I got the wrong food, but I’ve never seen this item on the menu. It was supposed to be chicken selects.

What's your favorite local fast food that isn't a national chain?

3d ago

I figure most big cities and even many smaller towns have a local fast food place or even a local chain that you love, that isn't a national chain like McDonald's or Wendy's. Here in the Seattle area, my favorite is ****'s, a simple hamburger drive-up joint with a menu that looks and sounds basic, but delivers the goods if you just want yummy hot food in your tummy. They have several locations in this specific area but not anywhere else as far as I know. Not only is the food good, they have a great reputation in the area for being good community partners, have always paid their employees a fair wage well above the minimum wage, and even offer health and education benefit...

Help me make history

3d ago

For the longest time all I’ve wanted was to add a burger to the official McDonalds menu. I’ve had countless sleepless nights, thinking of ways to make a revolutionary masterclass that will change the fast food world forever. Now I have finally received an opportunity and I won’t let it slip. Please help me and vote for my burger with a click on the heart (no login required)! People that refer to regular tech advances as AI

3d ago

Why is everything just called AI these days. I was listening to a podcast and the topic was about teenagers losing job opportunities to AI and one of the job types they were losing was from Fast Food places using kiosks to replace cashiers. How is that AI? It's just a plain old kiosk. There's no machine learning going on. There's no RTX-5070 being used. It's just a crusty old McDonald's franchise owner eliminating jobs by having an interactive picture menu with a credit card reader. Now, if you really wanted an AI kiosk, it better greet me as I approach and identify me as a regular and ask if I want my regular meal or would I rather try something different today. H...

Just been told by a staff member that we can’t do custom extras anymore.

5d ago

I’ve just had a staff member explain to me that they removed the extra ‘Ask Me’ button from their system, and been told that the only extras allowed are what come up on the system/menu. The higher ups are apparently being ‘strict’ about this. So you can get extra ketchup on a quarter pounder, or even add sandwich sauce - but not more extra Big Tasty sauce on a Big Tasty. You can’t even ask for extra gherkins, if it’s not enabled on the burger’s options. I’m sick and tired of what McDonald’s has become. From removing options like the double quarter pounder from the rewards menu in the app (and increasing the cost of the Big Mac to 5500 pts in the same sweep), to the tin...

McDonald’s Thailand and Kakao Friends Introduce a Limited Seasonal Menu Return

6d ago

McDonald’s Thailand returns with a limited seasonal menu in collaboration with Kakao Friends, bringing back familiar flavours alongside the beloved Choonsik character. The seasonal menu marks a thoughtful return to comfort, pairing a prosperity-style burger with character-led collectibles that extend the experience beyond the meal. Designed to fit naturally into everyday routines, the collaboration blends food, familiarity, and optimism in a way that resonates across the season. This limited menu return reflects how fast food in Asia continues to evolve - where seasonal offerings are not just about taste, but about shared moments, emotional connection, and everyday rituals. Discover how...

Day 8: Struggle Day - Food & Sights

6d ago

It's been more than a week since I landed in Sapporo! Have been documenting what I've eaten thus far, and today is day 8. After a bit of reckless spending in the first week, I decided to declare today STRUGGLE DAY, and eat only fast food. Fast food in my opinion, is a great and affordable way to explore a country's F&B scene. Day begins with a non-negotiable every trip to Sapporo - MOS. I typically try to get their limited time menu items, but honestly I've never had a bad meal at MOS. The cosy shop near Hokkaido University I always go to is super near my hotel, and always served by the loveliest old ladies who seem to take great pride in the food. The vegetable...

What do you get for Breakfast?

8d ago

I just wanted to ask this because I'm curious on what you guys get and I love talking about food and I'm bored and just want to talk about McDonald's breakfast I get the hotcakes (sometimes with sausage on side), hot cake big breakfast, sausage biscuit, or a hash brown. I don't get everything just at different times I get different menu items.

Red Robin $9.99 Big Yummm Burger Deal - Great value

8d ago

$10 for a mid-tier burger alone is common these days; and that's generally *without* fries. My trip to Red Robin today revealed exactly why they were crowded, even at 2pm. Their $9.99 deal was the draw; a double patty burger, plus bottomless fries and a bottomless drink. So, what stood out? **The service:** I was seated quickly and given a minute to look over the (huge) menu before ordering. I chose the steak fries as my side and paid a small upcharge to switch from bottomless soda to bottomless strawberry lemonade. My drink arrived almost instantaneously, along with a small basket of hot, fresh fries to eat while I waited -- a whole 3 minutes -- for my burger to arrive. **Value...

Foodie report focusing on mainly fast casual

8d ago

Hi everyone, we (family of 3, with a young child) just got back from a 6 day vacation in Maui and wanted to provided reviews for food spots. I am a big foodie from a food capital (Los Angeles) so eating good food is really important to me where ever we go. A few comments on food overall: 1. Portion sizes are small compared to mainland US. We are small people and in Los Angeles, we typically split entrees. In Maui, most of the time every person in our family (including our 4 year old) had to have their own entrée in order to be adequately full. 2. Eating out is about $20-$25 an entrée whether we went to food trucks, fast casual or restaurants. I think this is the price food places think t...

Burger buzz Mississauga chicken burger $5.99x2

11d ago

For 5.99 it's just the one burger. I popped them into the toaster oven with some cheese on top and made some fries. You for sure don't get the whiskey and coke(Pepsi) chicken was tender and spiced well. They sat a bit and the fella behind the counter was cool enough to swap for fresh buns and toppings!! So that's rad. 8.9/10 to be fair these are 10.99 burgers. Not $15. But I'm happy. And that's what's important.

Seeing olive oil in McDonald's

18d ago

It was a nice suprise that a fast food chain like McDonald's has olive oil option in the menu

I predict that rewards is going to go downhill quick in the new year.

18d ago

McDonald’s has been well known for having one of the best fast food rewards programs/apps. You were pretty much losing money if you didn’t use the app. The deals were great, and although the points didn’t get you much, they still added up quickly. Over the last year, there has been a prevalence of locations moving towards kiosk/mobile only ordering and no displayed menus. The deals have been getting worse too. I remember when there was the Big Mac deal that you could get a medium meal for 6$. They removed it from the app and recently added the big meal deal to the actual menu, which now costs 8$. They got rid of the free fries with a drink deal. There are less overall deals, and the ...

The rotund object

18d ago

Apperantly my last tank of 2025. Yeah idk what to say, it just looks fat wich i suppose is accurate to American folk, yes it is an interwar design and yes, it got 60mm of armor all around including the turret, yes it is overkill, and yes, it ate the entire McDonalds food menu

Arby's Meats and 3 box, $9.99 French Dip edition

19d ago

Had to nab Arby's new Meat and 3 box! They come in two editions: a chicken sandwich version for $7.99, and a French Dip version for $9.99. Now, I love their french dip, so when I saw that you could get that and curly fries, mozerella sticks, a drink (not shown), AND one of their new peach cobbler pies for dessert, for a relatively good price nowadays, I had to snatch it up. Not much to say about the food since almost everything is their typical menu stuff, but I do like how how nice the box is and how everything besides the drink fits inside so well. It's just a basic box, doesn't even have compartments or anything, but the sleek black box and the logo gives it a clean look t...

The McDonalds App ***** so bad

19d ago

It's literally the worst design ever. Why do I need to choose my location and pickup option for like every single freaking item??? And why does my bag keep popping up with every item? I don't want to order JUST a chicken sandwich. Why is it taking me right to checkout? When trying to order fries, I have to tap like 6 times and go to 4 different pages just to choose a medium fry. It's not even clear where to tap, I literally get confused because there are very few distinct buttons. Literally nowhere on the fries page does it show a button to tap or a size choice or even add to cart. Why is the menu so convoluted??? Who is their UX/UI team?! Have they ever used a food app be...

Post-pandemic world/economy is depressing.

20d ago

I look back at what the world was like in 2019, and it's like night and day compared to now. Everything is so much more expensive. I remember being able to go to fast food places like Arby's and McDonald's for their $1 menu. Now you're lucky if you get a meal for $8-10. I saw a loaf of Sara Lee bread at the store for $4.59 and almost had a (figurative) meltdown. Even hobbies like video games are crazy now -- an Xbox is $650 and some games are $80. But worst of all is the housing market. A 2-bedroom apartment where I live was $700 then, and now $1500. I've spent years saving up and working hard to hopefully become a homeowner, but that dream has become increasingly o...
