Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Harris Teeter Store Latest Community Discussions About Harris Teeter StoresHonoring NCs retail workers2d agoFrom Greensboro’s Gwen Frisbie-Fulton: When I was in middle school, my grandma took a part-time job at the mall’s gift-wrapping counter. She showed me how she tied the big, beautiful glittery gold bows and the fancy way she’d been taught to fold the corners on the red plaid wrapping paper. I just about died at how pretty it all was. Imagine a job where you get to make things look so lovely, bringing such cheer! I was dazzled by it and could see myself someday sitting at that counter, surrounded by colorful ribbons and papers. Imagine my surprise, then, when I overheard my grandma on the phone with her sister, describing her new job as “an absolute living ****.” I’ve learned ... Gallstone induced pancreatitis13d agoI wanted to share my gallstone pancreatitis journey because when I was going through it, I searched everywhere for similar stories. Hopefully, this helps someone recognize what’s going on before things get as serious as they did for me. I have never really had major physical health issues in my life. I have been a little overweight and my cholesterol was getting a little higher over the last few years but nothing tremendously wrong with me. I'm about 5'11 or 6' and hovering around 240 lbs. I went on vacation with my wife and toddler children for spring break to a resort area. It was the week of April 13-19. We were eating poorly, as one will on vacation. A lot of fast food... Rat penises?14d agoLooking to buy some rat penises in bulk for a dish I am looking to prepare. I am an aspiring chef. These have to be fresh, no reconstituted Frozen or second-rate rat penises will do. Also nothing from a rat that was found in a trap or found dead lying somewhere. Especially no rats that have been poisoned. It will seep into the food and make people sick. I've also tried Harris teeter, Walmart, food lion, Piggly wiggly, LIDL, Kroger and believe it or not even Grand Mart. Kluski noodles14d agoTrying to find Kluski noodles and went to Harris teeter, Food Lion, Kroger and Lidl and no one had them. Does anyone know if anywhere around here sells them? Recipe Reccomendation14d agoDoes anyone have a recipe or soup recommendation that is similar to this soup? I’m autistic and this was one of my favorite soups growing up. I’ve tried pretty much every tomato soup in Harris Teeter and Whole Foods. I haven’t tried to make any from scratch because I can’t figure out what soup recipe would be similar. Thanks! Best affordable grocery store in ILM?14d agoOn the hunt for the best, but most affordable, grocery store. Particularly want to know where folks are getting quality produce. I frequent at Harris Teeter on Oleander and Independence and while it’s not like I’m buy things at Whole Foods prices, I feel like I could find a more affordable option. Thank you!! Urgent Donation Need for ICE-affected families16d agoThe Durham Community Care Collective has been working to get food to families affected by ICE raids. We got food to 650 families yesterday and are planning another 500 Tuesday and 500 Saturday. We are in urgent need of the following items (and ONLY these): **1. Abuelita Hot Chocolate Tablets (19oz)** **2. Canned Jalapenos (26oz)** **3. UHT Shelf Stable milk (1qt)** We are asking that folks buy these today (Sunday) or tomorrow morning (Monday). **If you are willing to help, I need you to read the following very very carefully, and only do this if you can do all the below:** ***Do NOT buy from Latino-run grocery stores***. They are overbought and understaffed at this point. If you... I love misprinted labels lol18d agoDidn’t know that this subreddit existed or I would’ve posted this back when I first got these. Was shopping a couple of months ago and came across an entire display case full of these, as well as some Angus patties. I immediately loaded my cart up and went to check out and the cashier tried to give me a hard time because it was an obvious mistake. Called the manager over who was visibly upset about it but said they had no choice but to sell them to me at the listed price. I still have a mini deep freezer full of these burgers lol. Cooking Non-sushi grade tuna22d agoI sometimes see yellowfin tuna on sale at Harris Teeter. It’s all previously frozen stuff which can be bought in individually frozen steaks. However, it’s not marketed as “sushi grade.” It’s typically 10 to 12 bucks a pound. Question—I don’t dare eat it totally raw. But how about seared, where it is still basically raw in the middle. Any food safety concerns? 2 store haul. Fayetteville nc25d ago1) Harris Teeter. Total $116.90. Vic savings $23.08. Not pictured is cat litter. 2) Food Lion. Total $50.44. Savings $1.29 I only went to the second because I forgot beef stock and it was on the way home. I got caught up in the meat section 😔 everything was on manager special (I freeze it all anyway). Getting all my groceries delivered and saving 10% while doing it26d agoThis only works in a major metro area, but so far it has been immensely satisfying. Costco has Doordash gift cards available for 20% off, and lets you buy $200 of them each trip. Doordash has a ton of grocery stores in our area, and makes it really easy to comparison shop for different items. Aldi and Food Lion seem like the best bets overall, but sometimes Harris Teeter has the best deals too. If you have Dashpass you can get no fee deliveries for spending $60 of credit, which you actually only paid $48 for. Prices are slightly inflated compared to shopping in store and you should tip, so I estimate the real world savings at about 10% once you factor in how much easier comparison shopp... ECONOMIC BOYCOTT STARTING 11/21/2025 - $$$ DOLLARS SHOULDN'T FUND DICTATORS! $$$27d agoBoycotts provide a clear and recognized signal of dissent: choosing not to purchase from or support a brand or institution immediately shows you object to its practices. They can apply real pressure to large corporations by threatening both reputation and revenue, prompting some to change policies or increase transparency. Boycotts also have power beyond financial impact: they’re tools of solidarity, public education, and raising media attention around issues that may otherwise persist under the radar. Ultimately, when well-targeted and backed by realistic goals, boycotts can be an accessible and meaningful way for consumers to engage with and influence corporate or institutional behavior... 80 Days before the next CR - 10 things to prepare for possible future Furlough, RIFS, and continued onslaught of the Fed...28d agoI have been a civil servant 17+ years; I have been excepted in past shutdowns, this has been my first time being furloughed. When your on instacart.29d agoWhat are your performance in stores. It seems like dollar tree in my area barely has the items that customers want in my area. Food lion, harris teeter or Sam’s Club is the best. I can’t wait to see Walmart as I been seeing others already have it. Just not available in my zone yet.
