We’re doing things differently.45m agoI’ve been a part of this community for a long time, and I’m tired of seeing great hardware like the Apple TV held back by clunky, subscription-heavy players. This week, we reached a massive milestone: we’ve moved onto real hardware testing. No more simulators. Accused of using a mobile phone while driving52m agoLocation: United Kingdom Hi everyone. Some advice would be greatly appreciated. For context I am now 19 and this happened back in March 2025, when I was 18. I was pulled over by a police motorcycle on a main road for use of a mobile phone while driving. I was not doing this, and would have no need to as I have spent over £500 to have Apple CarPlay installed in my older vehicle to remove any need to touch my phone as I do many motorway miles and want to be as safe as possible, especially as a new driver. What I was doing, is adjusting the cable that plugs into the cars screen as I am part of the Apple Developer program and at the time there was an issue on the BETA version of IOS 26 which... My fnaf timeline57m agoMy fnaf timeline, which is a mix of the games and movie. Late 1970s- Origins. Fredbear's Family Diner, a small roadside diner, opens under William Afton and Henry Emily. It features two main animatronics named Fredbear and Springbonnie. 1982- The scandal Freddy Fazbear's Pizza opens its doors, featuring new cutting edge state of the art animatronics that by the public were called the "Toy animatronics". Charlotte Emily, Henry's daughter, dies on site. It is deemed an accident, but public outrage follows and the pizzeria closes down. Charlotte possesses one of the animatronics, The Marionette. William is responsible for the kill. 1985- The grand reopening Fred... The worst-case scenario regarding Shein58m agoCan see 2 aircraft taking off from Tonopah Test Range Airport.1h agoThought people would think this is cool. Sometimes i go on Apple Maps and search around in this area using the satellite view to see if i can find any interesting things and when i was looking around i saw this airbase then zoomed in and saw these weird shapes. Then i zoomed in more and could make out 1 aircraft, not sure what kind, and then right next to it seems to be either the shadow of it or another aircaft that just wasnt rendered in i guess. I also dont know what im seeing with those reflective looking outlines of the aircraft. You can kinda see one behind the one on the right and also behind the shadow on the left. The cords are 37.80587° N, 116.78430° W on Apple maps. And again i ... Why Coach, why!!!1h agoI juuuuuusssttt got the Coach quilted tabby top handle for Christmas (thanks hubby) and I love love love it. But now I see this??? Red is my happy color. I’m obsessed with red as a neutral… why are you doing this to me, Coach?? Stop swiping, start training: Beta testers needed for the world's first social dating gym1h agoWe are building **Algo-Rhythm Dating**, an emotionally intelligent platform designed to be the antidote to the superficiality and lack of accountability in today's dating apps. We are looking for beta testers to try out the full ecosystem: * **🎭 The Rehearsal Room:** A "social sandbox" where you practice your conversation skills against AI Archetypes to reduce dating anxiety before you match with real people. * **💃 The Blind Dancefloor:** A "Love is Blind" connection model where you connect on "Vibe" and personality first—photos are only revealed after you step closer. * **🧠 Your AI Coaching Staff:** Get real-time advice from tools like "... Looking for cards!1h agoHi, first post! My dad and I are getting into collecting decks of playing cards. We really enjoy going into stores physically to look at playing cards instead of just shopping online, we have explored the common stores as in Barnes and nobles, Walgreens, target, Walmart, with a lot just having the same stuff in rotation. We are located in CA and I will soon be heading to PA for a while, was wondering if anyone has some recommendations of physical stores that sell unique playing cards with art styles. I already am aware of some online sites that have some cool cards, but we love going and looking in person. Please and thanks!! non-motorized vehicle parking policy1h agoI am looking for any comments on a proposed revision of our non-motorized vehicle parking policy. The policy revision specifically calls out tricycles and strollers (function of more children living here), and expands which rooms are available for parking as we have more vehicles needing a place to go. # Human-Powered Vehicle Policy \[Name of Cooperative\] * Provides safe and secure parking facilities for bicycles, scooters, strollers, and other human-powered wheeled vehicles. * Supports residents maintaining and repairing these items * And overall, adopts a policy that supports these forms of transportation among its membership and its guests. **Definitions:** For the purposes of t... Exact App Name Not Ranking in App Store Search Even When Typed Fully1h agoI published an iOS app called Lexably, a SAT vocabulary learning app. When I type the exact name “Lexably” into the App Store search, my app does not appear at the top and sometimes not at all. Instead, unrelated e-commerce apps show up first. Is this usually caused by issues with the app title, subtitle, keyword field, description, or low initial installs and reviews? I want to know what specifically affects exact-name ranking and what I should change to fix it. Please if anyone knows any solution to this please let me know in the comments or DM. I'm getting back to the hobby after a bit of a hiatus. I ran the circuit of my FLGSs today. This is basically my first time checking out these places since moving to the area. One of the stores in particular resonated with me. It's an old school place with an old school vibe. It was small, but had more rpg books than all the other locations combined. I was able to talk with the manager for a bit and he was cool, too. My original intent was try to get some BX (OSE) or my homebrew cosmic horror game to a table for a public game. I figured I could do B/X West Marches style so folks could pop in/out as they l... Best Target store in NSW1h agoHi everyone, I am currently loving Target and want to know what you think is the best Target store in NSW? I have lived between Sydney and Canberra and travel alot and love to pop into the local target to see what styles/size options they have. I've noticed that Blacktown store often gets stock on the floor before it's listed online so I love to browse there semi-regularly. I am a size M-L or a 14-16 and I tend to always find my size stocked when I pop into store. They don't seem to get much range in swimwear (probably due to being located a fair way from the ocean) Plus they have the nice modern change rooms with the surround mirrors to get a good look at how the styles fit. ... I built an iOS app to help with real conversations ,inspired by being painfully shy growing up1h agoGrowing up, I was painfully shy, the kind where your mind goes blank mid-conversation and you replay it for hours afterward,(I also had maladaptive day-dreaming). It followed me through my teens, and even though I wanted to be more confident, nothing I tried really addressed the moment conversations actually happened. Things slowly changed in my mid-twenties when I started university. Being forced into social situations helped, but I always felt like there was a missing layer; practice and guidance before or during real conversations, not after. For years I had the idea of building something around this, but it felt unrealistic. I assumed creating an app like that would be too expensive or... hiring1h agopaper applications available in store reptile caregiver/specialist - full time position customer care - part time VS Code–inspired portfolio1h agobuilt a **VS Code–inspired portfolio** using **React + Vite** where: * tabs can be dragged out into floating windows * Integrated terminal-Gemini Powered (CLI-style navigation). * file explorer, extensions panel, Git panel, etc. the goal was to make a portfolio feel more like an **actual dev environment** not just another landing page. I ordered this at a few locations (around the Pittsburgh area) before Christmas but all were canceled saying it was out of stock (but showed in stock on the website). There are very few for sale on other platforms and the ones I do see are listed on EBay for over $300 🤦🏼♀️ I know the other Jazwares FNAF plushies are starting to re-stock but I’m not sure if this one will due to it being a Hot Topic exclusive. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. My son desperately wants this and I feel like a fail that I was able to make it happen for Christmas. Thank you!!! PSA - Big 5 Sale1h agoNot sure if this violates the rules, but just wanted to call out that Big 5 (not sure if all locations or just the ones by me in CO) are having 30% off on most things in store, including firearms. Obviously taxes vary but at my store they were $1120 and with the discount was $780. Best deal I've seen in a while on a brand new Mini. Even with taxes/fees wound up being cheaper for me than buying online and shipping to an FFL. Just wanted to spread the word for anyone in the market. [Question] Are you interested in tracking wrist time for your watches?1h agoI started tracking how often I wear each of my watches using Apple Notes, just out of curiosity. It worked… but it wasn’t very accessible or intuitive. That got me thinking: why not build a simple app specifically for tracking watch usage? I looked around the App Store but couldn’t really find anything that did exactly this. So I ended up making one for myself. I’ve been using it for personal tracking, and it’s been surprisingly useful for understanding my rotation. I thought it might be interesting to share it with fellow watch enthusiasts here who enjoy this kind of nerdy tracking too. Would anyone here be interested in using something like this? Migrating to Opencloud (docker) - using existing nextcloud data stores1h agoI'm looking a migrating to opencloud. I didn't feel like taking all user files and importing them into an opencloud specific format, so in my compose file I mapped a user storage directory with it's guid to the location where stored for nextcloud. I also did this so I could continue to evaluate opencloud while leaving my nextcloud instance alone. All files on disk are owned my my user, which happens to be the 1000 user. In opencloud I can see them no issues. But if I upload it creates the metadata files in uploads and 0 byte stub in the uplooad location, but never finishes processing. I I use the UI and try to delete a file I get a 500 error (and I have no idea how to f... 🛡︠Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
