![]() Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Fast Foods Latest Community Discussions About Fast Foods in US"War of the Worlds" by Rich Lee my review (text)23m agoINTRODUCTION Hello! Today, I want to talk about the movie *War of the Worlds* (2025). First, I should mention that I haven't read the original novel or seen any previous film adaptations — this was my first experience with the *War of the Worlds* universe. Before writing this review, I looked at international YouTube reactions. The film received heavy criticism, with some even calling it one of the worst films in history. Yet, despite this, I actually enjoyed certain parts of it. PLOT So, what’s the plot? The main character spends most of his time at his computer, observing online as “our side” battles “the other side.” He merely observes the war online. It is very inte... First 50k: done!23m ago\*\*\*SORRY ABOUT THE LENGTH...I just read this and didn't realize how long I made it, sorry\*\*\* I've been lurking in this sub for some time and thought I would pen some thoughts, maybe someone thinking about doing this race in the future can glean something that might help them. I'm no super athlete, not even on much of a competitive level so this post is purely one of telling a story, not preaching any gospel. I completed the Speedgoat 50k last month and it was the longest race I've ever done thus far in my running "career". I've been running for about 20 years, but don't let that number fool you. Started in my early 20s after feeling fat and ... PUBLISH DATE-October 17, 2004 Wendy's employee Maria Santos watched her workplace of 14 years shoot up in black smoke and orange flames, and eventually burn to the ground. Parking tips for the Cal-Cam Fair at the West Cal Arena (Sulphur Sept 4-7)24m agohey everyone going to the fair this year, figured i'd share some parking tips since it can get a little wild over there. first off, if you want to avoid the headache altogether, check out a website called Prked. people who live right by the West Cal Arena rent out their driveways and garage spots. honestly it's usually way cheaper than you'd think and you can get a guaranteed spot a super short walk from the gates. it's the best way to skip the traffic chaos getting into the main lots. the official parking at the arena is free which is nice, but be warned. the lots are huge and fill up fast, especially on friday and saturday night. getting in and out of Ar... Trying to Make Something Cool at my Restaurant. Healthy, Fizzy & Tasty25m agoI own a restaurant and noticed many customers are cutting down on Coke and other sodas because of the high sugar. They’re asking for something lighter, healthier, and more gut-friendly to pair with food. So I’m experimenting with a twist: mixing buttermilk with soda for a fizzy kick, and adding masalas for flavor. Think of it as a sparkling, spiced chaas—refreshing, tangy, and digestive-friendly. A fresh sparkling beverage. I feel it could be a great alternative to sugary colas with meals. What do you think—would people enjoy this kind of drink with their food? Looking for some honest feedback. What breaks the tie?28m ago. Here is a fun thought experiment I am presented with food item A and food item B and told to choose between either item and that I can not have both. I like food item A and B equally. I prefer them equally. My desire for both items is equal. My beliefs around each food offer an equal reasoning. My thoughts about each food item are “I love this food item.” I feel the same way about both food items, even though they are different items. They offer the same nutritional value and hold the same price point. They are different items, but all reasons to eat either item are equal. No reason for one item favors the other. So. My desire for either A or B is equal. My reasoning for either is ... I hope this didn't negatively affect my driver, but...31m agoSeriously DoorDash? I ordered food tonight and the restaurant I picked had an awesome 2 for 1 deal going on, so I passed along my savings to my driver in the form of a pretty generous tip with no idea that I'd be punished for it. My order ended up being delayed because it was stacked with other orders that still needed picked up. My order had to wait, then get delivered last & cold. I looked it up and found out that the platform has a fairly common habit of stacking good tip orders with bad/no tip orders so that they don't just sit around. After my order was finally delivered I wrote an angry message to customer support about how I didn't tip more so that they could ... LPT Always sit in the bar of a chain restaurant32m agoIf you have a choice always sit in the bar area of a chain restaurant. Almost all chains have tables for 2-4 in that area and that is where the best servers/bartenders are. 27 pounds down :)34m agoI’ve lost 27 pounds since mid May, and I feel great. I lost weight fast in the beginning & then it slowed down, but still losing 1-2 pounds a week. Ask me how? 1. Large deficit—I stuck to 1300 cal in the beginning & now doing about 1000. 2. MyFitnessPal—track everything. Diet, exercise minutes, & water intake. 3. Drink mostly water. Try adding lemon or cucumber slices to infuse it with some flavor & make it more refreshing. Coconut water, soy milk, & unsweetened herbal tea in moderation are all good too. 4. Watch your salt & sugar intake. Pay attention to your macros! High protein, high fiber, & high veggie meals will keep yo... Advice for Brokering Parents Legacy Restaurant Business34m agoHey everybody, My parents working in corporate restaurants at 18-25 until becoming GMs of a pretty big chain sitdown location in the 90s. They opened a bbq restaurant at 150 seats and opened another at 125 in 2001 and 2005 respectively. This is in a town in the Midwest by Springfield/Joplin Mo. Rev is 3.1M and profit is about 650k a year. They work maybe 10 hours a week combined. I am an account executive in ecommerce logistics with 3 years experience and candidly want to broker this deal. I have a trusted realtor (long time friend who will help me cover the land sale part.) I’ve had the land appraised, written a thorough CIM and employee tenure chat etc etc. listed it this week ... I’m a 26-year-old Black woman from a third-world country(this will soon be relevant) , married to a 30-year-old man of Middle Eastern/European descent. We met in a Middle Eastern country, where I lived with my nuclear family. Despite our different backgrounds, we connected over shared morals, values, and future goals. However, what started as a relationship based on mutual respect and understanding has turned into a situation where my boundaries are constantly being disrespected, and my privacy is invaded. No disrespect to Panchero's, but I can't stand to lose another good non-burrito restaurant. Y'all gotta grab that Shawarma *now*. Food Anxiety48m agoTLDR: I’m only comfortable eating at home. High anxiety at restaurants. For a few years now, since fall 2022, I’ve had food anxiety specifically with eating out. I get crazy anxiety when going to a restaurant. I’m really only comfortable with eating at home. I’ve thought it was ARFID, but it’s not like a fear of eating in public. I don’t get overstimulated in restaurants or anything like that. It started when I quit my job, and went on a preplanned vacation (to somewhere I’ve been to many times before) and struggled to eat food outside the hotel room. Last year, I visited family in Colorado and was super nervous I’d feel sick the entire trip. But I could still only ea... Are we really seen as this?48m agoSo, i work ON janitorial and maintenance, and one co-worker told me early on that the janitor was essentially the company's b**ch, and bottom of the 'food chain', metaphorically. I figured it was just banter but its starting to feel true months later, i can be cleaning something and people know, but most of them walk over it like they don't care im there mopping or sweeping. I shift around my schedule specifically to stay out of everyone's way as much as possible. When im cleaning the restrooms, i prop the doors open, all 3 of them, so they know these restrooms are not available right now, people remove the broom holding the doors open (neighborhood market, we do... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
