Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Starbucks Coffee Latest Community Discussions About Starbucks CoffeeHusband insists our dinner made him and our daughter sick, but I’m fine — am I missing something?2h agoLast night my husband, our 8-year-old daughter, and I all ate the exact same dinner. It was one of those frozen PF Chang’s meals that you heat up, plus a bag of frozen green beans and some white rice we cooked in the rice cooker. We all ate together around 6–7 PM. The only difference in what any of us consumed that day was that I got a chai tea from Starbucks, our daughter got a coffee-flavored drink, and my husband got a plain coffee. Around 1 AM, our daughter woke up and vomited all over her floor. We cleaned everything up and got her settled again. Then around 3 AM, my husband got up to pee and suddenly threw up once at the toilet. He’s convinced the rice was “bad” and that... Followed up on an application today - Position closed right after3h agoSo the title pretty much explains it, but here's the story: I applied to be a Baker at a "pretty big Starbucks" near me through the Careers website exactly 2 weeks ago, and was following the "How to Get Hired at Starbucks" guide post that was posted on here 5 months ago. For experience, I have two years of Culinary from high school (went to a vocational high school), and I've worked at Panera as a Shift Lead (did plenty of baking here for catering orders), and I've worked as a Barista at both there and at a mid-level coffee chain. I went in person today after waiting the two weeks (I had applied on a Sunday) recommended by the guide, and had attempted to... Starbucks just sold off 60% ownership of it's China brand to a China company.4h agoMight not sound like much but that was over 8,000 locations. That's equal to almost half of the locations in the US (17,000) and 20% of their world wide locations (40,000). The Chinese company plans to open over 40,000 more locations in China in just the next few years more stores locations then the rest of the world combined. My guess is we will also see Starbucks quality drop even more as they replicate what China does in their coffee wars currently going on and bring these changes to North America, the EU, etc. George and a cashier at Starbucks face-off over a tipping snafu.4h agoEXT. STARBUCKS DRIVE-THRU -- DAY \[GEORGE pulls his car around to purchase his coffee. He speaks to a blue-haired, angsty CASHIER.\] CASHIER Alright. That'll be six twenty-four. GEORGE How much? (then, acquiescing) Fine. \[GEORGE fishes out a credit card. The CASHIER pulls out one of those credit card e-readers.\] CASHIER Alright. Now select a choice on the touch-screen. GEORGE reads the options on the touch-screen for a beat, but doesn't find what he's looking for. GEORGE Hmmm... CASHIER Is there something wrong? GEORGE I'm seeing ten percent ... fifteen percent ... *twenty* percent-- geez! Is there, like, a *zero*\-percent option? CASHIER You're ... Best spot for coffee that's NOT a Starbucks?4h agoBeen working from home in Oakville for a few months now and I'm getting tired of my own coffee. Looking for a good local spot to camp out with my laptop for a few hours, preferably somewhere with decent wifi and outlets. I've been to Tavolo before and it's alright, but curious what other places people recommend. Ideally somewhere in the downtown area but open to suggestions anywhere in Oakville. What's your go-to? Day 1 on 7.5mg4h agoSo yesterday I took my first dose of 7.5mg. Wow. I have no appetite whatsoever. All I’ve had today is a large black coffee from Starbucks. I was on 2.5mg for 2 months, 1 month on 5mg. I’m hoping this suppression continues over the next weeks/months. My doctor wants me to stay on 7.5 for the next 3 months. Hopefully my weight-loss stall breaks in this dose. I’m so intrigued as to how people are responding so differently at each dose/duration. Would it be inappropriate to send a holiday gift basket to pharmacy staff o6h agoWould it be appropriate to give the pharmacy team a shared group gift? Something like an Edible Arrangements basket, crumbl cookies or Starbucks coffee for their break room? Do they have a pharmacy break room? Obviously whatever I buy will be purchased online then delivered through a third party...I understand that pharmacists and technicians may have ethical guidelines that prevent them from accepting individual gifts or gift cards, so I can't slip my pharmacist a few hundred bucks or anything :) jk I’m hoping that a shared, consumable gift wouldn’t create any ethical concerns or just seem really weird coming from a customer? I couldn't find this question or another subredd... My life is actually so much better with more carbs in it6h agoI don't know why I was fooled into believing that lower carbs is better. I binged on honey last night (dont know if I can really justify using the word binge bc it was only like 500 calories worth, and a true binge for me is at least 4x that). Literally just honey. And I actually feel better this morning. Like I've known that your brain runs on glucose but I guess everyone just stresses the importance of healthy fats and protein for PCOS so much that I thought I didn't need as much carbs. I don't even have high glucose (fasting is ususlly around 80) or insulin (6) 9r A1C (5.1) so I don't think I should be avoiding them as much as I have. I swear I drink a sugary coff... Police would not let me report a theft!8h agoThis morning I had an expensive cashmere scarf stolen at the Starbucks at The Mall. I went to the police station (the 7th) in the afternoon to report the theft and to ask that they look at the CCTV cameras at the coffee shop. After finally finding someone who spoke English, he (and investigator, allegedly) spent 20 minutes trying to convince me not to report, explaining how I would need to come back to Bulgaria to testify, as well as my colleague who was a witness. I asked why do they need my testimony in person when they have a video? In any case, he said that if I ever travel to Bulgaria ever again, I would be stopped at the airport and made to go back to testify. Eventually I said, ok, fi... my gf will take the aug 2026 boards and i need help8h agohi! this is my first time posting this on reddit (lol) and im not really sure if this is allowed but i’d like to seek advice on how i can support/help my girlfriend prepare for her boards. for context we are a wlw couple (if this would affect anything really) with the recently announced schedule, she was visibly stressed and overwhelmed. definitely it was something that we all weren’t expecting. i come from the field of social sciences, and so preparation for board exams are definitely not my forte. should i buy her things — what materials does she need? should i buy her books or review booklets? she loves coffee — would buying her starbucks gift cards help or will fixation on caf... Starbucks coffee order calories?9h agoDoes anyone know how many calories would be in this drink from Starbucks? The regular iced shaken espresso is 100 calories but I’ve modified it and can’t figure out how many calories this would be. NYC, Seattle socialist mayors-elect take part in anti-Israel strike against Starbucks9h ago# “Socialists tend to be very hostile to Jews,” Morton Klein, national president of the Zionist Organization of America, told JNS. [Starbucks Coffee store. The protest pickets what the organizer, Starbucks Workers United, calls unfair labor practices and has said is in [solidarity](https://x.com/SBWorkersUnited/status/1966911285255442567) with Palestinians... Residents of Newport, what's with the amount of people in the area that take up a spot in coffee shops but don'...9h agoI now realize why that restaurant spot across from Starbucks has turned over twenty times. Sitting in a coffee shop in the Newport area and there's 4-5 people on their laptops who came in and haven't bothered to make a purchase. How are these businesses suppose to survive? Checks are walking out the door because people seem to think this is their home. How would you explain labor strikes to a conservative-raised person who has mostly been self-employed?10h agoUsually when I ask questions about striking, I get responses about scabs and picket lines and that just doesn't mean anything to me. I know some of the history but my question is more about the modern context. Starbucks might be a good example. It's not hard to find new people who can serve coffee. So if employees are striking, why don't they just get fired and SB finds new employees? Or, if the employees are truly undervalued, why not just start a new coffee shop and run it as they please? Those employees want the risk to be taken by someone else but want more reward, right? Further, why am I supposed to not get coffee from SB if there's a strike? The employees have be... Live Aqua Cancun Question10h agoI was watching a review and they mentioned there is a starbucks on site. Is Starbucks coffee the only coffee they have? I can't drink Starbucks, it makes me feel sick. I am curious if I can get other coffee at breakfast or by room service? Live Aqua has been on my radar. Looking to shop local for teacher appreciation gifts?11h agoHi all - I am looking to build some teacher appreciation gift baskets and I know what I want in them, but not WHERE I can buy the stuff. Would prefer to shop local if possible. Can anyone recommend good places to go to for these items? Ideally we'd want to get them as individually wrapped if it's food and if not food in a mini-version. * Chocolate bars or truffles * Peppermint bark or nut brittle * Holiday tea or hot chocolate tins * Self care items (lip balm, fuzzy socks, hand lotion, candles) * Some nice individually wrapped pastry * Gourmet popcorn (in small bag - not looking giant bag) * Dried fruit packs * Nut mixes * Super tiny wine bottles * $5 gift card to some local coffe... Is Nespresso worth it for coffee drinkers?12h agoI've been drinking coffee every morning for years, usually with a Keurig machine. Nespresso intrigued me because of the recyclable pods and the ability to make espresso lattes. So, I purchased a Nespresso Vertuo Next yesterday while they were on sale. All of the pods I bought are the "Mug" size and I did not realize until I was home and made my first coffee that this is only 230ml. That is the equivalent of a "Short" from Starbucks, which is hardly anything at all. Is there a reason why this is the typical size for their pods? I can't understand why more people aren't annoyed by this. I'm not blind to the fact that this is an espresso machine, but it... GRAB PABILI QUESTION13h agoPAANO NAG WWORK YUNG GRAB PABILI? SI RIDER BA MAGDEDECIDE HOW MUCH DELIVERY FEE? I was craving for coffee pero closed na sa grab yung starbucks, pero bukas sila until 12am so I tried using grab’s pabili. PHP 205 ang nilagay ko sa estimated price. At first, akala ko si rider ang mag dedecide ng fee? So messaged him muna, kasi baka mamaya mas mahal pa sa drink ko yung fee. Hindi kami nagkaintindihan kasi what he sent me is the receipt of the drink. Kaya sabi ko, antayin ko nalang sya makarating dito baka by then magpop up sa grab kung magkano lahat lahat. When he arrived, I asked him magkano lahat lahat and he was panicking through his phone and seems to not know how it works either. H... customers acting like idiots on purpose13h agopretty sure we all know the stereotype that starbucks is some convoluted confusing hellscape where everything has an exotic artisan name. like ive never been so i personally dont understand their sizing or what a frappuccino is but i know abt the whole stereotype. but i dont get why ppl will forcibly drag that stereotype into completely unrelated places ??? my coffee shop is in a supermarket, we have a pretty small drinks menu as our focus is on food. our biggest demographic is older ppl folks (theyre usually 40+ yrs old). p much every single shift some specific genre of man in his mid-40s will come in and order "a coffee" with an extremely ****** off and hostile demeanor. its sup... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
