I’m a 23 year post-grad coming to work in Minnetonka/Plymouth area and currently apartment hunting. I’m leaning towards some apartments in the Wolfe Park area of SLP and am curious if anyone has any thoughts. In particular I’m interested location/accessibility to grocery stores, things to do, safety, etc. Also, what is the traffic like? I’d be taking Hwy 7 west to get to work. I want to live somewhere safe and be able to go on walks without feeling on edge. I would also prefer to live somewhere where my car doesn’t get broken into haha. I'm building an app that puts the user on a map as soon as they log in. These maps have previously saved markers on them, which users have added. I started this journey with Google Maps and decided to switch to MapBox, since everything I read said it was cheaper than Google Maps. The app also uses search API, so that users can find the locations they want to pin to their maps. This is all a bit embarrassing, I have been exclusively using a Mac for 25 years now and can clean up my own issues with a large degree of reliability but now I am stuck. Before the last update (26.3.1), my desktop TV app for my Mac ran perfectly and had a very clean interface and now it looks like this (please see pic). There used to be a clean little thumbnail pic and the text for the title, etc below, now (even with the transparency/glass b.s. dialed all the way down) this is what I see - no titles and these little nightmares in their place. I’ve been using Android smartphones since 2011, when I entered the Android world with a Motorola Defy. Since then, Google Maps has been my main navigation and map app for almost everything. Over the years, I also learned how to flash phones, install custom operating systems, and manage my devices myself. I’ve always been careful with backups and have **never** lost any important data. Today I use three smartphones, all connected to the same Gmail account: a new Samsung S25 and two older Android phones. All of them work well overall. I have been using RightWorks for several years and its been generally great for my cloud/hosted Quickbooks Enterprise environment. We have about 30 company files (and growing), I have my own QBE license, as well as my own licenses for Word, Excel, Acrobat that are all available in the remote desktop environment from RightWorks. I know a lot of folks are migrating away from Nest, as am I, so I wanted to report a good experience with the Honeywell Home 9000. It is currently on sale at Best Buy for $139 - best pricepoint I can find for a device that looks good on the wall and does what a smart thermostat should. Honeywell's app (TCC, or Total Connect Comfort in the Play/Apple store) is very meh, though it is stable. I have been using it for year or two in a rental building. But when you use the Honeywell integration on Home Assistant, you get much closer to an Ecobee type UX. One important thing to note is that the thermostat does require a "C Wire."
