Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Protein Foods Latest Community Discussions About Protein Foodsmy safest safe food just had the recipe changed :(4h agoidk who else to talk about this with who will actually understand, so hi! i’m heartbroken right now. my absolute safest safe food just had its recipe ‘slightly’ changed, but i notice a huge difference. it’s a meal replacement drink that’s been my go-to for consistent nutrition for a few years, and i go through periods of time where it’s pretty much all i can eat. well, they just changed a few things about the recipe, and i’m trying so hard to pretend like it’s the same but it’s not. it tastes different and i’ve barely been able to drink a third of a bottle. i’m trying not to freak out about this but it’s genuinely been the only way i’ve been able to stay healthy t... 10mg working too well… feels like I’m unintentionally starving myself4h agoI’ve been on Zepbound for 11 months and 2 days. As of this morning, I’ve lost 89 lbs (344 —> 255). I’m currently on 10mg. I was on 7.5mg for three or four months and near the end, it was basically ineffective. I didn’t have any appetite suppression and my food noise returned. I was constantly hungry just like I was pre-Zepbound. So, I increased to 10mg around August 21… and now I’m having the opposite problem. Three months later, it still feels like I just started this dose. I’m not hungry AT ALL and can barely force myself to eat. I’ve been struggling to power through workouts because my body just doesn’t have the fuel it needs. I’m also really fatigued and ... Guys how long can i leave hard boiled eggs (shell opened) at room temperature until they spoil4h agoI’m struggling in college because I can’t eat my second meal at noon since I’m in class. I have to stay hungry until I reach home, while others eat normally. I’m worried that if I carry boiled eggs with me, they might spoil. I’m on a cut, so I can’t eat junk food and I need to stick to my nutrition. people who has experience with this please do reply Is Preventative Medicine the Future? Why LV Longevity Lab in Las Vegas Might Have the Answer4h agoI'm 35 and already watching friends and family juggle pills, doctor visits, and chronic fatigue — all while the healthcare system waits for them to break before trying to fix them. Sound familiar? You’re not alone. More and more of us are waking up to a frustrating reality: **Modern healthcare is great at saving lives — but terrible at maintaining them**. Which is why today I want to talk about a rising field that’s getting a ton of buzz (for good reason): **longevity and preventative medicine**. And to make this real, we’ll look at a clinic that embodies this approach: **[LV Longevity Lab](https://lvlongevitylab.com)** in Las Vegas, led by **Dr. Wallace Brucker** — a c... I lost my job from my IBS and the 6 months I’ve been off have saved my life4h ago28M I have had IBS-M probably my whole life but the worst of my symptoms started while I was in college and have haunted me for the pretty much a decade now. I finished my CPA in 2020 and took a job at a private accounting firm in NYC. I had good times where work and life was manageable, but I also had times where I was constantly missing days due to severe stomach cramping and an inability to get off of the toilet in the morning. My manager and I had a lot of conversations, and it was hard for him to understand that IBS could be that debilitating, but ultimately we decided it would be best for me to take some time to focus on me getting right. I have spent this time off fully committing... UPDATE: Underweight/stunted 1 Yo Kingsnake4h agoA while ago i posted asking if my king snake was underweight for a one year old (which he is). I figured out that i wasnt caring for him correctly, his tank heat was not where it needed to be. it was only about 75, and needed to be minimum mid 80s. I’ve since started him on calcium supplements with D3 to help him grow. Since he wasn’t getting cacium from the pinkie mice he was eating (too small to eat anything else. he’s now on peach fuzzies/ big pinkie mice. he can eat a rat pup and most likely a fuzzy). His tank is now much warmer and Ive noticed because of this he’s a much greater eater because he knows he can digest the food. He’s gained much weight and has grown a lot, though ... fat loss advice please ??4h agoi started this week monday to actually start doing 10k steps minimum everyday and actually trying to lock in to lose weight and ive been waking up at 5am everyday, walking my 10k steps, taking my siblings to school and doing wtv errands i had in the morning and spending the rest of the day doing random stuff yk and since then ive had 2 days where i did 11k and 4 days i did 15k+ steps. i ate in a calorie deficit prioritizing my protein intake and drank 2-3l of water and plus the walking ive cycled every other day and jump roped for like 10 mins a day (cus im still kinda bad at jump roping :,)) yesterday (saturday) i did 20k steps and i also went out since it was my brothers birthday and ate k... I give this to my kid sometimes. 🥱4h agoEsuki Esquites Food Truck4h agoYou don’t expect to find Japanese-Mexican fusion off Hamilton Pool Road, but here we are - and somehow it makes perfect sense. [**Esuki Esquites**](https://www.instagram.com/esuki.atx/) takes the classic esquites bowl and flips it with rice or yakisoba noodles, proteins like pork belly or tofu al pastor (our favorite!), and toppings like Tajín, woodear mushrooms, and bonito flakes. The menu is simple but flexible yet everything feels intentional. The miso mushroom quesadilla and pork belly bao are standouts, and the team behind the window couldn’t be friendlier (they even handed us a strawberries and cream dessert on the house). Go hungry, go curious, and go follow them on socia... A resource provided by my doctor! (Migraine/headache protocol)4h agoHi everyone! Wasn't sure what flair to use for this lol This is a resource sheet provided by my doctor. It has a TON of good information I didnt even know about. Hope this helps! Blocked out office name for privacy Foodie accounts that help! Have any recs??4h agoWhile on Zep, these 4 instagram accounts have helped me immensely with making smart choices about food. They’ve even spiced up my dinner recipes so much - which is super helpful when you have a naturally skinny spouse and get tired of making two separate dinners lol Are there any accounts that you would recommend for healthy, low calorie or high protein ideas?? But it's difficult because I constantly think about food, weight loss, and PCOS. And all my social media feeds have adapted to these topics. I feel emotionally burdened. Recently, I tried to remember what my life was like before all this (about six months ago, when I didn't care about nutrition). And now it seems to me that it was easier back then because there wasn't this constant noise in my head, and I could JUST EAT. Because of this pressure, I've been overeating a lot lately. I'm just tired. Do PT actually determine what is wrong if there is no apparent underlying injury5h agotldr; should someone at least try to determine *why* my back hurts? I honestly do not know where to ask this question, so I'm hoping this isn't breaking the rules. I am a middle aged woman with lower back pain, yes, I know, I'm nothing unique. It's not acute to the point where I need painkillers, but enough that sometimes it's hard to get up from the bed. I am **NOT** asking in this post to determine what is wrong with me. I've gone to PT for months at a time, and they just keep giving me basic exercises that you can find on the internet with 'is your back sore' search. I know that most of them aren't dealing with me specifically, because I am... Poison clouds, Sun barely gave light, Meteorites strike down, Theia’s final flight. From debris came the Moon, Earth stayed alive, For millions of years, a fiery vibe. But time moved on, water vapor climbed high, Clouds rolled above, rain fell from the sky. It poured for ages, filled craters and sand. Seas came alive, spreading over bare land. Volcanoes still smoked, air heavy and hot, But Earth was changing—ready or not. Starter pack for life? No big blue seas, Just hot, salty pools, acidic with ease. The air? Toxic. Oxygen? None. Beyond the Scale: How GLP-1 Drugs Quiet Inflammation — A New Layer in Metabolic & Longevity Therapy5h agoI came across this [compelling review in the Journal of Clinical Investigation (JCI)](https://www.jci.org/articles/view/194751) titled **“Antiinflammatory actions of glucagon-like peptide-1–based therapies beyond metabolic benefits”** by Chi Kin Wong & Daniel J. Drucker. While our work at Joult Health emphasizes weight/metabolic optimization, biomarker panels (\~160+), and drug-strategy for longevity, this research adds an important dimension: GLP-1 therapies may be doing *more* than just improving metabolism—they may be actively reducing inflammation across organs. Here’s a breakdown of what the review finds, why it matters for metabolic/ longevity work, and how we m... How to silence the food noise?5h agoHi everybody. Basically the title. I gained around 14 kilos in the last years (from 2018). I am a woman, 47, and 8 of those 14 are from my last pregnancy. I gabe birth in October last year, no post partum issues, so definitely I am in the condition to make them go. But. But. I just realized I always think about food. I am not dieting, even though I eat "clean". I mean: fiber, carbs and proteins every meal, no sugar in my drinks, some wine here and there. But of course I know that thermodynamics is a fact, so I am clearly eating more than I should. The fact is that I cannot silence that food noise. I am always thinking on how I should dieting properly, or training, or walking... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
