I love playing the mobile game ads that pop up, and especially love seeing how far I can get into the “level” before the App Store pops up so much to the point that it’s unplayable. My thought process — if I can get the joy of playing the game and I don’t have to download the app, why not try it out? I’m entertained with a mini game, they make money off me, win win lol. Every once in a while I’ll download an app and play it for a couple days, but usually will delete pretty quickly. I just genuinely enjoy every once in a while playing the game as an ad on another app.

I'm currently using a gaming laptop I got years ago for college with these specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H @ 2.6 GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti BIWIN SSD 500 GB 16 GB RAM It has far exceeded my expectations but I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm very tempted by the Cyberpower PC because from what I've seen everyone seems to think it's a great deal, but it is definitely pushing my budget, especially since I need to get a monitor and keyboard too. I’ve been feeling a slight itch to buy a used Switch 2 at GameStop through trade ins (pro membership), but on the fence. I have switch 1 V2, Switch oled, 4 sets of joy cons, two pro controllers, and a handful of games I don’t really want that would cover the switch 2, but is it worth it now or keep holding out? Pokémon Winds/Waves some time next year will mainly be reason for me to upgrade as those are the main titles I play on switch. Sort of wanted to wait for some special edition/oled switch 2, but I do have the slight itch to upgrade now. Just curious on people’s thoughts about upgrading now or waiting til winds/waves release.

I take the Paris public transits every day and at some point I wanted a way to track which lines and stations I'd actually been on. I dug into the public transit data and realized it could be fun to turn it into a collection game. Métropolist lets you log your travels and tracks what you've visited. You earn XP, level up, unlock badges for each line, and there are 34 achievements, including a few hidden ones. It's fully offline since the metro network is spotty, the entire transit database (\~9MB) ships with the app. No ads, no account, no tracking. iCloud sync if you have multiple devices. So today, another popular MMO (Runescape) announced a price increase to their subscription costs. Now, r/Runescape has been going a bit nuts over it, and whenever this happens players often compare it to other MMOs. So, I feel like $15 a month for a game that most players definitely play more than 20-30 hours/month really isn't that bad of a deal. I recently lost my job. I got sick at work and they forced me to go home despite me wanting to stay and finish my assignments.
