I usually very seldom pulling espresso shots. I like em but I am not enjoying the process of dialing in espressos. But yesterday one of my coworker bring me a bag of these. I expect this to be starbucks type roast, ultra dark closer to charcoal than coffee beans I usually enjoy. Dunno why yesterday I am in a very good mood for pulling shots. Kind of new to fasting (have done IF a fair bit), currently been 24 hours without proper food however I have had quite a bit of coffee with milk in, (espresso + grass fed milk from my coffee machine) + stevia or maybe a small spoon of coconut sugar if I really want it. I do drink black coffee as well I just like a variety. I don't have stuff like the giant sugar loaded frappes they sell at Starbucks lmao. I somehow created a Coffee drink recipe that is easy and low in carbs and has zero sugar! GD Friendly coffee drink: -1/2 cup cold brew concentrate -1/2 cup water (Hot or cold) - Ice if you want a iced drink -2 tablespoons of heavy cream -2 teaspoons of sugar free syrup like toranis I made mine with Starbucks Dolce Caramel Cold Brew and Toranis vanilla sugar free syrup. ’ve had barista touch for around 3 years now. Once I got through the initial learning curve it pulled great tasting shots. But over the course of the last year or so the shots have progressively gotten worse in taste. I’ve spent countless hours researching and adjusting (grind size, bean type, distilled water, shot pull time etc) in hopes of figuring it out and nothing seems to take away the bitterness and/or sourness.
