No idea how this happened got back from a trip and it was broken.

I went to AutoZone today to pickup some parts they said they had in stock, I wanted these parts today since I’m off and I could install them. This specific AutoZone was the only store that had my part in stock, and it said they were available at that store online, I’ve checked every other auto store in a 30 mile radius. When I went in there he went to the back for a moment, and couldn’t find them. He said there was a “glitch” or issue with their system or something and it wouldn’t tell him where it was, he showed me the screen and it very much said it was in stock and in a certain spot. Engine was ready for oil to be added. Went with Motul break in. First time using this stuff and was very surprised to see it's blue. Got the engine on the hoist and clutch installed. Was using my current clutch because it only had 30k miles on it. Everything was looking and unnatural was going smooth. Until.... I could not get the engine into the trans any more than what you see pictured. There's about a one inch gap between the two and I sunk 4 hours just into trying to close that gap. Around 3 months ago I bought a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata, 87k miles. About 2 1/2 weeks ago the check engine light started flashing while I was driving and it started bucking. I took it to an Autozone (automotive retail store in the US) and they pulled code “p1326 knock engine sensor.” I took it to a mechanic and they said the same thing. I just picked up a stereo from autozone had a $20 reward so only paid $20. Mainly bought it to see if the speakers work or not. Have any of yall installed this stereo before. I saw a harness adapter but not sure if it works. Can yall recommend a harness adapter or wire diagram to splice the cables. Don’t want to start a fire 🔥 😱

Just was curious, always notice that diy employees help commercial with lots of stuff, billing commercial orders out, delivery driving, and more yet most stores I find the commercial drivers literally help DIY with nothing 95% of the time even when they have nothing else to do. Never help with the truck, hardly help diy customers even if the rest of diy are swamped except for certain exceptions, and don’t even answer the phone unless the commercial phone is the one ringing. Is this normal and the way it’s supposed to be in all Autozone’s, or is commercial in my store held to lower standards than normal? Fuel pump died last night as we arrived to our airbnb 3+ hours from home. I stayed up watching YT videos and ordered parts from the local parts stores. Paid extra for the Delphi fuel pump (Denso wasn't an option) and they tried giving me a different brand pump so i took it back and somehow ended up with a Denso pump from Autozone in a Delphi box, crazy odds. Took about 4 hours in a gravel lot but we got it done and are back on the road! 😅

I began working at Atuozone mid 2022. Within my first month working there I was outed. The following two years I worked there, I had constant jokes about my sexuality. The store manager was the main cause of these jokes. If any part had "rod, shaft, hose" etc. There was a joke directed at me. I currently work at Advance Auto Parts and an AutoZone is currently being built across the street. Recently, Advance cut the store hours significantly and even changed the hours of operation to close an hour early. When the store gets built and is operating, should I apply there instead or should I stay at Advance? I'm the only person that really does any work at my store, my hours keep getting cut to the point where I may not be able to pay for college, and my store is a disaster inventory and POG wise.

4 Cylinder 2001 Toyota Camry. I was replacing the air intake hose, and being a 25 year old piece of rubber, the hose connecting the air intake hose to upper resonator ended up with a hole in it, about the size of my thumb, from the tip to the first joint. The hose itself should be easy enough to replace except Toyota glued the hose to the resonator so they are now one part. Even if I did want to replace the resonator box, it is not something I can find at Autozone or similar stores. Realistically what are my options here? After installing my 7.5” vrsf FMIC the transmission cooler hose doesn’t clear the fan shroud or charge pipe anymore because it’s too short, I took the hose off what do you guys recommend I do? asked another mechanic buddy of mine and he said to use coolant hose from autozone or any parts store and wrap it behind the charge pipe. Do you guys think that’s what I should do?
