So I have a bf where he use to get us food always but recently stoped paying because he’s low on money. I believe this is fine so usually now I pay which I don’t mind paying. I had a car inspection at auto-pro in Mankhool. After giving the car, went to the zoom to wait and have a coffee. There was very lovely Starbucks station set up there with a machine and cups and stuff. It was very prominent as soon as I entered, so I went towards that. This was AED 15 for a coffee. The lady at the counter came to help me since there was no one else in the store. I just had an interview at Starbucks, I currently work at McDonalds so I mentioned that. When I first came she brought out some coffee and wanted me to do a taste test. She asked me what it smelt like and the aroma just stuff like that. Then she started asking me questions like why I want to work there. I mentioned how I like the diversity and how I can see myself working here. She was just typing while I was answering her questions. Then she told me that they usually do 2 interviews and that she would call me on Monday if I make it for the 2nd interview. Is this a good sign?

Just to color my opinion here. I am an essential worker, I work as an ICU RN at a large hospital. We cannot close or slow down or change hours. I cannot get holidays off every year, but this year I managed to get Thanksgiving off. My girlfriend is a Starbucks partner and got scheduled for a full 8 hour shift so she can't do an early lunch or a late dinner. I think her manager is a self-centered twat for not working himself. Note: I don’t drink coffee and this will be a Christmas gift to my husband who basically just drinks cappuccinos. He loves Starbucks and I wouldn’t consider him a picky coffee person. This would be our first “fancy” coffee maker. Hey guys, I’m using a Cafelffe 3 in 1 coffee machine and so far the only beans that work well with it are Starbucks. I tried other beans from Shopee that were labeled fine, but they still came out too coarse. The coffee was light brown and almost tasteless. Now I want to buy an affordable grinder so I can grind my own beans super fine. I’m considering the Simplus Electric Grinder and the Lahome Long Life. Has anyone tried them? Can they grind fine enough for a machine like this? If not, what affordable grinder would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
