Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Starbucks Coffee Latest Community Discussions About Starbucks CoffeeJust wanted a little sweet treat2h agoPrebolused and everything, got a little Starbucks (chai tea and coffee cake) 😭 Help me by talking it out…is flexibility more important than stability?2h agoIt’s been an exhausting year. A year ago, I quit my high paying, full benefits job because I keep miscarrying from all the stress. When I got pregnant again, I took a part time position at Starbucks for the health insurance and landed a few 1099 gig for extra funds. Apart from a part time preschool for our 4 year old, we have no childcare. We coordinate between me and husband, and our village of neighbors, a nephew and a few friends. I had to go back to work 3 days postpartum for my contract work because husband is financially worse off than he initially let on. I love my contract work as a consultant, however they just let a few people go last week because lack of contracts and work, ... Best coffee & best barista job / Peninsula3h agoI’m looking for a barista job for the first time and wondering if anyone here has a favorite place with 1) legitimately good coffee 2) good energy-positive vibes environment 3) good management/owner who cares 4) not Starbucks or big names. Preferably places in the Peninsula; South Bay is a close second. TIA! A CEO complaining abt interviewees caring4h agoIf it isn’t hard enough interviewing in this climate when CEOs start writing this it pisses me off. First of all you founders complain when people don’t care about your lousy *** company. By the way, employees don’t need to care the same way because it’s not their company. Then this drivel. Lack of empathy is shocking! Saw some posts too about her handing out coffee at Starbucks at Money 20/20 instead of shelling out and hosting a proper event like real companies. She’s cheap on top of being a jerk. Great combo! /s Is Google Ghosting Starbucks?4h agoI'm out of town on vacation and this morning searched on Maps for coffee. There were plenty of results but I noticed there were no Starbucks in the results, and I was sure there must be some locations around. Searching specifically for Starbucks produced a number of locations, all in close proximity to my location. Out of curiosity, I made a number of searches for various iterations of coffee: coffee near me, coffee house, etc. None of these searches included any Starbucks locations. The same behavior happens whether I am logged into my account, it searching when not logged into an account. This caused me to wonder if this behavior is intentional. I know in the past searching for c... Boots Is Actually Adventuring In Vancouver Again5h agoHe not only ate a chocolate truffle this morning, but he is also carrying a to go cup of coffee from Starbucks with him when he is not turning everything he touches into ice like a snow queen. Rocket was there with him. TTC/ Weird coffee taste5h agoI am day 21 of my cycle and 9dpo. Yesterday my coffee literally tasted like I was drinking poison. I make Folgers coffee every morning so nothing that I switched up. Today I went to get an iced latte from Starbucks, which I usually order, and I’m having a weird after taste. Could this possibly be an early pregnancy symptom? Six years ago I was a broke college student working the 5 AM drive-thru shift at Starbucks in Austin, Texas.5h agoOne Saturday I woke up late, was out of coffee at home, and instead of hitting my usual location, I drove 15 minutes out of my way to a different Starbucks… because there was a cute girl who worked there. While waiting for my iced coffee, some guy in a startup t-shirt noticed me staring at his logo and asked, “You into tech?” I laughed and said, “Yeah, I’m a CS student, but right now I’m just trying to pay rent pouring lattes.” He goes, “That’s perfect. We’re building logistics apps for truckers and need someone who gets both code and trucks. You free tomorrow?” Turns out he was the founder. I started part-time the next day while still wearing the green apron. Two years... Why Starbucks Holiday Cups Are One of the Smartest Marketing Plays Every Year5h agoStarbucks didn’t just release **six new holiday cup designs**. They launched a **seasonal marketing machine** that triggers emotion, repetition, social sharing, and brand loyalty—all before you even take the first sip. This isn’t about cups. It’s about **behavioral marketing at scale**. Here’s what’s *actually happening* behind the scenes. # Why Starbucks Holiday Cups Go Viral Every Single Year Starbucks doesn’t rely on: * Discounts * Aggressive advertising * Or product innovation They rely on: * Emotion * Ritual * Visual identity * Social signaling * Habit stacking The holiday cups signal: “Winter is here.” “Comfort season has started.” “Holiday ro... Should I take a job offer for Stabucks GM?6h agoI'm a 28f and currently a GM at a small drive-thru coffee chain. I make decent money and adore my team. Recently I was contacted on LinkedIn by a Starbucks recruiter to be a GM for them in Madison, WI. I have a lot of doubts about Starbucks but I'd love to hear from people that work for Starbucks what it's truly like and what to expect. 1. How does upper management treat the stores? Are they very involved? 2. What is GM life like at a Starbucks? 3. Is this a good company to work for or should I steer clear? 4. How is job stability? Could they fire me at any point? Are they known for that? 5. Anyone work for Starbucks in Madison, WI? What's the vibe? 6. What about un... Does the Starbucks strike/boycott apply to Canada/Ontario?7h agoI’d like to support the workers, but I’m unsure how the current strike/boycott works. I live in a neighbourhood that doesn’t have local coffee shops so I usually go to Starbucks to study, should I avoid doing that for now so as not to cross the picket line? Or does this only apply to certain locations? Any info is appreciated! Life in the Loop (since this keeps coming up)7h agoI live in the Theater District, between Daley Plaza & the Chicago Theater: the Loop is one of the most balanced parts of the city when it comes to living downtown; if you want the full River North scene, with people yelling for cabs and stumbling out of bars, it’s about a 10 minute walk. if you’d rather keep it low key, you can stay here, open your windows or walk around the neighborhood, still hear the city in the background without being in the party district! most of downtown connects through the Pedway, so when the weather’s brutal you can move around without going outside. transit is unmatched here: 24 hour CTA rail, the elevated bus platforms including express and jump... Use their name for your starbucks order.7h agoHi. As the title says, sometimes I go to starbucks and order my coffee under my mom's name. It does something to my heart hearing someone calling her sweet name out loud. I feel like I honour her memory and that she is still here taking coffee with me. Starbucks is opening an online store again Story of being brought into the United Club by a rando9h agoThis past weekend I was flying for work DEN-DSM, waiting at the terminal when I was approached by a small, excitable man. He had been sprinting from person to person in the terminal, and dollar bills were falling out of his pockets. They all seemed visibly disturbed by him, so I had hoped he wasn’t coming for me. But he ran up to me and asked, “Are you traveling alone? I am very lonely.” As a rule of thumb, I try not to engage with weirdos, especially at the airport, so I just nodded politely and looked out the window. But then he asked me if I wanted to “hit up the club,” like we’re in Miami. Well, free food is free food, so I did what I always do: pretended I didn’t speak En... A simple trick to get automatic cash back on gift cards for tons of stores (Food, Coffee, Clothes, etc.)10h agoHey folks, stumbled upon something that feels almost like a hack and wanted to share. I've been using this method for a couple of months to save a bit on my regular spending. The Gist: Always buy an e-gift card right before you pay at a ton of popular places. You get a small cashback kickback instantly. How it works: You're about to pay for lunch, coffee, or online shopping. Before paying, you quickly open Snaplii. That aggregates over 400 merchants. Search for the store you're literally standing in/about to order from. Buy an e-gift card for the amount you need. You'll instantly see a "reward" or cashback added to your account (usually 2-30%). Use... People love being judgy about decaf, it's ridiculous!10h agoAny time I mention that the coffee I'm drinking is decaf people just have to find a way to be smug assholes about it. "That's not real coffee!" It's infinitely realer that the Folgers **** you drink! "You're putting forever chemicals in your body" Oh like the terrifying and dangerous H2O! "It has no taste" Cause you're gonna be the expert on coffee taste with your Cookie Crumble lattes from Starbucks every day. "Why even bother, you get literally no benefit." Well Amanda I like the taste! And avoiding caffeine is it's own benefit. I keep my comments about my coworkers coffee consumption habits to myself, only being sn... Let’s start with some context. I’m a 28F, never married, no kids, fairly drama free aside from some past heartbreaks. I’ve been in the military for 10 years. My now ex is a 38M, also military, with two kids, an ex-wife, and an ex-fiancé. This will matter later. Ohhh does it matter. We’ll call him POS. Not an acronym. A lifestyle. We met at a training event. According to him it was love at first sight. Meanwhile I was out here minding my business trying to stay professional because military men inherently ****. But he pursued me for a month straight. He was charming, pres... He paid for my omelette (like $12), which I appreciated. Afterward, we walked around it started to rain, so I suggested we sit in Starbucks and, since he had paid for breakfast, I offered to cover the coffee. He asked me to order him the $9 Frappuccino for himself, and I paid for both our drinks. After I sat down with both our drinks, he pulled up his Starbucks account and casually showed me that he has over **7k stars**. From what I understand, that’s the equivalent of around 70 regular coffees or about 35 specialty drinks. I’m not mad that I paid because I did offer, but it felt a little tacky to let me pay when he had eno... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
