Water Soluble Protein Drink

1m ago

I have just started losing weight and trying to be more attentive to my nutrition. I need a protein powder that can be added to water and stay roughly the same consistency as water. I DO NOT want a shake, and I do not need many grams of protein in this supplement. I am looking for something that I can add in my water bottle, bring hiking, and it have little or no flavor. And not think or shaky. I picked up a flavorless Collagen Peptide mix that does basically what I am looking for, but it is not a complete protein, and as I have done more researcher, collagen supplements are not that good for my weight loss and fitness goals. I have meal replacement shakes that I eat at other times in the ...

How I lost weight still breastfeeding

9m ago

I see this post come up now and again and even posted one myself, whilst in the depths of breastfeeding as I was so confused about what was happening to my body. So I just want to share my own personal experience in case it helps someone. To give some context I’ve been a personal trainer for over ten years. I’ve competed in powerlifting and have done photo shoots where I’ve had a six pack, so I know a fair bit about training and nutrition. I’m also currently still breastfeeding my 16 month old. (And she still doesn’t sleep through the night). —- After I had my baby I was pretty much within the same weight as before I got pregnant. But somewhere somehow down the line I ende...

Healthy or ******?

22m ago

Guys, I'm planning to hit the gym very soon and here's the schedule I'm planning (don't judge whether achievable or not but pls comment on whether it's unhealthy or not) . Morning 1 hr gym workouts (including 12 3 30) . Evening cardio for 30 to 45 mins . Dietary carb cutting down and ~80g protein per day . Going cold turkey on any sugar intake . Intermittent fasting (14:10) with the fasting window from 6 30 PM till 8 30 AM, breaking the fast after gym session . Taking additional vitamin supplements

I’m not intaking enough of anything really.

22m ago

My one month was yesterday and I’m not intaking enough of anything. I had 300 calories yesterday maybe 20oz of fluid and neither one of my protein shakes. I take all my vitamins and meds. I just don’t feel like consuming anything. I did advance myself to solid foods a) to see if that would help the underconsumption problem and b) help with the diarrhea. It helped with the diarrhea but not much with the under eating. I have a call with my nutritionist tomorrow and I’ll talk to her and see if there’s anything I can do..

Week 3 is done! After last week’s small gain (due to two celebrations), I’m back on track and seeing great progress again. This week I hit my lowest weight so far and also started resistance training at the gym for the first time in years — which may start affecting the scale a bit slower due to water retention and muscle repair. Stats: • Age: 26 • Height: 184 cm • Sex: Male • Starting weight (30.6.): 111.8 kg • Weight last week (Day 14): 110.2 kg • Current weight (Day 21): 107.9 kg • Lowest weight this week: 107.3 kg • Goal weight: ~74 kg Body Fat (smart scale – not fully accurate, but trend matters): • Start of last week: 37.6% • Today’s reading...

How to approach GP about testing?

46m ago

After eating some foods I get a flushed face that feels hot and itchy, mild fever, congested nose, headache, tinnitus, heartburn, palpatations, and heightened anxiety. I have also reacted to multiple medications, but they aren't documented as 'true' allergies (propranolol, stemetil, aspirin, iron supplements etc - I've done a PGx test but its pending still), and get a major headaches after strong smells like incense, and my own tears feel like they burn my face. I have so many other things under investigation right now (EDS, POTS, IBS, TMJ, Ventriculomegaly, Endo etc) that my GP doesn't seem to want to pursue anything else. But I've heard about MCAS and now I&#...

Is this right?

Hi All, Just wanting to run this by some extra eyes, does the above calorie total look correct for the values entered? I’m questioning it because this meal is meant to be 436cals per serve, and even using the recipe measurements of 330g chicken ******, my app still clocks it at 707 calories per serve 🙃🙃🙃
