My dad loves venti Starbucks hot paper cups but now makes coffee at home. He literally goes to Starbucks occasionally just to get a cup and then puts his home brewed coffee in it, and reuses it till it disintegrates. Can somebody get me a sleeve of venti cups for a Christmas gift for him?

I asked ChatGPT whether it was still appropriate these days to sit in coffee shops for hours at a time to work… I followed up with whether or not Starbucks had a policy on seating. It did its thing, but at the end it went: Here are some LOCAL Starbucks in your area: It listed five. Three were within walking distance of my house — in three directions. I asked how it knew where I lived and proceeded to deny it. I even suggested that perhaps it deduced my location from other chats where I share details of my life, like the college I go to. This is definitely my own personal problem but the coffee at my parents house just isn’t my fav. I would rather go get some Starbucks in the morning because I’ll already be up, but also I don’t want to make someone have to work on Christmas. I know it’s not a big deal but I just want to be respectful.

Bought it on a whim. I had a Breville unit (forget the model, wasn’t cheap.) But it was so difficult to dial it in that I just stopped making espresso and went back to premixed Starbucks. Hoping this will make it easier. The breville was nice when dialed in, but it was just soooo inconsistent. I could use the same bean, exact weight. I don't work at Starbucks, so I might be out of the loop here -- The location by my parents house is making iced coffee differently than other locations and I'm not sure if this is what to expect going forward. This is the first location I've seen that has one of the big machines that brews coffee on demand (is this the Clover Vertica thing?). When we get iced coffee from there, they are taking hot coffee and pouring it over ice from that machine. I guess my question is, will this eventually be how all iced coffee is made at Starbucks? I just wanted to write to say why have they not stopped the whole writing on cups thing they recently implemented? It's so unsafe! The fumes from permanent markers are solvents that you SHOULD NOT put near your face! Also, most of the time when I touch the cup it blurs the writing anyway. Also, it's just plain HOKEY!
