PETSMART Locations

I have 5 guppies, 2 males and 3 females, I originally got 3 males from a fish store and one morning one was dead, so i ended up with 2 males, then about a week or 2 weeks later I added 4 girls that I got at petsmart, but then again, one died yesterday, her fins and eyes were gone, I could hardly tell it was a guppy. Today I noticed one female with part of the top half of her tail fin gone, so in order to prevent fin rot, I did a water change and kept an eye on the guppies afterwards, I noticed one of my males chasing a female guppy that I think it’s pregnant, I panicked and put them in the leftover (clean) water from the water change and put a bit of stuff in there as a kind of hospital/qu...

I have an almost 5yr golden retriever. He’s a very social, loving and happy dog. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but truthfully I think he really loves being around humans even more. He loves meeting new people on our daily walks, is always getting extra cuddles at the vet, and we even frequent the pet store regularly so he can say hi to his Petsmart buddies. On Thursday March 12th, I took my sweet girl to PetSmart in Sedona to be groomed. This is not the place we usually go, but I was in a lunch because I was moving to a different city on Saturday and the place we moved has a lot of goat heads. I was worried her longer fur would catch the stickers and cause mats so we asked that her feet and legs be cleaned up as well as some of the longer fur be trimmed a bit. I am looking for an independent fish store with good variety of freshwater fish. I have a 20 gallon I am working on setting up and it’s my first aquarium in years so I was hoping to get help picking out a good selection that can cohabitate while in the store. I could do petco/petsmart but I prefer to support an independent store. Any recommendations near Flanders NJ? I don’t mind driving 30-1hr if there’s a really good spot.

I’ve been a cashier for a few years now, just part time while I’m a manager full time elsewhere. I’ve noticed that while I’m on register, and a PP needs help with something and I’m talking with them, I get radioed that I have someone on my register. I then have to interrupt the PP and say “I’m sorry I have someone” and then go to the register, to find the SL and two of the leads/leaders just talking or on their phones. One is maybe doing BOPIS or on the phone with a PP, but someone could’ve easily helped them. I’ve stopped doing this; i’ve begun saying “i’m busy with a PP” over radio and then they step in and run on the drawer but I usually get annoyed looks. Espe...

First Aquarium cycled for a month before adding any fish went to PetSmart today looking for 12 harlequin rasboras and they only had 7 so I bought em planning on adding another 7 rasboras from a different store, 8 Pygmy Cory’s and 1 male or female betta and 4-5 big amano shrimp and 1 or 2 netherite snails for a cleanup crew . Running 2 sponge filters with 90 degree bends in the bubble canal , a hugger day / night cycle lots of live plants such as ferns, Anubias, tissue culture, tiger lily’s , frogbit, lucky bamboo and swords got a heater on the left side at a 45 . Any tips are most welcome along with criticism. Thanks in advance

Hey yall, I have a question that requires your opinions. I’ve tried crickets from local pet stores, from pet valu, and from petsmart, and honestly, the petsmart ones drop dead so fast. Does this happen to anyone else? Swear most of the petsmart ones die. I had the pet valu ones for like two weeks and not one died, just got petsmart ones on Saturday and I have four dead ones already. They have food and water too so idk if it’s just petsmart quality. the baby i nanny for turns 9 months at the end of this month. i work a typical 9-5 schedule. we rotate between 2 different rooms (his nursery & his mother’s craft room) inside the craft room is a tunnel and soft fabric mat with hanging toys. in his nursery is a water pad, books, & a few toys. down in the kitchen is a large play pin, ball pit, & 2 large foam blocks used for climbing. we rotate between these three areas, we eat food, drink milk, take baths, on nice weather days we go to the park or walk around the neighborhood, a couple of times to a store or petsmart to have a look around. we practice pulling up, standing, moving our feet. the problem is im SO BORE...

Should nitrate be present in a cycling tank without fish? (The guy at Petsmart said I should have a little) I've been Cycling a 30 gallon tank for a little over 3 weeks without fish. I tested the water with strips (they we out of the liquid test kits at 2 stores) and it's showing 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and basically 0 (barely pink) nitrate for about a week now. The tank has some live plants, sand and drift wood if that makes any difference and I put some of my old filter media in the new filter. I've been dosing with s...

I am coming to reddit because it feels like I have tried everything and my fish still keep dying. New 10 gallon tank, it is about a month in at this point, I wasn't aware of the need to let the tank cycle for 6 weeks before adding in fish. I had a 10 gallon growing up and never had an issue not cycling the tank before adding fish. So the first 2 fish that died I feel was from the tank not being fully cycled. Hi, i work at PetSmart (i know booo, but i do my best). On Valentine's Day we found a loose hamster in the men's bathroom. He's not ours, ours are all accounted for and we haven't lost any in too many years for it to be this one. This one has just been cleared by our exotic animals vet to go up for adoption. He's 100% free so you wouldn't be supporting our breeders by adopting him. We think a customer dumped him off in the store, which is seriously awful and I'm so glad we found him. Howdy y’all, I’m curious to see what’s a good place to buy fish from? No, I’m not interested in any big corporation pet store like petsmart or petco but an actual good quality store that treats their fish decently and they don’t always look like they’re swimming in feces ridden water? Also, that has a variety of fish to choose from. We used to go to Aquarium World on 290 but the place has long been gone and we haven’t been able to find anything like it. Thanks!

I only see Petco and petsmart around here. Are there any other more independent stores? My bristlenose plecos made around 11 babies. Looking for recommendations regarding if a fish store will take the babies, I have since separated them. Has anyone had luck with local fish stores in Savannah taking in baby fish?

he's my first betta and I got him at a specialty store for 9.99(🚫 petsmart all the bettas there were in rigor mortis) I just have a couple questions. \-can I add shrimp in the tank? it's a 5 gal \-how can I make the tank more engaging for him? is it too sparse? \-i think he's happy?
