I (26, USA) and my fiancé have three cats, all neutered, named Jimmy (5M), Cooper (3M) and Bubba (3M). Now, Jimmy and Cooper are, let’s kindly say, on the plumper side, while Bubba is a very thin boy. We live together with all 3 cats. When we first moved in together about a year ago, Jimmy and Cooper were having some stomach issues likely due to stress, and the vet prescribed a dry food for them to eat twice a day. Cooper had some bladder issues before, which was likely due to some environmental things, so he had been eating a prescription dry food for longer. We kept feeding them a “natural” dry food for a while, while Bubba ate wet Tastefuls twice a day. It ... AITAH for not wanting to hang out with my boyfriend’s mother? (26F)2h agoMy boyfriend (33M) and I started dating early 2025. Everything was amazing in the beginning. We hit it off immediately, and we couldn’t stop seeing each other. It didn’t take long before I started spending the night alllll the time. Now, some background first; When we started dating, I was in the middle of finding a way to move out of my apartment that I had shared with my ex at the time. (We got together when I was 16, and I moved in right after I turned 18. I was a **** teenager and got stuck). My boyfriend lived with his parents and little brother (19). His parent’s had him financially responsible for them the second my boyfriend started working himself. Him and his dad took care ... ****'s Kitchen: Miami - Episode 4: Shellfish Interests - Part 32h ago**Dinner Service (cont.)** \----- Now onto the Entrees, the Blue Kitchen kept their spotlights on Henri and David on Fish, but also had Edward and Rio on the Meat station, and they each had to communicate with Ruben and Samuel on the Garnish station. JC was also there as a Floater in case needed. Ramsay would call an order of one wellington, one salmon, and one Ahi Tuna special. David would lead the way, coordinating with Samuel and Ruben on how long for their sides, and they’d respond in tandem, and David would state in his confessional that he’s been used to the whole dimension of cooking fish, listing different kinds of fish he cooked in the past, but he doesn’t to overwork himsel... What are you doing to prevent food from spoiling or going bad too fast?2h agoFor me, I add 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar to some dishes, even when cooking rice. It helps extend shelf life and doesn’t really affect the taste. I’ve also seen videos where people add around 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of vinegar even in desserts since it won’t overpower the flavor when mixed with other ingredients. As long as I store it properly in the freezer, it works well for me. How about you? Rescued kittens update and food donations needed🐾🙏2h agoLast week I trapped and rescued three kittens from a colony that I have been working to TNR. So far I have trapped 28 cats some of them kittens. All kittens are with fosters now. One of them is receiving treatment — this little guy would never have survived the streets. He is still wheezing, but there is no open-mouth breathing. He was saved just in time! He is on doxycycline and nebulizer treatment, as well as antibiotics. This is why I do this: to give these vulnerable animals a second chance at life. Every kitten I help has the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, and loved, instead of struggling alone on the streets. 🐾💜 I’m so glad I could be part of saving these poor bab... advice for interviewing?2h agohello ! i have an interview with a fast food restaurant tomorrow (canes) and was looking for any advice on how to go about the interview. this would be my third interview so far as ive only had one job before, not related to food service. i have terrible interview anxiety and would love tips on how to make that less apparent to the interviewer lol, any advice appreciated! Looking for 3 more players for a 4-man squad in Eon Rush2h agoHey, I’m looking to form a full team to clear missions in Eon Rush. It’s a co-op action RPG roguelite on Steam and it plays much better with coordinated players instead of solo queue. Quick info about the game: Eon Rush is a fast-paced action RPG with roguelite structure. Each mission drops you into instanced maps with objectives, enemy waves, elites, and a final boss or extraction point. Maps and encounters are semi-randomized, so runs don’t feel identical. Co-op supports up to 4 players. Team composition actually matters. You can build around crowd control, burst damage, sustain, or mobility. Combining abilities makes clearing faster and safer, especially on higher difficulty miss... ****'s Kitchen: Miami - Episode 4: Shellfish Interests - Part 22h ago**Reward/Punishment** Ramsay congratulates the pairs of Edward/JC and Dani/Janie for their dishes to be featured for tonight’s service, as well as the Red Team for another challenge victory, and tells them that they will be in for a treat; he has booked them tickets to Tidal Cove, a waterpark up in Aventura, north of Miami, where there will be opportunities to swim in pools, cruise afloat on a lazy river, and crescendo down water slides. He tells them that he hopes they have enough sunscreen, because it’s gonna be a hot one up there. Isabela would say in her confessional that she knows her team only won two rewards (this one included), but she says having fun in a waterpark is definitel... After 20 Years on the Floor, I Finally Understand How CEOs Forget Who’s Buying2h ago# After 20 Years on the Floor, I Finally Understand How CEOs Forget Who’s Buying I worked a Tuesday night at an urban restaurant years ago that I still think about. Four came in about 6:30. Mom. Dad. Two kids. Parents ordered light entrées for them, kids’ burger, and kids’ pasta for the kiddos. Split a dessert. Left a decent tip. Gone by eight. Nobody at corporate needed to understand that table. They just needed to not forget it. Two things happened recently that I keep turning over. The CEO of Chipotle, in a statement that got approved, said the company wants to focus on customers making $100,000 a year or more. Around the same time, the CEO of McDonald’s put out a promotional ... What am I doing wrong to lose my belly fat?2h agoHi Reddit. I (24f) started a workout/healthier lifestyle/weight loss journey around Jan 24th of this year. I have been working out consistently (at least 4 times a week, if not more) following GrowwithJo on YouTube, as well as following a dumbbell workout I found. I’ve also made changes to my diet by cutting out huge majority of any soda or sweets (usually I’d eat a candy bar or more a day, and multiple sodas) and have even stopped eating out at fast food places. If I do eat out, I go for lower calorie or overall healthier options with more protein and veggies or fruit for healthy sugar intake. I have tried to watch carbs, I average about 150g per day with about half of that or more for ... Is plus card worth it in 20262h agoJust as title says, is plus card worth it. I started being intentional about my weight loss 12 days ago and have dropped 11 lbs so far. I know that isn't sustainable and that is mostly water weight. But a couple questions: How long does it take to lose the water weight? I've been dropping at least half a pound a day so just wondering how long that can happen for? Going forward, I want my goal to be to lose 1.5 to 2lbs a week. Is that realistic? What have been the biggest dietary changes that you have found to work? To be completely honest, I'm mostly focused on not eating fast food and really controlling my portion control. I'm also a big craft beer dri... I have a very important interview coming up, how should I prepare?2h agoHi so for context I have worked in the restaurant industry for about 10+ years in a smaller town. The thing is this town is also the state university town. So it’s a very unique situation. I know most of the restaurant owners in town on a name to name basis and have a great reputation in town. I’ve been in management for the last 7 and helped open a couple restaurants here. A recruiter for a food distribution company reached out to me via indeed. They are looking to break into the industry here as the distribution is primarily held by 3 large national companies. They interviewed me to be a new sales rep for the area. First interview happened over the phone. Once we got past my backgrou... Fast Food Style Spicy Chicken Burger - Coming Soon To Debras Kitchen2h agoIs it the right thing?2h agoThis is about my gal, Daisy. I’ve been in this subreddit for a while now, and seeing what everyone goes through is heartbreaking. Yet, I find myself in a similar situation. Daisys aggression started young with resource guarding kibble and bones at 10 weeks old. I got snapped at a few times. I worked with a trainer then and we corrected most of her behaviors and things seems okay. Fast forward to her being 6 months old, my husband got bit when he reached in to grab something from her crate. Previous to this she never guarded her crate. Around the same time she started being very protective over her kibble again. She even escalated to growling and snarling when someone would take her colla... Remodeling my kitchen, I found these behind the wall. Over the past 10 months, I’ve paid for nearly every one of our dates either in full, or more than half. I’ve paid for many of his Ubers to my house as he hasn’t been taught to drive by his mother who has made him pay their “internet bill” every month by cashapping her varying amounts, the last one being $140 to which even he realized made no sense as their bill is supposed to be $70. Why he doesn’t pay it directly through the site or app or over the phone is beyond me, I mean I’m 99% sure she uses more than the price of the bill on herself as she has been j... Looking for simple 1-2 pot meal prep ideas2h agoHey everyone! I'm a single dude who works for a municipal department. I live in a small apartment and generally haven't been cooking. I usually eat out and spend a lot more than average on restaurants with higher quality food and healthier ingredients/dishes. However, as much as this is somewhat sustainable due to my decent-ish income, it's not ideal for putting money away into savings and I could probably put a tone of money away if I didn't eat out so much. I would like to start meal prepping simple meals so I can save money and eat better. I have 2 stainless steel pots to cook in. I'm looking for high protein with lower carbs (type 1 diabetic), though I do need ... I just care about making good money2h agoI've started doordash for a few months. I'm not new to deliveries as I've drove with Uber. But thanks to the experience of that, I learned how to make money without doing too much work. Just find orders that are worth your time. My acceptance rate is less than 5 percent, and honestly I don't care. Why, there are terrible orders that aren't worth it. I could share many examples but how I see it is the pay, and how many miles it's going to take for me. For example, i've taken 2 orders before for 12 dollars that was only 3 miles. Even though it was two and it took a while, I made money without wasting my gas. Now, when I first started uber I took any order. ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
