So the key fob on my 2015 Fit EX is officially dead. I’ve bought 2 different packs of batteries from 2 different stores to try, and neither set of new batteries made the fob work. I’m under the assumption that the fob is dead. I can use the trick of putting it up to the button to start the car, but the smart entry doesn’t work, and it’s a bit of a pain to keep pulling out the fob to start the car. So my 97 has been having a very random and very strange issue with occasionally bogging down and idling very rough and then fixing itself if I blip the gas. It seems to do this only when the clutch is pushed in. Coasting to a stop, sitting at a stop, etc. It has 266k on it, and has largely been dead reliable except for this intermittent rough idle. I have a small power steering fluid leak and a loud power steering pump so I need to replace the intake and outtake O Rings. Local mechanic said I could just get $1 O Rings from Advance or Autozone. I would get O Rings from Honda dealership but I live far away from the closest one. Let me start this by saying, I have been a autozone customer for over 20 years. They started off being best priced and that's why I stuck with them. So I have this 1992 4.3 tbi s10, I crashed it in 2023 and after replacing the core support, hood, fenders, radiator all with used parts, I drove it 30 minutes, parked it at my dads house and let it sit for almost 2 years. Home Depot Black Friday deals for gaps in my Ryobi and Milwaukee power tools and batteries. Random other goodness stored away in the larger drawers. A mishmash of AutoZone clearance and Harbor Freight magnetic solutions round out the lid storage. Ready to call it good.
