I looked online at my local parts store, they have this , but the product itself does not say g13. Do I assume its g13 because it mentions volkswagon? Do I have any recourse?14h ago3 days ago I noticed that my radiator cap on my 2004 lexus ES330 had a rip in the rubber seal, which was causing fluid to flow freely into the overflow reservoir. I bought a duralast radiator cap from autozone and replaced it, but was still a little low on coolant. I figured it was time for a flush anyway, being at 215k, so I drained the old fluid using the petcocks on the block and radiator. Refilled the whole system, let it burp with the heat on for 30 minutes, and topped off the reservoir. As I was turning into my neighborhood, the temp started climbing and steam started pouring from the hood. Lo and behold, the upper radiator hose had blown off, and the radiator was toast. It looks to ... electrical issue 02 V615h agoMy 2002 Camaro 3.8 is having some kind of electrical issue no one can seem to figure out. It started having issues when the serpentine belt came off, replaced the belt and tensioner and it ran fine for a while aside from a ticking noise. That noise ended up being the water pump which I already replaced. Took it for a test drive after replacing the water pump and all was good, went to the store later that night and started having misfires. Took it to my mechanic the next day and the car died 2 miles from his shop, we jumped it and he tested the alternator. Alternator was good so we figured the battery was probably going bad. Got it home but it hasn't been running right since then. The ... REAR BRAKE DIY TIPS17h agoI am posting this because I struggled immensely and stripped some bolts and could not find a reasonable tutorial ! You don’t need a computer scan tool or to pay a freakish amount of money . For the rear brake pads specifically, there is a motor attached to them and I was under the impression from what I saw that you needed to unscrew to screws and manually rewind the motor so you can push it in . It was very *** and frustrating . I however came across this block called a disc brake piston tool and it made everything so much easier. Just take off the e-brake , remove the tire, take off the caliber , disconnect the power supply for the electric motor part when you get down there , and in... Big Box, Aftermarket Wipers?1d agoWent to Autozone today to get some replacement wipers, and picked up these Duralast Flex DLF26N: [https://www.autozone.com/ignition-tune-up-and-routine-maintenance/wiper-blade-windshield/p/duralast-flex-26in-wiper-blade-dlf26n/343565\_0\_0](https://www.autozone.com/ignition-tune-up-and-routine-maintenance/wiper-blade-windshield/p/duralast-flex-26in-wiper-blade-dlf26n/343565_0_0) None of the adapters fit. Going back tomorrow to get a refund, especially considering AutoZone's website recommended them. So with that said... Is there a brand/model (26" and 20") that anyone absolutely knows *will* fit? If so, can you lmk what problems you experienced and if they fixed the damage? Tks. am i fire?4d agohey guys i work at autozone over an year and its been up and downs ngl. but yesterday (11/12/25) i went to my store to check what’s wrong with my hours? and soon as i walk in my co worker she mad weird and all up in ppl business and she knew i was fire cus she acted awkward with me and ****** . and my store manager who i thought i was close with acted weird too . they both look at each other and i’m just there standing there awkwardly and she said oh idk come in tmr . so the next day (11/13/25) i came in and my account kept saying disabled or invalid am like hello? so i tried to text my store manager she ignore me and kept ignoring. and i kept getting invalid and i call hr they didn’t ... best place in town for chains?, not too expensive4d agogotta buy chains real quick, anyone know where to go for them in town? had no luck at the DIY or other stores near it. gonna try autozone tomorrow but worried about prices. thanks you! I am having starter motor, cranking issues4d agoI have a 2015 GMC terrain Denali. The car hasn't started for a few years because it had a timing chain issue, I fixed it and the car started right up, however, I didn't have a lot of coolant in the car, so I turned it off immediately. I regret not letting it run for a few minutes because the car didn't start back up again. It would crank but not start. I figured I had ruined the battery because it was used and old, so I then replaced the battery with a brand new one. From this point forward, the car never cranked or even clicked, just silence. I then got a remanufactured starter from Advance auto online store, it was over 250 dollars so I thought this should be okay. I install... Update on non-returnable code scanner.5d agoWent up the chain with corporate and the BBB. They have stuck to their guns and consider code scanners as "Electrical parts" which a code scanner is neither linguistically or technically an electrical part, it is a diagnostic tool, just like a battery tester or a compression tester would be a diagnostic tool. They can't tell me why code scanners are not on their "big list" of non-returnable items, which only shows electrical car parts, specific parts for specific models of cars such as wiper switches, body control modules, connectors, oxygen sensors, etc. For shits and giggles, I went both in-store AND online to Oriley's and Autozone and spoke with management... Replace Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid jw jetta 20096d agoIs it okay to get this part from a store like autozone, there’s one nearby and they have options(higher prices and lower) I planned to get one on the higher range but I don’t want to waste money. Has anyone bought one from a store to use and had any bad experiences? Best mid tier brake pads7d agoIm getting ready to redo my brakes so whats some decent pads for delivery work. I'm looking for lower mid tier not really el cheapos but a couple of notches up. They don't have to come from oreillys/autozone either I have no probs ordering them bc I needed a new high pressure fuel pump and from the store it was 600+ tax and everything. Same part number ordered was 140. I also drive a 2016 f150 if that helps as well. Catillian Automotive, 14+ Years Experience, Cheaper than a shop or dealer. Considering leaving.8d agoI’ve had enough of the abuse from my store manager and his best friend that doesn’t do anything but gets paid $19.15 an hour to refuse to drive, refuse to open the safe or have a store key, refuse to receive transfers. She basically refuses to do any PSM tasks even though she is a PSM. I’m done with it. Upper management told me “you just worry about you don’t worry about your coworkers and what they’re doing” even though what they’re doing is costing me on dwell time and other things. So O’Reilly’s offered me a job minimum 19 an hour allegedly. Because I have 8+ years experience at autozone. So, if I leave what happens to my sick/vacation time? Can I cash it out? Just Did The Valve Covers. This is What I Learned8d agoI gave a 2019 Ford Flex Limited 3.5L Ecoboost. One of the round gaskets that keeps the oil out of the spark plug turrets failed. The entire turret filled with oil and was leaking down the front of the block. I bought a Fel-Pro gasket kit from Autozone for $67+tax. I figure Fel-Pro is American parts it should be fine. I returned to my shop and got to work. Everything was staring out fine. The valve covers were coming off easily with some force and finesse. I got the plastic stock covers off and started to remove the gaskets. Immediately when I tried to get the spark plug turret, gaskets off, I broke the valve cover. It was at that point I decided that I needed aluminum valve covers versus th... Parts recommendations9d ago2016 Jeep Patriot 4WD I want to do Hubs w/ bearings all around and brakes on my wife’s jeep. What do you guys recommend for online parts stores, other than autozone, orielys. Like 1A Auto, RockAuto, PartsGeek, A premium? Thank you! I have 170,000 miles on my Honda Accord and my original alternator is still on it. Should I go ahead and order a replace...13d ago2015 Honda accord and still have my original alternator. They are so expensive at Oreillys, autozone, Napa, and advanced auto. Like $500-$800. Instead of waiting for it to go bad on me should I order the $200 Bosch one off rockauto now (shipping takes 3-5 days) if I don’t then I’m stuck going and paying for that at a parts store. The Bosch one also comes with a 2 year warranty and roadside assistance if anything goes wrong with it. Probably only have the car for 2 more years at most O2 sensor purchase13d agoVehicle has 2. All stores including the hub only stock one each. The $30 Duratech one. Is this a ploy to try and force the convenience sale of the $70 Bosch which they conveniently stock 2 of? https://www.autozone.com/engine-management/oxygen-sensor/p/duralast-oxygen-sensor-dl861-0412/1329635_0_0?searchText=o2+sensor And who is the likely manufacturer of the Duratech one? 2021 Crosstrek sport weird start14d agoHi all. I have a 2021 Crosstrek sport 2.5 with 55k miles, which I love. Yesterday after making a quick trip into the store my Crosstrek had a weird start, sounded delayed, like no cranking (see video) but started up. I thought it was weird, but didn’t think too much of it. Then it did it twice more in the same day after other short time being parked. The car was warmed up all three times having been drive off and on all day and for 15ish minutes before each incident. I had the battery starter and alternator tested at autozone and it they all passed, but I know Subaru has some problems with CCA on batteries. The battery is also original for Dec 2020, but had no issue til today.
