From Pharma to MPH? Would recommend some advice39d agoHi all, I’m a 23-year-old pharmacy student from India, currently entering my final year of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm). I also hold a Diploma in Pharmacy and am a licensed pharmacist with around 2 years of work experience, mainly in retail/public settings, including Apollo Pharmacy. Lately, I’ve been strongly considering pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH), possibly in Australia or New Zealand (for the July 2026 intake). My motivation comes from seeing the gaps in public awareness, access to care, and the need for better preventive and community-level health strategies — things that go beyond just dispensing medications. I’m particularly interested in: • Health promotion... Beginners Guide: Frequently Asked Questions39d agoCongratulations on taking a significant step forward! Amazon just soft-launched its own diagnostics service in India, but the real move happened months ago 👀52d agoBack in Dec 2024, Amazon’s corporate VC fund “Smbhav” quietly led a $12M funding round into a diagnostics startup called Orange Health Labs. Fast forward to now — Amazon Diagnostics is here. But it’s not building stuff from scratch. Instead… Amazon brings in the customers. Orange Health handles the tests. It’s live in 450 pin codes across Bengaluru, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai & Hyderabad. Why Orange Health? What’s special? It’s not your regular lab company. They’re playing the speed + logistics game. Sample pickup in 60 mins, reports in 6 hours. Only operate in money-heavy metro cities (high density, high income). Think of them as the Zepto of di... whats the meaning of my weird dream?84d agoSo 2 or 3 nights ago I took 2 pseudoephedrine (60mg each) at once bcs I felt rlly sick and I couldnt breathe or sleep bcs of my stuffed nose, then I slept for 10 hrs straight, it didnt feel that long tho. Sources for cheaper insulin in Indore263d agoMy mom has diabetes (kinda gave that part away with the title) but the thing is she is extremely and puzzlingly insulin resistant. She requires very high doses through an insulin pump. Daily usage is about 180 units. If you know the 3 ml insulin cartridges she goes through 15 a month but actually more like 18 due to wastage in pump operations etc. Then on top of that pump's disposables etc which need to be replaced every 2 days because of the high dose. I am really searching for two things: 1. Vials: Some insulins come in vials that where the per unit price is almost 33% less. They are available in other cities but not in Indore, Apollo Pharmacy or 1mg/pharmeasy etc either. 2. If no... My Honest Review of Pregnancy Tests in India369d agoI've been on the TTC journey for a bit now and have tried quite a few pregnancy tests available in India. Here’s my take on some of the most popular ones: 1. Prega News: This one, in my experience, is the absolute worst. It’s notorious for indents and evaporation lines. The test lines never seem to get dark enough, which leaves you second-guessing the results. You might have better luck with their "advanced" version, but for me, it’s just been a series of misleading results. 2. Ezze Find: This brand is infamous for false positives. They market it as the Indian equivalent of a First Response Early Result (FRER), but from what I’ve seen, there aren’t any early detec... It's been a week since I've been here and I'm catching fake copies of everyday use products like Kinley, Himalayan water bottles, skin care ointments, and room fresheners to name a few. It's the same from Ratnadeep, and Apollo pharmacy to roadside mom&pop stores. Even though we are catching up with developed countries in terms of GDP numbers, the quality of life seems to be going downhill. What's your take on this?
