I've applied to 50 food service jobs over the past week or two and I haven't gotten a single reply. I'm so confused and angry. Why is it so hard to get a simple job? Am I doing something wrong? What are some fast food places that are hiring full-time?

I’m looking to try some new local spots around Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley and would love recommendations from people who actually live here. What are the underrated, mom-and-pop, or hole-in-the-wall restaurants that you think deserve way more attention? I need a degree and FAST to survive but I don’t want to waste money and time on something that will still limit me in the future. I was hoping to get into logistics or supply chain and perhaps get my pmp or even go back to school for a masters much later on. Will this degree hold me back? Will it be best to go to a university or will it be treated fairly similarly with extra certs, etc?

I am planning a PCT adventure starting late March 2026. I am type II. I know the norm is High carbs Mid fats and some protein. But I unfortunately need the opposite for stable glucose levels. I haven't done nearly the same as the PCT will require of my body but I'm asking for the advice of other fellow hikers in this same issue. What do you guys or gals or other do?
