Recently the pods have become so expensive and I wanted to explore alternatives. Have y’all had any success with buying reusable virtuo pods? I’ve read things online about it, both with pros and cons but wanted to hear more about y’all’s experiences. I typically buy the Starbucks pods at the grocery store because they have been generally cheaper and more accessible for me than the name brand nespresso pods. Because of sleep I made track of a lot of thing caffeine does and came across this metric. I know it’s not directly correlated to sleep but it was quite interesting for me to see. I keep seeing claims that caffeine reduces hunger and lowers calorie intake. For me, it seems to do the opposite. (I drink black unsweetened coffee so don’t jump to conclusions it’s some starbucks cappuccino grande drinks raising this 💀) On days when I drink more caffeine, I end up eating more food. Finally unboxed my Vertuo Plus to find it's missing the mug rest and power supply for the Aerocinno. It was hella cheap($38 with my discount) so I called Nespresso to try to order parts and the guy was incredibly unhelpful. I guess I'll have to return it. I think it might have been the display model but it's not marked as such so hopefully they'll let me exchange it. Still making an iced coffee real quick though. Plus I found the Starbucks Holiday blend pods for $7. Just frustrating. What's your favorite iced coffee pod?

Hello, I am new to the group and new to espresso brewing but I love milk drinks like cappuccinos and lattes (can't drink Starbucks stuff anymore). I have a gaggia magenta prestige for about 2 years. It works great and gives good cappuccinos. Recently I wanted to get a semi automatic like a breville bambino plus with miicoffee d54 coffee grinder (black Friday deals) (want to improve my coffee experience) Is this a downgrade ? Are super automatic more efficient with coffee bean usage ? I am trying to understand if there is significant improvement in cappuccinos from my gaggia magenta prestige machine if I switch to the above semi automatic setup?? I took a Starbucks pick up for $6 to the hospital. Like 1.5 miles. The woman put her room number in and I figured I'd at least be able to hand off to security. Hey, is there a way to mark chocolate curls as sold out? I ordered a Venti Peppermint Mocha with extra curls (I rarely get Starbucks other than PM). I stand in the lobby and wait for it to be made(only one other customer there, not busy). They don’t bother telling me they are out of curls until they put the drink on the pass.
