Friday night was my final night at my store of nearly five years. I had turned in my notice for the following Friday but had enough and left my key on the desk. I was the 1st assistant manager for the last 4-5 months. Had been a manager for 2 & 1/2 years, driver before that. When I tell you my location has RAPIDLY declined in the last few months… wow. They fired the previous GM for questionable reasons and brought in a new one that was friendly and all… but too much so. This new GM proceeded to quickly allow a lazy culture to set in, allowing people to openly have out their phones and have ear buds in. I QUICKLY became the “a-hole manager” in the store because I was the only ...

No doubt in my mind I can make it a year, 2 years, choice is completely up to me if I use this **** ever again. It gets better! Easier, almost forget about it sometimes being so far removed. So without disclosing too much personal info, I had a severe meth habit that culminated 11 years ago with a career job loss, arrest, car repossession, max out of credit cards, child custody taken away, moving back in with parents at 30 with absolutely nothing except debt, shame, a felony, unwelcome at the govt site I used to work, no car, license taken away for lack of paying child support, and riddled with brain damage/addiction/mental illness. Over the next few years I worked my *** off to make thing...

I like to imagine that they’re just a group of guys being dudes :) In the movie they don’t look like much so I decided to give their design a much needed upgrade. As for their job they mostly look for rogue robots and bring them to the repair ward, which is why they look like a dollar store swat team. I’m having a lot of fun making these guys, they really needed a bit more to their job other than being a living roadblock. (In the time it took you to read this, Picky stole the Axioms catalytic converter.)

AI bubble, market crash, healthcare and value investing.

2h ago

I have been seeing a lot of posts on social media and the "news" (if we can even call it that anymore) debating whether we're in an AI bubble and whether what we're seeing will be the future. However, for those of us who have been around for the dot com and housing crash, we have seen this replay too many times. Nevertheless, before we delve into this, we must begin with the definition. Don't *****. You know I love definitions. What is a bubble? A market bubble is when asset prices disconnect from real, sustainable economic value because investors chase hype, momentum, and the fear of missing out. Bubbles aren’t about technology being fake; they’re about valuati...

AITA for not wanting to do two Thanksgivings every year?

2h ago

I (43f) and my husband (45m) have two boys. My oldest (18m) is from a previous bad marriage (another story!), and my youngest is 9m. Each year, we have two Thanksgivings on Thanksgiving Day. We go to my MIL’s (who I love dearly!), and my uncle’s (so my side of the family, which includes my parents, sister and her family who live in Texas currently, my brother and his family, and many many cousins…which is big!). It’s been a lot to do two each year. We have to be at my MIL’s around 12-1. We eat, hang out for an hour or so( or more), Then come home. Then, I have to make a dish ( or finish if if it is something I can do ahead of time), which means I get no down time. I’m making f...

Slipped on a customers icy driveway while delivering package

2h ago

Location: Indiana On Monday around 2pm I slipped and fell on a customers icy driveway while delivering a Christmas tree from Home Depot via Roadie (like DoorDash). When I fell I heard the “pop” in my right ankle, but despite screaming out in pain on their driveway, nobody was around to help, I crawled off to my car. I believe they had a ring camera or atleast one of the neighbors across the street might have one that would have seen me fall. But as far as I am aware, the homeowners do not know of this incident. I did take pictures of their driveway at the time of the fall, there was no salt present. No sidewalk, just inclined icy driveway. Later that evening, whilst at the clinic, I ...

The Fire That Took Everything and Now I'm Being Haunted (Part 1)

2h ago

I was at work when it all happened. I worked as a therapist, and my last session of the day went longer than I expected. So I had to stay late, typing the notes I took during the session into the patient file. I finished typing and started packing up until my phone started ringing, taking it out of my pocket. I didn't even look at the caller ID before answering because I was tired and just wanted to get home to my loving wife, Hailey, and two kids, Thomas and Emily. The voice on the phone sounded professional, with a bit of emotion, and I could also hear faint sirens in the background. “Hello, is this David Cooper?” The voice asked. “Uh, yes, this is David Cooper. Who’s this...

AIO Therapist makes excuses for husbands bad behaviors.

2h ago

Sorry for the long post but I feel like I’m going crazy, or maybe I’m really the problem. My husband (M,51) and I (F,41), married 19 years together 22 , have started couples therapy and I feel like the therapist has made an excuse for everything my husband has done. I’ll give a  quick synopsis of how we ended up here.  At the beginning of the year my mother was in the hospital and I had to travel to another state for a little over a week. While I was gone, I thought he was taking care of our kids (14,11) and working. I was so grateful that he had stepped up to take the load on himself. Well come to find out, he had stopped working and spent the day locked downstairs drinking.  I f...

Scary Sweet Birthday Twyla

2h ago

Amazing what a tshirt sleeve, a dollar store silk scarf, and scraps from a Halloween costume can do in making a dress. I used Creepover Twyla as a base and painted her lip, gave her SSB Drac’s chocker, gloves, and cage skirt, and her Fearbook shoes. I also have Sweet Screams Twyla in box, but decided to borrow Dustin just for the cotton candy cone hat. She’s pretty much sewn into the outfit, and it doesn’t look pretty from the back, but I’m an amateur in sewing (this took 2 hours lol) and no one is gonna see the back so ehhhh it’s fine.

Carpet cleaner for large rooms: which to choose?

2h ago

Look, I get it. You've got a massive living room or maybe one of those open-concept spaces, and your regular vacuum just isn't cutting it anymore. Those stains from last month's party? Still there. That weird smell near the couch? Yeah, that too. I've been down this road myself, and honestly, picking the right carpet cleaner for large rooms made a huge difference in my life. No more renting those sketchy machines from the grocery store or calling expensive cleaning services every few months. **What Actually Matters for Big Spaces** Here's the thing about large rooms – you need something with a bigger water tank. Trust me on this. Nothing's worse than stoppi...

I (25F) am falling in love with my boyfriend (27M), but deep down I feel like he’s not good enough for me… help?

2h ago

My boyfriend and I have been together for only 6 months but I have never clicked with anyone I’ve dated on a personality level than I have with him. We are on the same page about family, children, religion, politics, etc but the one thing I’m having trouble with is his lack of a career. For context, I’ve been in a stable career and my dream job for 2 years now. I’m lucky enough to be making 6 figures and it’s something I’ve worked very hard to achieve as I’ve always been very career oriented. My boyfriend works at a hardware store (*not that there is anything wrong with working in the retail/service industry) and is going to mechanic school next fall (2026). I am falling in lo...

Raid my personal collection(something for every budget!)

3h ago

Goodmorning crystal fam 🥰 It’s another beautiful Sunday so you know what that means! Savvy’s magic crystals destash! 🥳 Their is no better way to embark upon your crystal collecting journey, than to buy from genuine destashes with varieties of crystals and minerals that are priced considerably lower than shops today, which are sadly suffering the heartbreaking consequences of tariffs. Now, I know my collection is only a fraction of what it was when I started destashing last year, but as you can see from the photos here, their are still many beautiful pieces to choose from! Much of my collection is discounted drastically from the original retail prices I paid(many still have th...

After a near-tragedy with a cat, I built something I wished existed years ago 🐾💛

3h ago

My cousin's diabetic cat almost overdosed on insulin. She lives in a multi-person household. Everyone helps with care. One morning, her mom gave the cat insulin, not knowing that her husband had already done it an hour earlier. A double dose. This could have resulted in something devastating. No neglect. No one being careless. Just love + no system = near tragedy. That's the day I decided to build Fido's Bark, a free iOS app that serves as a real-time shared pet health log so every caretaker instantly sees what's already been done. Insulin given? It's instantly logged. Time-stamped. Everyone in the family sees it - no double dosing. Food, activity, weight and mor...

Where do you guys do your taxes? Any suggestions?

3h ago

Hello! :) Tax season is slowly approaching and I’ve been going to the same private accountant for the past few years but I’m not really happy with his work for various reasons and wanted to reach out and see if any locals have any suggestions? I’m not comfortable doing my own taxes. I had a family member start doing his own taxes and tried to convince the rest of us that we should do the same. Well he ended up doing something wrong and now owes the IRS thousands of dollars lol so yeah, I’d prefer not to go that route at this time. I’d prefer to find either a good company or any accountants you all may know of. Thank you for any suggestions in advance!

so i finally caved and bought neocash.

i’ve always been a free player because im not 100% on board with the way tnt runs things and i know that addiction runs on both sides of my family so the whole gambling aspect is 👀 buuuuut… customization is one of the best parts of the game to me and i feel like, while i CAN technically come up with some cool np only looks, i can never get my pets to look quite the way i want them to. there’s no point in playing if my main goals are pretty much unattainable. im limiting myself though. im only using the cash i get from doing doggy nail trims which is usually like, five or ten dollars here and there since i dont do it often. so all that justification just to say that i bought a $...
