Good afternoon everyone! I just moved into my first apartment and I’m trying to be smart about budgeting, so I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any furniture, wall art, or anything like that for sale. I could go to furniture stores, but I’d rather see if I can find things that are more affordable and still in good condition. If anyone is selling anything relatively new or has suggestions on where to look, I’d really appreciate it! You’re lured in by good prices and customization but the fabrics never last as long as they tell you and the build quality is genuinely terrible. The designers are pressured by corporate to hit their numbers every month so they’re just trying to sell you things that are more expensive and will tell you something without it being the truth. Delivery timelines are always a lie and will never be within the 8-12 weeks that’s promised. I just finished my latest project. We had this spot that didn’t fit any reasonably priced entry benches so I decided to make my own. The frame is made using only dowels on the rails, stiles, and legs. The shelf is held in place with a dado on each leg. This is the first piece I’ve made that actually feels professional.
