Hi, I’m (20f) looking for a full time job and I’ve been recently having trouble with it. I recently got a certificate in esthetics but have not taken my state board due to personal reasons so I am not licensed yet. I have been wanting to work as a receptionist and I have yet to even land an interview. I have 1 year experience in retail sales associate, worked at Arby’s as a team member, and worked at Texas Roadhouse as Busser/ food runner. I believe I have enough skills and knowledge for it I don’t understand what I am missing, Any tips to land in the receptionist field?

The closest Arby's to Telluride is 90 minutes away in Montrose, CO. And anyone who has ever visited Telluride also knows there isn't a single chain in the entire town. I only go the ones with good coupons. I got 4 pages of fast food apps. I even signed up with different birthday months so I’m always getting bday freebies 😭. Back in 2015 Burger King had the best coupons. I deleted their app and don’t go cuz their coupons are trash and they charge extra for cheese.

So this is something that my elementary school did that I’ve never heard of from anyone else including people from neighboring towns in my city. In the 90’s, my school cafeteria served fast food every day. McDonald’s, KFC, Dominoes, Arby’s and Subway. This wasn’t a special thing - it was the only hot lunch they offered. For McDonald’s, it’d be a burger, carrots/celery and a milk. Sometimes McDonalds would even do grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup - the grilled cheese was a burger bun turned inside out with cheese inside. Had IST as a connection and went to the upper food court with Popeyes, Sbarro, Arby’s, etc. and saw this Döner place. Wtf are these prices?? Good thing I checked with a currency calculator before buying — I thought I was tweaking when I first saw the converted price. It was already a red flag that all the other restaurants had their menu in €, and this was the only one in lira.
