After years of going to both, I've landed on this division: Lowe's: Appliances (better selection and pricing in my area), paint (ProDesk staff at my store actually know their stuff), and anything where I want a cleaner, less chaotic shopping experience Home Depot: Lumber (better quality at my local store), power tools, anything where I need a contractor-grade option. Also their app's store inventory map is genuinely better I know this is completely location-dependent. The difference between a well-run Lowe's and a poorly-run one is enormous. What's your system?
