We will be replacing our 2004 water heater ourselves. It works just fine but it's a ticking bomb. The duct at the top does this awkward shape, trapping heat and damaging it. Since we are replacing the heater, any advice on removing that segment of ducting to replace with one that's not unecessarily curvy? It looks akward taking it off that close to pipes.

I had three different credit cards all get compromised within the last week or so, from three different companies, but I still have my wallet on me. I have these cards from various promos for points, and I always pay off my statement on time. One is a Capital One card that I use for my daily purchases, groceries, online shopping, etc. it's my go-to card for most things.
