I have an interview for a job that pays $60k. I am not currently in the city but so far they don’t seem to mind I’m not there just yet. I am starting to worry though, if I get hired will I be able to afford rent there? I think I will have to get something kind of fast and possibly up to $2000. Ever since Covid I have found eating in restaurants to be overly expensive, lower food quality, smaller portions, dirty environment and poor service. I rarely eat out now as I find I can cook better quality meals that taste better, are more affordable and one doesn’t have to deal with poor service. Seems servers today think tips are mandatory and not a reflection of their service - possibly because many don’t get the tips because management takes a portion or all.
