PETSMART Locations

Hey all! Im moving to Melrose, MA and looking to transfer stores. Ive been with the company almost 5 years. I see there are 3 different petsmarts over that will be near me (Saugus, Everett, Woburn). Anyone from those stores or have any experience on which one I should consider transferring to. Any major red flags? I mainly do trucks/stock/recovery/shippinh or petcare but have plently of experience as a cashier.

I had a mental health crisis, so my therapist requested that I get medical leave while I go to a mental hospital. After I finished the mental health treatment, I asked the LOA manager to return to work, and she said no problem, I just want a doctors note with any new accomodations (since I went on a medical leave). Hello. I've had my leo going on 8 years. For years I lived near a pretty cool pet store that sold all kinds of feeder bugs and sold them by the bug. I moved away a while ago and my options here are mostly PetSmart, pet supermarket, Petco etc. I haven't seen a reptile store. Options for local bugs are limited. We pretty much just have various darkling beetle larvae (mealworms, giant mealworms, super worms) and crickets. I do see waxworms sometimes but do not want to feed my gecko waxworms. I also see hornworms sometimes but they come in a cup of like 10 and are pretty pricey, and I believe I could realistically only feed him 1-2 before the rest are too big for him to rest. edit yikes, this gor way more attention than I expected! just to reiterate: I did not know it was going to be delivered by DD! the only place I've noticed 3rd party delivery is Costco and they say "fulfilled by InstaCart." We don't order online a lot and are new to pet ownership (thanks, Santa). The front left door is smashed and placed inside the tank. Yesterday I ordered a 40 gallon reptile tank from Petsmart. Hey yall! I realized I haven’t done an update in a while. Some of you may remember I got Pal when I was making a delivery and the customer canceled the order. I was instructed by both companies to “dispose” of the order. So I did, straight to my house and over the last four months have been watching her grow. I never intended to be a budgie parent but she’s won my heart over so strongly. She’s so full of life and personality, I can’t help but feel extremely lucky that I’ve got her now. Im curious if anyone has bought live crickets from Petco? (I don’t really shop at PetSmart ever since they left the animals in the store during that flood yrs and yrs ago) I have a tarantula and I’ve bought crickets from Creature Comforts on upper front but it’s a little bit of a drive. I’ve read mixed reviews online buying from chain pet stores but hoping ppl have an opinion about the Vestal location. I will definitely make that drive to upper front st if I need to.

So i already have this tank and it is home to a snake i am soon relocating… i already have 2 sips right now but they are either to young to sex or i just cant tell. I was hoping i could get another 2 if they were both males just to be safe and build this out to put them in there. I would do a full background with cork hides spray foam and the whole 9 yards but i have read that tank might be to short because of the fact the arboreal but honestly in my observation yes they like to climb but they never reach the top of their tank now, so maybe cutting off 2 inches of height wouldn’t be to much of a bother to them but i wanted to hear yalls opinion on the whole thing

abt a month ago, my bf gifted me a betta fish. this is our first tank. we did soo much research and bought everything we needed. we got a 20 gallon tank, sponge filter, heater, etc. we set up the tank and moved him into it. his behavior seemed to immediately improve. he was stuck in a cup in petsmart for god knows how long, and he just seemed dull and depressed. once we moved him tho, he seemed to be doing so much better. we were so happy and hopeful. a couple weeks later, we bought 3 neon tetras from pet smart. two of them died within the first two days. they were already acting a little funny from the moment we got them. they didn’t move much and they all were in different areas of the ...

My daughter got three red claw crabs a while back from Petsmart. Two of them died within six months. The third is now 3 years, 5 months old. We did not expect pet store crabs to last that long. Anyone else's get that old?

So a little while back I rescued some rats that had been abandoned. Since then, one of the three has passed and I want to start looking for some new friends to add to the family. I've never bought rats before, but have kept reptiles for years. With reptiles, it's generally frowned upon to buy from chain pet stores like Petco/Petsmart, but I haven't seen rats sold at the few independent pet stores local to me. So where should I start? What are some red flags I should be looking for? What prices are suspiciously low or unreasonably high? In the area of Richmond, Va and willing to drive a couple hours if needed if anybody has specific recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Just wanted to share my experience today and the fate that happened to me. Went to a Petco for the first time in a very long time (Petsmart is the only pet store near me) and I got a staff member in the fish section who was amazing. I had my tank cycling for a good while now and it is ready for shrimp, but I wasn't expecting to find any locally at all, so I resigned to having to wait until the cold weather cleared for shipping. Found 3 neos which is exactly what we wanted and the Petco employee started asking me about what kind of tank I had, whether or not it was cycled, if there were already any residents in it, about if the filter was suitable for them so they didn't get ****** ...

I went to PetSmart the other day to pick up something for my tarantula enclosures and saw some jumping spiders in the worst condition I've ever seen. I know that they are wild clock. No captive bred spider would look that rough. And no company that actually knows what it's doing would sell adult spiders knowing that they have a very short lifespan. It's a money grab, it's capitalism. I'm not ******. But I am angry and I want to fight it. These animals are being ripped from their natural habitats and put into a tiny little plastic tube under these horrific bright lights. Hey y'all. I've been keeping reptiles for over 20 years now across several states and moves and I know how daunting it can be seeing that new list of vets in your area, *especially* in the event of an emergency. Now ideally, you'd have this hammered out before you move but stuff happens and people aren't perfect. It's really no surprise most people don't think about it until it's a problem. Not to mention you may *think* you already tracked down a reptile vet- but arrive to your new town only to find that the only exotics they treat are small mammals. im currently looking to buy a betta fish, and i really don’t wanna give my money to any abusive chain stores like petco or petsmart. i’m looking for somewhere that’s selling them for a reasonable price. i’m also hoping to find somewhere that sells the equipment needed for freshwater fish care as well as a decently priced 5 gallon tank. thank you!

Hii! I had a dream last night where I was purchasing a betta fish from petsmart. In the dream I was comparing tank prices and browsing available fish at the store. I don’t currently own any fish and have had no interest in getting one. It was incredibly realistic and I don’t often remember dreams this intensely so I was wondering if anyone has any insight if betta fish have any significance in dreams. Thanks for your thoughts!
