I know I can create a instrument group and then send different MIDI ranges to each chain. But I can "distribute&quo...

The idea is to take advantage of mono VSTs and get some voices out of it I could just make 12 equal chains of the same VST with the same preset and then use "distribute range", but that becomes complicated fast, specially if you want to have a few octaves in your hand So, let's imagine a 4 voiced synth, if you play E2 - G2 - B2, the notes will be sent to chain1, chain2 and chain3, respectability. But when you play the next notes, D2 - F2, the notes go to chain4 and then to chain2 It's kinda like a "first in last out" situation, where the next note you play goes to the last chain that was used or something

Are there any restaurants that sell palm weevil larvae or mopane worms in NYC?

3h ago

Just learned about these delicacies, and I'd like to try them. Mopane is usually even dehydrated so I might have a chance with some dry goods stores. Palm weevil larvae are usually eaten raw or roasted, so that might be harder, but the roasted ones seem like they'd be the most interesting culinarily. All this talk about digestive enzymes

3h ago

A genuine question, and I wanted to ask the r/laundry community first. Also, not sure if this has been asked before, but I wanted to throw it out there. So I've noted that pancreatic enzymes have been popular recently in laundry additives and detergents, which help to break down proteins, starches, fats, etc that are deposited on our clothes. Anyways, would simply buying a digestive enzyme (pic attached) from any retailer, grinding the pill, and adding it to your cycle (along with a detergent) not simply work the same? Considering you calculated the amount of enzymes needed to effectively clean your clothes.

A human from 10000 years ago would have been able to learn how to drive a car

I'm not anti scaling, it has loads of uses, might even take us to AGI with only one or two other upsets on the level of reasoning tokens, but I feel like in chasing short term deliverables and competing in the same field some teams have lost sight of other possible avenues. In this universe when it comes to a level of general intelligence that's useful to us we have a single data point, n = 1, us. Other animals would be called weak general intelligence at absolute best. So idk why more isn't done to replicate how our general intelligence came about, artificially, to get AGI. Isn't relying on troves of data putting the cart before the horse and/or a crutch? lots of know...

Ideas for solo female long weekend

The top thing on my bucket list is to visit all 50 United States. I normally go on vacations with friends but they want to do more international trips than I can afford and are not on the bucket list. So, I’m starting to do research into areas that would be safe for me to explore by myself. I’m not an experienced hiker, but if it’s more of a nature walk, I would definitely be interested. I’m interested in history, learning, museums are cool and if it’s a unique experience, that’s even better! If a state has a signature dish or cuisine, I’ll definitely be trying it. I’m not into drinking and the club scene is not for me. I don’t have any experience driving in snow and don...

Food options in Seal Beach (end of SGRT)

3h ago

Hey all, I’m doing my first century this week, LA to Seal Beach and back via the San Gabriel River Trail. I’d like to stop at Seal Beach and grab a burrito or a sandwich but I’m unfamiliar with the area. Does anyone have any recommendations for a quick bike friendly bite to eat there? A google search kinda makes it seem like there’s lots of nicer sit down restaurants which I’m not really interested in. Looking more for counter spots or food trucks. Thanks!

First Kesimpta shot

3h ago

Last night I took my first Kesimpta shot. I gained so much info from reading posts on here with people reporting their preparation and experience, I thought I would post my own. PRE-SHOT RESEARCH: 1. First shot would likely knock you down flat. Take Tylenol/Ibuprofen and antihistamine before. 2. Take the shot at night so you can sleep through the worst of it. 3. Probably will have to go to the bathroom a lot throughout the night. 4. Most people reported feeling like **** 24 to 48 hours. Some longer. Couple of people had such bad reactions they had to go to the hospital. 5. Nausea, extreme fatigue, headache/migraines, fever were the most reported side effects. MY PREPARATION: I wa...

Light My Way, Guide me There

(Cheeky little repost from the main CC subreddit :)) The story of Jesus had never been particularly inspiring to me. A man is born and fawned over and eventually he gets himself killed because he got a little too lofty. Sure there was the whole part where he came back, but then you get into myth instead of the parts that could be true. My wife loved it though. Lily had been a devout Christian since she was old enough to understand the sermons, old enough to babble her way along to them. She was a real follower too, compassionate and kind above all else, even when those graces weren't extended to her. We met in college, in a religious studies class. I was a militant atheist with a chip...

Why TON Could Be Ready for a Breakout (My Take)

3h ago

Honestly, I’m feeling pretty good on TON right now, because of The STON.fi DAO that went fully on chain on December 2 which really caught my attention, over 115 proposals during the testnet and 29.8M+ swaps processed since launch (source: STON.fi blog) show that people are actually using the platform. For me, this isn’t just numbers on a screen, it makes me feel more confident holding $STON because my stake now has real influence in governance. I see it as a step toward TON becoming a truly community driven DeFi hub, and that’s exactly the kind of network activity I like to see before committing more capital. Cocoon’s launch also makes me optimistic, TON rallied 3.7% to \~$1.605 o...

STUB SHOTS // DECEMBER 7, 2025 — Where's Al?

3h ago

**Where's Al?**  *December 7, 2025 — 3:27 PM ET* Something else is failing quietly in America, and it isn’t the climate. It’s the credibility of the people who made careers telling us the clock had run out — then kept resetting it every time the money slowed. The climate movement isn’t collapsing because the planet cooled. It’s collapsing because hysteria has a shelf life. Donors eventually want results, not sermons. Members eventually notice when every emergency demands the same conclusion: *more money, less dissent, zero review.* Start with the institutions that were supposed to be permanent. The Sierra Club didn’t die from a lack of concern for the environment. ...

Recommendations for sweet breakfast restaurants?

3h ago

Every once in a blue moon I want to enjoy a day a bit more and in the morning I find it nice to go to some cafe or restaurant for breakfast. I'm wondering if anyone has opinions/suggestions for places that have a calm atmosphere and tasty options for sweet breakfast foods (like pancakes, waffles, french toast, or even a creative twist on something like that could be amusing to try) that you'd recommend. So far I've been to the Jammery a couple times and the food (taste and portion size) and ambience have been enjoyable, but I wanted to try something new. I also liked the chicken and waffles at Porter's, and I've been to Sunny's (in downtown) and the french toas...

Daddy Wants Me to Join His Other Family

3h ago

My parents' divorce was bad. Like, I don't even want to see you on visitation days, bad. Like, I’m going to tell our ten-year-old daughter to sit on the edge of the driveway and wait for you, bad. Like if a stranger snatched you up instead of your Dad, I wouldn’t notice, bad. But that last part didn’t happen yet. Alone on the driveway, at first, I wasn't scared. The orange sun would be setting soon, but took her time, just hiding between clouds now. So, I had plenty of light. Three houses down, some kids my age played a game in the street, something that combined soccer and basketball. Not handball, one of those games you make up the rules for as you play. They laugh...

Sicilian Food: A Culinary Journey South Of Italy https://www.dolceterra.com/blogs/news/sicilian-food-a-culinary-journey-...

3h ago

If you talk about Italy it’s impossible not to mention the Italian's passion for life, love of great food and stunning scenery. However, one part of the country which is often overlooked and should be experienced is Sicily. The island sits just south of the Italian Peninsula, separated from the mainland by the narrow strait of Messina. It’s best described as an autonomous region of Italy after having become part of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861. Because it also has a long history, you’ll find **Sicilian food** to be different, yet just as fantastic as traditional Italian cuisine. Naturally, the best way to appreciate **authentic** **Sicilian food** is to dine in local restaur...
