2015 Honda accord and still have my original alternator. They are so expensive at Oreillys, autozone, Napa, and advanced auto. Like $500-$800. Instead of waiting for it to go bad on me should I order the $200 Bosch one off rockauto now (shipping takes 3-5 days) if I don’t then I’m stuck going and paying for that at a parts store. The Bosch one also comes with a 2 year warranty and roadside assistance if anything goes wrong with it. Probably only have the car for 2 more years at most

Hi all. I have a 2021 Crosstrek sport 2.5 with 55k miles, which I love. Yesterday after making a quick trip into the store my Crosstrek had a weird start, sounded delayed, like no cranking (see video) but started up. I thought it was weird, but didn’t think too much of it. Then it did it twice more in the same day after other short time being parked. So my 14’ 2.0L fusion has 107k miles on it, steering rack went out back in June25’. I haven’t drove the car since. The prices for these racks are crazy. Anyways. I’m finally ready to purchase a new rack. I don’t drive much, maybe 2000-3000miles a year. I see this rack from Oreilys; Autozone has a discount for it to knock it down $300 less than Oreilys. Autozone is by far the worst company I have ever worked for, seems like everyone in the company failed upwards. Store managers that sit on their asses all day, district manager that want to break state law and force employees to buy their own uniforms, or refusing to let me schedule rest breaks as defined by state law... Wanted to make a message to customers to explain my point of view. I run a low volume store in Houston and I wanted to address returns. There are many high volume stores basically surrounding us and people come to my store to do returns alot which keeps us low volume. When you return a part, AutoZone as a company gets credit from the manufacturer and does not take a hit at all, but the autozoners in said store do. We have to cut hours and we already get low pay because we are low volume. So please. If you buy a part at 1234 Charlie road, don’t go return it to 1234 Robinson road. I've been working at AutoZone for 9 months. Hired as a PSM, and trained under a 10yr store manager. My store is quite different than everything I read and hear online as well as other stores in my area... We take returns. On anything. My boss is not concerned with losing a few dollars. 19 sonic 68k miles 1.4L So this morning car started just fine got to the gas station to fill up, turned the key waited for the pump to prime, turn the key and everything turned completely off. Weird thing is the AC randomly started running tho everything else was dead. The key wasnt even near the car. I had cameras installed which monitor the car while parked. I suspected that it drained the battery. That feature is powered through the cigarette lighter. AAAcame out and gave me a jump bit said that the battery needed to be charged. I drove around for about 1/2 hour hoping to charge it. So now do I need to go to the dealer to get the battery fully charged? The tech me mentioned getting a battery charger from a local store. During my drive I stopped at something like Autozone. They said that they do not touch EVs. The AAA tech said that the battery itself is still good. Can I trust picking up a battery charger or should I go to the dealer?

I need to replace the passenger front upper control arm and ball joint assembly on a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Premium. AutoZone has the part for $299. RockAuto, Amazon, etc has these for under $100. I am not a mechanic or car parts expert and just want to know what the big difference is other than brand, price and the store selling it?

I just got hired on with autozone and nothing has been working properly. I did the orientation or whatever they call it, from the moment I walked in at 8am to 5pm nothing worked out. My codes to checkout people didn't work, I was told to call my store manager because I wasn't hired on at the one they sent me to, they don't come in until Monday. I tried calling the store Im supposed to work at and every time Ive called they've put me on hold for about 10 minutes and hung up, or couldn't answer my questions. Man, I’ve been so much happier since I left AutoZone as a Parts Sales Manager. At my new job, I actually get my full 40 hours every week — plus overtime. I finally get fixed days off instead of random-*** schedules changing every week. I am planning to do the serpentine belt, tensioner and I guess power steering belt on my wife’s car (if there is one for that model year setup which most of the literature and YouTube videos seem to show/indicate). I’ve viewed a couple of parts diagrams and such but searching for the power steering belt online at part stores Amazon autozone etc. seems to only yield the actual serpentine belts and the part number I’ve pulled seems to say it’s not correct fit. So I'm doing a radiator flush on my vehicle and I'm going to end up with a few gallons of old antifreeze that should be recycled. Are there any places around Wilkes-Barre that take old antifreeze? I inquired at Autozone on Rt. 309 today while I was there, but they said they don't take antifreeze and weren't sure who did. Google gives some general and conflicting information about auto stores like Advanced doing recycling. Does anyone know a for-sure place to take this stuff to be recycled?
