Hi all! As the title states I have a Kobalt LK20175 and it is quite loud while operating. The most common remedies I’ve seen are intake silencers, rubber pads to set the compressor on, and soundproof enclosures. I like the idea of building an enclosure but I’m worried about heat related issues. I drew up a quick design for a box lined internally with soundproof material with a vent on top. Would something like this be enough ventilation for using for long periods of time? Open to any other suggestions as well. Part number and design pic attached, thanks!

I am currently working at a Dirk in my city, but the location I work at is kinda far from my house and inconvenient for me to reach. I saw on the website that there are 3 other stores closer to my house that are looking for employees. How would it work if I wanted to ask my manager/HR to transfer me to a different location? I have about 20 years worth of photos stored on my PC. They're also backed up to multiple external hard drives, and rsync running nightly over a vpn tunnel to my parents' house for off-site backups in case my house burns down or something. I also pay for OneDrive where I store the photos and share the whole library with my family. It also doubles as yet another off-site backup.
