Happy 2026 everyone. I want to start off by saying, we all need to treat each other with more kindness and patience in this town. If you don’t know how to treat or speak to fast food workers and baristas then you need to stop going to such places. I’m not talking about the employees who are rude to you first, I’m talking about the ones who are actually just trying to talk to you and aren’t treating you with any kind of disrespect. We are planning a trip for next winter, 7 to 10 days, have narrowed our accommodation choice to either a rental condos at The Cliff or the boutique hotel The Morgan. Any thoughts on these places, positives, negatives, access to beaches, restaurants and food markets? I think we will rent a car. I want to start this out by saying I am a trained cook and have been cooking at one venue since becoming qualified 5 years ago. As of recently (5-6 months ago) I’ve been cooking more at home and ordering out less and enjoying myself with cooking new dishes I’ve never done before. My 29F 6-year old neutered male cat has always been a very social cuddly boy who wants lots of love and attention. He is a lap cat for sure. Has slept in bed with me since we got him transitioned to our home. Got him from humane society in 11/2021 as a street rescue. I have 5 cats who have been on a weight loss journey since may 2025. they have mostly been progressing nicely except for one I think may be too thin. he looks healthy from the side but too thin from the top. the last two pictures were taken on the same day. Life expectancy hass dropped to 50-60 years. They have food and had warmth all winter. I suspect pollution, but according to the statistic it only affects health 2,2 %.
