I've got a problem. I frequently feed my gecko hornworms, previously i would go to the local non-chain pet store where I could buy one single worm at a time so as to only buy exactly what i needed and could feed off. recently that petstore got evicted and moved to the next town over, so now my only option is to buy entire cups of 4-5 worms from PetSmart. my gecko does not eat enough to consume 5 hornworms in the time before they get too big for her to physically fit in her mouth, so i allow the big ones to pupate and leave the pupa in an enclosure to do their thing. this is wildly unsustainable and I realize I will very quickly be overrun by dozens of pupa at this rate. Does anyone have any training place recommendations or has anyone tried Petsmart/Petco training classes for their dal puppy? If so what level did you start with puppy or beginner? A little backstory on this sweet boy I had been extensively researching dalmatians and having one since I had always wanted one. I was going to purchase from a breeder and came across this sweet boy on craigslist. The guy I got him from said he was 4 months old (we think he’s closer to 6m) The guy said he was getting rid of him due to a change in housing and lack of time due to going back to school. I live in an area that 95% of stores won’t ship anything live to and the only pet store near me is petsmart. Crickets die literally within 24 hours every time I buy them no matter what. Night crawlers seem to be the easiest food for my whites tree frogs I can get. Are (chopped up) night crawlers an okay food to feed as their main food? (occasionally I will buy crickets and meal worms) I’ve seen a lot of mixed info on night crawlers as a staple food.

I noticed big box stores like Petsmart and Petco started selling jumping spiders in the last couple of months. They're mostly bold jumping spiders, decently large, so probably well into adulthood. Has anyone bought one from these kinds of stores? How was their health/lifespan?

Hey all, I am having bad experiences with the petsmart near me and its the only pet/reptile store near me. I have gotten worms before and open the container to JUST DIRT. Not a single worm. I have also now twice gotten worms with fuzzy mold in the dirt... is it safe to feed these worms in the container with mold? I always just toss the container and assume no. But all of this is just to ask where everyone else gets their axolotl food? Do you guys have a reputable website? Or does everyone experience this? My cat had this toy that was her absolute favorite. It was a stuffed cat with the middle part made of a stretchy material and inside there was this mechanical thing that would stretch out and then vibrate as it slowly re-wound itself. So basically you could grab the two ends, pull it apart, and then it would slowly return back to it’s normal shape and would vibrate as it did so. I feel a little crazy, but something about going into a store like Petsmart or Wal-mart almost immediately makes me feel like I’m going to pass out. Even if I’m eating, hydrating, taking beta blockers, compressions, electrolytes, etc. I work as a server with minimal symptoms at work, so it’s not the walking. Has anybody else ever experienced something like this?

I was in my local PetsMart to say his to the staff as my Earl is very friendly with all the staff there. As I was walking down this one aisle a woman walked past at the opposite with a golden doodle and took one look at me and Earl and said "Oh God" as I was walking around the store she was very obviously doing her worst to not be noticed me seeing her try to avoid me at all cost. Henceforth, Earl didn't even acknowledge her or her dog and she was acting like me and Earl were following her. Some of the people in my neighborhood who have these designer dogs are so full of themselves and uppity.

So I ran into pet supplies plus and was in there for maybe 15ish mins, if that. There was an anxious dog in front of me whom had just been groomed. Well when I got home my cat started to hiss and low growl at me, she was fine with me before I left the house and has never reacted this way when I’ve come home from PetSmart or the vet. I will say when we take our other cat to the vet she does behave like this towards our other cat and myself when we’ve returned (which I know is not abnormal). But this one has me stumped. things are slightly better (?) i got some stuff at petsmart that i may or may not actually use i mixed the substrate up a bit, rinsed the driftwood with hot water, and refilled the bowl with distilled water. im hesitant with using the salt i got after doing more research after the fact :/ ive’s been scouring through the hermit crab association forums and CCS for all my research. i gave cherry some whole oats, egg with shells, cilantro, coconut oil, half a grape, calcium supplement, fruit, and two nuts. i made sure none of them had anything extra added. when i put the food inside she began to eat so yippie on that. next time ill feed her chicken and get mealworm when i go to the store. a...

At my local per store this popped up some time in the last 2 weeks since I’ve last visited. This is a chain with at least 80+ locations (think PetSmart but more boutique and expensive)…maybe the plan to launch the bugs for human consumption didn’t go as well as they hoped for so they pivoted to dogs until they’re ready to try and launch again. ⚠️**For the record** I will chop off my own arm and feed it to my dog before buying him this ****.
