I know this might not be the right time… but also… maybe it IS 😭💔 Like… are we supposed to stop being girls just because the world is falling apart? 💣💅 Nope. We still deserve to glow ✨ So pls help a girl out 🙏💖 Drop your BEST recommendations for: 👀 Eye cream (dark circles + fine lines) 🧴 Moisturizer (hydrating + glow) 🌙 Retinol (beginner friendly pls 😭) 🍊 Vitamin C serum (brightening ✨) 💧 Hyaluronic acid (hydration queen) 🧪 Peeling / exfoliation (not too harsh!) 🧖‍♀️ Toner 🦢 Neck cream (anti-aging vibes 💅) Preferably stuff I can find at Sephora or pharmacies 🙏💄 I want products that actually WORK not just TikT...

My Jan-March empties

Oh boy! So happy to finally see this. Here’s a mini review for each product: -Summer Fridays Mineral Milk Sunscreen: My holy grail, hands down. I’ve been using it for three and a half years and keep coming back to it after trying other sunscreens. Just be cautious if you’re allergic to niacinamide. -Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream: The only cream that calmed my dry body skin. I’ve already repurchased it. -Fresh Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence: Lovely texture with a faint rosy scent. It was a nice morning step, but I won’t repurchase—it didn’t do much long-term, it’s pricey, and I’d like to try Korean toners and essences instead. -Laneige Cream Skin Toner: Nice texture and...

Perioral Dermatitis sufferers or those who struggle with actives - what are the best products you've used for aging...

Hi all, I'm 39 years old, 1 year postpartum, and my skin is dry like an autumn leaf 🍁 Essentially, I've run out of every bottle, used every free sample and now have ZERO skincare left - I desperately need to buy more, but am ready for a routine refresh and completely overwhelmed with what to buy. I have suffered with Perioral Dermatitis for years (although my skin was lovely while I was pregnant!) and haven't had much luck with any kind of active, they really seems to flare my PD. Overall I have very delicate, sensitive skin prone to lots of texture reactions to products. I am now seeing lots of fine lines, and alot of crepey-ness in my neck 🦃 Because of the above, I&...

A lippie girl review

10d ago

I'm a lippie girl. I'm also 45. I live in Canada. Since I have had a pencil case in school, I've carried a lip balm (then a few more!). I've always loved lip balms and I have a lot of lippies in general. I love everything about lippies. The mood changing effect, the feel, the look, the scent and hopefully the taste. It's just something I feel like has always brought me joy. Sure, it may not be a hobby, but it brings me some happiness and hey, what's another $7 tube (so I tell myself😆). I own a LOT of lippies so here are my best, better, bestest and a little worst of (with no formatting because I am old and don't know how to do that). Best fla...

Things I would want young girls to know:- Physical Appearance

25d ago

I’m back again with more tips that nobody asked for. I apologize, but I currently have a lot of free time while trying to move on from my satanic ex 🪦. Earlier I shared a post about things I wish young girls had known earlier in life. Someone asked me to share glow up tips. Many people say I had a huge glow up compared to my undergrad years, so I thought maybe I’m somewhat qualified to talk about what helped me. **Disclaimer: I genuinely dislike the word glow up. It almost feels insulting. What do you mean I had a glow up? I am literally the same person. Unfortunately, many things that contribute to what people call a “glow up” involve spending some amount of money** I am also ...

Searching for sunscreen and lip balm recs

26d ago

Hi, I am not very familiar with skincare and I am searching for a good face sunscreen and lip balm with spf protection. I have very reactive skin and a sun allergy and don’t experiment with products often. Normally, I use Vichy (for my body) and La Roche Posay Anthelios fluid for my face, but I feel like the formula has been changed and I don’t like the texture anymore, it also leaves like a yellowish residue. Can you recommend me a good sunscreen for my face and a lip balm for my lips with spf as well? So far I have only tried labello spf - the only option in the store nearest to me, and I don’t like how dry it feels. I live in Europe (Germany specifically) and would prefer somethin...

Hair-loss, Split ends and dry hair

27d ago

I need help with my hair! (30f) Ever since Covid I’ve been losing a lot of hair. I’ve gone to dermatologist and other doctors and they haven’t ever given me real answers or advice. So I felt like it was stress related. And hormonal since I was also dealing with bad acne. It got really bad. So bad I couldn’t leave the house some times because I literally felt like people could see my scalp. I’ve tried tonics, rosemary sprays and oils, pumpkin seed oil, castor oil, nutrafol, other types of sprays and vitamins too. I feel like the nutrafol helped but once I started to forget taking it after several weeks I began to notice the scalp a lot more. I have naturally very oily hair. So ...

Streak 1082 : Une nouvelle pharmacie

29d ago

Drugstores in Crete?

30d ago

I’ve been to Chania and most of Western Crete and I have no idea where to buy makeup other than Sephora and the pharmacies. I know I can get some pretty old and basic drugstore brands like Maybelline in grocery stores but is there like a specific drugstore (chain) in Crete at all? Where do the local girlies buy makeup?

Best Websites to Buy European Drugstore Makeup Online in the USA

34d ago

I love Essence mascara and have been trying to branch out into other affordable European brands, but the selection on Amazon is pretty limited. I’d love recommendations for online retailers (kind of like Ulta or Sephora quality and reliability) that ship to the US and carry a wider range of European drugstore makeup and beauty. I’m especially after legit products and good variety. Some places worth checking out are sites that focus on European beauty products and ship to the States, like online European pharmacies and retailers with a big range of brands and categories. For example there are sites that are known for French pharmacy brands and other EU products that will deliver to the U...

Hello! Sebderm flare up

36d ago

I just moved from Peru to the USA a little bit more than a year ago and I’m having some issues finding the correct information and I’m struggling to manage my seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea here.. Like 4 years ago a dermatologist diagnosed me sebderm and rosacea back in my country and she used to give me some custom compounded prescriptions (formulas prepared specifically for my skin through a compounding pharmacy), and my skin was very stable for years. Since moving, it’s the first time that I experience a flare with: • Itching in my eyebrows and upper lip area • Scalp itching and increased oiliness • Facial redness • Burning sensation on my chin • Skin tightne...

Work trip this week in Paris

41d ago

Hi! I will be in Paris from tomorrow lunch until Thurs afternoon. It’s a work trip and I will be working from our Paris office during the day (office is next to Wagram station). I am staying right on the arc du triomphe. I have been to Paris a couple of times before so it’s not new to me. I love fashion (although not designer) and beauty so am looking for some cool places to go shopping after work aside from the obvious Sephora! Somewhere I can buy cheap French toiletries so French pharmacies suggestions welcomed! And maybe where I can buy some chocolate for my husband to take home. And also any suggestions for where I can go for dinner. Il be alone for these meals. I have a pr...

Where do you go for your makeup?

45d ago

Hey! I spent 30 minutes at Sephora yesterday and it was a sensory overload nightmare 😆 I'd like to get some new (more modern) makeup, as I've been wearing the same kind for 20 years 😂 I know some pharmacies in the city have much more brands of makeup, some good quality/ fancier. Where do you go? And do you happen to have a favorite cosmetician there? What's their name?

How do you deal with that one week a month…

48d ago

where your face/skin is like ‘okay, nah, like nóne of this works for me anymore’? I have my products (pretty classic mix of drug store, pharmacy and Sephora) and three weeks out the month I manage to look reasonable. I don’t keep up with things like contour or complicated looks, just less of a Shrek-looking bag of b!tch than without makeup. My hormones are still pretty regular, as far as I can tell, as in I don’t think (peri)menopauze has begun yet. So about three to five days a month my skin both turns into the Sahara desert (forehead, nose, chin) but under my chin the ‘regular’ black hairs seem to get stuck in inflamed pimples. Something which on the other weeks I can keep o...
