Hi all, looking for advice or similar experiences because I’m honestly at my wits’ end. I have a 15-year-old Siamese, historically about 11 lbs, now down to 9 lbs over the last year (slow, gradual loss). He’s always been food-motivated for his food, but until about a year ago he had zero interest in human food. Important context: I have not fed him human food since he was \~3 years old due to urinary crystals. For most of his life, I could leave food on the counter and he wouldn’t touch it. I (30M) have been fat my entire life. In 2019 (24), I weighed at 465 pounds and diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I managed to lose weight and was down to 435 pounds in January 2022, but somehow my A1C skyrocketed to 10% (the worst you could do). Frustrated and depressed, I stopped eating in the evening. It was through this I unwittingly learned about intermittent fasting. From January 2022 to September 2022, I went from 435 to 275. On average, I was losing 16 lbs. a month. my last post that i deleted i described myself as xenophobic but then i just searched up the term again and apparently it means that u r racist. i am NOT racist. i thought xenophobic meant that you're afraid of being introduced into new cultures. i first heard the term in the A Series of Unfortunate Events book series when in in the penultimate book, described a banker who was afraid of eating at an Indian restaurant and called himself xenophobic. I switched at a time that they were offering buy 2 lines get one free. I recently had the realization that all I really do is work, workout, write and that’s basically it. I never go out, when I do it’s to get supplies & food. I think of doing things, skating, bowling, going to the zoo, new restaurants, social events, etc… whatever activities are around. I'm playing on a pretty heavily modded minecraft world with 255 mods on fabric 1.21.10, but i run into constant problems of chunks taking forever to load or just not loading and mobs freezing and not being able to place blocks (freezing). I just started renting a home in a culdesac a few months ago. We found out pretty quickly that there were a bunch of culdesac cats. They hang around all the time.
