This thread is the place to shout out places that you tried from recommendations from this sub this past week that fit the bill. They can be places that get recommended here, such as: * frequently recommended restaurants * that random, niche spot that some random comment dropped * a chicken sando from our very own chicken sando guru The goal of this thread is to celebrate and encourage the recommendations and contributions of your suggestions, and, also, maybe encourage YOU to try that place that was recommended a few times here. I've dabao their pizza before, it was Hawaiian pizza big and filling. Freshly made and have to wait about 20-25 minutes. Really worth it. Today for lunch ive had their mussels in cream without rice ($10, about 12 pieces) and chicken aglio olio ($8.90). Lots of chicken pieces and mushrooms. The mussels in cream hits the spot! The staff even asked if the mussels are okay, I said it was delicious! Not salty and aglio garlic are whole cloves, not the chopped ones. Worth a try when coming to chinatown! Opening hours: 11am-8pm daily. Neve gonna lose this weight lmao3h agoGod ******* dammit. I **** food soooooooooooo much. There's no ******* way I'm ever gonna maintain a good calorie deficit. I am never gonna commit to enough lifestyle changes for long enough to lose jack **** or gain muscle. Hopefully when I die they can find a big enough casket for the undulating waves of fat that eventually develop. Jesus ******* christ. I don't **** average or skinny people, but the envy is x10,000,000 fold. There are literally no downsides to being skinny that wouldn't make me take that over being fat and disgusting any day other than not having a fat *** or big thighs, I guess. But those could still be developed anyway. Yeah, yeah. I'm still go... They changed the formula3h agoI w**a**s wo**r**kin**g** with some of my friends from highschool at the closest chicken shop to us. Apparently one day, **someone** thought it would be funny to freeze some mashed potatoes and coat it to make it look like fried chicken and we all paid the price. Only a month after we had first been trained, we had to be retrained on procedures. New papers to sign and all. Customers would come in for weeks angrily and emphasize that if they are getting potatoes they better pay potato prices. We had new management soon after the franchise was bought out by a local organization, and the manager started giving out buy one get one coupons to every customer and free drinks. I’m not sure how... MIYA Kebabs🙇♂️3h agoI visited Miya Kebabs at the Fort Branch yesterday. Almost everyone I met in Mumbai had raved about this place,so I finally decided to give it a try and let me tell you, they weren’t exaggerating! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the kebabs. They were so soft and melted in your mouth. The perfect amount of butter(or ghee dk) plus spices and the tandoori flavour.I highly recommend Miya Kebabs to everyone. On a side note,I didn’t enjoy the shawarma that much.I would rate it a 6/10.Dynamite tangdi was also really good,a solid 9/10 chicken changezi tikka was an absolute banger definitely 10/10.I didn’t know they served naan with it,but it was a great addition. Sudden Food Disgust3h agoI don't know how common this is, if it's ADHD or something else, and I would like to know! I have been dealing with sudden food disgust for Years. It's mostly meats, and it varies. It's also been more common the last few months (like 1-2x per week). It could be deli meat(s), pork roast, diced chicken ******, ground beef, etc. It can happen 1 or 2 bites into a meal or towards the end of my meal, and I literally cannot put more in my mouth otherwise I will probably vomit. Anyone else??? Build your own insult3h agois my 3 year old maltese just not a purebred , or is he extremely overweight ?!4h agoA little over 3 years ago , a friend of a friends dog had puppies and I fell in love with my dog. I was told he was purebred- either way I didn’t care , I knew I was bringing him home . My partner used to frequently feed him table food (like scraps of leftover chicken from dinner) but that has *almost* completely stopped this past year , as far as I’m aware. My pup also does take an anti-seizure medication twice a day and won’t eat it unless it’s in a piece of meatball or something- and in the morning i don’t have time to play around to try to get him to take the pill , which is extremely important he takes. anyway i know he’s overweight , the vet said he’s overweight . I ... Why are so many people ordering for takeout, and then eating it in the Restaurant?!?4h agoDoes anyone else have this problem? I run a couple of chicken and wings sports bars. Daily, I will have people order togo online/over the phone, and then when they come in they'll just grab a table and open em up and eat at the table. They aren't in a rush, we push out the food fairly quickly, so there's no time saving. Unless there's a game on, tables and seats are usually available. What the ****? The food quality is less with togo, it steams in the boxes and bags. And its wasteful, and we spend the extra on togo boxes, so we don't want it. Why don't people just get it fresh? is there some ******* reason people do this/do any of you all have similar situati... Dapat mawala na yan.4h ago1. Tandoori Culture is the Place.4h agoIf you want **authentic North Indian food in Singapore**, you have to taste the **tandoori culture**. Their tandoori chicken, butter chicken, naan and north Indian curries are honestly some of the best I've eaten in SG. Great taste, fresh ingredients and proper Indian flavour, not the bland version found at many places. If you are looking for the **best Indian restaurant in Singapore**, this place is worth your visit. **Highly recommend for:** * Tandoori lovers * Biryani fans * Curry addicts * Anyone who loves real Indian flavours Craving Authentic North Indian Food? I usually get the reaper, and in the past I haven’t had much issue eating this. Yes, it’s spicy, but doable. Today, however, it wrecked me. It was extremely spicy, my stomach is burning. I couldn’t finish it. I’m still feeling the pain from the spice. Has anyone else had this experience? I don’t know if it’s me or the chicken. For reference, I love spicy food . When spice levels are to be chosen, I always ask them to make the food as spicy as possible and it is always fine for me. Anyone here have issues with foods? Burning swelling etc.4h agoAntibiotics destroyed my ability to eat foods and induces burning swelling and hives so severe that I scar. I’m 7 months into this nightmare and am starving all the time. Some people have told me to look into mcas but I’m not finding a lot of users who have had issues after antibiotics outside of this community. I am surviving on a diet of chicken and rice and eggs. It is no way to live. My doctor has also told me I have chronic spontaneous urticaria but there is nothing spontaneous about it. My life changed overnight after my heavy antibiotics course and my body treats everything as a threat now. I am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Newly diagnosed stage 1-2 Siamese won't eat.4h agoHe was completely ravenous before starting on the new renal (hills renal wet chicken/chicken in stew) diet. Now I can't even get him to eat his old food he went crazy for. I think he's paranoid he just looks at me like I'm trying to poison him even when I try to feed him his old favorite friskies now. I am posting here because the vet is closed weekends. He ate his first 2 meals on the new food and seemed to love it. It might have twisted up his stomache? I saw some diarrhea in the box but it could be from cat #2. I went into town and bought 2 cans of every renal variety they have from another vet store and he won't touch any of those either (royal canin). I... **** it: Day 94h agoDay 9 **TL;DR: Started hung over as ****, recovered in a GC, got an apology for the night before from ******* girl, hit WS.** Wake up. Where the **** am I? Quick glance, I'm in my bed. Good. I'm alone, ****. My phone is beside me, awesome. Wallet still full of baht and in my pocket, spectacular. Jump the the hot tub and grab a water from the fridge, I gotta piece last night together so I start typing to see if it comes back to me. I lose my memories around when I was taking the gorgeous new girl to my room. Send her an apology text through line in both English and Thai just in case. Hopefully she'll come back. Pop down to my local massage place. Still haven't gotten... Food prices up, portions down4h agoI’m in Mississauga (Meadowvale) and between a full-time job + a side business I end up eating out at least once a day, usually takeout. Lately I’ve been noticing the same pattern across a lot of places: prices keep going up, but portions (especially protein) and overall quality feel more inconsistent than they used to. I don’t mind paying for food, but it’s getting harder to find spots that feel worth it. A few examples from my recent takeout rotation in Mississauga: • Chipotle – bowl + drink ends up around $20 and the protein portion feels small depending on the day • Pita Nutso – chicken/rice was really saucy but the chicken felt dry and portion was light • Lazeez... Chicken and rice plate [Food Vibes]4h agoDog Diarrhea5h agoOur 10 year-old Border Collie/Aussie mix has been having ongoing diarrhea. She was spending long stretches outside with the runs and was needing to go out very frequently, including waking us up during the night. This caused us to switch her from her regular food (Fresh Pet refrigerated morsels mixed with Beneful Healthy Weight dry food) to a bland diet of chicken and rice for the last week. I initially thought her food may have gone bad when our refrigerator wasn’t working properly, but even after buying a new bag and mixing it back in with the chicken and rice one evening, the diarrhea has came back. Despite this, she has acted completely normal playful, energetic, drinking well, eatin... I didn't even know my maintenence was around 3,000!5h agoI'm 19F and 206lbs at 5'11 I'm currently on my fat loss journey. I don't measure my progress with a scale but more with measurements and ive lost fat around my waist and even dropped a size in shirts and jeans. Overtime, I stopped doing my fat loss journey for like 3 weeks because my community college closed for the winter break so that means the college gym is closed as well so I just did nothing and just ate small snacks since I barely have money for fast food these days so I just abuse my airfryer for dumplings and chicken wings and stayed up all night. When school came back I went back on my 1500-1600 caloric deficit and going to the gym. After my workouts around... 🛡︠Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
