Banquet of Fools RPG with native mac version

1h ago

A new RPG on steam that I never heard anything about before but looks kinda interesting. And it has both a mac version as well as a demo to try out: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/3172700/Banquet\_for\_Fools/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3172700/Banquet_for_Fools/) Found it through this post here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1rp9orm/banquet\_for\_fools\_is\_a\_crpg\_like\_no\_other\_and\_the/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1rp9orm/banquet_for_fools_is_a_crpg_like_no_other_and_the/)

I'm making a prison intake officer simulator. Here's how inmate inspections work

1h ago

Hi! We’re currently developing [Intake Protocol](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4414930/Intake_protocol/), a game where you work as a prison intake officer inspecting incoming inmates before they enter the facility. Using different tools like scanners, document checks, and medical inspections, you’ll need to detect contraband, injuries, and suspicious signs that prisoners might be trying to hide. We’re currently trying to figure out whether the core gameplay loop feels interesting enough - inspecting prisoners, making decisions, and managing potential threats before they get inside the prison. I’d really like to hear what other indie developers and players think about the conc...

Do we underestimate how important marketing is for indie games? (Round 2)

1h ago

At the end of last year, I shared the second iteration of my calculator for market analysis and insights into games and apps. And I received a lot of valuable feedback from all of you (thanks again!). Now it's time for the next round. You might ask why I created this calculator. Mainly, it’s because the expectations from being wishlisted to actually purchased are still very far apart. I also wanted to show how important marketing is and the impact it has. I know marketing can be frustrating, I don’t love it either, but getting your game seen is the only way to make it successful. To give you a number: around 8% of indie games generate 80% of the total revenue. As you can see, succ...

I reached mythic playing solely Pick 2 TMNT. Here are my trophy lists from along the way. Roast me.

Piece of advice 1: I have a massive preference for Black/White and Black/Green in this format. I've found it VERY difficult to draft anything else. It was only outlier decks in lower leagues that did well when I strayed from what I knew. Find your pick order that works for most tables and trust it. Piece of advice 2: many of these decks were built wrong initially. Maybe I forced ninjas too hard, maybe I tried something too weird, but I DID manage to draft a reasonable deck, it just took getting steam rolled first to find out! Many of these decks essentially managed 4-0. If you notice that your opponents draw was mediocre and you still lost, go back to the drawing board, and treat it l...

Local League Cricket – Simple ball-by-ball scorer for street, village & local matches. Feedback on listing, AS...

1h ago

Hey r/googleplayconsole folks! I've been publishing on Play for a while now, but excited to share my latest release: **Local League Cricket – Quick Match Scorer**. It's a clean, offline-first app made for casual cricket lovers—street games, village tournaments, school/practice matches, friendlys—where paper scoresheets always end up lost or disputed. Core idea: Make scoring fast and reliable without any fluff. No login for quick matches, just pick teams + overs and go. Highlights: * Instant setup: Team names + overs * One-tap buttons for 0/1/2/3/4/6, wicket, wide, no-ball * Auto-tracks overs/balls * Full ball-by-ball history (e.g., Over 1: 1 0 4 2 W 1) for easy review/ve...

(Ignoring memes, we might be getting at least a patch soon. "Public branch" changes only happen when an update is coming. Last one was on January 15th, before the last patch dropped.)

Final Breakdown of Pull Income for 1.0 (272-362 Limited Pulls)

1h ago

Hello everybody, on the cusp of 1.1 dropping, I wanted to share something I've been working on for weeks - a tracking of pull income for 1.0. I will be doing the same for 1.1 so look forward to a similar post when we get towards the end of that patch with another breakdown. If you're just looking for some quick numbers, here you go. I explain all of this in detail below (and more besides). https://preview.redd.it/83wxu7x90eog1.png?width=484&format=png&auto=webp&s=96579658b2cba6f4ab84010d4b35f6cf3b6e17bb # F2P Pull Counting To begin with, you'll notice that in the title I give a range of pulls between 272 and 362. This is because the game offers thre...

A thank you and a life lesson

1h ago

Thank you Ubiquiti for having built teleport. No ****, teleport saved a tremendous amount of personal administrative problems in my immediate life. Let me explain. Last week i slipped on black ice and fractured my tibia and fibula. Required surgery, hospital stay, now I'm in a nursing home for OT and PT for a week or two. All told, probably out of house for 3-4 weeks. My families budget, a spreadsheet stored on my unraid server, was inaccessible to myself. My wife had no idea how file shares work, and the account credentials are on my personal pc password manager. Normally, none of this is a problem. Until the primary bill payer is incapacitated (in this case) or dead (worst case sce...

How do you usually find artists for a super small indie project?

1h ago

Hi everyone! I recently finished a small point-and-click game that I made entirely by myself using Unity and Adventure Creator ([link ](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4352920/Upstairs/)if anyone’s curious). It’s a short game, but it was a great learning experience. Now I’m starting to think about my next project. It will also be a point-and-click, but much more ambitious: roughly three times more locations and a more developed sci-fi story in the style of Brian Aldiss, Arthur C. Clarke, and Stanislaw Lem. The problem is that I have very limited free time (full-time job + a small daughter), and I don’t want this project to take 10 years just because I insist on doing everything...

[REQUEST] [STEAM] Resident Evil Requiem (2nd Attempt) - Leon Questioned "Where's everyone going, bingo?" ...

1h ago

***"Where's everyone going, bingo? Oh wait I'm the one going to bingo-"*** Hey y'all!! I'm back with the 2nd attempt, and this time I'm gonna spice some things up. Looking back on the previous attempt, it was kinda hard to sense my ***LOVE*** and ***PASSION*** for Resident Evil in the request, so this time I'll be sharing some more things.. I've been a huge Resident Evil fan ever since getting my RE2R key from this exact subreddit in 2023. Ever since my RE2R playthrough, I've been slowly devouring the RE franchise bit by bit. I love RE2R, it's one of my favorite RE games. The RPD section in the game has to be top 10 areas in gaming o...

Binding of Isaac Mac App Store?

1h ago

I was thinking about getting binding of Isaac on my Mac but saw that the latest DLC is not supported in Steam, after some further research I found that you could get it all in the Mac App Store on what I believe is the iPad version of the game. Does anyone have any experience running this version of the game on Mac? Does it support keyboard controls? Is it worth it?

Working on a typing TD - what towers do you think I should add? 😀

1h ago

Heya, hope you're all fine! 👋 Still working on my typing tower defense game called **type:def** \- right now the demo only has 3 tower types but I'm thinking of adding more: what do you think I should implement? 😀 (Or should I just keep a low number of towers and give them updates to specialise them in different ways, which is kind of the current way it works in the demo? 😅) Right now, the 3 tower types: * B(asic): the starter tower with medium stats and attacks in basic single shots * A(rea): low range and medium damage, attacks in zone * S(niper): low fire rate and high damage, attacks in beam And what I have on my to-do list: * F(ast): super high fire rate, low ra...

V100 home lab bible, amalgamation of AI research.

I keep seeing the same misconceptions repeated and the same questions asked, so I put together a comprehensive reference document and I'm posting it here. Full disclosure I'm still in research mode and learning, but I've put a lot of hours into this with AI assistance cross-referencing Chinese hardware communities, English blogs, Bilibili build videos, Taobao listings, and server datasheets. Take it for what it's w...
