Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Popeyes Store Latest Community Discussions About Popeyes StoresAITAH for going low or no contact with family?2h agoMy family insists I’m brainwashed by my mother into disliking them, particularly into not liking my stepmom and sister. They all seem to agree on this, which makes me question myself constantly. I feel like my reactions make sense given how I grew up, but when everyone around me is saying the opposite, it really messes with my head. I’m considering going no contact, or at least very low contact, but I’m scared, especially about cutting contact with my dad, which I’ve never done before. For context, my family is extremely dysfunctional. My mom grew up in extreme poverty and neglect. Five siblings, all with different fathers, raised by a disabled mother and grandmother who were both ... Help after spaying. Cat hasn't eaten or drank for days2h agoI really need some advice. I took my 3 cats to get spayed on Wednesday. Its now Saturday. The night of the surgery all 3 ate just fine and took their antibiotics. Since then, 2 of them have eaten and drank just fine since. The 3rd 4 year old however, refuses to eat and drink and hasn't for 2.5 days now. She is acting mostly normal and being very lovey and will purr like crazy and rub in to me like normal. She is just as alert and is acting normal but I am very worried because she hasn't eaten or drank anything in days. She seems to pull away if the others come close. One of them being her sister who shes very close with. Ive tried their normal food, treat tubes, rice, plain c... Should I set my fridge to freezer mode or fridge mode? It can only be either2h agoIt's a temperature setting, I can't cook much so I very much prefer using the oven or microwave. I can't afford lots of glass containers for microwave reheating though (many of my plastic ones melted). And a lot of precooked food is loaded with preservatives... Protein is the priority here, my fridge (in fridge mode) has peanut butter, soy milk, overnight oats, dairy milk. If I set it to freezer mode, I would put fried chicken, fries, 'roasted' chicken... They would all be **pre-cooked** which makes cooking much easier but I think very unhealthy. Sometimes I don't even eat at all because I can't cook I don't know if soy milk and dairy milk would fre... Hear Me Out: Harissa + Honey2h agoI tried this after having a similar sauce at a Thai restaurant, and it turned out insanely good. Mix **1 tablespoon of honey** with **1 teaspoon of harissa arbi** (the real stuff, not the canned paste). Stir really well until fully combined, then dip your fries or chips in it or use it as a sauce on top of your chicken skewers. **Pro tip:** whatever amount of harissa you use, add about **3× that amount of honey**. Adjust to taste, but this ratio was the sweet spot for me. You get the smoky heat from the harissa and the sweetness from the honey—honestly, there’s no way you won’t like it. Next time I might try it with simple sugar syrup instead of honey. Drop your weird/unusual sauc... Restaurant RANTS2h agoI’m sure most of you have been to BhetGhat, right? Do you really think it’s worth the hype? I agree their taas tastes good, but honestly, when you look at the cleanliness of the restaurant, haat bazaar maa aayera khaaye jasto huncha, katt fohor huncha. It makes me wonder what their kitchen must be like. And leaving taas aside, the place is also famous for its bhatti momo. So yesterday, I went there and ate one plate of chicken bhatti momo. It tasted amazing. I really enjoyed it. I even packed another plate for my brother. But when we tasted the packed momo at home, it was terrible. Jammai maida matrai thiyo. I'm a 26F staying in Singapore for 6 months and I want to be fully immersed in Singaporean food. For context, I've been here for two weeks now and live near Holland Village and my meals are just a combination of 7-eleven meals, Koufu Chinese Food (near my office), and Chicken Rice. So far whenever I go to hawker centres, I just copy what my workmates eat, and if I go alone I just eat Chicken Rice because everything is overwhelming. So I wanted help on what you guys would recommend as iconic Singaporean food so I can make sort of a bucket list (I'm not very picky so I'm open to all suggestions like Indian, Chinese, Malay food, etc)! Also, hopefully it'... PotatoTheTegu2h agoHello, my name is French Fried Potato. Last day of 21 day sugar detox, here’s what I found.2h agoI am on my last day of a 21 day detox. Mine was pretty strict, no sugar, no dairy, no fruit, no bread, no alcohol (or NA), limited carbs. I took a week before I started and kind of weened myself off of things like late night cereal snacks, pop tarts in the morning when I’m running late, milk (I drank a lot more milk than I realized), no zero sugar drinks like coke zero, and alcohol (I almost exclusively drank NA beers but that was on the “no” list because of carbs). The biggest thing for me was that I got bored with the “yes” food options. Protein and veggies primarily. I love to cook and it was easy to get creative, but having eggs for breakfast almost everyday got boring… same ... 26M Aldi shop for 1 week £24.482h agoAlready had oat milk, porridge, chia seeds and peanut butter (most days what I have for breakfast) so slightly cheaper this week Chiang Mai Recommendations2h agoI'm not an expert but I had a great time exploring Chiang Mai and I love to shop and eat. Shops - Vila Cini (sliks/brocade cloth for slippers, pillows, gifts) Fai Sor Kam (beautiful handmade garments and hand dyed fabrics. I had a great time with the owner but Facebook reviews show he might have an attitude sometimes. Regardless, the clothes and fabrics are pure mastery) Tha Hand Made (one size clothing but beautiful and unique, clearly handmade pieces) Adorn with Studio Naenna (stunning fabrics, incredibly generous and kind owner, proud of her families craft) One Nimman (mall with lots of generally cute Thai stores. Check out the second level for sure for all local Thai crafts)... Does the LPR diet ever get easier?2h agoBackstory(skip if you want): Silent reflux guy here. Its been an insanely stressful time trying to get past this ****** illness. Food used to be my comfort. I also used to treat myself to food before I got reflux. Im not sure if this is important, but I got reflux from a vocal injury(long term strain, then laryngitis then vpocal muscle tension then reflux), and chronic stress. Im skinny as well, im like almost 6ft and around 69kg. So the pain isnt that im overweight. I find its harder to stick to diets when Im depressed and I keep going back. Ive been fighting this for 10 months, and Ive still yet to have 14 days of zero trigger foods(sometimes I thought I did, but turns out I wasnt becaus... Review of Epic2h agoWe went to Epic yesterday with our three kids, aged 5, 6 and 13. They are huge fans of How to train your dragon and Super Mario, so we thought this would be their favourite place to go out of our entire trip (including Disney, SeaWorld, and Legoland), and it was by far their least favourite place. Isle of Berk was pretty cool, very immersive, but line ups are insane, understandably so as it’s a new park and all that. My younger two kids are 46” and was only able to do one ride in that area, out of three total. (One was closed due to being a water ride and it was winter season). So only one ride was done there. My kids thought the ride was “lame”. Their words, not mine. This was Hi... Dali Spicy chicken popper2h agoMeron na uliiiiiit trouble swallowing food2h agosorry i don’t even know if this is the right place to post this but just need some advice. 4 weeks ago food started getting lodged in my throat and my body would go tense and i’d almost choke. i could still swallow food just mushed up, no solid foods. went to the doctors and they said it could be indigestion or something so to come back in a couple of weeks as i was still able to eat soups/smoothies etc and they said it would probably go after taking gaviscon. anyway i’ve started being able to swallow most foods now and was hoping it was going away however this past week i have noticed my body has the ABILITY to swallow because the first few bits of food go down fine with no issues... New to city - looking for top food recos across all types of cuisine2h agoHey all! I am newer to living in Ottawa and was excited to find this subreddit. I’m trying to systematically explore the best food the city has to offer across all types of cuisine. I eat everything. Casual, hole-in-the-wall, fine dining, bakeries, regional specialties etc. I feel like I have more recommendations so far around fine dining (open to more) but would really love to find some more hole-in-the-wall type places with authentic food and great value as well. Happy to spend/travel if needed but all that matters is good food! I’m especially looking to find good spots for things I have been either been struggling to find good for (like certain types of Asian cuisine) or cuisines ... Food advice2h agoWhen I first got my dog she only would est solid gold sensitive salmon. I tried wellness core sensitive salmon, purina pro sensitive salmon and lamb, and I think another wellness core beef? So I read how solid gold isn’t a good brand etc and see how everyone feeds their dog purina pro sensitive salmon so I went back to try that and she ate it! I was shocked. But her breath smelled so… So I decided to try the lamb option. She didn’t touch it. At all! I went back to salmon and now she’s not touching that either! It’s been nearly a week! Where she has just ate her kibble. I have had to give her some eggs on top or shredded chicken, nothing has really helped her consume just the kib... Vibe Shore Club at GSC Review2h agoJust got back from Great Stirrup Cay and tried the new Vibe Shore Club, figured I’d share a quick take in case anyone is debating it. I also did a video review if that's more your style: [https://youtu.be/nX7MWhw5VXQ](https://youtu.be/nX7MWhw5VXQ) Overall I actually liked it a lot, mostly because it finally felt like there was a calm, adult space on the island where you can actually relax. Positives * It feels genuinely nicer than the main beach areas. The setup reminds me of a higher end resort vibe, not just a roped-off section. * The loungers were the biggest positive for me. They’re plush and comfortable and spaced out enough that you don’t feel packed in. I laid there for... Steak the Tegu3h agoHello, my name is T-bone steak.
