The Office Lunch Thief,Who Wasn’t

3h ago

So last quarter, our office kept having this weird issue with the break room fridge. People’s lunches would go missing… but not completely. Like, someone would take just a portion a few spoons of rice, half a sandwich, a couple pieces of chicken. It was oddly specific and honestly kind of unsettling. Management sent out the usual passive-aggressive emails. “Please respect shared spaces.” Someone even suggested setting up a camera. It became this running joke… until people actually started getting mad. Then yesterday happened. One of the cleaners accidentally left the storage closet open, and inside was a small notebook sitting on a shelf. Someone picked it up thinking it was ...

Mirtazapine experience?

3h ago

Me: 40/f/UK Vet info: cat only specialist vet. Been heavily involved throughout. My cat (13,f, stage 2 CKD) has been super off her food recently. Barely eating. Back and forth to the vets. Bloods checked. All normal (apart from CKD and thyroid which is under control with meds, but came in low so reducing dose). She’s also had an ultrasound today and confirmed no pancreatitis etc. she’s also had anti nausea shots. Teeth out 2 months ago but vet has had a thorough examinations has confirmed her mouth has healed ‘beautifully’. After the vet had done these thorough investigations, they’ve concluded her CKD and possibly low thyroid levels are resulting in poor appetite and have pre...

Reta Side Effect

3h ago

I have been taking Reta for about 2.5 months now. Lost about 20-30lbs during that timeframe (I am estimating as when I got back from vacation so there was undoubtably some amounts that were bloat, glycogen, water weight, ect). As a note, I started at .5mg, and over the 2.5 months tirated up to about 2mg weekly (split does 1mg M/TH). Randomly when I was cruising at that dose, I started getting really really bad side effects of gastric emptying slowness causing rancid burps and random spouts of diarrhea (maybe TMI sorry). This mostly happens around eating time but I will sometimes wake up painfully bloated. I have changed nothing about my diet, and am eating very clean foods (no processed ...

The soup’s so good and a nice break from all the sweet stuff. I add lime in it, then strain 😋

So much guilt and regret , my fault

3h ago

My almost 17 year dog died about 4 months ago. It took me a few weeks after he passed to realize I might have unknowingly caused him to decline fast. It eats at me 24-7, I can’t even begin to forgive myself or function in life. I think I ruined everything we ever had. He was all I ever talked about to people, he was my best buddy. A summary of his final month or so….He was starting to lose mobility, back legs were getting worse, spine sticking up, could still walk slowly but had poor traction. No longer wagged his tail. He had started pooping in bed or near it often and on himself. Had mild ivdd When younger. He had stopped eating dry food long ago, was eating wet food but made a mess an...

My first time flying alone is being completely hijacked by a random helicopter mom

3h ago

Ugh, I just can’t even right now. I’m 17. I’ve flown with my parents many time, so I have a good handle of the process. Last year, I went to a youth conference. It was kind of flying alone, but not really. I was on a flight there and back with several other youth from our group. And on the way back, our whole group of like 15 people travelled to the airport together, and we only split up once we got past TSA. Unfortunately, one of the girls on the same flight as me was driving me CRAZY. I told the other girl I was going to go to Popeyes to get food not even a minute away. She said “okay.” Then as soon as I order, the crazy girl is storming up saying “How dare you ignore the bud...

Pickle Menu coming back?

4h ago

Is there any chance Popeyes will bring back the pickle menu? Their Pickle Fried chicken sandwich and wings were so good that I'm still craving it nearly a year later.

Omarcito Latin Cafe Review- hidden gem

4h ago

Omar is so welcoming and kind! From the minute we walked up, he asked if it was our first time and explained the drill. Counter service with place to sit inside on this cold day. We got Ropa Vieja platter, Jibarito, with lechon and pollo empanadas. My husband’s ropa vieja Jibarito was authentically Cuban with excellent portion size. Great shredded beef and perfect maduro/sweet plantain combination. Ropa Vieja platter had juicy delicious shredded beef, maduro and yellow garlic rice. So tasty! Already have plans to come back (and we haven’t left the restaurant yet)!

Can honey be unhealthy in my cooking?

4h ago

So!! I am nineteen(female!), soon to turn twenty, and I’ve always struggled with acne issues, although not severe. It was really a lifestyle habit issue, as described by a few dermatologists now. I go through phases where I smoke, don’t drink enough water, and only eat dairy. Fortunately, i still got a good metabolism, so no issues except the fact that my diet breaks me tf out. Lately, in the past few months, since i live alone, i decided to take my dieting more seriously. I try to eat red meat once a week, I’m trying to cut all sugars but honey, i try to eat fruit and yogurt each morning, and in between nights of the week ill either eat oven cooked salmon or stovetop cooked chicken **...

Was anyone else aware that we may soon have 7 ELEVEn in Halifax??

4h ago

Just bored, surfing on my phone on my break at work and I can across this. I guess sev is actually finally looking to expand to the maritimes 🤔🤔🤔. As for anyone out here who has been to 7 ELEVEn, I'm sure you would agree this would be a game changer for convenience out here. Slurpees, wings, kabobs, pizza, fresh sandwiches, salads, parfaits and the list goes on.... I hope this becomes a reality sooner than later, I would love to drop in and get a Slurpee and wings🤞🏼. https://halifax.citynews.ca/2026/02/19/7-eleven-canada-looks-to-franchising-restaurant-model-and-egg-sandwiches-for-growth/#:\~:text=That%20plan%20is%20to%20combat,convenience%20store%20items%2C%20he%20said.

i was just served the most undercooked chicken of my life

4h ago

how ****** am i? i can’t believe this. i was eating in the dark and so preoccupied with defending my food from my cat, i didn’t even notice until much later that it wasn’t even dry. it didn’t even separate into pieces like how cooked chicken does. it was solid and wet, unbreakable almost. like straight up the most raw i’ve ever had. and i just found out my step brother cooked it for us tonight for 15 minutes i the airfryer.

The Long Coyote

4h ago

I have been feeling something watching me for weeks. I couldn’t have told you what it was, and if it hadn’t made its presence known, I probably would have never had a clue. It was early spring, and anytime I was out feeding chickens, tending to my goats, or milking cows, I would sense the presence of something just behind me. It was never foolish enough to let me have a look at it, and that may have led me to believe it was afraid of me. I would turn around suddenly on my milking stool or with chicken feed ready to throw in my hand, expecting to see a cat or maybe some kind of stray dog, but there was never anything there. It wasn’t until about three weeks after I had first felt the ...

For those of you who have autistic kids who are good weight, what are their foods?

4h ago

We have done making sure he always has something he likes to eat, we have worked with a pediatrician, tried pediasure, tried night feeds, tried more exercise and then eating more directly after, tried oil and butter in his kill bacon, sausage, lasagna, ghee, he’s been tested for everything under the sun. The key with him is that around 2.5 regardless of his bounds of energy. He just does not eat enough va being a very picky eater. He takes his time eating and gets full quickly. No malaborption, Gi issues, he’s not constipated. We’ve tried no gluten and no dairy for 6 months. So I guess I will ask, what foods do those of you that have average or above average weight kids eat? What’s...
