I (36m) recently incorporated a creatine supplement again. Had taken it many years ago but didn’t like how it made me feel. I think I was consuming too much caffeine with it at the time. About 2 months ago I felt like I had hit a plateau in the gym and started taking a modest 3mg/day. Felt great for the first 1 - 1.5 months. At that time I switched brands to - ON Optimum Nutrition - due to local availability and was taking 4-5/mg day. Within a week I felt absolutely terrible. Tendinitis in my Achilles flared up And every night I would wake up with terrible aches in both my knees to the point I could hardly walk. It's been a week where my sugar was in low 80s that i try to correct that my sugar would not go up for four hours, i spent 4 hours trying to bring my bg in a normal range, in a straight line. not roller coaster. i puked at 10pm. I havent puke since THAT Day Next day, i ate my regular diet which is peanut butter and banana sandwich...usually i pre bolus and my bg would be in a flatline of 110s of 120s in a 4 hour period without a hypo....now at 3 hour mark it would start trending down From Friday to Monday, I only inject 22 units of long acting insulin thats it, and my breakfast lunch and dinner would be protein and vegetables, salad pretty much, didnt pre bolus for any of these meals.....
