I've had ulcerative proctitis for 7 years. I've been on treatment for 3 months with one mesalamine suppository daily, which stopped the blood and mucus. But for the past 3 weeks (since I significantly cut down on fast food), I spend most of the week with almost no bowel movements, followed by one horrible bout of diarrhea. Right now I think I might be backed up, but I'm not sure, it's awful. I'm eating fiber, but I don't even know if this is related to the ulcerative proctitis, and I'm not sure what to do.
