How Captain Vallejo and Dr. Burkes contacted Mission Rama, perhaps discovering in the process a “spiritually based sec...

The North American and South American Contact Groups Meet.  In the spring of 1993, Captain Joe Vallejo and I attended a three-day in-depth CE-5 training held at Robson’s Mining World. It was a rough and ready desert resort outside of Phoenix. He was working as a jet pilot for United Airlines and eventually achieved the highly desired status of a “line” 747 Captain.  **GIORGIO PIACENZA’S IMPORTANT ROLE** At the contact training event, Joe Vallejo met Giorgio Piacenza a friend to the Rama network. Giorgio Piacenza grew up in Peru. In 1974, Mission Rama had its first contact with what they believe are benevolent extraterrestrials. That historic event occurred out in the desert at...

That weird feeling when your coffee costs $3 but you’d rather give $40 to someone who doesn't even say thanks

2h ago

It’s a strange sensation when you actually stop to think about it. Those $40 could cover a lot of food or a decent meal out, yet it’s insane how fast that same amount just vanishes in a moment of findom relapse. One second its there, money you had to spend hours working for, and the next, it’s just gone because you fall in the urges and a domme is literally laughning at you. Makes no sense

My disappearence improved her life

2h ago

We wrote each other daily - thoughts, feelings, experiences. When we met (LDR) we walked around cities, ate good food at interesting restaurants and talked lots/had very good sex. Until she ended it. The thing to accept for me is; her life was improved without me in it. I made her life worse by doing those things. I have no trouble accepting a breakup, it's all voluntary. There's just something delicate there, me givning myself in all ways and making someones life worse. I don't blame myself or anyone. It's just kind of fascinating.

Shrimp pesto pizza

2h ago

First time making pizza! Love trying new things when baking, so decided to give pizza a try. I saw \[this Preppy Kitchen recipe\](https://preppykitchen.com/peach-and-pesto-pizza/), and it seemed easy enough. Making the dough was a no brainer. Pesto, though, was a bit harder. For some reason it came out whiter rather the bright green fare you see in restaurants. I did add a biy more garlic than recommended...well a lot more. I also kinda just dumped everything into the food processor rather than doing the veggies first then slowly adding the cheese and oil. Any pesto experts know where I messed up? Still tasted great, so no regerts. Love me some shrimp, so topped it with those bad boys. Omg! ...

Weight gain

2h ago

"Hey guys, I'm a 21-year-old uni student female, slightly active, 5'5" tall, and weighing 38kg with a crazy fast metabolism. I'm really struggling to gain weight healthily, and it's stressing me out. I'm looking for some real advice on foods, meals, or drinks that can help me bulk up. Are there any specific calorie-dense foods or protein-rich options that I should be adding to my diet? Also, are there any home exercises that I can follow to build some muscle? I'd really appreciate any help or tips, considering my uni schedule is pretty packed from 7 AM to 2/3 PM. I want to manage my diet plan effectively, but I need some guidance on where to start. If...

Help getting 2 Bostons to eat their food at the same time

2h ago

We have a 2-yr old petite female Boston, and are going to adopt a male that’s 2-1/2 yrs old. Our baby girl is not used to eating all of her food at the same time..she eats a little bit at a time throughout the day. She weighs 16.5 pounds. The burly male rescue we’re about to adopt is a fast eater, and larger at 25 pounds. If he sees her food bowl on the floor he’ll eat it, so we have to pick it up to prevent him from devouring it. How can we make sure she eats her breakfast before we leave for work, so she doesn’t have to starve until dinner?

The Science-Based Brain Upgrade: How Top Performers Think Sharper While Everyone Else Scrolls

2h ago

Here's the uncomfortable truth: most of us are getting dumber. We're drowning in information but starving for knowledge. I spent months researching this after noticing how my attention span had shrunk to goldfish levels. Turns out the system isn't designed to make us smarter, it's designed to keep us distracted and consuming. But some people are hacking their brains to think clearer, learn faster, and stay sharp while the rest of us doom scroll into oblivion. Here's what I learned from books, neuroscience research, top podcasts, and high performers about how to actually upgrade your brain. **Stop treating your brain like a dumping ground** Your brain isn't a h...

Fast fashion is bad, demolition is just as bad

If you **** fast fashion, food waste and single use plastics, then you should check out this petition. It’s fighting against speculative demolition, which is basically construction industry the equivalent of fast fashion. Takes 30 second to sign - and it ends at midnight.

Airelles Gordes & Chateau Saint-Martin | Review

2h ago

Throwing it back to warmer days from last year - I spent a couple days in Provence / Cote d’Azur at the end of Sep, so this is an end of season trip report! In addition to my stays at Airelles Gordes and Chateau Saint-Martin, I also went to visit the teams / had meals at Villa La Coste and FS Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat. Feel free to ask about any of the properties below. As a reminder, we can help add all the usual perks at Airelles properties and since Chateau Saint-Martin is Oetker, upgrades at time of booking can be confirmed through a Pearl Partner :) **Airelles Gordes** Airelles has been in the spotlight a lot recently, since Chateau de la Messadiere is going to be the location for...

Sick of tourist traps? Here's how I spent 10 days in [Country] for under $600, focusing on local food and public tr...

2h ago

I’d had enough. Last year, in a famously bustling capital city, I paid $12 for a *single* small bottle of water from a souvenir stand because I was parched and desperate after wandering too close to a major attraction. It was flat-out highway robbery, and it kicked off a new mission for me: travel smarter, deeper, and without funding someone else’s overinflated 'authentic experience.' My last big trip was 10 days in an incredible country – think vibrant street life, ancient temples, and food that will make your taste buds sing – all for just under $600. No fancy tours, no tourist-trap restaurants. Just me, a backpack, and a real desire to see how people actually live. Here...

Chick-fil-A plans sixth Norman location in University North Park

2h ago

Chick-fil-A has filed permits to build its sixth Norman location a prominent site in University North Park. The Atlanta-based fast-food giant submitted a $4.5 million permit application for a new restaurant at the southeast corner of Rock Creek Road and 24th Avenue Northwest. The project includes construction of the building and associated site improvements for the 1.25-acre parcel. County records show the land is owned by UTC II LLC, an entity tied to North Carolina-based Collette Real Estate. Collette partnered with Sooner Investments to develop the southern portion of UNP. No sale or lease documents for the site have been filed and the permit has yet to be approved by the city at the ...

IDL how buying junk food is effortless while getting fresh vegetables feels like a side quest

2h ago

A friend of mine joked the other day that she needs to “go on an expedition” if she wants vegetables. She wasn’t totally kidding. The last grocery store in her town closed a few years ago, and now the closest place to buy fresh produce is a long drive away. Meanwhile, she can get a burger, fries, and a soda delivered faster than it takes me to decide what to watch at night. She laughed about driving forever just to buy a carrot, but there was that tired edge underneath. Like, why does eating something remotely healthy require planning, fuel, time, and motivation, while eating garbage is basically frictionless? It feels like the system is gently but firmly nudging you toward the microw...

Please help :(

So we had a scare about 6 months ago where he got a severe fungal infection and almost died but I caught it just in time to save him. (Pimafix saved his life) I got my fish care **** together ( I thought) and got him a bigger tank and the master test kit and he did thrive for a while and his fins grew back better than ever and he gained weight and was super healthy and I was so proud of him and myself. ( the reason he was so sic was because I was a total ***** and put wild duckweed in his tank from a pond I know I know I’m lucky he even survived after that ) I noticed about a week ago his fins were starting to look not so hot so I did a 25% water change and hoped that would help, also pu...

Titrate or cold turkey?

2h ago

Hello, I have been on Zepbound for a while now. I started to go down fast once I hit 7.5 and 10 mg. I am lower than my goal weight. I wrote them about my concerns. I am starting to look very thin (in a bad way), and the lack of food hasn’t helped cognitively either. Last time they said we could titrate down, so now I am back to 7.5. Overall I’d like to maintain. Is it bad to just go cold turkey or should I keep titrating down? \*\*\*Also, any advice on how to get food in when zero appetite? I’ve tried things like protein and supplement drinks but can’t seem to do those either.\*\*\*

Corn Barley

2h ago

Hi all, I am planning to visit the Ghibli themed restaurant "Corn Barley" and wanted to make a reservation upfront online. Automatic translation is pretty bad, but from what I understood is that you can only book at least 5-course meals for lunch or 3-courses for afternoon tea? I just wanted to have a bite there for lunch, bit did not plan to spend hours in there, also I am quite picky with food, so I'm afraid I won't even find 5 courses I like 😂 Any recommendations how to proceed/ what to reserve? Is there actually the chance to just eat 1 item? Thanks in advance! 🙏🏼

Idky why I keep messing my life up, how did yall stay on yall growth journey

2h ago

It’s almost the end January and I’m still doing the same **** I told myself I would stop doing 2-3 years ago. Ive always been a happy person and loved myself but lately I noticed I’ve been self destructing myself. I keep doing drugs I never thought I would ever in my life, coke pills etc it’s been 2 years now. I don’t want to die or get sick but I always go back I **** it. I don’t tell anyone I know because it would be embarrassing. I also gained over 30 pounds in the past 3 years I don’t recognize myself in pictures, I stopped posting because I started feeling insecure about my body. It’s hard to switch my diet I really like fast food. Idk why I’m like this, I know what I...
