![]() Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Ross Store Latest Community Discussions About Ross Dress for LessIs it time for me to quit?18m agoOk so for some background info I am a teenager in high school. I work casual employment at a grocery store. I do not need my job, however it’s nice to have the extra spending money. We have recently gotten a new manager at our location, and he’s definitely different from the old one, that’s for sure. I have had issues with my work in the past, particularly the amount of hours they give me. I do not like working more than four shifts a week. I do not like working more than 5 hours on shifts that are next to each other. I have made these things clear to this new manager and to me it seems like he’s taking it as “oh, so she wants no LESS than four shifts! Dump all the hours on her!... I work at a grocery store that doesn't take cash (pt. 13)23m agoI tapped my fingers against the table, the soft rhythm filling the space between heartbeats. My thoughts spun fast, but I held onto the feeling—like I was circling something just out of reach. We didn’t need much. Just a crack in his focus. A sliver of time. Something that would draw his attention without setting off the alarm bells that lived behind his too-wide smile. I stared down at my coffee, watching the steam curl and dance, fragile and vanishing. Like a thought. Like a memory. Then it came to me. Sharp. Clean. Perfect. I looked up at Mabel, adrenaline rising like a tide under my skin. “You’re going to give him a memory,” I said, voice low, deliberate. She blinked. “... Thinking of selling my Fenix 7 pro27m agoMight not be the best place to post this, but I got a Fenix 7 pro several years ago and it's a super cool watch. Used it for tracking bike rides, roller skating, weightlifting, training loads, etc, and occasionally used the gps for the few times I went hiking in low coverage areas, or was driving around Maine (another low coverage area). I love the practicality of the watch, but in the past year I've been forgetting to "start activities" or I just use less and less features. I still have it cause of the GPS, but even then, I barely use that. Also...the connect iq store kinda *****.. I'm leaning on selling it, but I wanna hear other use cases first WIP: 2025 Offseason Review: San Francisco 49ers32m ago# San Francisco 49ers Division: NFC West # Coaching Changes Head Coach: Kyle Shanahan * To the surprise of absolutely no one, Kyle Shanahan was not fired. Offensive Coordinator: Empty -> Klay Kubiak * Klay enters his fifth year with the 49ers as their new offensive coordinator, consisting of a year as a defensive quality control coach, two years as the assistant QB coach, and one year as the offensive passing game specialist. His promotion ended up being delayed as Kyle Shanahan announced it during his end-of-season news conference, without completing the requirements to satisfy the Rooney Rule. They ended up having two seemingly superficial interviews with Junior Adams (former ... Parenting each other's kids33m agoMy(27m) wife(25F) have difficulties treating other kids evenly. We each have two kids. I have 2 daughters, one 10 and the other 8. My wife has a girl and boy which are 4 and 2 respectively. My wife also 8 months pregnant with what is our only child together. In the beginning of our relationship, I struggled heavily with parenting her kids and was mean to them and tried to rule them. I struggled with the act they weren't patented exactly like mine. My wife basically called me out on it and put me in a spot where she felt like she had to decide between her kids or me. So I put the effort in and now have a wonderful relationship with them. Before they couldn't stand me, now they are... [NY] UNPAID TRAINING PART TIME JOB AT TOUS LES JOURS39m agoCONTEXT: So last month I decided to work at a local bakery thinking it was a cute store and pretty close to my home as well. I was referred by a friend of my father’s and the boss was notified that I would be showing up later in the day. The time comes and I head to the store to ask if they were hiring anyone. They said yes and asked if I could work any shift, any time and my age. Everything seemed okay to them so they told me to come in tomorrow for training. They have me an apron and a cap and that began my 9 consecutive days in training. I trained as a cashier, memorizing all the bread, making drinks, serving customers, washing dishes, sweeping, cleaning, restocking, etc. PROBLEM: Aft... Ross was right with Pass n Play…41m agoIs it over between me (27f) and my bf (31m) due to menot being fully independent and still wanting to do things together...42m agoHi. I’m (27f) writing this because i feel so lost. My bf (31m) of almost five years does not like spending time with me. I believe I have become a liability to him. I don’t have a car (I cannot drive) and every weekend go over to his place. We live close by and my work is midway about ten minutes or less from his place. On the days I meet him he picks me up about ten minutes one way and I come stay over for the weekend. I leave on Monday morning myself in a cab but I think once a week he picks me up from work or my house (10-15 minutes depending on location). Apart from that on weekends I sometimes want to do things and try to plan with him. He eats out every meal and it’s mostly a few... Struggling with body image at a work event — and an unexpected comment just set me off45m agoI’ve had body image issues for a long time. Even when I was objectively thin, men would still make comments telling me to lose weight. That kind of thing sticks with you — it chipped away at my confidence for years. I’ve worked hard to overcome a lot of it, but I still have moments where the insecurities get loud, and today was one of those days. I’m currently at a professional work conference. I’ve been working hard on myself, mentally and physically — I’ve lost 20 pounds over the last few months and dropped a whole pant size. To celebrate, I bought a new skirt to wear to the conference. It felt like a reward and a little moment of confidence. Now, here’s the setup: our te... Reaching out to all dye or tie-dye experts. Need advise.51m agoI was looking for a yellow dress for Coldplay concert but could not find something that I liked, so picked up this white dress. See pictures attached for material and pattern. It is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. Can I tie dye it in yellow or shades of yellow and orange. Will it take colour? Any suggestions on the tie patterns? I've only done tie dye a couple of times on Tshirts at a university event. They turned out nice but faded after the first wash. And do I just buy the kit from a store or from Amazon? If you feel this is a bad idea and I will most likely ruin the dress - do say that. When did you stop chasing trends and start dressing for your real life?53m agoI used to think “stylish” meant keeping up with every new trend. I’d buy pieces because they were in magazines or on social media, only to realize they didn’t fit my life—like that pair of sky-high heels I could barely walk in, or the delicate blouse that got ruined the first time I wore it to a brunch with messy avocado toast. Then, a few years ago, I made a pact with myself: I’d only buy or wear things that worked for \*my\* daily routine. Now, my wardrobe is full of items that are practical but still feel like “me”—stretchy jeans that let me chase my toddler, a collection of soft blouses in colors I love that transition from playground runs to evening dinners, and shoe... And Yet We Live <@stooser.bsky.social>1h agoRound and round, Valery spun a bandage around his right thigh, visor LEDs contorted in a grimace of suppressed pain. Each rotation made him groan as the bandage tightened further — as many layers as he applied, the crimson fluid still insisted on showing through the permeable cloth, albeit less and less with each turn of the roll of bandage. After enough turns, Valery considered it enough to stop the bleeding before he could get the bullet from his thigh taken out and the wound sutured. He reached over to his open IFAK on the floor, retrieving a half-used roll of surgical tape. The protogen fiddled with the roll for a moment, trying to find the edge to grab it from; once found, he rolled o... Dress help!1h agoHi brides! I’m in a little predicament and need some opinions: I bought a dress for about $600 from a budget store that sells out of season dresses back in February. It was an off the shoulder aurora style dress and I was pretty happy with it, but it needed a good bit of alterations. I just got it back from the alterer and there are a few things I’m unhappy about :( he got some red sharpie on the dress, the sowing is pretty poor, and the sleeves look a little off now. Overall the dress still looks very beautiful, but it didn’t turn out the way I expected and I’m not 100% in love with it. My wedding is on September 19th 2025 (very soon, I know) and I’m wondering if it would be a g... I got a serious question (Phyllis/Whitney/Arista related)1h agoAre people being obtuse about *why* and *how* Phyllis Hyman’s career suffered like it did? It’s always the same thing: “Phyllis got cast aside for Whitney”, “Clive kicked Phyllis out so he could make Whitney a star”, and more incredulous: “Phyllis suffered so Whitney could soar then he got tired of them both and have them killed”. Most of the reasons as to why Phyllis Hyman’s career struggled was actually due to one artist: Phyllis Linda Hyman. Why is that? I’ll go back: Phyllis began building on a career after leaving college in 1971. She backed up bands including the pro-black activist group All the People and the Hondo Beat before forming the PH Factor in Miami arou... Calgary Grocery Deals (July 10 to 16, 2025)1h agoHappy Wednesday! This is a continuation of my pattern of posting what I think are decent grocery deals with the hope that this will save some people some money. As noted previously this is heavily skewed to items that I and my family eat. There are probably additional items that are good deals but I don't know it because they aren't items I use but hopefully my list is still useful to you. A few quick reminders: * PC Optimum points are collected at No Frills and Superstore. 1,000pts is worth $1. * Scene+ points are collected at Safeway, Sobeys and FreshCo. 100pts is worth $1. * The value of Save on Foods points depends on what you redeem them for. If you redeem them for a 4L jug... Considering Moving to Dallas for Work - Neighborhood Suggestions Commuting to Addison1h agoConsidering moving to Dallas for work. My office is actually in Addison and I would like to minimize my commute. Less than 25 minutes max, if possible. I’m currently an hour door to door at my job in the northeast; I drive to take a train. Ideally looking for somewhere that is an easy commute and won’t get old having to do it 4 or 5 days a week. But still ideally near an area with things to do, restaurants, parks, grocery stores etc. Addison itself does look appealing, but I fear it would be dead after work hours/weekends. It looks very corporate. My budget is completely flexible. I guarantee it will be less than what I pay to live in my current city. A townhome would be cool if poss... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
