I recently got back into sewing, but we don’t have any major fabric stores here in Lex anymore (Joann, Hancock Fabrics, etc.) What are some good fabric and sewing supply stores in and around Lex? I’m also willing to drive all the way to Louisville or Cincy for a great selection if there is something within a \~90 minute drive. ETA: also don’t say Michael’s. I’ve seen what they have at both locations here, and I’m looking for something better than that.

Wanted to share with some fellow DC transit lovers! I’ve always liked the physical arrivals boards folks make here and wanted a pocketable version that’s always on me. I’ve returned things before and I can usually pick Kohls or the UPS store by me. This time, the only option it gave was an Amazon Counter at a Whole Foods 15 miles away in the opposite direction of my house/work. I saw a post from about a year ago with people saying they’ve dropped off packages at places beside what it forced them to pick with no issue, but I didn’t know if something had changed in policy since then. It’s a gaming controller that I briefly used (ordered a week ago), so I don’t know if the prompts I entered were causing the one location drop-off, but I also tried it saying “no, never used” but it’s still forcing that location.

I thought my Zo Mini’s bread was good. I had no idea that it could have been so much better! My Virtuoso (non-plus) is an amazing machine. Having an extra heating element (located in the lid) really bakes bread uniformly. I also noticed that the dough was very smooth and tight as it rose. I’m really seeing what all the hype is about. I’ll keep my mini for smaller loafs, but this Virtuoso will be my everyday baker. It’s that good! About a week ago my water bottle popped open and spilled on one side of my Macbook. Upon first look, some of the water had gotten into the screen of the laptop. Immediately I put it upside down and attempted to let it air dry for about a week. I opened my laptop on Friday to it functioning normally. I then noticed the photo below.
