Just brought home my first hognose (and snake in general). I work at a pet store so usually when I bring home an animal, I keep the name they had at the store. We had this guy named “Two-Toned Tom” and I just don’t like the name. Plus he was only there 5 days before I brought him home so I’m not used to calling him that. Current ideas are Sandy & Peaches. He was an unexpected gift size of a middle finger with petco “chameleon” enclosure kit. Small glass enclosure, plastic and dirt. I get through tons of research to give him best that I can, I bought stuff for him by payments cos I couldn’t afford pay all at once. I treated him from RI that he probably got at petco, cos I researched and spend time, energy and money. Guys, I just tired of posts when your chams are in horrible conditions, bad enclosures. Its a 55 gal, ill be upgrading to a 100 gal as soon as i get the money. I've had this tank for nearly 2 months and it was given to us from my boyfriend's grandma. There's 1 oscar, 3 plecos, and 4-5 small comets, 1 large. The comets are feeders for the oscar and he also gets pellets occasionally. Id prefer to keep light on the decoration because my oscar likes to move stuff around, as seen by the heater and air stone being in weird spots. I'm getting a ph strip test kit next time i go to town(i live 30 minutes away from the nearest pet store and only go to that town maybe once every 2 weeks). I have always had Betta Fish and Henry has been with me going on 2 years. The first year and a half he would swim all over his 10 gallon jar I have for him. I’ve never used a filter for him because the many I’ve had before never needed one. When we moved into our new house a few months back he was starting to slow down. I thought it was the water as the water is high in chlorine where I live now so I went straight filtered water. Now he just stays at the top and barely eats. Could it be I just got an older fish at the pet store and he’s on his way out or do I need to try a filter to help him out a bit? Anyone have any experience with this? I have some health & memory issues so I did not feel comfortable deegoogling my own phone, so I bought (way overpayed that is) a de-googled Pixel 3a (used in decent condition) but google play sandboxed or whatever has never worked, even made some burner mail accounts and still nothing, it also crashes a lot with things like tubular, pipepipe, newpipe, etc. is it time to upgrade or would a hard reset fix these issues? So this is my first time owning a fish and I’ve been doing the research and buying the supplies on my own. The first picture is the first day I filled my tank and started the cycle with the stability and prime seachem which is what the guy at my local fish store told me to do. My twins will be starting nursery soon, 3 days/week and as they're not a year old yet I'd like them to have ****** milk at nursery, probably twice a day. They're EBF so far and I haven't pumped at all so I'm trying to figure out how to start producing the necessary amount of milk, how to store it and how to serve it. My supply is fine but obviously well established by this point. I suspect I may have high lipaise milk as my twin does. So... how do I start? When do I pump in between feeds and will that increase my supply? I guess I'll need to pump when they would normally feed while they're in nursery. Then store that milk and use it for future nursery day...
