke, so a few months later now bought another bag. Its awful again. I dont expect it to be Starbucks brick and mortar level good but this is odd. Anyone else find this to be the case? London Trip fitcheck (Trip still ongoing lol.)5h agoI need to be exact lol so here it is. The Overcoat is Zara, Belt is Shein, Shirt and Trousers are H&M, Watch is Seiko, coffee Starbucks lol. Quietest coffee shops in St. Petersburg for work / interviews????6h agoHello. Looking for recommendations on St. Pete coffee shops that are quieter than others. I need a place where I can meet and talk with someone I'm interviewing for work. Background music is okay, but it can't be blasting like Bandit or the southside Kawah. Coffee and people noises are expected, but the place can't be a giant echo chamber where every noise is amplified like crazy like the Starbucks on 34th. (Can you tell that I've tried a few.) Also, it doesn't HAVE to be a coffee shop specifically, but that would be good. question for brewista's6h agotl;dr : do you work with a lot of chemicals, do you make enough to cover half of basic rent and things, and is medical insurance offered to employees? hi, i currently work at starbucks but i've been having a bad reaction to the sanitizer we use for months now. i only just got approved for insurance, so i can see a dermatologist to hopefully alleviate the symptoms, but i have a feeling i wont ever be 100% better as long as i work at starbucks. so ive been thinking of my other options, and there's a 7brew just a block away from my apartment. anyways, do you work with a lot of chemicals at your job? obviously i expect the basic stuff to keep things clean. but at starbucks i feel li... Night café/library6h agoHello, in my country of origin, we had starbucks open 24/7 where we could sit and study or work in quiet. I noticed here, maybe in France in general, coffee shops close at 8pm or turn into bars. Are there any quiet places one could go to to study or work? Not necessarily open after midnight, but at least till 11 or midnight Starbucks to layoff hundreds of WA employees9h ago***There will be 369 employees that will be laid off permanently by or on Dec. 5, 2025.*** ***Stores in the Seattle-based coffee giant's hometown have already seen a slew of closures in recent months, including shuttering the beloved Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. The location unionized in 2022, though the company said this did not impact their decision.*** Cup a Joe9h agoMaxwell House coffee was renamed to Maxwell “Apartment” and Starbucks is closing 400+ stores. Best watch for timing espresso?11h agoI have been noticing that my freshly roasted beans from Starbucks are tasting a bit acrid, and I can't help but blame my Platinum Rolex Daytona for perhaps not keeping accurate timekeepingfor my shots. I was thinking about going towards something with a stronger heritage in horology. I am thinking perhaps an AP Royal Oak Chronograph. The one I am looking at is about $225,000, but I want to project wealth and also great coffee. Patek is also an option, but I think Patek is kind of a poor man's AP. Thoughts? Starter Machine- Delonghi11h agoBest beginner machine that is bean to cup. Looking at Delonghi. Bonus points for Amazon prime deals! I love a good Starbucks latte, hubby loves 1 good cup of drip coffee a day. I would love options for cappuccino. Under 1000$ preferred. We are currently tutoring a kid which we try to convert to commodities trader (no, not glencore or trafigura ;)), and so far so good.
