I currently work at Advance Auto Parts and an AutoZone is currently being built across the street. Recently, Advance cut the store hours significantly and even changed the hours of operation to close an hour early. When the store gets built and is operating, should I apply there instead or should I stay at Advance? I'm the only person that really does any work at my store, my hours keep getting cut to the point where I may not be able to pay for college, and my store is a disaster inventory and POG wise.

4 Cylinder 2001 Toyota Camry. I was replacing the air intake hose, and being a 25 year old piece of rubber, the hose connecting the air intake hose to upper resonator ended up with a hole in it, about the size of my thumb, from the tip to the first joint. The hose itself should be easy enough to replace except Toyota glued the hose to the resonator so they are now one part. Even if I did want to replace the resonator box, it is not something I can find at Autozone or similar stores. Realistically what are my options here? After installing my 7.5” vrsf FMIC the transmission cooler hose doesn’t clear the fan shroud or charge pipe anymore because it’s too short, I took the hose off what do you guys recommend I do? asked another mechanic buddy of mine and he said to use coolant hose from autozone or any parts store and wrap it behind the charge pipe. Do you guys think that’s what I should do?

Hello, all of the lights on my (new to me) car work except for the taillights. I'm bringing it in to my mechanic in a couple of days but hoping to see if anyone else has experienced this? hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the show on friday. getting in and out of that area can be a headache if you don't have a plan. honestly the easiest way to deal with it is using an app called Prked. you can rent someone's driveway or garage right next to Conduit. it's usually way cheaper than paid lots and you can just park and walk over in a couple minutes. lets you totally skip the traffic chaos in the main plaza lot. if you dont do that, the venue is in a shopping plaza so there's a main parking lot right there. the venue site says parking is free anywhere in the plaza which is cool. just a heads up, that lot is for other st...

At my store we have 2 registers that take card AND cash and 2 that only take card, is this like a universal thing across Autozone stores or do you guys have it different? Also I find it strange that when I ask customers “Cash or card” to see which register I have to go to they very often ask if it’s the same price, why wouldn’t it be? 3 days ago I noticed that my radiator cap on my 2004 lexus ES330 had a rip in the rubber seal, which was causing fluid to flow freely into the overflow reservoir. I bought a duralast radiator cap from autozone and replaced it, but was still a little low on coolant. I figured it was time for a flush anyway, being at 215k, so I drained the old fluid using the petcocks on the block and radiator. Refilled the whole system, let it burp with the heat on for 30 minutes, and topped off the reservoir. As I was turning into my neighborhood, the temp started climbing and steam started pouring from the hood. Lo and behold, the upper radiator hose had blown off, and the radiator was toast.
