HELP with pag-ibig

16h ago

Hi! So I wanted to go open an MP1? or like a regular savings account with Pag-ibig voluntarily but i'm employed and a virtual dental assistant so it's voluntary. I've already signed up for an account through virtual pag-ibig (as in i've gone through the process of providing my Valid IDs + Selfie with the IDs) and I want to open the regular contributions something something but I am quite confused how to do that? Google says I have to update my membership as voluntary but I dont know where to find that exactly in the website? I can only see this (please see screenshot). Help i think I'm kinda dense haha https://preview.redd.it/342l18aqrrlf1.png?width=1440&fo...

Fast food has lagged the SP500. Their comeback story... beverages?

2d ago

Fast‑food chains have struggled with fewer customer visits and sluggish sales since last year. The reason for all this: price hikes and to a lesser extent, shifting consumer tastes. But they have a comeback plan... beverages. It makes sense when you think about it. Beverages have higher margins than food, require less labor to make, and have simpler supply chains (and longer shelf life in most cases). There is plenty of room for growth. Many customers skip drinks when placing meal orders, so it’s an easy boost if they are enticed to add one. Bold flavors and attractive visuals could fuel spontaneous purchases. **## McDonald’s Leads the Charge** McDonald's recently announce...

What I ate (with prices) in O'ahu, Hawai'i this past weekend (yes, you can go to a lu'au.)

2d ago

On Sunday I got back from my third visit to O'ahu in the past 11 months - yeah, my husband and I LOVE visiting Hawai'i that much! (I've been to O'ahu 6x, Big Island 2x, Maui 1x and Kaua'i 1x - O'ahu is still the easiest for gluten-free of those islands.) ## 🌺 Beware of Outdated Suggestions🌺 Unfortunately, there are no 100% gluten-free restaurants that are open with any sort of consistency in Honolulu on O'ahu where we stayed this time. Despite what people online tell you, they often haven't visited certain spots in years or it's something they heard secondhand, so their advice is either outdated or flat out wrong. For example, the one gl...

A culinary choice must be made. You have the power to save one of these global fast-food chains. All their restaurants, iconic menu items, and recipes will be erased from history as if they never existed. The other three will be gone forever. **Which fast-food giant are you saving?** * McDonald's * KFC * Taco Bell * Pizza Hut

Help me understand Arabians

4d ago

Hi everyone, I'm new to this group, my name is Tibi, I've been working in the hospitality industry for 3 years. I've done dishwashing, bar, kitchen, and now I've been a waiter for over 9 months. I work in Germany at lake Eibsee in the basin of the highest mountain of the country at a restaurant. We attract a lot of tourists from everywhere. There's Russians, Indians, Chinese, Arabians and basically all the countries inside of Europe. There's thousands of people here every day. Now I'm not gonna say anything about their tips, because I know it's not in their culture to tip people. However, they always come in, sit down at a table and start waving at us ...

Supply and Demand and Inflation

7d ago

Whenever someone says that prices never come down, or if they do that is deflation and is much worse than inflation, I wonder how this works in the supply/demand theory. If prices go up too high and people stop buying products, don't they have to come back down? A good example is the recent change to the McDonald's menu. They are attempting to regain their position as one of the least expensive fast food options. So my question is, why do we hear that this is never possible, or if it happens, it is bad news? EDIT: Grammar

What's Flowing in Restaurant Glasses Right Now: The Drinks Of 2025

7d ago

**What's Flowing in Restaurant Glasses Right Now: The Drinks Of 2025** Drinks now cost more than dinners, and no one blinks. Today, alcohol and not‑alcohol blur together in menus that read like magic spells. The glass has become a statement piece, a ticket to be photographed, tagged, and believed. You don’t just drink anymore. You perform with the drink. Wrist tilted just enough with condensation on the stem and smoke curling slowly over ice, glowing under bar light. Garnishes glittering, hanging like ornaments built for Instagram rather than mouths. The drink is bait. The drink is spectacle. The drink is how a place announces itself. The bar has become the stage, and each cocktai...

What are the top value meals in the city (price, quality, amount per serving)?

7d ago

I'm looking for your best budget friendly meals. Harris Teeter has the 7:99 whole sub and $5 sushi on Fridays and an 8.99 whole baked pizza on Mondays Lowe's Foods has been having the $5 per half-rack of ribs on Fridays and 6.99 rotisserie chickens Hickory Tavern has a 7.99 Burger on Mondays Sometimes I order two double hamburgers at McDonalds and that serves as a meal for under $5. BK has the two for five Whopper Jr.'s. What are your go to budget friendly meals? Do you make something from scratch that has a high yield for low $? What weekly deals or combination of menu items are your go to's for filling up and saving $??

If there's something that I caught from armys and BTS in the last few years, especially the post enlistment, is their infinite efforts of trying to climb up the music pyramids in the west Hybe PR efforts to ditch the K label and push bts above kpop. RM talking like their solo projects are some deep and thoughtful superior indie masterpieces. Each BTS member slowly separating from the childish bangtan's label and trying to push their connections and careers outside of korea. Their efforts and talks about wanting to get that Grammy. Unless someone's lives under a rock, i think we can all agree that both the group, the label, and the fandom are all more than ready for BTS to j...

Foods you can still tolerate vs Foods you no longer tolerate - what are yours and is there any connection?

9d ago

I'm really interested in whether there is any link between these foods that I can't stomach anymore, because I can't find anything that separates them from those that I could still eat comfortably. I'm nearly a year in and now at maintenance and these have been the case pretty much since day one (though chocolate was off the menu right at the start its made a comeback 😂) Food that makes me feel ill after just one bite, that I used to like - Cakes and Pastries Sausages Eggs Broccoli Fruit esp grapes and apples Sweets like Haribo Lager Bread Chips/Fries Fish Lattes Foods I can still tolerate well at a reasonable portion Cheese - cold sliced not melted Chocolate...

AITAH for taking my daughter out for a nice dinner and leaving everyone else to fend for themselves?

12d ago

My daughter (16f) and I (43f) love eating at authentic Asian restaurants. We had to pick my son (12) up at a Korean BBQ about 40 mins from our house (it was a party with another family). I suggested to my husband (44M) of 25 years that he and the two other kids can have whatever they wanted for dinner and my daughter and I would get Korean BBQ at this restaurant. He said no, we should all go as a family. I reminded him that he and the other kids aren't big fans of Korean BBQ and it would be cheaper to eat separately. He insisted on everyone going. When we get to the restaurant and he sees the menu he complains he doesn't know what to order and complains about the price. The other ...

I moved to Helsinki today, here's some random things I like about the city so far

13d ago

Hi everyone, I've moved to the city today for my study abroad year from Scotland, I'm in love with the city, it has such a lovely vibe to it! I thought I'd randomly write this post of things I like so far :) 1. Public transit is fast, clean and quiet, not only this but in general streets are quiet even when busy, I love how people stick to themselves, no one expects you to make small chat, no one makes awkward conversation at bus stops, I love it, even at the airport where it was busy, it was so quiet, barely anyone talking, it's like a dream come true, don't get me wrong I love my home country, but we are a loud bunch at times! Moreover, I was able to easily take ...

lol (A little AI Dive into the Fast food Franchise wars) The Last Bell: A Chronicle of Culinary Conquest

15d ago

If you ever watched the movie Demolition man in the future only Taco Bells existed, apparently there was some war amongst fast food restaurants so I figure why not see if AI can come up with a back story lol. Need to watch that movie again. Definitely need to dig deeper into this "McRibocalypse" Okay, here's a story about franchise wars escalating to an absurd conclusion, with Taco Bell emerging as the sole culinary survivor. It leans into dark humor and satire, so be warned! I'll aim for a tone that balances the ridiculousness with a touch of melancholy about lost diversity. The Last Bell: A Chronicle of Culinary Conquest The year is 2147. The shimmering skyscrapers ...

$MCD 2025-Q2 Earnings Call Summary

16d ago

In the second quarter of 2025, McDonald's reported a global system-wide sales growth exceeding 6% in constant currency and nearly 4% in comparable sales. The company noted its success in driving guest counts globally through effective value propositions, innovative marketing, and competitive menu offerings. Despite ongoing inflationary pressures, especially in Europe, McDonald's emphasized its agility in adapting to market conditions, with significant performance improvements seen across its international markets. In the U.S., however, the fast-food giant faced challenges, particularly with low-income consumers, leading to cautious optimism regarding future traffic recovery. Key H...

(26 days left) Posting 49ers cards from my collection until the season starts [11/36]

16d ago

This is a Joe Montana 1986 McDonald's green tab (not scratched off) card. First off these cards are huge! They were promotions in California they came in green, orange, black and blue. You would scratch off to get something free like fries or a big Mac. These are very 1980s with the color and logos they are huge and looked sharp! Worth $100-$150

A bit of history about MickeyD

Do these places still exist in the city?

17d ago

Loooong post alert! TL:DR - Millenial kid who grew up in the city in late 90's being nostalgic and extra emo on a boring Monday night. I've spent around seven years of my life in Chennai from 1997 to 2004 and have practically spent my initial growing up years here (from 1st to 7th standard) and the city still remains to be the closest to my heart ever since I left since I've spent the most memorable years of my childhood here and could do anything to get those memories back. I used to live in the area of Anna Nagar and Taylors Road back then and loved every bit of it, so much that time and again I keep opening Google Street View to revisit those places. However, the more v...
