I wanted to share my story to help others. My sweet girl was lethargic May 16, 2025. It went away the next day and returned a few days later. I took her into the vet, and long story short we found blood in the abdomen/anemia. Tests showed a bleeding spleen and liver nodules. We were warned by the vets that this was an aggressive cancer (most likely). We scheduled a spleen removal but before our appointment she had another (worse) bleeding episode. I rushed her to the hospital two hours away. Her spleen was removed and she developed an arrhythmia. She was in the ICU for three days. It was very expensive but we don't regret it. We w... Facial Male Structure By Race AI Analysis58m agoAn AI analysis of face structure of each race, with weak points and strong points and how to correct or enhance each of them. In the "Trait Explanation" section, AI explains how each trait was assessed for male beauty standard and why those traits were included. In the final section, AI explains the data it analyzed to pick these traits as ideal. NOTE: This is an estimate. Points may differ here and there based on the data AI assesses. So, just take it as a rough estimate and a tool to better understand your features. All races are closely cluttered together, meaning there is no vast difference in feature harmonies. While some may be weak in one trait, they may be strong in a... Weight management1h agoHow do you guys manage your weight? I have made some improvement in terms of figuring out which foods trigger me and which foods keep me fairly normal but, most of the latter aren't really healthy. Its mostly insoluble fiber/high fiber stuff that messes me up and makes life unpredictable..which leaves me eating mostly starch, carbs, and protein.. i also find snacking throughout the day on nuts and raisins or some glutenfree cereal or biscuits quite helpful with consistency... I've also been taking Trepline which has done wonders but it also causes water retention. So basically, iv finally got a somewhat handle on my ibs-m but have put on so much weight its starting to affect my con... Searching For Post-Surgery Food Recommendations (Non-Spicy, Non-Salty, Liquid/Mushy Foods)1h agoI am planning to get a chin implant and it will have to be inserted through the inside of the side of my mouth. I likely won't be able to eat regularly until it heals (which ***** because I'll be missing out all the great food in Seoul). I generally understand that after surgery, we should not be eating hard, chewy, spicy and salty foods. That's going to limit food options a lot - so I'm wondering what we can buy to eat from a restaurant or convenience store that involves minimal chewing. (I will not have access to a kitchen either.) Some foods I already know is ok to eat after surgery: * pumpkin packs (mashed pumpkins?) * juk - rice porridge ...but that's a... Rapid Growth?1h agoA few months ago, I got my sweet girl; she's a pit-corso mix and is now 5 months old. She's an amazing dog all around. The vet said she's very healthy, it's been a breeze training her, and she shows very little aggression, etc. My only concern is her weight. Due to her being a female and mixed, I'd expect her to be a bit under the average weight; however, as of today, she currently weighs 70 pounds. I'm not sure if she's growing a bit too fast. If so, I want to know if I can do anything to support her and prevent any complications. For some more info: we feed her as recommended by our vet (high-protein puppy food, twice a day), and she also gets plenty of e... Help me! It's been a year!1h agoAlmost exactly a year ago, I had what I thought were heart palpitations and possibly an anxiety attack. It happened out of nowhere, and my heart beat was strong and fast after that. I'm not an anxious person, but I didn't know what was happening so I think that this definitely made things worse. I should not that I had just started taking oral "hims" pills. I stopped taking them immediately. It could just be a coincidence, but the doctors didn't seem too interested in that. I went to get EKG's on multiple occasions and everything came back normal. I'm seemingly healthy, so they always tell me to see if it gets better. I also had a Calcium CT scan for my he... Happy Coach Day and Happy Electricity Day1h agoWith Railong (Rairyū in Japanese) A Yo-kai Watch OC I made. Brave tribe, electric attribute. His favorite is healthy food alongside PROTEIN Choco bars. His least favorite food is Hamburgers (probably) Doesn't inspirit much. He's an unknown legend more than anything Ya think he's good? I’m terrified for the side effects of removal1h agoI’m scheduled to have my gallbladder out on August 11, but I think I may cancel it because I am worried the side effects are going to be worse than the pain. 5 years ago I started having extreme pain when eating raw fruits and vegetables, beans, and whole grains. Finally after years of complaining to doctors I was diagnosed with gastroparesis. I cannot eat healthy foods for the most part and I can’t have fibrous foods at all, most of the time even if they are cooked. Fatty foods/unheathy ultra processed foods are the only things I can eat without extreme pain. My pain is, and always has been, distinct to my upper right quadrant, radiating into my back. Last year it devolved into an a... Obesity is an eating disorder itself1h agoI understand the massive amount of stigmas and misconceptions around extreme dietary practices like Very Low Energy Diets (VLEDs) and prolonged fasting. In many health forums, you can't even discuss eating less than 1,200 C/d. You often here that these types of diets cause eating disorders, except here's the massive hypocrisy of it all... Obesity is an eating disorder itself! Safety first. The fact is that dietary practices like prolonged fasting have been used for centuries as healing techniques. Most importantly, they're regularly conducted in clinical studies and have proven safety. You can't even run a clinical study that is considered an unsafe practice without cove... Positive doctor's visit (literally)1h agoSo I've been bedbound with a severe crash that put me into very severe for 10 months now. Didn't even know i had ME prior. As I was too severe to seek medical care, my GP of 20 years unable to provide more than "get hospitalized", I was deeply, deeply lucky to get a home visit 4 months in from the only specialist in my area who put me on Maraviroc. It helped. Today he visited me again to draw blood so that we can check auto-antibodies and some nutrient levels as I've had gastroparesis and was living entirely on liquid nutrition for 6 months. He said he doesn't understand why medical professionals make such a big theater about the ME diagnosis: You screen ... Is Semaglutide Your Next Step? Advice on eating more1h agoHi guys! I'm just looking for some advice/personal stories on how to eat more. I am on my fourth week, and things have definitely gotten easier. I no longer get nauseous or have side effects after a shot, more and more foods are sounding appealing to me, and it's getting easier to eat later in the week (4 days after my shot usually). However, last week, I got the flu and one of the days I was vomiting, and the whole week I had zero appetite, worse than ever. It made sense, I was very sick, but I could barely get myself to eat, and mostly stuck to toast because it's the only thing that didn't sound disgusting to me. I ended up losing a little over 5 pounds in that on... Stage 2 update1h agoCurrently I’m at 271.1(61lbs down). I’m 1lb away from completing the step 2 portion of my weight loss which is pretty exciting. I was off by about a month and a half but I did have a maintenance month so let’s say 15 days off lol. Let’s go over some changes or things I’ve stuck too since the last one: 1. Stats- I haven’t come close to beating the streak of 53 days without being in a caloric surplus, but that’s ok. That’s never my intended goal and life started lifeing itself. I’m currently 176/196 days in being in a deficit for the year and 215/235 days since the start of my current weightloss push. In 33 weeks, I’ve lost an average of 1.84lbs a week and that includes o... Trainer gave me 1500-calorie diet for muscle gain, I asked how that works and got kicked out.1h agoI (22M, 5'6", 65kg) recently started training seriously after about a year of on-and-off workouts. I signed up with a personal trainer who’s a state-level bodybuilding competitor and has trained national-level athletes. He handles both training and nutrition for his clients. He gave me a diet with 1500 calories and 160g of protein. When I asked why it was so low, especially since my maintenance is around 2200-2300 , he said it was because of my borderline high LDL cholesterol. He also said I’d still build muscle on it. I followed the plan for 2 weeks and then politely asked how muscle growth is possible in that big of a deficit, even with high protein. I made it clear I was j... Can't get last adventurer delivery for 5 stars1h agoI can't figure out how to progress with the adventurer. I've completed all of the standard orders available and they haven't refreshed in about 5 hours of real world time. I know I'm supposed to get an SSS post to trigger the last mission for him but I have no idea how to make that happen. Lost cargo doesn't seem to be a thing for him and the orders won't refresh. Tried traveling back and forth to Mexico, restarting the game, and sleeping for many in game days but no luck... How to make friends (Chicago)1h agoHi everybody. I’ve always struggled to make “mom friends” since I was pregnant 11 years ago and this has always felt very isolating for me…none of my siblings or close family have kids near in age to mine and my friends have only now started having babies. The few women I’ve connected with over the years who had kids around the same age moved away. I haven’t had success connecting in a meaningful way with moms at school, camp, church, sports etc. We might get together once or twice but we don’t “click.” I especially have not met any other “crunchy” moms. I would say I’m not too extreme, but I am somewhat strict when it comes to my household but I don’t impose my vi... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
