Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Discount Store Latest Community Discussions About Discount Stores in USI have less than 1 semester left to best my law school rival. How should I approach?1h agoI know many of you on this subreddit also have a rival. Tis natural for those of us with a competitive spirit. After all, a man does not refine himself in silence. Steel requires another blade. Mine was in my 1L section and we would constantly go at it from day one. He has outstanding recall. Professors always adored him because he made them feel inevitable. He never asked a question unless he already knew the answer (and wanted the rest of us to know that he knew it). He does not love the law like I do. I am captivated by its tragic nature. By this I mean it deals in irreconcilables. Rights collide and harms compete. Remedies disappoint. A good legal decision is often not a happy one. It... Toxic and not1h agoI still talk to my ex a lot so I’ll be completely honest with y’all. I’ve been on again off again relationship. There are some red flags so we’re planning on moving together. We both live in two separate states and we’re gonna move to Texas together in the summer and the last minute, he wasn’t doing good at work quit his job instead of just waiting until we moved to Texas together he enrolled in school into a graduate program and started three more years of school we’ve been together on and off now for last year. He’s really caring when you’re going through **** but I seem to be on the last priority list for him and what should I do because we talk all the time I went throu... My take on the USSR vs US/capitalism vs communism (false) dichotomy1h agoI'd like to give further nuance, focused on PRL, AKA communist Poland, that can be applied to other nations of the Eastern Bloc. Let's start with urbanism. You've probably seen those depressing pictures of decaying commie blocks in winter, often taken at night. But let me ask, do color blocks, with green spaces and lots of space in between, does this depressing to you? I think suburban sprawl is more depressing - it's literally copy and paste the same houses with slightly different colors, chemically sprayed, water wasting, sterile lawns, the same chain restaurants, stores and malls over and over again, and highways, parking lots and lots of cars. But let me tell you... I live in Oklahoma and visited the Zoo twice…1h agoTen years before the documentary aired, my friend and I took our four little girls to visit the Zoo. We kept looking around and looking at each other because it seemed like every employee was noticeably gay. There is nothing wrong with that of course, it just seemed odd. Then we paid to do cub petting (I feel sooo bad about this now) and it was in Joe’s house. The smell of pee was so overwhelming, and we noticed all these photos of men together on the shelves. Then it made sense that the park was owned by a gay man therefore has lots of gay employees. Two years before the documentary aired, I went to visit the Zoo after following Joe on social media when he was running for governor. My w... [PI] The Wife Who Saved Greenland1h agoNuuk, Greenland. Maren punctuated the end of the argument by slamming a cast-iron skillet onto the stove. "Lars, you’re an old fool! The fog is so thick out there, even the seagulls are walking! What do you expect to catch? Pneumonia?" Lars only sighed, pulling on his salt-crusted parka. "I have to go, Maren. Olaf is already waiting." "Of course he is! You’re only going out so you don't have to fix that fence!" Maren tossed a plastic bag at her husband’s head. "Take that Temu junk of yours too! At least your hand won't freeze to your beer can while you're 'working'!" \* \* \* More than thirty miles away... Oyster chowder1h agoDollar store smoked oysters. (Ok, former dollar store - these were $1.25 US) They were packed in soybean oil with 1 chili and a surprisingly large number of carrots. Usual chowder ingredients, skin on baked Idahos with onion, roasted garlic, carrots, celery, homemade turkey broth and coconut milk. Added the oysters at the end. Salt, pepper, Old Bay seasoning. I was smart enough to under salt everything. Came out great. I don't follow recipes so I used what I had on hand. Krime watch in Indian corporate (so-called white collar) world- msys1h agoI know the storage/system engineering services companies in India for a while now (over two decades) The industry and the execs used to be very well respected back then compared to what’s observed today and with a select few companies . It is hard to believe that quality has dipped to the level that it has and I want to particularly mention MSys / Aziro to be an epitome of a trashy company ever! A recent (this week) episode, tragic case in the company- Aziro’s top billing customer complains of a resource (a lady) not being productive at all for two months. It is then that Aziro Engineering manager managing the project realizes that this team member of his hasn’t logged into her system... What age is cool to bring a child to a gig?1h agoHey! At what age is it cool to bring a child to a rock/metal concert? Metallica are playing near us this summer. They are one of my all-time favourite bands. I have seen them, lord knows how many times. Anyway, they are getting on, and I really want to take my son, who will be 5. I want him to see them before they stop touring. What is the deal with this? I plan to stand well back or get us seats. Am I being ****** bringing him? Suggest me a laptop better than Acer Aspire 14 AI Copilot+ PC, 14.0-in Touchscreen Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 9 288V – 3...1h agoI'm trying to find better deal than Acer Aspire 14 AI Copilot+ PC, 14.0-in Touchscreen Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 9 288V – 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD ([1300 CAD at Costco](https://www.costco.ca/acer-aspire-14-ai-copilot%2b-pc%2c-14.0-in-touchscreen-laptop%2c-intel-core-ultra-9-288v-%e2%80%93-32gb-ram%2c-1tb-ssd.product.4000369091.html)) https://preview.redd.it/islwwh8w3cfg1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=2d4e634298f724efe50b851b26f498dddb6d88b0 Only negative review I have seen is it has a loud fan. Who do you think will get the US Olympic broadcasting rights after 2036?1h agoNBC has the US Olympic broadcasting rights for another ten years until 2036. Recently, the IOC renewed the deal with them for Utah 2034 and 2036, a much shorter deal than what they got before. Do you think NBC holds the broadcasting rights beyond 2036? And if not, who do you think gets it? Preserving Ancient Wisdom: Manuscripts on Science and Technology in Kerala1h agoKerala, a southern state in India, has long been a cradle of intellectual pursuit, particularly in the realms of science and technology as documented in ancient Sanskrit texts. The article by K.V. Sarma explores the quest for early manuscripts and collections that deal with these subjects, forming part of a larger project to inventory oriental institutes in Kerala and Tamilnadu. This endeavor aims to survey scientific texts preserved or produced in these regions, highlighting Kerala's unique contributions. From astronomy to medicine, these manuscripts encapsulate centuries of knowledge, often inscribed on palm leaves, a medium that has withstood time despite environmental challenges... How To Get Rid of Bedbugs in Three Weeks1h agoWell this thing won't let me add Flair (C) but ...that's how I know that what you're about to read works. I'm just gonna keep reposting this. Please feel free to share. Bedbugs are the literal personification of evil. Get a bag of FGDE (food grade diatomaceous earth). It is literally dirt cheap. Get a restaurant mustard or ketchup bottle (the one with the small nozzle at the tip). Cut it open just a bit so you can get a good, constant stream. Fill the bottle. now take the bottle and use it to lay down a solid line of FGDE, first, around whatever has bedbugs in it. Since this is usually the bed, I mean, literally, all the way around it. Don't leave any gaps. Now... I was tricked into letting a guy with a foot fetish take loads of photos of my feet1h agoIm (28F) and feel kind of **** and naive that I let this happen. It happened a couple of years ago. My friend was getting married and I was a bridesmaid. When we were out dress shopping, the wedding photographer was there too to take some photos and he offered us each a discounted private photoshoot in his "studio" if we wanted some nice professional pictures taken. I thought it would be cool to have some nice photos so I took him up on his offer and about a week later I went to his "studio". After he'd taken a few photos he said it would be nice to take some more "casual" photos. He gave me some casual poses to do which was fine. He then told me to take ... What food are humans most suited for⤵️1h agoHere is an activity sheet I made to get people thinking about their food choices. Do you think this will have positive effects, cause resistance, or is lame? Even if they just notice it’s weird to eat animals, that’s the most important takeaway. I’ll be handing this out during a mini fitness event I occasionally host at a park in my town. I call the event Vitality Festival (I made a redit sub for it too) My first gig - Open decks1h agoWell I started back a month ago, vynil veteran coming back after a 20 years hiatus, going full digital on Denon SC Live 4. During the past month I got used to the workflow and started building a Tech House collection, mainly from Bancamp. I checked on social media if there were anything like open decks events around where I live. Saw two places doing this and I submitted my application using their google form. One of them sent me an email back a week after to arrange a phone call. That phone call happened 2 days ago (thursday). The guy said he had a lot of applications, wanted to know a little bit more about myself, my style and so on. At the end he said : alright, you're in! The deal i... Just in case if anyone wasn't aware of this -1h agoTo give some context I am a total beginner in this space so please take everything I say with a grain of salt. I recently got an axis burgandy account to get a magnus burgandy CC. The credit card has been super useful to me but more than that, the burgandy debit card was an additional bonus that I had never expected. Couple of things that has been super beneficial for me - 1. 8 BOGO offers on book my show every month - 4 for movies and 4 for others. I had movies with few other cards but the others part is the one that is really intersting for me.
