Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the AutoZone Latest Community Discussions About AutoZoneAny experience with LP?4h agoJust got flagged and suspended by LP for some reason and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. For context, it wasn’t stealing or anything like that. A manager one day told me if someone leaves a battery core that they just don’t want (meaning they literally walked in and dropped off the battery and didn’t want the store credit) we could put in the store phone number and use the store credit for like a drink and candy. I wasn’t the only one on this. I also really dgaf if something does happen like getting fired. I just wanna if being honest was the good idea or like all other retail stores with grey areas and loopholes, lying is better. Autozone still got the battery ... Apartment complex8h agoIve heard of this before years ago but since it didnt apply to me I never truly paid attention. I live in an apartment and the neighbors were doing this knocking and scratching on the walls but I had fans so it wasnt something I could capture. Also it felt like they were following me around anywhere I would go. even when I showered id hear the knocking etc. I thought nothing of it until it turned into banging in the middle of the night to wake me up then the knocking was more persistent I had cameras but that white noise I could hear it but the leasing said they couldnt hear it. then this weird vibration thing would zap me through out the night like it would make me have a knee jerk reactio... 2015 Nissan Altima - Rear Control Arm - recommended spring compressor?11h agoSo my Altima had the driver side rear control arm break while driving on the highway (fun!) and Nissan wouldn’t cover it (known problem for Altimas with an official recall on the 2013 model year, but no luck getting them to replace mine without a large bill). I was able to replace it on my own, but in addition to being a big hassle it was a little scary without a proper spring compressor. The Autozone one for rear coils was too large, and I was able to get a couple strut spring compressors on there but they were in the way and didn’t help much. The TSB calls out a Nissan specific spring compressor so that’s not much help. So now I want to do the other side as preventive maintenance! ... came back and now I feel like leaving again/venting.2d agoMy hours have been cut to 10. The store manager has only been apart of the business for 6 months and it shows. 3 people have already quit. I’ve been with the company for 2 years, left for 7 months and came back because my other job had me very stressed out. I’ve only been back since last December. My husband also works for Autozone as a store manager. I try to keep work and home life separate but it doesn’t always happen. He doesn’t seem to understand from my perspective as a Red shirt. How hard is it to go to another auto part store? Or should I focus on school? Do you get trained for the commercial driver position?2d agoFirst day as a commercial driver is tomorrow and I had to go to this "class" thing last Wednesday that showed you around the AZ system and the "do's and don'ts" etc., but there wasn't a whole lot on the commercial department/driving portion. This class thing was also at a different store than the one I'm being hired at. Should I expect someone to train me on how to do everything such as pull parts, take orders over the phone, etc.? Edit: It went super well, I clocked in and my supervisor just had me do the intro courses/journeys whatever they're called for about an hour (little over). Then I went on a drive along with someone who trained me on ho... Core/Freeze plug replacement2d ago1990 ford f350 7.3 idi I have this core plug that popped last winter when I bought a 7.3 idi that the guy ran natures coolant through (note to self: ALWAYS check coolant). Anyway, I looked online before I took off the oil cooler and it said I needed a 1 49/64 plug, all I could find was a pack of 6 on ebay for 25 bucks, wrong ones. Hole measures 1.5 inch, bought 1.5 inch cup plugs from autozone online because they only had steel in any store. went to install and found only concave plugs will work because of that inner rim. cant really find any except from China on ebay. also tried to just put an old 1.5 inch block heater in it, didnt work. tried to install the blown out freeze plug with h... AZ Near the Top3d ago https://ips-dc.org/report-americas-20-largest-low-wage-employers-and-the-affordability-crisis/ History rhymes: Internet Retail and AI/SAAS3d agoThere is obviously a ton of talk right now about the danger Claude and other AI services pose to the SAAS sector. Like always the market is punishing the whole sector, when a more nuanced approach is appropriate. I am reminded of the transition of retail to internet. Many retails stocks were extremely out of favor (in many cases justifiably so) as Amazon started rapidly expand. While it was clear where the trend was going, many of the old retailers that embraced the transition, and had business models that were less “internet-able” have had spectacular performance. Some examples include Walmart, Costco, At Home before they were taken private, and Autozone. Lowe’s and Home Depot have a... Will this m/t fluid work3d ago3rd gen will this work about to change my m/t fluid We made the list3d agohttps://ips-dc.org/report-americas-20-largest-low-wage-employers-and-the-affordability-crisis/ Lowe’s made it on the list3d agohttps://ips-dc.org/report-americas-20-largest-low-wage-employers-and-the-affordability-crisis/ Whats this part called4d agoI’ve gone to 3 different stores (Ford, O’reilly, Autozone) trying to look for this and no one seems to be if help. Ford tried to sell me an entire assembly for 870$ when all I need is that Elbow part. This car is a 2012 Ford expedtion EL limited. If anyone knows please help 2012 Rav4 Alternator replacement: $750 vs. $500 vs. bringing my own part? Confused!6d agoHi everyone, I’m looking for some perspective on an alternator replacement for my **2012 Rav4 Base (4-cylinder)**. A few months ago, I changed my battery, but recently the red battery light popped up on the dash. I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed the alternator is toast (charging at 11.4-11.7). Here’s the breakdown of my options so far: * **Option 1 (Reputable Shop):** $750 for parts and labor. They seem solid and professional. * **Option 2 (Slightly Shady Shop):** $500 total. * **Option 3 (The "Labor Only" Deal):** The guy at the second shop said he’d do the swap for **$150** if I bring my own part. I’m seeing a **Duralast Remanufactured** alternator at Aut... Do they want me to bend over when I get there too?6d ago**** working for Autozone and **** Autozone altogether!8d agoI ******* **** my job. It was alright at first. Was getting 1000-900 checks, they were chill if I was late every now and then, 1 hour lunch, got to move about the store instead of being made to stay at a register and ring people up, go outside every so often. My wittgtjdr (or whatever) was always in the high percentage and when it was low, no one bitched about it. They didn't sweat call outs and the store didn't become a wreck if someone called out. It was nice. I transfered to another autozone down the road from the one I was originally hired on at (due to a **** *** decision i made) and everything changed. I don't know if its that the stores in a bad part of town or econom... Buying at the store VS buying on amazon9d agoLooking to buy 6 new ignition coils and spark plugs for a 2015 chevy colorado z71. I saw how much it will cost for these items at autozone and at other similar stores. Im looking at $300 or more for everything. However on amazon i could get these parts i need for about $100. Question is: is it ok to buy online or is it better to spend the money at the store?? Has anyone had any good or bad experience buying car parts from amazon? What do you all recommend? Had a passenger who had a tough day10d agoSo I accepted a ride that was like 5 mins total. I pick the lady up and say hello. I marked that I picked her up and it was like around 7:45 PM and I need to get to AutoZone to switch out her brake pads because she purchased her own brake pads. We ended up getting there like around 754 so she had time but when she went in there, they told her that they’re not able to exchange her brake pads because like the return exchange partner system shut down an hour prior to closing so so then like it was it was a one-way trip that it wasn’t like it wasn’t two stops or anything it was just to the store all right so then like I was in there in my car just waiting in the parking lot for like anoth... Intermittent check engine light - Thermostat10d agoI have a 22 Hyundai Palisade. The check engine light comes on intermittently and when I get it scanned at Autozone, it came back as "P0597 Thermostat Heater Control Circuit / Open". Few observations and questions. * It seems to come on during colder days. Although it came on on few warmer days which threw me off. It has gotten warmer recently and the light hasn't been on in a week. * It's still under warranty (under 60K) and I believe thermostat is covered but the dealer says they will charge $299 diagnostic fee if they discover that the issue is not covered under warranty. And I am also assuming they will charge this if they don't find any issue... * What would hap... More Cabin Air Filter Questions11d agoHello again - back with more questions. I posted a few days [ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/Toyota/comments/1sa3w16/comment/odvkeey/) (thank you to those of you who assisted) about a Walmart / FRAM air cabin filter not fitting correctly for an 04 Corolla, and was advised to get a different filter from an actual auto parts store. Went to Autozone today and the associate initially pulled up an STP filter that was just like the Walmart / FRAM one, but then checked around and found another one that fit more like the old one I have, so I purchased that one instead. Came home and looked up both the old filter and the new STP one, and both were made for years 09 and beyond. Questions: 1) Would us... Disgruntled techs, why no GRAVY SIDE WORK?11d agoYes, I know a lot live in places where it is freezing in the winter, YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH RUST, and some do not want to do pads and rotors at 6pm, in the dark, after leaving the shop/dealership, when it is 20 degrees, I GET THAT!!!! However, the work is out there, depending where you live, and how you market yourself. Some techs could easily make $1,000 a week on the side, doing gravy jobs, DEPENDING WHERE THEY LIVE. I will quote some extreme examples here. A 2011 Audi A4 2.0T with NGK coils and plugs you can make like $150 on parts with no mark up if you have a commercial account (nothing special needed to obtain one). Charge $75-$100 labor. Order your parts in the morning from the auto pa... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
