Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the AutoZone Latest Community Discussions About AutoZoneReally need some help…1h agoI’m helping a friend with brakes on their 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sport 3.6L. Got down to the caliper bracket and the slide pins are seized, no big deal I’ll go buy 2 new brackets. None of the parts stores had the brackets in stock, but I found a set of calipers for not much more so I figured I’d just replace those while I was in there. I gave the parts stores the license plate number to make sure it would fit, and when I went back to match everything up, it turned out even though it looked the same, the banjo bolt hole is on the side, between the pistons, as opposed to on the bottom of the caliper. After doing some more digging, it’s obviously the wrong part, as they have solid ... In desperate need of some help.1h agoCalling on the wrangler community to help me out. It’s easy for them to paint unions as bad because unions have a label. It’s easy for them to justify store closures to investors by saying a store is “compromised” by a union. General collective bargaining between employees outside of a union isn’t something that you can just put a name on especially if it is overtly non-union. Things like deliberately boycotting WITTDTJR and selling wrong parts “accidentally” hurt the companies bottom line directly and it’s extremely difficult for AutoZone to fight against it. Corporate has zero training against decentralized collaboration between workers. All they know is union=bad=close store... What does an AutoZone Store Manager do? Excluding hiring writing up and firing?1d agoWhat does an AutoZone Store Manager do? Excluding hiring writing up and firing?1d agoFord Taurus X (3.5l V6 Duratec) Intermittent Long Crank?1d agoI have an 08 Ford Taurus X (station wagon version of the Taurus, used to be Ford Freestyle) with the 3.5l V6 Duratec engine with an intermittent long crank. What I've tried so far: - New fuel pump - New battery - New spark plugs (NGK) and coil packs (FoMoCo) - Starter replaced 2 years ago with a reman. Took it to AutoZone and had them bench test it. Did it 3 times and it passed all 3 times. - Crankshaft position sensor replaced I'm really at a loss as to what else to check. It doesn't seem to be dependent on weather. Cold, warm doesn't matter. Sometimes it will start up right away without issues. Other times it will crank for a good 5-8 seconds before starting. Engine ... how cooked am i?1d agoas the title says… how cooked am i 😭💔 (2016 hyundai accent) Parts quality1d agoHas anyone else just gotten to the point where you can’t even trust the most basic parts from orileys, autozone or napa? I’m working on my personal truck and pull a brand new alternator out of the box, broken. Someone dropped it and sold it to me. I maintain a fleet of ford trucks for a landscape company. The ford dealer and i have become fast friends. Ive had multiple radiators fail in 6 months. We switched from continental battery systems to a deka and ive had probably 1/10 of the issues. 2x the price though. Alternators fail within a month. Thermostats fail. It just keeps getting worse and worse it seems. Most of it comes from the green store, but the zone can get some too. I... Is $45 for a Quart of Transmission Fluid Normal?2d agoI don't know very much about cars but this just doesn't set will with me. My boyfriend drives a 2014 Ford Focus and it needs transmission fluid. Up until now I thought all person had to do was walk into an O'Reilly's or Autozone and a clerk would help them find the right kind for a reasonable--around 10 dollars-- price. MB needs the fluid. He claims he's called every auto parts store in the area and they told him to go to the ford dealership (mind you he never set foot in those places only called) to get the fluid. His car is bought second-hand. It's not like he got it off the showroom floor. He calls me and says the two quarts he needs will run him about... Clicking noise from engine4d agoQuick back story. Not sure if related. Honda Odyssey 2024. Got my 2 year service done at honda 2 days ago (oil change and rotation). Next day, car wouldn't start. Been low 30s at night here and my kids play with lights in car and maybe they left it on all night. Not sure. Anyway, yesteday my wife took the car out. It ran fine on way to store, but it wouldn't start again after . A red battery symbol and yellow steering wheel symbol with exclamation mark showed up, both solid. A yellow flashing engine light showed up and went away after 4 or so flashes. The car would not start. It would almost crank then nope. I called AAA, they checked battery, 11.6V, gave boost. Started. Turned eng... FYI - Where to source parts: Heater Hose Replacement - 2001 Ford Ranger / Mazda B2300 2.3L4d ago**2001 Mazda B2300 2.3L w/AC - 230,000 miles** I’ve replaced the heater control valve 3 times in the last 3 years. And I hope I never have to do it again. **The heater hoses are the most difficult part to source.** The Motorcraft/OEM replacement valves are less frequently sold by big box parts stores. The OEM spring clamps are discontinued, and clamps available in stores are either worm gear style or a lighter gauge than original. **The heater hoses** measure 5/8” ID, about 1” OD. The 2 upper hoses can be routed to the heater control valve with generic heater hose, though the design and routing of the 2 lower hoses makes generic hose replacement not ideal. The hose that runs the v... Looking for pictures of some old kck grocery stores5d agoAnyone remember the Chas Ball store that is where the Autozone is now on 78th & Parallel? As well as the “Food Barn” before it was converted to a Hen House on 81st and parallel. Looking for any type of pictures of those stores if they exist and anyone here has any. TIA parking tips for kawaii kunai presents: pirates paradise rave at conduit (winter park 01/17)5d agohey everyone, figured i'd share a quick heads up for the pirates paradise rave at conduit on saturday, 01/17. the venue itself is awesome for a heavy music night, but since it's in that shared shopping plaza off aloma avenue, the parking situation can be a major pain, especially trying to leave late at night when everyone is squeezing out onto aloma ave at once. honestly, your absolute best bet to skip the headache entirely is checking out Prked. it's an app where people rent out their private driveways or garage spots in the nearby residential-ish area, and since it’s right next to the plaza, you can usually find a spot just a super short walk away for way cheape... Antifreeze recycling?6d agoCame from nc auto parts stores accepted it. Oreillys, advanced, autozone accept oil not coolant here Looking at recycling site same deal. Does anyone have a place that accepts antifreeze for recycling. No it’s not good to pour down the drain please don’t say that. https://recycling.chathamcountyga.gov parking tips for enmy, softspoken, summer hoop, and spirit leaves at conduit (winter park fl 01/16)6d agohey everyone, figured i'd share some parking tips for the show on 01/16. with a 7:00 pm start time for enmy and the rest of the bands, you're hitting that central florida evening rush hour traffic right on the nose, and the parking lot at conduit can get seriously annoying and chaotic. getting in and out of the plaza onto aloma avenue after the show is honestly a total nightmare. your absolute best bet to skip the headache entirely is checking out Prked. it's an app where people in the residential-ish area right next to the venue rent out their private driveways or garage spots, and you can usually find a spot just a short walk away for way cheaper than trying to fi... New key fob advice needed6d agoSo the key fob on my 2015 Fit EX is officially dead. I’ve bought 2 different packs of batteries from 2 different stores to try, and neither set of new batteries made the fob work. I’m under the assumption that the fob is dead. I can use the trick of putting it up to the button to start the car, but the smart entry doesn’t work, and it’s a bit of a pain to keep pulling out the fob to start the car. My question is should I go with the dealership for the replacement fob or could a locksmith make a new one? I know that stores like Autozone claim that they can do key fobs, but I’ve already tried that route to no success. And to add insult to injury, my other half lost the second f... DIY oil change on 2016 2.4 model, what tools do I need?7d agoIt's been 30 years since I last changed oil myself in a car. But now I am getting frustrated that my trusted local mechanic is always busy. So figure I'd DIY and save some $$. Would an oil drain container like this work: [https://www.amazon.com/Chapin-International-78005-Container-Motorcycles/dp/B09N9R6BT1/](https://www.amazon.com/Chapin-International-78005-Container-Motorcycles/dp/B09N9R6BT1/) Next would this fujimoto valve do the trick: [https://www.amazon.com/Fumoto-F106SX-M14-1-5-Drain-Valve/dp/B01HP5V092](https://www.amazon.com/Fumoto-F106SX-M14-1-5-Drain-Valve/dp/B01HP5V092) Not sure if 14mm thread size is the one. It seems to do this only when the clutch is pushed in. Coasting to a stop, sitting at a stop, etc. It has 266k on it, and has largely been dead reliable except for this intermittent rough idle. Today, while running to the store to grab some stuff for another vehicle, I pushed the clutch in as I slowed down to turn into the parking lot and the truck died. I did not cycle the key, I simply just turned the key back to start and the truck had a very slow crank (as if the battery were dead or the truck was absolutely frozen cold) for a littl... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
