About a week ago I made a post about my car voltage dropping on idle and causing it to shut off, it would ho from 14 to 12-11v (on the dash) when shutting off and even stay at 12v when driving. I did a couple tests that people told me to do. Use a multi meter on battery (14 volts was showing, but not when it was dropping on the dash) Take the car to an advance and autozone store to get tested (initially passed 2 times with advance testers and 1 with autozone tester) Take the alternator itself to get tested (tho was at orielys and it passed holding voltage at 14) Check for loose ground on battery (was loose but I changed corroded terminal connection and tighten it) After all this I w...

Working at a temporary Autozone store is the absolute worst. Only 3 iles, no nuts and bolts, help, paint, or accessories section. Nothing is where it should be and our inventory is always off. My store manager implements random “no return” policies on items to keep profit so my coworkers and I get yelled at by customers who should rightfully be able to return an item. Many lazy workers. The good workers are given the least amount of hours and the most memos to file. The worst employees are given the most hours and zero consequences.

It's been 30 years since I last changed oil myself in a car. But now I am getting frustrated that my trusted local mechanic is always busy. So figure I'd DIY and save some $$. Hello, all of the lights on my (new to me) car work except for the taillights. I'm bringing it in to my mechanic in a couple of days but hoping to see if anyone else has experienced this? My mechanic on the phone and someone who works at an Autozone store said it was weird that both lights are out. I'm hoping it's just a fuse or two bulbs. Thanks,

At my store we have 2 registers that take card AND cash and 2 that only take card, is this like a universal thing across Autozone stores or do you guys have it different? Also I find it strange that when I ask customers “Cash or card” to see which register I have to go to they very often ask if it’s the same price, why wouldn’t it be? I mean I guess sometimes stores have a card fee or smth but that’s like only small businesses, at least from what I’ve seen…

Replacing the radiator hoses while I'm doing the water pump and thermostat. I had to cut the hose off the thermostat housing because I couldnt get the clamp off. I now can't get the clamp back on the new hose and housing. Are there any tricks to this or do I possibly have the wrong size clamp? The upper clamps went back on with minimal struggle, so I don't think its totally my technique. I also have the hamdy dandy HF spring clamp tool. Any idea the size this clamp should be, mine measures 2" closed. No autozone stores within 150 miles have any spring type in stock of any size, and the nearest napa or oreillys is 40 miles away. I (20f) do not work at the Autozone store but I work at the DC. Most people **** working there but I don’t mind because I’m proud of my work. I go home feeling satisfied because I know I work hard. The dc has high expectations of its workers and we have to hit a quota. We call it production. If we don’t hit it we get written up. I hit production in my normal areas easily but I’ve been moved to two new areas and I’m still learning. Because I’m being trained, I’m exempt from meeting the quota. I have a 2004 Acura MDX. I am looking to replace the pads and rotors this weekend. I have had trouble with Autozone's store brand and I want to move away from those. NAPA has some kits that come with ceramic pads and price is great. I just want some high quality parts even if they come at a higher price point.
