Pirates: Rogue’s Fortune, my childhood dream is coming true!

3h ago

We all have moments in life when we can feel that an event, a happy one in this case, is going to stay with us forever. For me, it was when I was 12, back in 1993, on a winter Saturday, when my parents gifted me my first computer, an Olivetti 486. I’ll never forget it. A real surprise, along with an incredible game, Monkey Island. Pirates had entered my life. Then came Monkey Island 2, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, and much later Black Flag and Sea of Thieves. I started tinkering, played around with Klik & Play from magazine cover disks, discovered Paintbrush (yes, it did the job back then), and I knew that one day I would make my own game too. A pirate game, maybe. I just had to be pat...

Old Forum Solution

4h ago

I need some help figuring out what the old forum solution used to be for everyone running their old Minecraft servers. Pretty sure it was a game server forum that had some store funtionality built in that had a plugin for Minecraft. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called but I miss them old days. Anyone able to help out?

Games Workshop stores are no longer true hobby spaces. Are there any stores in London that capture the way they used to ...

4h ago

I started playing 40k in 2000 with 3rd edition. It didn't take long for my local Games Workshop store to become my second home. I would spend my entire summer holiday there hanging out painting and gaming. Every weekend I'd be there for at least one full day. Now I'm older and want to pick the game up again but I realise a big part of what made me love 40k was that environment. My local Warhammer store is Tottenham Court Road and to be honest it's totally rubbish. It feels completely soulless compared to the hobby shops of my youth. Are there any games stores in London that offer space to paint, play pickup games and socialise with other hobbyists like the good old day...

In regards to Woolie's question about In-Person VS Online when it comes to TCGs (specifically Magic the Gathering)

4h ago

So, during this week's Podcast Woolie asked/talked about how the difference between in person meet up's VS online communities can drastically affect a game's perception and how people in that community play it and since he asked/mentioned TCG's by name I figured I'd give my two cents about it. The first time I played Magic was through messing with my older cousin's collection of cards all the way back in the year 2000 and for the next Five or so years I'd learn how to play Magic by playing with him whenever he got new cards and even went to local stores at the time to see much older people playing, it wasn't until 20005 with the original Ravnica set t...

Sorry I just don’t know where to put this excitement I feel blessed by the emperor! The guy ran a hobby store that sold model trains and was sent all this by GW over the years in sample boxes. This was sitting in a pile saying ‘assorted board game pieces $150’ I literally looked around for a hidden camera. They will all be yellow soon brothers!

Dominus Automa: From a side project to full-time development (and our team just doubled!)

4h ago

Remember us? A while ago, we posted here as a group of 30+ RPG veterans and parents who were fed up with not having enough time for the games we love. We decided to do something crazy: build Dominus Automa - an automated Multiplayer RPG that grinds for you 24/7 while you handle real life. We’re back with some news because a lot has changed and we wanted to give you a real update on where we are. Saying that, we are officially switching from side project to pre-production of the game! Our team just grew from 4 to 8 people, This is a massive leap for us and, to be honest, it means we need your support and engagement now more than ever to make this happen - It's a huge commitment, but w...

Help with eaglercraft velocity ips

I have made a 1.8.8 velocity paper server and i have added the eaglerxserver plugin and eagler backend plugin. The ip forwarding had been working and had been correctly getting players ips and not [127.0.0.1](http://127.0.0.1), but now the ips arent forwarding and all players are 127.0.0.1. Ive tried alot to try to figure out why it wasnt working, i updated my config and everything. Any help would be appreciated, here are my configs: velocity.toml: `# Config version. Do not change this` `config-version = "2.7"` `# What port should the proxy be bound to? By default, we'll bind to all addresses on port 25565.` `bind = "127.0.0.1:25565"` `# What should be the ...

I am making a game where you play as an NPC in an MMORPG. It is called MMORPG NPC Simulator.

4h ago

It’s a **simulation/management** game where you control an NPC inside an MMORPG, interacting with both players and the world. You start as a simple shopkeeper, creating quests, trading with players, and upgrading items to earn more. Over time, your NPC role evolves; hiring players into raid teams, equipping them with weapons and armor, and sending them into dungeons to gather loot. Eventually, you gain Game Master–like abilities, giving you greater control over the MMORPG itself. Releasing new items, tweaking drop rates, launching events, and even re-writing the rules of the game. I would really love to hear your thoughts and ideas about what you would like to see in a world like thi...
